I am told that a rumour floating around ANY offices has EK replaced in an effort to upgrade the competency and ethics of the executive team.
It seems the preferred candidate is Scott Pruitt.
And charging EK, Bookman and the former CFO all Americans would be a no brainer.
Though Tassy, Morelli, Shelly and others are Canadian they can still be held accountable and charged, both in civil and criminal courts in the US.

There is a new company in Toronto called Globe NexT that will completely transform the market for light trucks. What we will be delivering will completely change the market. These new light trucks will deliver 1,000 MPG, tow 10 times the load of typical light trucks today, and most importantly, will be driverless using embedded Artificial Intelligence to navigate.
GM has agreed to sell the trucks through its dealerships and we have signed a partner agreement to build these new trucks on top of the GM Sierra.
This will kill Ford F-150 sales.

When you say "SI lost his shirt", I have to question: did he? He bought ANY through two mechanisms: his personal account and his company, Pinetree Capital. Did he use Pinetree to boost share prices while selling fro his personal holdings?

I am happy to compromise on the language, but not on the fact that Glassware never was shown to work or perform any function. Period. None. Zip. Nada. Zilch.
Sorry, but I cannot be any clearer than that. Could "Glassware" deliver a DEC 8 bit emulator (the famous mainframe virtualization video demo shown at trade shows)? Sure. Was it actually delivering an IBM mainframe as claimed? No.
Could I run a standard DEC emulator on Microsoft Windows Server? Absolutely. And you can find multiple Dec emulators for free on the internet using a simple Google search. Now, find me a customer that still runs software for a DEC computer built in 1965.
Could it deliver a Windows app? Sure. Once again, that is the primary function of Microsoft Windows Server. Funny though, it could only do it with lots of professional services work from Sphere and could not deliver Win 7, 8 or 10. Thankfully, no one uses those apps in enterprise or government, right?
Win Server technology is the underpinning of the product called "Glassware". And Sphere never ONCE demonstrated that Glassware could deliver anything beyond the capabilities of Win Server.
It was ALL hype. And even the claims Sphere did make had Grand Canyon sized gaps. Morelli admitted during the famous Microsoft video event that Glassware had no print capabilities. NO PRINT CAPABILITIES?!? WTF?? To print, a user had to access a Microsoft Sharepoint system. Well, that's a huge expense to cover a core function that Microsoft offered with Win Server in 1996. Yes, 1996!!
I remind you of what PT said in Feb 2014; "we are tired of development, now is the time to sell, sell, sell". Maybe he meant shares in his company to foolish, naive and/or greedy investors? Because the product was years from being a commercially viable product. Just ask Corel. (What did happen to those 10,000 successful test users I wonder)
And I'm sorry, but calling it a "microvisor" just makes me laugh. They plagiarized the term from Simon Crosby and Bromium to differentiate from VMware's popular hypervisor. Obviously, if a hypervisor could make VMware billions, how much more could a smaller, lighter more efficient micro visor be worth to Sphere and its investors?
To be more specific, the original Sphere team had no IT industry experience. As a matter of fact, the "story" pitched for Sphere was lifted verbatim from another "stock promotion" that PT took to market. And that which failed too. EK had led Overland to 8 years of consecutive quarterly losses.
Enough said.
Glassware was a figment of someone's imagination. It was never a real product, even before PT got involved. There is evidence the end user component was IP taken from another vendor. The backend required Microsoft Server to function. There is ZERO chance that that technology would be successful in the market. I said that in 2014.
And was 100% correct.
If investors had taken five minutes to read the SEC warnings about Pump and Dump schemes they could have saved themselves millions of losses.
Why is anyone surprised or shocked that this scheme failed? It satisfied every single criteria that the SEC publishes for recognizing a Pump and Dump scheme. Every single one, and then some.
Mangement had a history of running stock market "promotions". They had ZERO IT industry experience. They made outrageous claims without a scintilla of proof. The lied openly to the market, and made false and misleading statements on their financial reports and regulatory filings (anyone remember the successful 10,000 user Corel test that EK claimed Sphere had completed......three months before they started a test?).
And sadly, real people lost real money and got hurt badly.
Spin off Overland from Sphere? Thats too damn funny.

