Hey Game7, and Welcome to the board. Now granted I know nothing about LTHU other than what the chart is telling me so I will give you a brief explanation as to my trading style since you are new.
For the most part, I don't even look at the company until I look at the chart, If the chart is in an uptrend than I will dig a lil further into the company, and if it's not I will not consider any further time devoted to it.
Now for LTHU, had I run across this with one of my scans, I would have just kept moving on after looking at the chart. The chart right now is in a very weak condition, I see .09 happening much more easily than .15, which is a strong resistance level. I have annotated a chart for you that will explain my reasoning.
DocS stated he thinks .09 cent rise will happen, the charts say the opposite. The chart is starting a fresh down trend on the daily time frame, the weekly and mothly time frames are also weakening, so I would expect, a lower pps is much more likely than a higher pps. On this site, we try to find stocks that are trending up, this reduces the chances of a loss greatly.
Heres the chart, and if there is anything you dont understand, please feel free to ask.
BTW...I enjoy your post on gtem, I rarely post, but always read. I have alot of personal friends on this site, so I don't take this place lightly, or my recommendations, But if you read some post here you will see that I have been touting EGMI here. I have spent many hours of DD on this company, and many of my friends have gotten into it. I want my friends to stay friends, so I am very comfortable recommending EGMI as a replacement for LTHU to you. And DocS, the same thing goes for you. I just wish GTEM would have turned out better, alot of good people lost money they shouldn't have.
Hey Design,
Just wanted to let you know my board is active again, And you really might want to look at EGMI, I highly recommend it.
Hey guys, Kinda forgot about this board, just wanted to say Hi and drop a ticker for you...EGMI, we follow it pretty closely at my board.
It's going to get boring when gtem is gone.
DocS....
I agree 100% with your post, except for the lthu part, which I would like to discuss with you on my board since we cant do it here. The link is in my signature.
As for Monday, it's going to be another very ugly day for GTEM, the people that did not hear about this yesterday, surely will be selling, and once all the shorts are covered, the price will drop like a rock. I just can't fathom how anybody could seriously consider buying more shares of this stock.
Transat....
I've probably opened my mouth too much tonight, might need ur help! I'll explain privately.
GTEM, has been the perfect lesson as to why no one should fall in love with a stock, unfortunatey, most didn't listen... but I think you did!
And thanks for your explaination as to why! I just might use this post at a future time, and yours of course!
It is very obvious...
That Joe and Vern, still have very active sources inside gtem. Yesterday Joe brought up the wells notice, today we find out about a WN, today both Joe and Vern hint at the worse is yet to come. My guess the 2 bod members did get those individual, WNs also.
And there are people out there still dismissing them, I really dont know what to say, it's just dumbfounding.
Didn't you people read the WN, I'm talking to the ones that are still buying and pumping. I think the reason the SEC did not halt on this news was to at least let people get out and or cover, before they shut it down, SEC is being nice and giving everybody a shot, so why are people still buying, once the last of the 4 million shorts cover, there will be NOTHING to hold the price up.
Head their warnings!
Now it's time to start enjoying the weekend.
I'd have to say its shorts that are covering before trading is halted, there are millions of shorted shares out there, kinda a short squeeze, for the wrong reason.
Are you watching gtem this am? Not good.
Wow EGMI, This damn stock just wont stop....
Peace G.
Shopgirl, as for LSTR, I refer you to what Deadb4 whatever, said, he pretty much hit it on the head. Oh that was b440 said.
Shopgirl, not exactly sure what you are trying to hint at with this post? But are you saying the strat has been gone since november last year?
With the recent events, I really tend to believe you, so that means Sands recent accusations are completely bogus. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Personally I feel Murch left along time ago, your post pretty much confirms that. Are we on the same page?
Villas I realize you could have waited a bit longer, but my honest feelings from all my DD, say's you made the right decision, just listen when it comes time to sell!
Always remember GTEM!
Can't really argue with that, EGMI, Hasn't even released a pr yet, what will happen when they do?
