Yes, and it doesn't sound like a bad bet they're trying to cover and "insure". Usually there's quiet sells. This has, ~"We know there's opportunity here, and we want to own it" written all over it.
That's pretty cool you played ball at Mizzou.
The Cowen coverage is good but the article was crap. Not even a mention of BB or Julian on the BoD. An analyst would HAVE to include that. And they didn't.
The SA article is definitely better.
A catalyst could be as soon a PM tomorrow. Data is due "at the end of the second quarter." With the change in BoD and the AH activity on Friday (300K shares on the bid together - pretty nuts), not to mention the sudden left out of red on Friday - we might see liftoff tomorrow. Especially with Julian's options at, I think, $5.8. I expect to see us well above $6 even on no news. Over $10 on news.
Nice. Got my BBA & MBA from Texas Tech. I wanted to find SOME common ground with an Aggy ... but ... since you aren't one, I guess I'll have to keep looking lol.
Sucks Manziel won't be around anymore, I don't really have an excuse to watch Aggy football --- unless I want to watch Nick Saban sweat.
I was at Tech's last game against Mizzou. That was a heartbreaker. Last second INT's on the 5 will make you want to choke kittens. Great area though. Worst beer shits of my life the next day.
I'm not real special but my contacts are:
j.brantz2 on yahoo
and
@Insaencula on Twitter
I figure communication is key if y'all are interested.
Yeah, sold half my holdings the first time it went to $8 and dumped it into LJPC. LJPC was gapping up when NWBO kinda got a ruling back and have pretty much lost touch. Still invested though. I have new money on IDRA. And I'm excited about it.
I'd get in Monday morning if applicable - ie: there's no PR in the PM.
Question, fellow Texan, art thou an Aggy?
Help me out, please.
I've done my DD to the best of my ability. The only thing, aside from technical lingo - which I'll pick up on eventually, that remains ambiguous is whether IDRA will be pursuing/be pursued by big Pharma for a partner on psoriasis?
The conference call seemed ... confident as if resisting the idea. I take this as a bullish indicator that they feel that they can handle it and wish to enter the larger markets by themselves. But getting a partner can't hurt. It definitely won't hurt the PPS.
I'm excited about the entry into the cancer market. Hopefully they can be more forthcoming than NWBO was/is.
Thanks in advance.
Hey all,
New guy. Quick thing about me, I caught ICPT at ~150 rode CHTP & NWBO just finished up with LJPC. Now I'm here.
I like to follow the Baker Bros train.
I'm not a big holder. Young, building for kid's college/my retirement.
I figured with how the chart was setup, previous bios hype, the recent news, and PM activity that I needed in IDRA ASAP. I filed an at-market order and it landed at $6. Oops.
I'm long IDRA though. I firmly believe I'm, at least, going to double my money by April. Even so, I think I'm hanging around longer though. Julian becoming part of the BoD is not exactly a minor thing.
I like to ask questions - still pretty new at this.
Anyway, GLTA. Shorts be damned!
This is good info as I have not funded it yet. Looking like ETrade then!
I didn't fund it because I was hoping to hear something. Thank you!
Excited for Monday.
Thanks!
I signed up for TD Ameritrade tonight. I like their phone app and generally easy-to-use format. Good for a newbie like me.
These online brokers need to carpe diem/domain and edge out twitter wilt peer trader interfaces. Communication is key to the money multiplier effect as their client base will be augmenting share prices in a semi-coordinated manner. I believe they can make it look professional too. And won't HAVE to employ marketing. I hate using Twitter for trading.
I wrote them. I'll let y'all know what they say. lol
I expect it to in accordance to an MM coordination - not anything intrinsic to the company however.
If you see a drop of 20-30% BEFORE the conference, hang in - no stop losses. It will come back up. When it does, I'm putting a stop-loss on. Hopefully they don't go twice.
If it drops like that during or after the conference ... well, up to you. I'd be out.
Bear raids are normal. They did it with me in CHTP and NWBO. It always normalizes. They just want the shares from those recently in with stop-losses.
Yeah, sorry. One too many zeros.
Good have you here too.
I bailed on NWBO at 7.7 got in at 4.8 so ... I can stop pretending to care about the science there now lol
I'm ready. I'm trying to orchestrate this through my brokerage Roth. It makes the timing less than perfect. I hate broad stroke investments.
Could you guys recommend a trading platform for me? Etrade? Scottrade?
I guess Chardan is assuming fast-track to approval status. There's no way it was terminated due to efficacy with a p-vaule of 0.100 in a single-blinded study. Not that they won't meet it, but I think the requirement is > 0.005 for efficacy.
