Quick, somebody call Yoshi and find out if the coffee is decaf at the new sales office!
Are you referring to Operations Manager David Kaland and Business Development Director Ali Saedi?
Furthermore, "So yes, we plan on doing a special version of Clipstream for high-quality movie applications."
There are many possibilities for new verticals as Steve as stated on more than one ocassion.
Another possibility: "Because we're relying on the desktop for the mass users, we are working on improving encoding speed by using the graphics card to assist with some of the array math calculations. But I wouldn't expect that improvement until late in the summer."
… Or it could be the Mac encoder — "That Mac encoder's been basically ready for about a month, but there's a small bug in the way the encoding logic is working, and we haven't wanted to take our core codec engineers off the new features in the Windows encoder. So once we do that launch next week we'll have the Windows guys back on trying to track down that bug. So I'm guessing that’ll probably be ready sometime in May."
If you go back and reread the second quarter conference call transcript you will see that Steve was very willing to answer the questions that were forwarded to him from interested parties on this board (I believe forwarded to Steve by DSNY2014). He addressed them all by my count, and addressed them thoroughly. You WON'T get this kind of — almost direct participation — almost anywhere else on Wall Street!
During the second quarter conference call on April 10 Steve said this: "A web-based encoder [for MPE] is currently in the late stages of development. We expect it will really increase usage."
Steve went on to say, "Our market research is showing us that there would be a large demand for a simpler web-based Play MPE tool that promotion staff can use directly without a lot of training. We believe this web-based encoder's going to increase usage with our existing major label customers."... because right now some of these staffers are using Drop Box for example in order to be able to send the tracks immediately themselves.
So this would be a further development of an existing product— one that is rather successful, currently dominating the market in Australia and doing quite well in Scandinavia and around the world too.
Also from the same conference call, "In terms of the market research guys, we have our initial layer of security for market research, but they’re anxiously awaiting our second security pack, which is due in May. We think this second level of security is going to rapidly expand usage in the market research vertical."
Might Steve have been referring to the second security pack for Clipstream Survey?
Some posters, myself included, have been concerned that maybe Steve is too much of a micromanager. When you read some of the posts on here, you can see that posters would also like to be micromanagers! Just because this company is small doesn't mean that two bit shareholders (and here I refer to myself mostly) should have any kind of large say in how the Board of Directors is compensated. IF it will be in shares rather than an additional $48,000 per Director, perfect — It indicates that they think shares gotten around $1 are likely to appreciate considerably.
We should be concerned with bigger issues perhaps. Like when is this position going to be filled?: "We are seeking an experienced business development executive to work collaboratively with the CEO and CFO to develop and execute on a ‘take-to-market’ marketing strategy." Apparently this position has not been filled yet. How many months since Destiny first posted that they were searching for this kind of executive?
Someone, I think it was Brooklyn, said comments made by Steve yesterday at the event seemed to indicate a change of focus away from prioritizing the goal of filling this position. Anybody else hear this?
Oh well, nothing head turning, chart moving, technology disrupting... this is a real estate investment for me too. It will go somewhere, probably up … eventually.
I think I'll e-mail Steve say, "Hey Steve on the Investor Hub DSNY board they're saying that you suck as far as presentations go. So why'd you continue to do them? Seriously, I suck sometimes at being tactful, so I'm not even going to try this time."
They're also saying that you are almost beyond stubborn.
Mirror, mirror on the wall...
We need to make some money here fella.
Soft bashing sums it up.
Let's see if Yoshi picks up a large number of options at twenty-five cents. If that comes to be the case then… he is just doing what is good for business – his business. Not ideal, but understandable.
Those that are of a negative opinion will always have a negative opinion, unless they get smacked in the head with absolutely great news, in which case they have to scramble to cover their shorts PROBABLY. When Steve buys a couple hundred thousand shares himself, that is pooh-poohed.
I'm getting antsy for some upside action. This sale is not going to bring in new money.
I watched them quickly so maybe I shouldn't even comment. The first one seemed of lower quality and I think I remember it freezing up for re-buffering once on full-screen. I didn't find anything wrong with the second one.
Maybe I'll take a few minutes and watch them both again.
It would be good to hear from other viewers too and tried to gauge how many people have slower connections than what Comcast offers here on the East Coast anyway.
Glad to see that Time Warner's offering you faster downloads. The Google rating system is a pretty clear-cut way for people to see a third-party evaluation of their ISP, and maybe change to one that has faster downloads.
using Comcast my download speed is 27 Mbps. Lucy video is flawless and seamless on full screen.