I thought I was a bit optimistic thinking it would hit $1.00 by the end of the year, Now, I think that maybe a bit, well, un-optomistic!
Can you say "Hold", till the trend changes?
Yes I got ur mail! ;-p
Hey guys, and shopgirl, sorry I havn't been around much, but I've got a major project going on and I just haven't had time to be here, hopefully tomorrow night will be better.
Soulaw, Nice chart The weekly does look good, and actually the monthly is showing very possible signs of turning around so I wouldn't be to concerned about it at this point. Remember the daily and the weekly need to turn the monthly around.
BTW post whatever you want here, scans are great, I'll post my scan parameters also.
About Roth Capital...
Read about Roth on the bottom and go to thier website, I would say Big time!
http://www.rothcp.com/files/ForbesStarmine2006SurveyFNLMay307.pdf
Jim the daily looks very nice, The weekly is way overextended, which indicates a likly pull back soon.
Will, got involved with technical difficulties, completely forgot about getting you a chart, honestly, I have fried my brain tonight so I dont feel like doing it now, so I will give you a basic chart tommorow with hopes that the old fashioned way will help. I'm kinda pooped right now so it's off for some much needed beauty sleep, Peace out!
So True So True.. again thanks for your help!
LOL, well so much for voice chat! for now, I bought a new computer and monitor recently, my old computer had a mic in the monitor, new monitor doesnt, really never gave it a second thought! So it looks like Im going to have to go shopping this weekend for a microphone. Ohhh well, live and learn, but we can still IM each other at yahoo in the mean time, God I am soo not a woman, I hate shopping! LOL
Thanks Villas for the help.
Damn Will, now I remember why I graduated you...Nice find.
I'll start off with the negative, which isn't much, the monthly chart is showing resistance @ $82.77 (Provided by the 10 mma), and the MacD on the daily chart is a bit over extended when compared to the 20dma, but It's not a major concern at this point.
The good points are: Monthly chart is trading over the 20 mma, granted this month is new so we wont get a true value till the last week or so. The weekly chart looks fabulous! Fresh cross of 5wma over 10 wma, going by the weekly alone, Along with a fresh cross of MacD which is confirmation,I can see a possible target of between $100.00 and $105.00 (Next resistance level) But hell a $20 positive trade, I'm game!
The daily is suggesting that a small pullback is in order, but like I said before, so what! I think you found a good one here, a bit pricey, but it should make some good money!
Ohh and also, all four money flow indicators are in new or continued upwards trends, money is still flowing in, thats a great sign!
Be right back...gonna look at it now, and btw thanks to those that have invited me as friends on yahoo messenger, I have enjoyed the chats!
Where is everybody, Im ready to chat, and no ones here?
Am I that boring? ;.(
Ok just set up Yahoo messenger, for IM and voice chat, my name is Wizetradr (no 2nd e) If anyone wants to add me to there address book go ahead.
I'm sitting here tring to figure out the best way to explain this money flow thing to Will without making a chart that will be extremely compex. I started thinking this would much easier to show to somebdy, than I thought well hey, how bout a webcast, no you idiot you don't have a webcam, so next best thing, voice chat... That might work.
Anybody interested in starting up some voice chats?
Shopgirl,
From what I've seen "momo" plays are just playing a large volumn spike usually generated by a blockbuster pr. It's really just a stupid word for chasing a stock. I guess people use it cause they think it makes them sound smart or something, dont really know.
Hey will I'll post a chart up a lil later showing you what I am looking at.
EGMI News this morning...
Also check thier home page for a cool little video pressentation.
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/071003/clw004.html?.v=101
BUZZZZZZZZZZZ! Wrong! LOL
So far, I honestly don't like OBV, OK I wont leave you hanging, Chaikin Oscillator seems to work the best so far, but I've only checked it on a couple stocks, thats why I need ur help to check different ones. The weekly time frame so far seems to work the best, but you still gotta rely on the monthly for the overall trend.
Keep workin there is no time limit on this assignment. We are smart people we will come up with sumthin.
