ERHC is a company that promises nothing and delivers every time. I have no expectations of the shm, however I take great satisfaction in the fact that drilling is closer than ever. Throwing a bone to Degenerate gambler and quoting Mick, "Ti-i-i-ime is on my side, yes it is."
I was just thinking the same thing! Recall those articles from the PSC award days.
I haven't received anything in the mail yet re: proxy. However, I printed out the proxy (page 26)and faxed in to the # listed in the SEC filing. Here's a link...

I printed the proxy from the link and faxed to the company collecting them.
LOL!
OT: That's the one. I told my wife I wanted to live there. It's rally a neat building! He's got the best job; drives the big truck.
OT: For non-Texans, "retired" is pronounced "retard" and 7-11's are called "seblebums" ;)
OT: He drives up to work from Clifton,TX. Works at a very fancy firestation. New, but designed like the old-fashioned ones.
OT: RE: McKinney... My brother-in-law is on the fire department over there...
Decatur, TX here...
The minnow'd run like a scalded dog if that happened!
Thanks, I hear that all the time. EM
Check out BB's posts and NH's for a some good stuff.
Indeed. Smart people make mistakes all the time, look at Mr. Spitzer...
Highly doubtful that DK would go off the record with a shareholder (especially one of us). If the stuff on the board was an oversight of his, then he's definitely gonna say it was fluff. What else would he say, "oh yeah, those are the elements of this big deal we're doin'..." Face it, spin and damage control is his profession. Covering people's arses is his specialty. I do work similar to Dan for a big outfit,I suspect his puckered rear was covering itself in that reply to Ruby1100. Been there, done that!
I won't argue that the meeting wasn't staged. Sure it was, sheesh any meeting with a photographer is staged. However, I suspect that the people present never thought to erase the stuff on the board and it ended up here by accident JMO
bsk, good morning! I agree on option #1 being preferable to Offor. Just like in the movies, he shows up at the shareholder meeting with a briefcase full of cash and scoops up the company for what appears to be a good deal at the moment for us long-suffering shareholders. $2+ will go a long way toward salving my pain! J
Nothing to see here people, just sell your shares and move along please... LOL
The Renaissance charges a fortune no matter what time of day you plan a mtg for. If they were really interested in austerity, they'd have the meeting at the VFW Hall and grill hot dogs. Hope to see some grilled mgmt at the Renaissance!
The 3pm start time seems odd.
Kinda late in the day, almost makes it not worth going if you want to beat the Houston rush hour traffic. Or get to the airport on time for an evening flight. Hmmmmmmm.
OR, they can announce a multi-dollar buyout and everyone heads to the bar!
OR, perhaps they're timing the meeting for after the bell 3pm CST.
Who knows. These guys are sly as foxes or, to reference an earlier post of mine, dumber 'n a bag 'a hammers.
At any rate the vague proxy makes voting several hundred thousand shares interersting to say the least! Hard not to be infatuated with the drama and possibility of it all.
The article about Chinese businesspeople visiting STP piqued my interest as well. Intuition says that there is much more to that event than meets the eye.
I had forgotten that Ledbetter's options expire this December. Shake a leg Jimmy!
Richkan- tapping into your professional background, is a "shareholders as of XXX date" a month or more way from a shareholders' mtg a regulatory or tactical move? What effect, if any does it have? Thanks! Jdubs
picture we're yellow they hit the blue????
Whenever there is a published date looming for an ERHE event the "no drilling for at least a year or more" chorus starts. em
As in "which country invented fireworks?"
"Chevron Confirms Development of Nigeria Deepwater Field" This came out today. Check CVX investor relations website.
Me likey too. Maybe the real reason for having a booth was to send our guys over to ink a deal in which ERHC is part of such a syndicate, then we'd have something worth having a shareholder meeting I suppose...
Curious if that would be a legal way to circumvent the US investigations and be an easier sell to a BOD. Intuitively I tend to believe ERHC shares would see a nice halo effect on the pps.
A hypothetical question: If Chrome were to become majority shareholder of ERHC and XOM were to buy Chrome what would the implications be?
I'm not sure that a $.30 pps would even buy a round of Boone's Farm or even some Fred Sanford "Champipple" for this crew!
I'm of the opinion that leadership of this company, although IMO dumber than a bag of hammers, is not stupid enough to pay for a booth at a convention with nothing to talk about. I choose to believe that there is a chance (albeit small based on past behaviors) that the Feb conference may provide a peek under the tent for once.
LOL! Naw, season ended last weekend. I'm workin on an Elk tag for 2008. As for ERHE, I like your scenario and I also wonder where Anadarko and SNP figure into our near future.
BB, most interesting discussion in a good while IMO. Thanks for putting your thoughts out there.
Off-topic: Bobwill, Santa left a very nice Ruger M77 Hawkeye 270 under my tree. My first rifle to call my own. Going to Cabelas in the morning to get it bore-sighted then off to the Panhandle to sight it in and get me another buck!
23rd here. Nice to know I'll be back in black well before Ledbetter makes a dime. Agree with you about the shareholder meeting. There better be some meat on the bone, otherwise Akin-Gump will have more work on their hands.
LBM1 good to see you're still here! Happy Holidays!
Clifton, Texas. My mother in law was impressed at the white tailed buck I got. Coloring a little different than the one's she's killed up in the Panhandle. Thanks for the message! J
Know it's OT, but gotta share. I shot my first deer tonight at my father-in-law's ranch in Texas Hill Country. 9pt buck. I'll get a pic up when I get home this week so you hunters can check it out. What a rush! Used a Winchester 270. JDubs
The IHUB ERHE board today... Enjoy...