In related news from MAY 30, 2014, copying from the Netflix (NFLX) playbook, Google (GOOG) began putting pressure on ISPs on Thursday to provide better streaming of its YouTube videos.
The pressure came from a tool called Video Quality Report designed to measure stream quality on various ISPs, which Google has published in the form of ratings.
In addition to measuring the quality of the stream, the tool measures frequency of buffering, a phenomenon that creates interruptions in the viewing of a video. Netflix has a similar tool called its ISP Speed Index.

MIKE, how do you think this ongoing pressure on Time Warner and other ISPs will effect Clipstream usage?
That is all true, as far as I can see, jmo as always.
A true recommendation is better than a duplicitous one! For real.
What popped us this time? I heard tell it's another guru with entourage. But I do HOPE I'm wrong. Here's a case where I would love to be wrong...
So far, the movement is very reminiscent of a similar movement that popped the stock to $1.80 on January 19, 2013. We all know what happened to the stock price since that date...
and, looks all too familiar upon glancing at the six-month price chart. I certainly HOPE it won't be a repeat performance of that recent stock price/chart movement. Heaven forbid!
...but we're 'supposed' to believe those figures are BS, eh? I think the figures are quite indicative.
People closer to the company than you or I may have been shorting before! god only knows...
and, Gio is hanging around out of curiosity
In other words you covered your short position?
Did you find out about this stock through Louis B?
Gio,
if we can believe that shorts are more often correct then longs are, then we have no further to look than this list for a reason to be optimistic. Short interest is down 82%, and the next report should be out in a few days:

people willing to buy shares at $.80 diminishing each time we revisit these levels....
Where's the beef Steve?
Pussywillows blow in the wind!
excerpt from the article--
"In a recent frustrating online shopping experience, our VP of Marketing attempted to find a vacuum cleaner on Amazon using his iPad. Ready to spend upwards of $400, the product video he tried playing stopped him in his tracks when it wouldn’t open due to missing Flash plugins. This is a huge missed opportunity for Amazon.
So why aren’t all of Amazon’s videos using HTML5?"
This view favors our view that Clipstream is in the right place at the right time, doesn't it?
I have a few pennies in it.
haha! YOU'VE GOT A SENSE OF HUMOR I've noticed.
DECN is nearly down to 20 cents... are you confident in your investment there?
Are you implying that someone is a J.O. ? .. whatsup?
yea mac, the chart shows a gradual increase in volume and price-- nice forward indicators.
If I say Weeeeeeeeeeeee then I'm a daytrader ... and if I say Wooooooooooooooo I'm swing I guess
if I say Yah! or Yay! I'm a long cheerleader right?
I'm trying to piss up a rope here after DSNY maybe it'll pay off -- Shazam!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
not bad $3.03!
flurry of buying likely in last 30 min
right back to where you sold at ... Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
;)
I like it that you like to check your blood sugar levels even though you are not sweet on DSNY.
I like cashews but I don't like them when I get shorted.
Just keeping a presence here lest we forget the puppetmeisters contribution to "fair and balanced markets."
dead board and not at all lively stock. Fred must be very disappointed with 2014 so far.
I hope so too. I'm tired of seeing this thing drift downward. It would be nice if we could put in the triple bottom, technically.
If that 100,000 figure is accurate is the lowest it has been by far unless you go back more than 48 months!
You would think the bloodsuckers/manipulators have made their money by now wouldn't you? I hope they can move on to their next prey elsewhere.
What, we lost dsny14?
Anyone following dsny14 technical trading signals will not be maximizing his or her profit.
I bought back some shares I sold before at One dollar and change, for one dollar and change so it was a wash but I could have picked a bunch up under one dollar.
Maybe this third bounce will be the zinger!
A very true and good point. It has to be because he expects to reap a large profit on that purchase! We all hope his projection becomes reality.
Hope that we get higher highs and higher lows in the next sequence. Technical indicators are breaking down a little bit. Let's hope that is merely temporary.
Any third-party confirmation on Clipstream would be delightful, but that seems very hard to come by. DSNY14, could you ask Steve straight up, "hey, where's the third-party confirmation?" Not one web developer, not one ad company has made a comment or a twit anywhere?
sorry "Facts", my reply was meant for Giovanni.
Nice song. The lips are saying something different than what the singer wants us to hear... just like you I'd say.
