This is a very accurate analysis of Golden Leaf Holdings. Today Canopy Growth announced plans" to close two cultivation facilities and scrapped plans to open a greenhouse in Ontario. 17 months after the creation of the legal adult-use market, the Canadian Recreational Market has developed slower than anticipated creating working capital and profitability challenges across the industry." This conclusion was reached by the current Golden Leaf Management back in January when they announced the sale of the Canadian Operations. The change in plans to focus on the US market was a great decision by the current management team that made a very great decision to cut losses and move into a more viable marketplace. Also the decision to focus on product and not dispensaries, overhead, licenses and to change gears to market agreements for the distribution of its products is to be commended. Reading blogs by OD3 is an insult to the intelligence of every investor. Golden Leaf's management team has taken action for the benefit of the best interest of the company and not for their own personal interest!
One fact to note regarding yesterday's Dem Primary. Large turnout of woman and suburban voters. Even if Biden wins the nomination he still may not be able to beat Trump BUT the election would bring out a very strong voter turnout which would bode well for Dems to win both Houses of Congress. That would insure the legalization of cannabis in the US.
4th Qt out April 29th. Long time with little news
Just the opposite. Good time to buy in.
Just hard to understand your negativity. Recent moves by management are not BS and will show profitability but not until at least 1st Qt. Up to now many missteps but going forward I for one am optimistic regarding the new format of how Golden Leaf Holdings intends to do business. Today Aurora announced a 1 Billion Dollar loss for the 4th Qt. Aurora had acquired a few companies with high hopes but the focus was on cannabis weed production and dispensaries which is not the best way to go. Changing to a focus on developing new products and distributing those produces thru marketing agreements enables Golden Leaf to distribute to broader markets, less overhead and higher profit margins. Again the comparison to the drug companies that do not operate retail stores but only create and market products thru others is a game changer for Golden Leaf Holdings.
Latest January 2020 info shows current assets of $11,108,753 versus current liabilities of $3,222,447. 28 new products launched during 4th Qt 2019. New RXO products being introduced January - March 2020. New Acquisition of Tozmoz LLC and company with high profit margins. Jeff Yapp and team are making decisive moves that will result in 2020 profits. Selling off the Canadian operation was a bold move but will stop the losses that were attributed to the Canadian operations. Easy to complain and bellyache about the past but better to do something decisive and put the company on track to profitability. Even without 4th or 1st Qt Financials its nice to see action that will bring positive results. The lawsuit with BMF could also bring a large financial settlement to Golden Leaf.
Lie, Cheat and Steal? How pathetic! Never has anyone in management ever mislead any shareholder. Baseless BS. Recent info shows a great balance sheet and shows plenty of cash on hand. As I have said before an actual shareholder is not bellyaching about the path this company is taking. Only a failed former merger shareholder would creep and lie.
Any actual info you can provide? Eliminating losses and focusing on higher profit margins seems to me to be a great first step! Producing great products and creating a comprehensive marketing and distribution network is a complete change in direction from what most Cannabis companies have done in the past. No need for retail brick and mortar or paying for a sundry of state licenses. 4th Qt will not reflect the benefit of the late Dec sale of the Canadian operations or of the Tozmoz acquisition but 2020 financial will.
Not one major drug manufacturer owns a retail outlet for its products. That is not where the money is. Thankfully our management team understands this and has shifted our focus into engineering new products and developing distribution marketing agreements that puts our products into markets that we only supply product and not facility overhead. This is going to be the difference and makes Golden Leaf Holdings the next Billion Dollar Corporate Giant!
Regarding the acquisition of Tozmoz LLC, unlike the recent retirement of debentures by issuing common shares which were immediately dumped on the market which depressed our share value, the owners of Tozmoz LLC were already part of our production process and know full well the potential of Golden Leaf Holdings. The debenture holders did not want to own cannabis stock and sold quickly. In my opinion this may not be the case with the stock being used to complete the acquisition of Tozmoz. They understand the industry and know Golden Leaf Holdings share values are grossly undervalued and may be inclined to see how 2020 goes before selling shares. This acquisition consumed very little cash but will greatly add to our profit margin and when coupled with the elimination of our Canadian losses may put us into the Black by at worst 2nd Qt 2020.
