...and there's a time when one should move on...
Hunchback, you're missing the point. While it is encouraging to read reports, that doesn't do me any good. I would have to continue to hold in hopes that any of this so-called good news, will materialize. I'm not interested in "holding on". I've been here a few years now, and no longer wish to stay the course. I'm ready to move on...you want to stay, good for you...by all means, lap up all and any shares you can. imo, PT Barnum said it best, hopefully you know the quote I'm referring to, and I do not see the light at the end of the tunnel which I'm willing to wait for.
Yup...just trying to average down enough to break even and then I'm out of here...the risk being...can I do it before this completely goes down the toilet.
Agree...still working on getting that average down before it's too late
Well said birdy. I sold when it was almost at it's all time high, but bought back in when it was too high...so for the moment, I'm at a 40% loss. Assuming this doesn't circle the drain anytime soon, I'm trying to average back down and will try your tactics...makes sense to me. I'm definitely not in it for the long haul, rather, to make money as quickly as possible. The cheerleading at these low levels is nuts, especially given where it's been. These low pps does help me from a cost standpoint, but I hope I don't get burned in the meantime...trying to recoup my paper losses this go around.
At the end of the day, all the "good news" articles don't mean squat. PPS however, speaks volumes.
I'm certainly not laying blame on anyone or anything...just that "time" is not really my ally at this stage.
Yeah...at this point, I really feel like I'm gambling with losing it all. If I had a dime for every time someone says this thing will rocket, well, I'd be a multi-gazillionaire by now. At least for me, 3 years is long enough...and at one time, it looked promising. That's not to say it won't again, but I don't have as many years as some might have...so there is no longer "long-term" for me. I'm looking for a "quicker" buck and move on. GLTA.
I'm right there with you Aarin. I'm trying to average down in hopes of either breaking even or minimizing a loss. In either case, the longer I stay in, the longer the gamble. I was fortunate that I sold when it was near it's all time high, but got back in and I'm currently taking a bath...a 54% paper loss for the moment. Not sure how long I'll stay in, but I've been here for years now and I no longer have the patience to stay much longer. The question will be, how long am I willing to wait. If this turns south of $1, that will be a painful lesson.
...been buying for a few years now, I do not need any more cheap shares. I've been ready for new all-time highs, cash in and move on.
Soaring sales don't mean much when your still down ~75% from your all-time high
Going to be a long time before we ever see all-time highs again...
I'm not in it for the long haul. I'm here to make a quick buck and move on. Simple enough?
This is ugly and I'm continuing to buy until I average down enough to put myself in position to punch out, if need be. The only thing that has saved me from being way down is I cashed a lot out when it was over $8. If it wasn't for that, I'd be really taking a bath...at least it's mostly a paper bath for the moment.
Could be some disappointing news after the market closes today.

When this stock gets back to it's all time highs in the $8 range, then, I'll gladly start singing it's praises.
I already average less than is currently offered...so there is virtually no way for me to average down...and I certainly do not care for it to go down further. I've been ready for the consistent uptick.
Yeah, I'll be happy once it reaches $8.44 again. Other than that, nothing to cheer about or be happy about...meh
ah onelove...you're the eternal optimist...
...that would be my take on this as well...
Ok Whisky Lady...we'll keep hope alive...LOL!
Fair enough
...llcoolm11...who's being naive? For the last 2.5 years, I've been listening to all the dribble about how this is going to take off. The blast off is "always" just around the corner. You want to stay longer, by all means, but I dumped 99% of mine and will just play the buy low, sell...well, whenever this gains any steam to reach 2 cents. That's all this stock is good for. I suspect that's why most of the cheerleaders are hardly posting anymore...tired of being let down by this company.
...with the following line in "BOLD RED" in that article: "Note: due to the specific nature of Medtainer stock, the prediction can be significantly excessive / unrealistic!"
Steph_ATK, it is my understanding the S-8 declared the authorization of 200,000,000 additional shares to the OS, and to be used as internal awards....fwiw, just what is needed...more dilution [sarcasm off now]
LOL Kutthroat!
...that's because it is evident that the only way to make money on this is to buy at these sub-penny levels, then sell when it rises above a penny. When I finally realized that, then life and albeit, small profits, weren't a bad a thing. I've been in this over 2 years and finally gave up on being long...have been enjoying this stock ever since. GL to those still holding long though. My patience and fun meter ran out.
...and what's your excuse when the sector is up, which it has been many times...and ACOL is stuck in the mud? No FUD here son, just telling it as I see it.
idk, taffynt. It certainly can be, and often is, a crap shoot with pennies. There is fatigue by many with this one because, there is "always" the next catalyst that's supposed to propel this stock into the stratosphere, and with the exception of that brief run to silver, ACOL continues to disappoint. "Wait til this happens or watch it run following California or Canada legalization etc."...same song, different day, more of the same. I know there are others that have been with this stock much longer, I hope it works out for them, I really do, but for me, I've run my course.
I think the "hope" has all but faded with this one for most. I held and sold a couple of times for small profits, hoping for the "big" spike, but, alas, after 2+ years, I'm just waiting for my jumping off point. To a degree, there is still a lot to like about this company, but for me, I gave it my shot and so it's time to move on. I can understand why some are still holding out, perhaps it's just to get close enough to break even, but if nothing else, this had potential, but just can't seem to deliver. Shorting seemed to be the best play all along. GLTA
Crazy...isn't it. After two years, sold for a profit and bought back in on the dip...gonna let this one ride for a while though...the volume is insane.
...does it really matter? The point being, whether there are other FDA and child proof containers out there or not, there is nothing "unique" that would drive the masses towards the medtainer. Perhaps one of the big boys buys them out and has the capital and manufacturing to produce them at a lower and more competitive price...
...but there are enough of the big boys that will pursue this...then where does that leave ACOL/Medtainer? Hopefully, someone buys them out perhaps? That's the best case scenario I see for their future...again, imo.
For the moment, that is true...but there is nothing unique to patent when it comes to "FDA Approved or Child Resistent". Just a matter of time before others jump in at a cheaper price imo.
More encouraging news for the industry...too bad it doesn't move the needle for ACOL...

Bubba, while anything is possible, OrganiGram is a really solid company and has been hanging there with some of the bigger boys. I think the board would push back on any takeover, unless of course, it's a deal they couldn't refuse, but imho, it would be a win for us shareholders no matter if you held or if they were bought out. I'm personally staying long and so far, it's been one of the better decisions I've made in the MJ world thus far.
Sorry John, didn't see your earlier post
