itoro: I don't care if they buy or not. Any move in the share price after a BOD buy would only be temporary. It's not their job to manipulate the stock.
Flags: Closed up over 2%. The BOD must have bought a few shares.
Right! If McGann throws in a measly $10,000 the volume and share price will go up and stay up. Buff, sometimes you slay me! Have a nice Saturday. If the share price moves today , please let me know. I'll be out in the back yard cooking burgers.
Itoro: Please don't risk your assets any longer. Instead of hitting the "ask" button, please hit the "sell" button.
That was my experience providing large scale computers to Government and Fortune 500 companies.
Simple...It is.
Management Lesson 1:
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings..
The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.
When she opens the door there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor...
Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel."
After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob , after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.
The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.
When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'
'It was Bob the next door neighbor,' she replies....
"Great," the husband says, "Did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?"
Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders, in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.
Give me a break. The people who are potential buyers already know about IMSC. Who do you want them to go after? Homeowners? Little League? Liquor stores?
itoro: You obviously know the name of investors that are willing to do a refi. Please let the IMSC CFO know who they are.
Hopefully they have received 53M in cash, but the customers won't pay at time of shipment. Not until installation is complete and the equipment is tested and operating as represented. Good thing they aren't selling to Oracle or they would be stiffed for months and months.
Come on itoro, press releases don't increase share value. Earnings increase share value.
You got Mr. Bolduc fired? Wow! I wasn't aware that you had that kind of power, Mr. Buffalop. Please don't get Mr. McGann fired. I think he's trying very hard....Respectfully RenoJon.
Finally, a little sanity has returning to the board. One thing we might consider. IMSC's customers won't be paying at delivery. The units must be installed, the operators trained, and the units accepted as working properly. Also, governments are notoriously slow payers. So we shouldn't panic if IMSC hasn't been paid for sales we're hearing about. Do any of the bean counters here know if IMSC books revenue when sold or when payment is received?
No chart has ever bought or sold even 1 share of stock.
I'm guessing that many of us here would be quite pleased if you didn't use any words to describe it.
As I've asked you before...What exactly are the simple things the BOD could do that would increase the share price in a "sustainable" way? The key word here is "sustainable". Either give us the answer or kindly stop saying the same stale thing over and over again. By the way, I feel fairly sure that the BOD didn't force you to buy at an average price of $1.10.
Give me a break. PRs don't make the share price go up and stay up. Positive EPS (earnings growth) make the share price go up and stay up. That's Investing 101. Do you invest in a company because they make or will make money or because they issue lots of pretty PRs?
Oh my! Oh my! Surly the 1.50-1.80 target guy(s) can't be shorts.
I agree that Dr. Jones' position is strong even though 6 months ago posters here were calling for his head. I wonder if 6 months from now we might all be cheering Dr. McGann's name? Patience folks...patience.
Revenue growth without earnings growth cannot create a sustainable increase in share price. Well, Amazon is an exception. Positive earnings will shoot the share price over a dollar and keep it there. Meanwhile, now is an excellent time to buy.
How exactly is the Board depressing the share price today itoro? Are they selling their personal shares? Are they making misleading statements? Are they holding board meetings in the absence of management? How exactly do you believe that?
Yes itoro, it is expensive. The company lost $21,000,000 last year. It won't be expensive as the losses decrease. Simple isn't it?
They've developed great products, are selling the heck out of them, and setting the company up to be profitable in the mid-term.......so you might consider how silly the negativity is.
Oh......pleeze.
Z: "Also, they were not losing any money when it was trading comfortably over a dollar, right?"
You might consider doing your research again. IMSC has never shown a profit according to the year-end financial data on the IMSC website (1998-2014). During the last 5-year period the company has lost between $15.4 million and $27.3 million. Sorry about the lol. I just can't help laughing when I read some of the posts here.
lol...Yes...and...
Cash - in savings accounts, short-term CDs or money market deposits - is great for an emergency fund. But to fulfill a long-term investment goal like funding your retirement, consider buying stocks. The more distant your financial target, the longer inflation will gnaw at the purchasing power of your money.
Suze Orman
LOL...do you really think a company that is losing $15,000,000 should be trading above $1 per share. If so, why?
The sell button will turn your dead money into live money. Go for it.
We know you car, itoro, have you considered throwing your hat in the ring?
No reason? How about huge negative EPS?
I think he has a clue. The company is losing $15,000,000. that makes it overpriced by 73 cents at this time.
What kind of new investor would be excited enough to buy shares in a company that is currently losing $15,000,000. A sustainable increase in share price will only come from positive EPS not from insider manipulation.
Surely those aren't the BOD tools you've been talking about that will result in a sustainable rise in share price?
Given that the company is losing $15,000,000 this year and the EPS is minus a whole bunch, what exactly are those tools that you believe the BOD could use to move the share price today in a sustainable way? Please list the tools for me because I'm under the misconception that positive EPS growing quarter after quarter is what makes a share price trend up and stay up. Thanks in advance for clearing that up for me.
Where are all the folks that were here yesterday announcing that the sky is falling. Oh...now I see...we're up 8% today. Guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow to hear from them again.
There's no proof that a candle ever bought or sold even 1 share of stock.
Thanks for the heads-up. I was able to buy there. That's called investing.
Z...Oh....right...OK.
Z...they aren't the ones complaining. They didn't force you to buy.
