Oh my. That's actually worse than I expected. JMHO, but I think the death spiral will start tomorrow.
It doesn't matter what any of those stocks were suspended for. The fact is they don't re list once sent to the greys. The math is correct.
And the odds are about 56% that it will be revoked. All suspended grey stock message boards have people posting things like "when it gets up listed" or "they did nothing wrong so they should be off the greys soon". Thing is, it never happens. The SEC does not take suspensions lightly. They know it's a death sentence. PHOT did something wrong. I don't know what exactly. But there are only two reasons. Late filing, or fraud. And it wasn't late filing folks.
Hey Green, just looked into other 10-Q's. All of them said basically the same thing. You are right. I always admit when I am wrong and I retract everything I wrote in my prior post. Thanks for the lesson. Salute!
So Terra Tech comes out and admits it may not be able to continue it's operations? And so many of you folks are still dreaming about making big bucks on this stock? This is why you NEVER fall in love with a stock. It makes you delusional. Gotta love their honesty though. But damn, cum-on man.
yea Kitty you got that right. To the tune of about 80%. That's when I started looking into what happens to suspended stocks. It's a death sentence. Every time!
Yes, in the sense that the eventual fate of this stock has already been determined. The fate of the company is still up in the air, but it doesn't look good. If you have the patience to day trade a grey stock, there is still money to be made here. Theoretically you could pull 20-30% profit from this thing daily. If you could get your orders filled in a timely manner.
"Will once again turn a profit"? This company has never turned a profit. They pay their bills by dumping more shares on the market. I think many of you are over thinking this whole thing anyway. Once a stock has been suspended, that's it. The stock dies. It's only a matter of time. Even the 2 that finally made it off the greys didn't do well after. That is not my opinion, that is a statistical fact. That is all the DD you need. This next part is IMHO. Once the stock is worthless, the company will not have that money tree anymore. They won't be able to pay their day to day bills let alone all that debt. They will be forced into bankruptcy.
Business 101. No positive cash flow, no business.
No, because she has a better chance of winning than you do.
What time is telling me is that it's going down. For about five weeks the PPS bounced between .10-.13, then .09-.11 then .08-.10 last week it was .07-.09 now it's .06-.08. A slow steady drop into the abyss.
My post was total sarcasm Tick.
That's because everybody knows the SEC was shorting PHOT n' stuff. It's a government conspiracy obviously. I'm buying a million shares when it gets down to .05, so I can sell them later at their par value of .0001. Suspended grey market stocks are my favorite investment. Works every time.
Woh there cowboy. PHOT is still pretty freakin far from from making it off the greys. Givin' their financials, they are much more likely to go bankrupt by the end of the year than be re-listed.
That was good news today Kristi. Thank you for posting it. Would love to add it to my list. It is a small glimmer of hope. Odds are, it's just fool's gold though. We'll see. It's going to take months either way.
The last suspended stock that made it off the greys was EDVP. It took 8 months. That one was re-listed in 2013. The one before that was EMGE in 2011. After a year and a half. Just to give you some perspective on the time frame involved here.
Actually Papa V. Those ARE the the only two reasons stocks get suspended. It wasn't delinquent filing. So...By process of elimination, that leaves fraud. The SEC is always vague on details. Nobody knows what exactly the fraud was. The SEC doesn't take suspensions lightly. They know it's a death sentence.
That is a great idea. And it's a no lose situation for you. It happened on Friday too, at .80 that time. My broker says it doesn't have to an exact amount of shares. Somebody made out like a bandit today and Friday.
Somebody made a mistake and bought some shares at .90 instead of .09. Happens all the time.
It is a death sentence folks. The sooner you realize it the better for you. Statistically, PHOT is a dead man walking. It happens every time! I am surprised so many people don't know that. I've been there. Done that. Lost 80%. Studied suspended grey stocks. I am only here because I have the time to warn fellow human beings to not be foolish like I was in the beginning. Peace Love, and don't be a dumbass like me.
Photplay that was a dang fine well thought out post. You make some good points. IMHO weed stocks are a commodity just like any other, and will behave accordingly. All of these companies lose money and their high PPS is based on pure speculation. The other weed stocks that were suspended are withering as expected. PHOT is wildly popular and I believe it will take longer than normal for them. But it will happen, same as the others. IMHO.
Lower highs and lower lows. It was hovering in the .10-.13 range for 4 weeks. Then .09-.11, then .08-.10 for about a week. Now .07-.09. Anyone see a trend here?
Now be fair Doc. Granted my count of approx 2200 suspended stocks was from 3 months ago. It may be up to 2400 by now, but that still makes the odds only 99.91667% it will never make it off the greys. LOL.
See my post #93730. An SEC suspension is essentially a death sentence. It will never come off the greys.
Yea right. It's like a train wreck. You can't help but look. I get jokes:)
Actually, yes. A suspension is essentially a death sentence, but there is hope. There is a 0.090909% chance it will recover. Makes slot machines seem like a great prospect.
Since Jan 1 2010 approx 2200 stock tickers have been suspended and sent to the grey market. Only 2 have made it back. EMGE and EDVP. And they have not done well since. Makes the odds about 99.9091% that it will never happen.
Try to separate PHOT the stock, from Growlife the company in your mind. The question is, can Growlife survive without diluting shares of PHOT? Most of their operating costs have been and are being funded from selling additional shares to investors.
My point is, an SEC suspension is a death sentence for any stock. It's just a statistical fact. It may take months, or even a year, but PHOT stock will become worthless. Either on it's own on the greys, or from being revoked. That's a given.
How does Growlife survive without PHOT?
Never go long on a suspended grey market stock. One doesn't even have to be smart to know that.
If by some miracle that were to happen, I'd say it would go back to trading around .50 pretty quick, like before.
You have to call them and do it over the phone. It's a grey market thing.
Please don't be foolish folks. Suspended grey stocks are never a good investment. Never. I have no agenda, I'm just trying to help out fellow human beings. I got burned before, I know.
Only 2 stocks have made it off the greys after being suspended since Jan 1, 2000. EMGE and EDVP. Neither did well after. To put it in perspective, that's 2 out approx 2200. The rest died on the greys. That is PHOT's future. It will take time, but that's what always happens. Not, um, a good investment.
I think somebody was trying to put in a sell order at .13 and screwed up the decimal point. That person is hatin' life right now while the buyer is thrilled!
Yea I know. I've been thinking that once that .10 barrier got broken, this thing would start tanking. It was only a matter of time. Doubt they will be out of business by August though. This Marco person hasn't had time to bilk it enough yet. Probably by the end of the year. The rest of this week should be interesting.
Large volume today. Which normally would be a good thing, except the PPS dropped below .10 for the first time in almost 8 weeks.
While I disagree with your summery at the end, that was a damn fine, well thought out, and even informative post!
Day trading. I'd do it too, but my buy/sell orders don't fill in a timely manner.
If I remember correctly, the company lost 21 million last year. Which is about ten times more than the year before. They pay their bills and salaries by selling shares of stock to people like us. Now that PHOT has been suspended, it will die a slow death on the grey market. Once that money tree dries up, that's it. BK. No bank would loan money to a company that doesn't make any profit. Bankruptcy is inevitable.
Pretty sure that funny media guy is being sarcastic. I get jokes:)
Yea well, it does have a 0.09% chance of getting off the greys. I figure those are pretty good odds. I may go all in, or go to Reno. Haven't decided yet.