Soulaw, Obviously I'm not to bright either, That analogy sucks, guess I need to come up with another one. Thanks for posting it though. Hell I din't even understand it! lol
Soulaw, I'm assuming you read my post about the 200 pound man. If you did can you tell me if it made sense and if you understood it? I've been trying along time to come up with an analogy to explain the differance in time frames and the underlying trend. Do you think that gets the point across or not? Please be honest, if it didnt help.
Man have I learned alot tonight, Its all ur Damn fault Will! lol.
I always kinda blew off the moneyflow thing, but thanks to you I had to research it further, can you say "Epiphany" I hope so cause I sure as hell don't know how to spell it!
I have a request of you and Villas, Can you guys help me figure out which one works best with each time frame so we can nail it down and form a consensus.
I'm using, in addition to CMF, OBV, Chaikin oscillator, and acc/dist on my chart. Just go to annotate and draw a verticle line move it around to the peaks and valleys of all four indicators and see what happens as compared to pps. From what Ive done alreay Im impressed with one of them, but I aint gonna tell ya which one till I hear from you guys.
BTW... Help on this would be appreciated from anyone on this, could bennefit all of us, so lets brainstorm and see what we come up with!
Consider this a Homework assignment for everyone! Don't worry I don't grade that hard! lol Lets have fun and learn at the same time! Ohhh and make a lil money in the process.
Money Flow,
The flow of money into and out of a stock is about the closest thing to a crystal ball that can be had.
Money flow can give you an advanced idea as to what the big boys are doing. The very basic concept of money flow is the differance between the amount of shares being bought as compared to the amount of shares being sold in a company. This can also give you a "Headsup" when it comes to a change in trend, or even in some instances, alert you to a forthcomming selloff.
The price per share by itself can sometimes be deceptive. For instance, The pps may be up on any given day yet the actual shares sold were more than were bought, this indicates money floweed out of the company, a battle between retail and institutions. Usually the institutions win! Small outflows are no big deal, but a drastic change in money flow can be a huge warning sign.
There are basically, four different indicators that track money flow.
OBV- On ballance volume
Accumulattion/ distribution
Chaikin oscillator
CMF- Chaikin money flow
I'm not going to explain each one independantly, because stockcharts school can do it much better than I can. I will provide the links, I would suggest everyone read these carefully and understand them. On my charts I am going to add OBV and Oscillator, to try to find out which one works best out of the money flow indicators.
OBV (The original money flow indicator)

Acc/Dist Line

Chaikin Oscillator

CMF-Chaikin Money Flow

Please pay attention to the posive and negative divergences.
Will I completely agree, and since you brought CMF up I think I should explain it so we are all on the same page. Its going to take a lil bit, but I will be here in the meantime.
BTW, does anybody know of a site that will show actual buys versus sells? Scottrade only show the volume for trades that closed higher or lower but not the ones in between.
Villas,
Here is a 60 min chart (delayed) You might wait to see what happens here first.
The higher the float, the more shares it takes to be traded to move the pps up and visa versa.
Thats why its good to find stocks with lower floats, the pps moves happen quicker.
At least thats the way I understand it, anyone else please jump in on this one.
Shopgirl,
For daytrading I use a live 1 minute chart and watch 5/10/20 crosses, you can not use a delayed chart, it will not work.
Swingtrading is basically using the daily and weekly charts, but you still want the monthly to be in an uptrend.
Channel trading, I don't recommend, it's much safer to trade in a defined trend.
Soul,
Just to add to what villas said. The macd, is crossing negative, it's a very good reason for concern, I woulkd agree that this trend is slowing, so its time to get out and let the trend redevelop either up or down. The exit is where you make or loose money, you never loose taking a profit.
The daily chart is weak and the monthly is showing a decent pullback is in order.
Good Call.
Profit taking.
Again not trying to turn this into the EGMI board, but you guys gotta listen to this...
http://www.wsw.com/webcast/roth13/egmi/
I have changed my tune, I am no longer going to try to swing trade this as it goes, all holdings are just going to sit there!