Every action taken by our new management team has been geared to reach profitability for Golden Leaf. As much as I was at first not happy with our Canadian Operations being sold, it did not have the potential to make a profit and was one of the reasons we were loosing money. The focus on products and the marketing and distribution of those products is right on the mark. Just having dispensaries and grow facilities isn't enough. Creating distribution ventures with new and exciting products will create better profit returns. Acquiring Tozmoz LLC is a great move since they were operating with great profit margins. Again Gldff's Quick Ratio Current Assets vs Current Liabilities is excellent. Plenty of cash on hand and the actuality of reaching profitability perhaps 1st Qt 2020 but most likely 2nd Qt will take this company in the upward spiral. We have a management team that is not enriching themselves but rather actually doing what's best for Golden Leaf Holdings.
Some recent bold moves by the Golden Leaf. Current Assets to Current Liabilities is outstanding and with a nice amount of cash on hand. Doing an acquisition with very little cash outlay and in return getting a high profit margin operation is a great move by this management team. Everything is focused on developing products and markets for those products.
GLDFF could be a possible acquisition and that's not all bad. Seeing some interesting news here today with all the blogs. My only comment regarding bloggers who keep posting negative comments is that no actual shareholder would talk down their investment. Doesn't make any sense unless that blogger has already sold at a loss and is just belly-aching about a loss. GLDFF is so in the game and will be an interesting company to watch over the next 6 months
Golden Leaf Holdings is managed by a professional team that has the company's best interest at heart unlike the CEO of the failed merger partner we were able to dump. Golden Leaf now has greatly increased its liquid assets and if they recover money in a lawsuit settlement it only increases. Without the drag of the Canadian operations on earnings, hopefully a positive net income will be forthcoming very soon. As management has indicated we need to walk first before we can run. The current range of trading will change once we get financials info for 4th Qt 2019 and 1st Qt 2020. This is only an investment. It is not a critical part of my investment portfolio. I don't like the fact that the US marketplace has hanging over its head the fact that it is still illegal on the Federal Level. However with Illinois entering the mix and perhaps a few additional States wanting in, we may see some sight at the end of the tunnel.
Not true. Financials will not come out for a couple of months so nothing is going to change. Only recent filed lawsuit requires a look to see if any additional info has been posted. The upside here is good but not in the short term which is why I have not been checking up much at all. I have communicated with IR for more info on suits but they will not make any public comments at this time. Too bad you have no life that you can take the time to write about how many times I check in.
Very little volume trading hands.
I knew this much. I was looking for more info. I will email Golden Leaf to see if they can provide more info.
I would like to know what occurred with BMF that resulted in a lawsuit being brought by Golden Leaf Holdings.
Turning a profit will certainly be a real positive development. This company actually operates as a real going concern. Whether a merger will occur in the future or a R/S must happen is not a major issue at this point in time. Our management team is not using corporate assets to enrich themselves but are trying to put us in a better position financially. Sure glad we dumped the last merger and are not going down that sewer. I doubled up on my shares a few months ago so a R/S is not an issue for me and I still view this as a 12-24 month time frame for the stock to gain real value. Unfortunately the major issue is still the Federal classification of pot as illegal. Until we get financials that show positive profit positions I only check on the stock from time to time. Keep a positive outlook and I think we get a nice turnaround!
According to our CFO, Golden Leaf Holdings is focused on creating products and not grow operations. In Canada it cost more to grow cannabis then it was selling for on the open market. By liquidating in Canada they will be able to actually turn a profit. At first I was shocked at what transpired but it makes sense if the products ( oils, chews, CBD products ) make more revenue than an ounce of weed. Supplying products to existing dispensaries will increase gross revenue without the added cost of retail outlets and the licenses required to operate those outlets.

Always great info. I have a friend in New Jersey ( I moved from there a few years ago ) who has a light headed pot he smokes during the day and a different kind he smokes at night before he hit the sack. This info presents a very strong level of high that should sell very well. I would like more information from the company on Bald Peak and our Reno Nevada Grow facilities. Golden Leaf has assets not related to Chalice Farms and it would be nice to see what stage they have developed to.
After my initial shock over this sale especially since we were told the share price should start to regain some traction after the selloff by debenture holders, I understand some of why this may be ok. The major problem was the terrible rollout of the Cannabis Industry by the Canadian Government. Very few dispensaries were allocated causing buyers to continue to use their old Black Market sources and this created a glut of pot in the market.I do understand Golden Leaf needs to crawl then walk in order to 1st achieve an actual position of profitability. Once at this level and the threat of insolvency is eliminated, there can still be a future to be had. Even if cannabis is not declassified, if you are still profitable it keeps you in the game. I do not think that cannabis will be declassified any time soon but that in itself can be lived with until such time it does happen. I have asked management to give us up to date info on Bald Peak and the Reno operations so that we understand more about the progress Golden Leaf is making. This will have an affect on the share value. This was not the way I wanted to start off the New Year but we are still alive and kicking and hopefully have enough cash to get to the level of profitability!
