Thanks for turning my attention to the other site. plenty of food for thought.
Been here for a while. this stock is over bought. she aint an 8 billion dollar company .... yet. there will be a stock price correction soon.
long.
i looked around and all i can find is information about the MJ shortages. I cant find anything else. I dont live in Canada so, i have to go by the reports and stories that i read online.... and they are all saying that there is a shortage.
looks like some inside folks realized that >12 billion dollar market cap was premature and sold some of their shares to make money. good for them. i sold at $10.00 US .... made some money....and got back in.... a litte premature. Still long here.
We will all know factually when next earnings report comes out in February.
Vertical integration is a huge factor in future selling prices of cannabis products that Aurora produces. They are the producers, distributors and retailers in many outlets for their MJ products. I’m not worried about wholesale prices being really low in the near term. We will have to watch and see how the cannabis market plays out. I think we are good for a couple of years before wholesale pricing pressure becomes an issue.
We do need to see an exponential increase in revenues and a similar decreases in cost if share price is to move upward substantially. I hope so. ... looking forward to quarterly report in February.
What were revenues when Aurora was trading around $12.50 per share? Why was there a disconnect between revenues and market cap? Why is Aurora hanging out around 5 bucks per share now... nearly 5 billion dollar market cap? The last quarter revenues don’t support that valuation. Did Aurora produce and sale enough MJ for the quarter that ended in December ...to be reported in February... to justify its current cap? Why is Tesla trading above 300 dollars per share? Where are the revenues to justify there 57 billion dollar market cap?
The market is schizophrenic. People pay what they will pay for shares....maybe that will be $13 dollars per share.
When is revenue reporting day... around 6 more weeks or so from now. I am so looking forward to seeing how revenues look. Cam gave us a little clue during his last Midas Letter interview suggesting a strong report to come in February. There is no industry more exciting to be invested in than MJ/cannabis/hemp right now. Look how much Aurora has accomplished in the last 3 years. Imagine what they will do in the next 3 year!
I agree with your point .... but maybe for a different reason. Sure, many, many people can make quality vodka and they can make if for much less than you and i pay for it retail. We pay for the name "Grey Goose" et cetera. Brand recognition. Some Bubba down the street can and does make an equivalently good vodka (by taste, quality and safety) and sell it for a profit at a much lower price than we pay for the brand name. Why? branding...
AND money...many ppl along the supply chain make money selling the branded stuff including retailers. They all have a vested interest in selling it. Same will go for retailing weed products. So what that China can produce a lot of weed and maybe even good weed at a lower price. I am going to buy the stuff on the shelf. The producers of the products on the shelf have incentivized folks along the supply chain to sell the branded stuff that comes from the BIG named weed companies like Aurora.
AND let's not forget the pschology of pricing. AND - i assume as a consumer the crap that comes from China is full of pesticides.
Please keep us up-to-date on how this is going. As a medical professional, investor and marijuana advocate, I am very interested to know how this goes. I do believe that medical MJ is very effective in treating pain (I have first hand experience), but I don’t know how well previously addicted opioid patients will do with the transition away from opioids.
Marijuana DOES effectly treat pain! The problem is that once addicted to opioids, MJ may not eliminate the physical and psychological craving for opioids. If patients overwhelmingly move to MJ for pain relief then investors will do great!.... patients will find pain relief without the risk of overdosing! Opioids are very, very dangerous.
I have sent a message to investor relations to help me understand exactly how many outstanding shares there will be if the iAnthus/MPX Bioceuticals combination is approved (the board was unanimous when first announced).
Trying to get a grip on valuation here.
I looked over the agreement to combine the companies. 0.1673 shares of iAnthus stock for 1 MPXEF share based on closing prices on 10.17.18 which were:
iAnthus = $5.81 and MPXEF = $0.75 (price equivalent of $0.97 per share)
Closing prices on 12.28.18 were:
iAnthus = $3.99 and MPXEF= $0.63 (price equivalent of $0.67 per share)
iAnthus has about 77,160,000 shares outstanding and MPXEF has 384,880,000 shares outstanding (according to yahoo).
After the transaction will iAnthus have an additional 64,390,424 shares outstanding??
384,880,000 x 0.1673 = 64, 390,424.
Fantastic article. I look forward to seeing how this plays out over the near term.
I’m a share holder here too.... trying to find the truth. Lots of noise. Looking forward to next quarterly report- coming soon. Needs to be great.