I digress.
I expect to hear something along the lines of "strong results".
After the bear raid, during the conference, I will likely have a tight stop.
Pretty quiet considering what's about to happen.
I guess this board has A. Collected or B. Is numb to this stock's activity.
We've got a base now off of a double bottom, second low higher, relative sideways movement now. It can rebound from here. Can.
Whichever HF/MM walked this this down AH did this in the stock's favor. Day traders would've killed it. We have healthy consolidation.
Need a good earnings call to build off of thia new ground. The Roth and the patents should take care of it too.
Just sucks coming in a little late. I looked at this puppy last week ...
Well this sucks
+15% if no gap up...
I'm hoping. Small holdings. In for the next week.
Still doing my DD to convince myself to increase and stay. I hate momentum buys but this had to be jumped on!
Can someone give me highlights to be long on?
Thanks in advance.
Thank you! Wow.
They kinda ate it on XOMA today, but I know they won't be wrong here!
I didn't see a mention of Bakets Bros anywhere. Where did thus come? Somewhat significant if true.
Their stop-loss was triggered in the profit-taking, AF bash consolidation and they maintained the stock in the low $6's where they did most of their pivoting.
Seems to me thar they are just as unsure. Holding and waiting.
Done some consolidation myself. I bought 500 this morning and AF took that value from me. And I was maxed out.
Sold 800. Bought back in 350. Holding. I had to refi to keep things ahead of me.
AH will give me an aneurysm.
F AF!
This should be illegal.
He knows there's a potential for a drop after a continue and he's ensuring his short.
At first, I disagreed. But I see it now.
Dang.
BUT, if there was going to be a bad announcement - maybe - that will be muted too.
It would be so nice if just ended tomorrow.
What was Linda's exact quote? In regard to not having heard from the DMC.
(On my phone or I'd check too)
Let's rule out ...
NW received a futility termination and is sitting on it (as we've discussed, NW is not legally obliged) bartering with the DMC on trial ambiguities.
I'm long - y'all know that. But eliminating this would go far in determining prospects.
"Goldman Sach's ONLY has 600K shares on NWBO"
My response to a yahoo posters. Feel free to critique as you see fit:
I'm not sure what else a long could want.
EDGX** is actively managing this stock. *GS's 600k+ buy-in with this MM** manipulation to leverage its 20% partner* isn't exactly a bearish indicator.
I know they're still around because they placed an 11k block buy at 1600 per their usual on Friday at the close after the, what I've determined to be, profit taking and weak handedness.
Institutional defection would've been much much deeper (-$2 or -$3) than a less than ~$1 drop than we saw. They arrested the fall they inadvertently facilitated with a massive block buy on Friday morning. That thing was ready to fall another $.5!
A lot of care to position this "small" vote of confidence has come in here. I actually think Thurday's gap up was unhealthy and couldn't have their lean maintained because of all the $7.5 calls that were triggered basically on the bell. Hard to plan for, can't be quick enough to act.
GS may "only" have ~600k+ on NW, but they sure are taking care of their money.
Too bad.
Great post. Still left with a large degree of hopeless ambiguity. I'd love to get flipper's opinion.
I kinda chuckled at the same thought earlier.
It is no revelation but there's more money in NW on this board than Yahoo. So the tension has a calm before the storm to it here. I can respect that.
It sure does get tempting to sell. And I've seen some of us have defected. But I believe in this company. I wagered a lose-able portion of money. I'm not going anywhere until we get good news.
Even if NW is sitting on the DMC ruling, we would've seen - whoever the main MM is - more than an unwarranted dollar lost. The move to $8 was a little strong. These big dogs know when things are right or wrong.
I digress. There's too much international smoke to let this one go.
This chart looks a lot healthier. I was quietly alarmed by our gap and ride up yesterday.
I hope, pray, expect it to oscillate here ~7.2 until a PR.
MM over compensated for the predicted selloff this morning. That's a good thing. It means they care and that it could've been a lot worse. There will be a lot of cheap shares available soon.
Told you it would gap up.
Institutions still like NW while y'all bitch.
Going to gap up again. Watch this.
I don'tknow how the longer the decision the worse it could be.
Rules, laws, ethics - if there is a safety issue INCLUDING futility, it is a danger to the patients and will be halted as soon as possible.
Going on week 12, there is no halt. This is good.
~150K plus on the sell side. Either consolidation or an announcement is coming.
MM either dropped to pick up shares or is exiting. A little small for an exit.
We'll see.
I have no doubt the trial is complex and reason for a delay. But as far as info requests, etc. I would hope that was cooked into the ruling's time estimate.