Poor return on the sale of its assets. If they can turn a profit on the US operations ok but not sure why this was the way to go.
Happy New Year to all! Just a couple of reminders about Golden Leaf. 1- They are primarily a Canadian company and pot is legal in Canada. I have stated previously that Mitch McConnell is not about to pass any legislation that will help the cannabis industry and the recent failed attempt to include changes in the new funding bill are proof of this. US Cannabis companies are going to have a very difficult time surviving. 2- They are focused on Medical Marijuana and are fully licensed in Canada for this market. Medical Marijuana does not compete with Black Market pot. Hospitals and other treatment centers are not going to buy black market products because they will risk their licenses and it is not necessary. Golden Leaf has positioned most of its products for the medical use marketplace and are way ahead of the competition. 3-Golden Leaf was able to put off the debt for the Oregon dispensaries and I would not be surprised if they sell these dispensaries and service the Canadian and other world marketplaces instead. We have a very competent management team now and their expertise is in marketing and distribution. 4- We have a TV internet service which will market our products in ways dispensaries cannot. The more we service the Canadian and world markets the better our bottom line will become. The only US market to service are travel destinations like Las Vegas where visitors want to buy products and have a good vacation. Keep the faith!
I think Golden Leaf does raise capital by issuing new debentures. They have a solid business plan now and should make solid gains this coming 2020. This is the 1st professional management team ever for Golden Leaf. The Canadian Medical market will be a game changer. I do think that moving away from just smoking pot and into the edible and Tincture markets will help to separate Golden Leaf from the Black Market. Golden Leaf dodged a lot of unprofitable situations in the last 12 months.
Tough market to figure the proper direction for pot companies to travel. Golden Leaf is ahead on a few of the issues. 1- Having their Canadian full medical license 2- already producing edibles and tinctures especially now since Canada is ready finally with retail outlets. The article points out these products will increase profit margins for those companies that have these products. 3- expanding product sales in California with agreement with existing pot companies which eliminates the need to operate their own dispensaries 4- they have access to capital. Our management team have indicated we should be profitable in 2020 and should give us a strong position and staying power. This year weeds out those that didn't make good decisions and were relying on legalization to bail them out.
Edibles and Tinctures will make dispensaries obsolete.
Why have a dispensary to sell edibles and tinctures? All a consumer will need to do is go on Chalice TV, find out what's new in the market and place their order. All that will be needed will be a few product distribution centers from which Golden Leaf Holdings will deliver your purchase directly to your home. Only in a vacation destination will a dispensary have any real value since the consumer will need to use a dispensary to get the newest edibles or tincture product when not at home.
Our new management team has outstanding experience in product distribution. Whether it was just dumb luck or was meant to be, we have the right management team in place at the right time! The cost savings we will achieve by eliminating unnecessary dispensaries (licenses, rents, utilities, payroll, benefits, taxes etc) will be used to further promote our products world-wide.
I am not certain this is our business plan but I have a feeling that how the industry will operate is going to be more high-tech as opposed to brick and mortar!
Edibles and tinctures versus smoking or vaping weed. Cannabinoids in edibles are absorbed thru a gastrointestinal (G1) track. 1st thru the liver and then converted into 11 hydroxy- THC. This makes the THC 5-10 times more powerful as a psychoactive compound. The effects of injesting cannabis edibles can last much longer than other consumption methods. the combination of delayed onset time and potency can create a significant more powerful high.
Tinctures have a more rapid onset relative to edibles. Just a few drops under the tongue can be felt within 15 minutes. They are easily absorbed into the bloodstream. With tinctures no additional calories or sugars and zero toxic chemicals.
Why is this important? This is the real future of how THC will be used by the public. Smoking weed or vaping will not be needed. Street pot cannot compete with Golden Leaf Holdings because they do not produce edibles or tinctures. Also the medical use of THC will be totally dependent on edibles and tinctures. Golden Leaf Holdings is way ahead of most companies.
I was skeptical at first about Chalice TV but not anymore. Some of the programing includes " Infused Meals ", " Soil to Oil " and " Farm Pharm ". The direction away from vaping and into alternative consumption vehicles is underway and Golden Leaf Holdings is way ahead of the pack. Any glut of available weed will need to be converted into products Golden Leaf has already been distributing. 1st Qt. financials will be the proof that we are here for the long run.