This scam took about $550 million out of investors hands
Justfactsmam, as I recall, while you were getting told "cant sell yet", PT and EK were telling people "chaos of success' and "Glassware is booming on Microsoft Azure".
I would also remind everyone of what PT said on Feb 4, 20154 : "we are tired of development, now is the time to sell, sell, sell". Wonder how PT planned to do that when he knew they had no saleable product?
I would love to see some Product Roadmap docs from anyone on the inside at the time. I would wager that PT knew there was no possible sales yet told investors the exact opposite.
I also wonder how they managed to book and report quarterly results with almost $1 million in revenue prior to the merger with Overland? Of course, the fact that they has those sales on the books as Accounts Receivable beyond 180 days (so much for following FASB rules for Revenue Recognition) and ultimately took them off the books when the merger took place. Does anyone believe that those were legitimate sales and not some backdoor agreement between Kelly (Overland CEO and Sphere Chairman ) and PT, at the time CEO of Sphere. For a laugh, check what happened to the share price during those periods for an idea what was really going on with those sales.

If anyone had taken two minutes to look at the tech writer's web site, they would have seen that his opinions could be purchased. 100% coin operated.

The stock is now trading at less than 90 cents. I wonder if any of the senior executives would care to hold a shareholder con call to explain why the price has dropped from $10 plus to less than $cents a share (before reverse split).
Perhaps the former CEO can explain why in 2014 he said "we are tired of development, now is the time to sell" when the product was still a fiction? Perhaps he can explain what happened to all the big partner deals? Perhaps he can explain what happened to the 30,000 users at CCPS and the 10,000 users at New Caney?
Perhaps he can explain how he said the Glassware solution could deliver Apple apps, and IBM mainframe data and apps to the cloud, and how it could deliver embedded Windows in ATMs?
There's more but you get the point. Fact is today, I imagine his house has more value than the company. I'm sure that the retail shareholders that were wiped out find that comforting.

I think we must have misunderstood that $23/share offer. I think they meant $23 for the whole company.
Note: the author of "Glassware it works!" wrote a follow up report that said "Glassware, it Does NOT work!!"
He also asked that the sticky post be removed as it is false and misleading. His first test was to install it. His second test involved a more detailed review. The only thing that worked was the install (poorly) and running the most basic and simplistic Win 7 apps. Nothing else worked and there were no management tools.
Hardly a "game changer" or "Citrix killer' or "makes VMware redundant" product.

I suspect that most "investors" involved in this are simply too embarrassed to proceed. That would require them to admit they were fooled by a stock promoter, and that PT Barnum was right.

By virtualization, I assume you mean VMware. Glassware is irrelevant (and I am being .... kind).
So, why not invest in VMware directly? Sphere is just one of about 70,000+ VMware partners, and frankly, their management is extraordinarily inept. I base that on performance: 9+ years of consecutive quarterly losses.
If you think Sphere sells its own virtualization IP, perhaps you can explain why Novarad and Entisys are no longer selling Sphere solutions. As I recall, Sphere proclaimed that Novorad had HUGE market potential with thousands of installs just waiting to be upgraded. Result: zero clients and zero revenue. What happened?
Entisys were described as one of VMware's largest resellers with global reach (they were most definitely not). So, what happened to them? Again, zero clients and zero revenue.
But, by all means, invest in Sphere. I hear that the boathouse in Barbados needs a new dock.
There's still retail investors ready and willing to be fleeced, so it's business as usual :)
And by fleeced I mean ready and willing to invest hard earned cash in the next big thing in the technology and IT world. It's a can't miss opportunity at these prices!

That small VAR that Sphere purchased resells VMware Horizon solutions. Perhaps you noticed that contrary to what Sphere claimed, VMware does NOT resell Glassware or DCO, or any Sphere products.
However, Sphere resells VMware (as does about 70,000 other VMware partners. Reminds me ......whatever happened to that deal with Entisys any way?)
There's a reason Sphere has dropped from $10 to ten cents. Some people figured it out, some people haven't and apparently never will.

They specifically stated that they had a strategic partnership. Eric Kelly said that Sphere was well known in the corner offices at MSFT headquarters.
They also claimed that Glassware and DCO was embedded in VMware Horizon.
They weren't and it isn't. Never was. Never will be.