So looking forward to Revenues in Feb 2019. Should be very good.
Started position today. 2019 and beyond looking good.
Took a position today. 2019 going to be the start of very good.
Can you imagine how his Christmas celebration with family and friends is going this year as I’m sure many of them are probably investors too....? Just a thought. I wonder how many times he has had to reassure ppl that everything is fine.
John .... now that the Farm bill has passed... do you think Aurora will get back into USA and do some hemp/CBD business?
The farm bill was signed into law. Now what? Can aurora sell hemp products in the USA? Is it time to buy Australis stock again ? Is that the door into USA or can Aurora go straight into USA? Does something else need to happen before ACB can move into USA market???
My heart is warmed and my brain more enlighten by your post.
The entire market is down.... but you know that already. Nothing will stop the Green Wave. There will be a lot of big winners in this new sector. Aurora will be one. Huge revenues coming. The ramp up has already begun. Ppl will be free to choose cannabis either recreationally or via prescription. Aurora is ubiquitous. How many countries? How many revenue streams? How many vertically integrated outlets? Too many, much and many! Long Aurora.
mr green. Looks like you don’t like Aurora. A sampling of your posts lead me to believe that to be true. If you own then sell.... otherwise, what are you doing here besides trying to manipulate? Are you trying to educate investors? I don’t think so.
How would you know that? The end of the quarter is December 2018 and then reporting in Feb 2019. It is going to a great quarter as suggested my Cam in latest Midas Letter interview. Holding long and strong!! I say hundreds of millions in revenue coming then potentially Billions in next several years.
The overall market is down. 3/4 of all stocks down. Despite the headwind, we are doing fairly well. Revenues are coming. 2019 and beyond will see increased stock price with less volatility. I’m riding this for the long term. My humble opinion of course. You decide for yourself.
Ontario says they are limiting retail stores to 25 for now. Not good in the short term for Choom.
From Choom website ”Choom currently has 90 offers to lease under negation with 20 leases secured in preparation for the application portal opening December 17, 2018. Choom is on track to having the maximum allowable of 75 applications in Ontario and is rapidly working towards the April 2019 deadline when Ontario’s private retail channels are expected to come online.”
Revenues will be hit hard by this in 2019.
Any news on possibility of moving quickly into USA or acquiring retail operations in USA?
I just opened the link to confirm..... it says 10 hours ago now.
...not surprising to hear.. bumpy rollout. can still buy online. in my area there are alcohol "dry" counties. The big winners will be cannabis stores in neighboring municipalities!!
What effect will farm bill have on Aurora?
WHERE IS THE LINE BY LINE REBUTTAL? I have a substantial investment in this company. I don’t like it when company insiders don’t do what they say they are going to do. Now lawsuits. I need to hear something soon. Really soon.
I'm long here. I am staying....riding the Green wave and expecting a turn around, bumpy ride, making money.
Check the latest financials regarding price Aurora sold dried cannabis for per gram. They also made some predictions for near future prices..... much better wholesale price than you mention.
What are you saying? Brand recognition. Aurora has vertically integrated structure that produces, distributes and retails Aurora product. So what if someone else con produce product to consume. If they can’t get it on the shelves or to market.... no go.
What makes you so sure?? The delay in refuting current claims is very unnerving. My guess is that some folks are in trouble.
Well, since I was slow to catch the short report on Aphria, I am still in with a very substantial unrealized loss in my investment here. It is very hard to work a job and stay current. What to do? Stay here and let my investment play out or get out ASAP since there was a nice bounce? But why the bounce?.... shorts covering... opportunity investors seeing intrinsic value.... why hasn’t there been a major company press release defending the company? Insiders lawyering up? What is the board doing now and what will they do? Perhaps some quick action will be taken and the company will be financially restored? Perhaps Aphria’s name can be restored? ... tarnished forever? Maybe the company gets purchased by another cannabis company? I don’t know. I just want to send my children to college and retire before I die.
ADDED more shares here....extended hours.
Aurora produces it, packages it, distributes it, retails it.... in many of their own stores .... Aurora is gonna win a very large chuck of the market share.
Revenues are ramping up very quickly!
This company is on my watch list. The market cap is nearly 1.3 billion dollars. THAT is pretty expensive in my humble opinion. Can someone convince me to purchase this company at current stock price. I just dont get it.