The stock will stay low until the end of the year. The Debenture holders received shares and will sell as many as they can this year and take the tax write off. Golden Leaf just introduced New Elysium Field Tinctures. No need to vape to get the full effects of the THC. Black market sells weed and has to purchase and resell all other products. Golden Leaf has many alternative products which is going to help minimize the downside of any glut of regular weed available. Our new management team excels at product distribution into various markets. We have the right products in the right hands! We are also not strapped with multiple California Dispensaries that eats up capital and in the near future will get burdened with additional State taxes. All of these alternative products with fit in nicely with our Medical Marijuana division which received the Green Light from the Canadian Government in October to proceed with sales and distribution.
I had owned my own business for over 25 years and I was a Season Ticket Holder for the Devils and the Jets. I used to take clients to games all the time and I know that they would have been very offended if they were subjected to me trashing the team while they were with me! Trash talk is offensive and just turns off good people. Takes a lot more thought to find humor than talk trash!
If eliminating a $20 million debt obligation, if increasing revenue and decreasing operating cost resulting in improved profitability, if putting in place a great management team which includes an expertise in national marketing boy have we failed! These were giant steps that dealt with resolving important issues! We didn't hope for outside help or for laws to change. We are focused on the right products and the right markets. Sorry somehow you got screwed and spew garbage but Golden Leaf Holdings is on a great path and will be a great investment in the very near future. The information from 3rd Qt results were only one aspect of the progress Golden Leaf has accomplished in the last Qt.
Absolutely improving in creating increases in revenue and decreasing costs. As I have said before most of the downward pressure on the stock price was the former debenture holders selling to take the tax loss write-offs for 2019. They have sufficient cash for the short run and do expect to be cash positive 2nd half of 2020. I really liked the fact they are going to really focus on the national distribution of their CBD products. If they can reach profitability and maintain their management staff the share price will start to improve. They do have a banking line of credit unlike the US cannabis companies. Being a Canadian company will be a big help to make it into positive cash flow quarters.
Great info that shows just one more revenue stream on top of many others! Just like the California venture, very little cost because Golden Leaf is teaming up with existing companies that already have the facilities to sell to the public. Same model will be used in Canada for the sale of the CBD products. Low overhead and great profit margins! The main ingredient is having a great product to partner with!
Banking approval is a big factor for many of the US Cannabis companies but not so much for Golden Leaf. We have banking relations since fortunately we are a Canadian company. I am confident in the progress that Golden Leaf is doing and that 12-18 months time will see this stock as a tremendous investment. I like to respond to a- holes because they have an agenda and Golden Leaf likewise has an agenda. Fortunately there isn't one thing, except for the proposed merger mistake, that Golden Leaf has done that a real investor would find negative in the course of action taken over the last 12 months. You had mentioned the share price will improve once buying has started again which I think is a little off. I have purchase a lot of additional shares at the bottom which has greatly reduced by average share price. It is the selling by the debenture holders that just want to get money out of the sector that has the share price selling at such low #s. With all of the issued outstanding shares, relatively speaking only a very small percentage of shares have actually been selling over the decline. I too agree that the share price will climb but it will take still some time for that to happen but it is of little concern to me. Most penny stocks are not long term investment and are often shorted but the cannabis market is brand new and for a real investor it has to be a long term hold. Things will absolutely get much better probably 12 months from now!
To continue with last post. Golden Leaf just keeps on creating new revenue sources which is what a company is supposed to do. No hype just a continued focus on getting to a point of net profit. I may be wrong but the recent selling is the result of the settlement with the debenture holders and will continue until they have been finished off. IMHO 3rd Qt will be more progress and hopefully 4th Qt results in a positive net profit. The industry has had all kinds of poor results but Golden Leaf has remained steadfast with the assets it has put in place and continues to cultivate these assets and will see results very soon. It is a Canadian company so we have a lot of income that will be taxed fairly as opposed to the US market. I understand your concern and I too have seen a drop in my over all stock value but I have a lot more invested than you do and I had doubled up when the share price hit the .025- .04 range and got my average share cost down considerably. My time table says 12- 18 months to go and at that point Golden Leaf should be a tremendous stock to own. Current share value is immaterial to current operations!
Golden Leaf is probably not concerned with the share price and certainly doesn't create any false hype to sell it's value to investors. It just keeps on cre
Must be nice being out for awhile!
ROI has nothing to do with share price! The management at Golden Leaf are not making decisions based upon the share price. I just wish we had some intelligent conversations on this site but instead we get stupid BS.
