You're only alone in the sense that no one else posts every transaction. Never lose money!
All good rusty. Also, Spencer Falk is busy making contacts with large companies and we should expect some new public relation efforts soon.
322k on the ask @ $.118
Actually, ssc, it was in a previous conversation about the same subject that he said, "It better not take five years because I'll be muttering by then!"
Sparroww mentioned he had seen the new unit being worked on so the work is underway. The human sized unit shouldn't take near as long because the only big change is the size.
ssc, There is no doubt that the 5 years language was not what the market had hoped for so I asked Manny why they chose that phraseology. He said it is because it is not for them (MDA) to say exactly when the technology would be available for human trials but rather it is up to when the company is ready. So to be legal they used a really wide time frame as a guess. The company has to get the human size unit up and running and what ever FDA approval is needed to get started. You could send him an e mail and get the answers to your questions by using the contact info on the website.
A better than 6 buck (14%) pop on "horrible" earnings. Stranger things have happened!
Me too. As long as the good times are rolling at CRS they won't even feel the minimum royalty payments to mhtx!
Thanks rustydog62, warm and fuzzy feelings aside, the skeptic in me would like to see an official detailed accounting of exactly how the donation is spent. That's just me and how I try to evaluate charities. Nothing against Sprint for Life. It would just be nice to see the trail of monies once they are turned over to the MDA faculty member. The other part is, How much did they raise vs. how much was the donation. Sometimes a charity can be a bit misleading in that they'll only donate a small portion of what they actually raise and chalk it up to "awareness".(and they are a non taxable entity)
ssc, As you know, it doesn't take a different mrx machine for every type of cancer but different labeling of nano particles for different cancers that cause the NPs to bind to cancer cells. The mrx then detects the bound particles in a group that indicates a tumor of the same type of cancer as the labeling.
Dr. Flynn's testing was with HER2 breast cancer because his wife had it.
Dr. Robert Bast at MDA, an ovarian cancer specialist, was one of the first, outside of Senior Scientific, to show interest in the technology. Also, it could be that MDA was looking for the shortest road to the greatest benefits of the technology when they chose to validate it on ovarian cancer first.
When human trials begin at MDA, expect the mrx to be tried on multiple types of cancers including breast cancer.
If you bought in today, your dividend would be 4 times your purchase price! You don't see that very often.
ssc, You are saying that the spin off would raise cash for mhtx and they should return that cash to shareholders in a mix of dividends and share buybacks. I can see short term value in that.
That, of course, would leave mhtx without Senior Scientific and all of it's potential and without the cash raised by the spin off. It would also leave mhtx without the expense of SSI while they would still have the income from CRS and the same potential for future metals contracts. My guess is it may cause an initial share price spike that would eventually slide away as the "game over" mind set gets adopted by the majority of shareholders... but I have been wrong before...
The question was: How would a spin off of Senior Scientific benefit the stock price of mhtx?
I'm sorry. I didn't see a specific correlation to a "spin off" in that response.
I have my own ideas that include a "spin off" and I want to know how others think about the subject.
ssc, I'm curious. Please explain how a "spin off" of SSI would benefit the MHTX pps.
A spinoff of Senior Scientifics (best option), partnership(s) or licensing deal(s) will move the stock as high as anyone ever dreamed it would go.
I'm not necessarily disagreeing but the details are going to be important.
I think you mean OTC Bulletin Board stocks as Nasdaq is OTC. When the time comes that the ALGOs hit the "Buy" button, you won't want to be without shares!
Several years ago there was one institutional investor that had a stake in mhtx for a time.
Stringing together multiple "in the black" quarters would work wonders for helping to attract institutional investors.
That is why my short answer always comes back to "revenues".
What's MTV?
That's easy. Revenues. The market is all about, "Show me the money". That doesn't mean that there isn't value in intellectual property and that value should improve as those properties become,"proven". How much of the recent news has already been priced in, etc.
TVU not TVA.
ssc, the "1 million times better" was in comparison to a mammogram. The poster says tumors were detected as small as 10 to the 4th cell quantity. After doing the math that equates to 10,000 cells.
