Tomorrow you can Google it and easily found on multiple sites if it’s like all the other times.
BioElectronics’ Chairman Updates Investors
Outlines Sales Activities, Clinical Trials, and a potential legal Action Against MundiPharma
FREDERICK, MD. October 16, 2024 -- (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NewMediaWire -- BioElectronics Corporation (https://www.bielcorp.com/ OTC: BIEL a developer of medical technology products, today releases an update from its Chairman, Richard Staelin, PhD.
Dear Shareholders,
It has been a while since I provided an update on BioElectronics Corporation's activities. Below are some of the most significant.
Current Medical (RecoveryRx) Sales
Although our RecoveryRx product is well accepted in professional practices that offer cash services or products, most medical offices deal strictly with items billable to insurance. Although we have tried to obtain insurance coverage for our medical devices, we have not been successful in the United States. This has led us to re-focus our efforts on channels where the product is paid for by the system and not the patient. Consequently, we recently contracted with a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) to bring RecoveryRx into the VA system, leading in part to getting an unsolicited testimonial from Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Major General Livingston which can be viewed here:

According to a post I found on LinkedIn looks like BIEL has checked all the boxes to be up to date on these new regulations.
Seems to me like a lot of stuff goes on behind the scenes that none of us know about.
IMO
This might be a good find looks like a distributor is on the packaging

Employee at BIEL….
I think anybody on this message board can answer what insurance coverage for a medical device would mean to the manufacturer.
Yup! Rather not say but you definitely can find it.
Unfortunately nothing seems to make sense.
I think shareholders deserve a little insight…
Straight from BIEL!
Interesting because our experience has been that since our non-invasive, drug-free pain relief device does NOT have an insurance code, doctors have no interest in using it despite clinical evidence and FDA clearances.
Hard to criticize anything when you don’t know what’s going on, but can’t put all your eggs in one basket .
83 days away from the start of the No Pain Act and zero excitement around BIEL as an investment opportunity. Looked great a few weeks ago.

WTF
Until BIEL speaks we will not know for sure what this will mean for BIELs product.
I’m cautiously trying to educate myself and sharing what I find .
Just found this…..
The Medicare Advantage medical policies are designed to provide guidance regarding the decision-making process for the
coverage or non-coverage of services or procedures in accordance with the member EOC and Centers of Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and manuals, along with general CMS rules and regulations. In the event of a conflict,
applicable CMS policy or EOC language will take precedence over the Medicare Advantage Medical Policy. In the absence of
a specific CMS coverage determination for a requested service, item or procedure, the health plan may apply CMS
regulations, as well as their Medical Policy Manual or other applicable utilization management vendor criteria developed with
an objective, evidence-based process using scientific evidence, current generally accepted standards of medical practice, and
authoritative clinical practice guidelines.
The NOPAIN Act will go into effect in January 2025 and will mandate that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services provide reimbursement for nonopioid drugs and devices at average sale price (ASP) plus 6% for patients on Medicare who undergo outpatient surgery at hospital outpatient departments or ambulatory surgery ...
A five star general thing so!
Act might alter Medicare prescribing by mandating coverage and expanding access to non-opioid treatments, promoting research, and facilitating educationSep 13, 2024
Actipatch on the list…
The NOPAIN Act Will Expand Access to Non-Opioids for Millions. The NOPAIN Act will ensure patients and their providers have greater choices in their pain management and support broader efforts to combat the deadly effects of the opioid epidemic in our country.
Insurance providers will have greater choices!!
The fact that it’s on the report tells me something….
It’s virtually the only one that’s a brand.
Disagree…..
Comprehensive Pain Management is a patient-centered and authoritative method acknowledging that pain is not merely a physical sensation but a complex experience involving our emotions, mind, and lifestyle.
Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is not commonly covered by health insurance, but some insurance companies do cover some CAM therapies
Like I said, it might be covered on be under behavior, which is fully covered .
If you keep reading other documents, I sent clearly states that CAM items can be covered.
I think this could be covered under behavioral .
I have a lot of thoughts we’ll see how they play out
Several previous posts in a row…
Food for thought what’s it all mean not 100% sure but Actipatch is on a list so somehow you need to get on it .
Happy reading!!
Opinions welcome!!

Will ActiPatch be one of the covered products?
