I bought over the years. I think my average is 0.65 CAD.
Nobody here has a 10% annualized return unless they bought before 2014. Unfortunately I bought my first tranche of shares in 2014. The chart has been pretty stagnant for the last 7 years.
I was lucky to unload half my shares when the price it 1 CAD earlier this year so I did make a small gain there.
I made the wrong choice by buying NioCorp shares. I would've made more money by lending them that cash LOL
Thats true. I guess its better that Mark is loaning the money since he can let the dates keep sliding.
Maybe I'm just bitter cause the 10% interest rate leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Its secured by the company's assets so there is collateral.
"is secured by the Company’s assets pursuant to a concurrently executed general security agreement"
Exactly. Why is NioCorp paying 10% interest to Mark when interest rates are so low?
I would vote for you lol
In all seriousness, I'm voting no for all management during the next AGM if financing is still not in place.
We can't blame management for our crappy stock picking lol. Its our choice to stay invested in dead money.
Is NioCorp eligible for an award like that?
Thanks Grunt
Agreed.
It seems like every time we get an update, things are moving backwards and we're further from the finish line.
Thats not true. You can trade any stock on Robinhood
I asked Jim about the 100 million.
Could you provide more information about the 100 million dollar amount that Mark mentions at 1:03:30? If I understand correctly, it means this entity has spent 100 million on trying to obtain financing from NioCorp?
No. The fund being created is designed to fund multiple projects.
Jim
Good thing Mark and team has made this an environmentally friendly project that has bipartisan support.
Cancelling the keystone project actually helps NioCorp and the renewable energy future if you think about.
Stage 3 is not guaranteed. If it was, this stock would be much higher right now. Inconvenient truth.
Yeah it doesn't mean much. Same as the term "competitive tension" we heard 3 years ago.
The only thing that matters now is financing. Enough excuses.
This company is also looking for financing. They're total capital cost is only 85 million! Not a bad pick but I know nothing about the graphite demand.
At least there is a graphite market out there. I wish we could say the same for Scandium (please Mark say something. End the pain)
Landmark, you bought NioCorp at quite low pps right? Somewhere in the range from 0.10-0.20?
You've already made quite a profit here. Why not roll some of profit to these junior miners that have some growth.
We've waited years for NioCorp to do something and we shouldn't be emotionally connected here. Do what makes you money.
Yes, Jim uploaded it after I requested the recording.
Thanks. I'm going to send Jim a question about this 100 million amount. Its still unclear to me what that money is being used for and how it relates to NioCorp.
The reason I don't think 100 million is being spent specifically for NioCorp is because Mark mentioned it during the Q&A session. If it was important, he would have mentioned it during the financing portion of the presentation and/or in a new release.
I agree Putz.
I have the same feelings which has resulted in me reducing my exposure and decreasing my holdings here. Luckily I was able to do that closer to 1 CAD.
It was a hard choice to make after holding for years but I think the right move since the money I've moved out of this has allowed me to have gains in other stocks.
I don't believe the project is not financeable. I've seen some shitty projects get financed so it really makes me question whats taking so long here.
I think management may be looking for a package with majority debt but I say screw it. Lets just get this thing financed with dilution. We'll still make money and not sit around for another 3 years.
No significant shareholder has left this investment.
Watching our shareprice stay the same for the last 6 years could lead a person to believe this isn't a good investment LOL
Hopefully at some point the loyal shareholders are rewarded. They deserve it.
Thanks. I'll email Jim and see if they have a recording available.
Does anyone know where I can find the recording of this meeting?
Where did the company say we have a financing partner that has spent 100 million? That seems like material news and would be in the company reports.
I do recall that Mark made an off-hand comment about the company spending 100 million so far on project but it had nothing to do with financing.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I respect your opinion and knowledge Walter but what exactly do we own here?
The company has done everything to make this an attractive project to get financed and yet after 3+ years, there isn't any financing. We've given Mark and management the benefit of the doubt for a long time but we don't have anything to show for it. That's the reality.
Sorry for venting my frustration. Hopefully I can unload the remaining shares at a reasonable price and not have to worry about this stock anymore.
I agree that its somewhat reassuring that Mark is the biggest shareholder.
But I disagree that we have several financing options. They mentioned competitive tension 2 years ago - I assume that deal fell through.
At some point, a deal must be made even if its not attractive because years are passing, literally. Investors will lose confidence as some have already.
I would accept anything over 1 CAD for a buyout.
This project economically feasible (or so we've been told). Its been 3+ years of looking for financing, there's absolutely no excuse anymore.
Its clear that this project is not attractive enough for investors. I've seen other mines get financed - why is it that they are able to attract money but NioCorp can't?
Think objectively about this investment. I don't want to hear how management are good people because I'm sure that's true but they've failed to deliver if you look at the stock price.
Lets not go with the "quiet period" speculation again. We're just setting ourselves up for disappointment.
I hope financing happens soon but I'm definitely not holding my breath. I wouldn't be surprised if another year passes without anything substantial happening. Those deadlines are easily extendable.
I jinxed it lol
Hoping to get back closer to 1 CAD to unload the remaining shares and keep a few as a lottery ticket.
If this gets to 1 CAD again, I'm selling the rest of my shares LOL
Please let the buying continue
The financing debate has been exhausting but what else are we suppose to talk about after all these years lol
I agree with your assessment and hopefully it's one of the positive things holding back the financing.
I wish everyone the best outcome with this investment and hope management can pull through soon.
I think that would be very helpful and reassuring for the shareholders.
I wish I could time the market to do that. I would be making way more money off of this stock that way LOL
I agree that things take a long time and its good to be patient if you believe in this investment.
I think the shareholders have been reasonably patient over the years, especially with the expectations that management have set.
"You know this investment is life changing/profitable" - this is only true if the mine is financed. Lets not forget this is a junior miner and there is some risk attached.
I don't plan on selling all my shares but reducing it to a level I'm more comfortable with. I still believe in this project and could be a great opportunity but the risk of non-financing is starting to show itself.
Well said Stark.
This isn't an attack on management or the project but as shareholders, we deserve some answers on why certain expectations haven't been met.
I don't care for those who say they're happy with the increase in the shares over the past year. There are some shareholders that have been holding for 6-7 years with not much to show for it.
This isn't a question to send to Jim. The company needs to publicly address the shareholders.
For those that'll tell me to sell if I'm not happy, I've been doing just that.
When did you buy Apple?
I see. You're going off of when you bought each stock.
If you look at the charts, Apple has easily outperformed NioCorp over the years.