"200 times better than TVA", would indicate that the smallest tumor TVA can image is 2 million cells. The point of the poster, then, is that if Nano MRX can diagnose a tumor of only 10,000 cells and the tumor has to be 2 million cells before TVA detects it, then magnetic relaxometry represents a huge improvement in earlier diagnostics of ovarian cancer which would translate into increased survival rates through earlier detection.
One of the things that you have harped on over the years is, "Does anyone know if this technology works?" I think MDA has answered, "YES!"
Don't tell any one or they start shorting it too!
In case no one has noticed, there isn't much the market is interested in lately except for selling.
Certainly.
I don't know but we have read all of your "factual" rants before
and it seems that the one fact that you choose to ignore is that Dr. Flynn's technology is in the world's premier cancer research hospital and their initial public statement about it is that it is "unparalleled"!
One thing I found on the FDA website under "medical devices", is an "investigational device exemption". I believe that if the company chooses to apply for one, then certain human trials could begin upon approval of that application.
I'm also thinking that the doctors at MDA are not going to call something "unparalleled" and then shove it into a corner and walk away! I think they will be finding ways to put it to good use as soon as they possibly can.
If trying to buy at $.11, use a GTC order! Good Luck.
I found it to be pretty easy to spend a lot of time on this site.
http://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/default.htm
Agreed!
MHTX could announce that it has cured cancer and Alzheimer's and added $600 million in annual revenues, and the market wouldn't care. The prevailing attitude is just too defensive right now.
I would be qualified to answer that if I was an aircraft mechanic. As a pilot there are other things to think about, like staying on course, estimating waypoints and keeping the aircraft from flying into the ground or other aircraft. That gets to be embarrassing.
You are correct, eatbytes. The "5 years" phrasing IMO is a worst case generalized time frame that as I stated before includes the present. Some important events that may have occurred regarding both the approval process and the time proximity of human clinical trials cannot be publicized because either the content involves people that will not approve the use of their names in the press release or, and there is a fine line here, the piece would be considered to be advertising rather than news. I'm just saying that the company has a plan for both and is moving forward on both plans. I think it is a shame that some of these could not be publicized, because of the positive effect they could have had on the pps.
Looking over the last two press releases, a couple of things stand out:
1. The FDA approval process is beginning.
2. It was MD Anderson that called MRX "Unparalleled" in sensitivity and holds promise for much earlier detection of ovarian cancer.
3."Results released by MD Anderson Cancer Center"
IMO, This adds up to miles and miles of progress!
You might be right, eatebytes.
One of the capabilities of some nano particles is that they can be loaded not only with specific cancer anti bodies but also Chemo Drugs thus enabling a secondary injection to transport the chemo drug directly to the cancer cells.
The other possibility is thermo oncology which involves rapid vibration of magnets that would cause attached particles to rub against each other and the resulting friction could raise the tumor's temperature enough to kill it.
If either of these processes prove viable then MRX could eliminate the need for some such surgeries.
"Within the next 5 years" is a broad time frame that includes today and tomorrow. One thing we don't know is exactly when that conclusion was stated.
I found interesting, the number used to describe the sensitivity difference, 10 to the 4th power. Isn't that like saying a million times?
So MDA has found the technology, "promising". MHTX needs to find a way to cause this to generate revenue!
The market is just saying that at today's price that information has already been "Priced in". What it really wants to see is either some revenue from this or another operation or at least, the potential to immediately create "in the black" quarterly reports. I think this would be a great time to disclose an additional license agreement.
Looks like they are beginning the FDA approval process! If things were not going well at MDA, would they do that?
I don't know their histories or how they got involved with mhtx but when I asked about them I was told they have no value.
Hey, ZM, Tamarack and Teneo are not active and have no value.
From where did it originate?
Rusty, I really don't see the significance of that casual encounter relevant to the company's current path except that it came about 15 years late!
Welcome back and congratulations. Why wouldn't you buy at a 30 plus % discount off the high!? Was your internet down resulting from hurricane damage in Cabo?
