yeah, it'll be half-water, half drilling fluids
Let's also not forget that there is a natural demarcation line northwest of where all the action is. So that probably falls under the heading: "Bad Luck in Choosing those Pels"
Look at the cooper eromanga PEL maps....it's now the middle of 2018, can someone please find any sizeable oil northwest of our Pels? how many years have these Pels been available for drilling and what's been found?
I'll say it again (I'm sure I said it in the past), these 3D guys and the morons who interpret the 3D are a bunch of snake oil salesmen.
I still find it amazing that no one can discern the difference between oil and water....especially given the vast disparity in densities.
Oh well......
sorry.....can't blame anyone but the ones who opened the door and let them in.
yep.
might get "lucky" and find buyers at $.01
the silence is not deafening......it's damning.
Hey gump,
If I may answer for tchauncy.....
I believe the Aussie govt sold prospectors a bill of goods in claiming that there were hydrocarbons on the outer-lying PELs. That was #1.
#2 are the outright lies of geologists claiming that there's P90, P10....whatever Probability you can assign to an acreage as to recoverables.
Horse- do-do.
Look at a map of where all the others are drilling, where they're striking oil and whether it's Birkhead, Namur ....etc......
This is basically finito.
Oh, yeah, almost forgot.....the guys at Claren are totally mum about this, and they were the ones who ACTUALLY pushed things along
stop the presses.....
CNENF had 250 shares trade today!!
Been a month since they traded.
Things are looking rosy!
yeah, that's too bad because right now is a good time to drill.
London - Brent Crude hit $80/bbl.....just saying....
which kinda brings me to my next point.....
when HENC drills at the 11th hour, it's basically "damn the torpedos, full speed ahead"...meaning: when they have pored over the 3D and narrowed the search, in the end, it's just: "let's satisfy our requirement to drill and see you in 4 years, and who gives a darn if there's water or oil...."
in essence, that's what's happening. the reality of finding oil instead of water is EXTREMELY remote, especially in what is turning out to be barren PELs. So, just embrace the fact that you have to drill and then tidy up the place and see you later.
How's that for a rant?
not a geologist, but all these PhDs can't figure out the difference in density between water and oil.....
done ranting for today.
Had to post this....it's from the summary info on top of the message board page.
<<We have identified 38 leads on our PEL 112 concession alone. Five of those leads targeted for evaluation were determined to contain mean unrisked in-place prospective resources ranging from 56 million barrels to 70 million barrels.>>
When you sell a used car, you're able to puff it up a bit. This is outright lying. JMO
....contain mean UNRISKED in-place......
Puh-lease....
Exactly. The big boys - Beach, et al, have more PELs than they know what to do with them. They don't need to venture outside of their leaseholds.
Basically, we're looking for a miracle.
they are planning ahead....to deliver at the 11th hour.
I guess, and I'm just thinking aloud in a vacuum right now, the bigger boys - Beach, Santos, etc. have all the PELs they need and really have no desire to team up with the wildest of a wildcat venture, namely HENC.
So......that leaves it to any outsiders that want in. How many outsiders are there? Is it worth it for them? etc......
My mind is boggled.
yeah....wonder what's going on
I'm curious to hear from Chauncy why he's still nibbling and buying shares....
On the face of it, it's a freakin' mess.
OT, I was looking at Beach or Senex...forgot which one, anyway, they have something like an 89% hit rate on their drilling programs.
Just to recap.....we've had 2D...then 3D done; experts pored over the data and determined that we dig where "X" marks the spot. Duster city.
We take on partners, ownership percentage goes down; money tight; hibernation mode....wait out the storm until the 11th hour. DRILL....one.....well.
Repeat until we can't do it anymore.
Not sure if I'm missing anything.
Funny, sometimes I have the image of us looking over the OIL FAIRWAY boundary and seeing our neighbors awash in oil...while we're sucking sand.
That about sums up everything from my end.
Well......
odds are against us, to say the least.
I, for one, highly doubt that they will drill more than one well on each.
Do you, or anyone else for that matter, think that Senex, Beach, Santos, et al, will step up and partner with these guys, especially knowing that they lose the PELs after not finding oil on the next try?
It will take a not-so-small miracle for them to pull off a multiple drilling program so that our odds are not so awful.
I think drilling just ONE well on each is highly doubtful at this point.
Company's hibernation mode made me this way.
I wish it was a no-brainer.
I think we have one last hurrah, and then pffffft!
Question to Chauncy: Since our PELs lie outside the Copper Basin, has there been any oil discovery outside of that border?
HENC et al, take note.....
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/oil-prices-rise-fall-u-070521710.html
by hook or by crook, prices will rise.
Time to reserve the rig!
Brent Crude....68 bucks - -- just sayin'
6.50 is close to 800 mill market cap.....my mind can't get around any scenario - in my lifetime - that will get us there.
Santos has a bidder....
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-04-03/santos-receives-13.5-billion-dollar-takeover-bid/9612420
Some long-time shareholders (within last 10-12 years) will get screwed if it goes through. Check out the chart and look at all the past activity above the current offer line.
Agree.....sorry i don't have more to add.
Except, I re-read the old ISIS analysis
http://www.hollomanenergy.com/_resources/PART1.pdf
had nothing better to do.
Beach Energy breakeven is $17 boe. Good article....
https://www.smh.com.au/business/companies/beach-energy-hits-profit-as-it-beds-down-lattice-acquisition-20180219-p4z0sq.html
wish that made sense
someone nickel and diming?
buy at a penny, sell at .018
whoa....careful there pardner....volume is meaningless.
my recommendation before you hit the buy button......measure twice, cut once.
I'm still flummoxed by the 900k that went through a short while back.
Who thought it was a good idea to let go of at least 900k shares at a penny!!!!!
That's got me spooked.
I think the subsequent volume is a smoke screen, as well as the patronizing bump up in price on relatively low volume.
Need to have serious discussions here, not pie in the sky stuff.
TC being back may pave the way for more lucidity.
A huge catalyst would be if Claren came back and started pushing to drill...
sorry, just another dream-filled scenario....carry on.
I can think of a million different scenarios as to why it's being traded. In the end, it's all a matter of having substance behind the price action.
Not arguing with the movement of the stock, but it's all too easily manipulated....
That said, keep it going!
de minimus
the 900k from the other day had me thinking.....probably a forced liquidation in re a divorce decree.
other than that, nothing else to add.
BTW, I'd like to be proven wrong on everything that I've written on this board.
I would beg to differ on all counts....
-SP is at a penny - that, to me, is the definition of in-the-crapper
-ostrich-like behavior of HENC mgmt (as well as bear-like - hibernating) I think I've covered all the appropriate animals.
-3D, expert analysis....can't discern water from oil...that deserves a wtf. not even a sniff.
-Oil fairway......where do you think it runs? I'm pretty convinced it runs below our PELs
- Claren diverting attention and funds to Europe - that's a vote of no-confidence in the our Pels
-3D- revisited, we shared it with Beach or the other one....I don't see any clamoring to partner-up with us because we may have something under our feet.
I'd like to know what's missing. I've read everything there is to read on the I-net....and it all comes up snake eyes.
You were (are) the biggest cheerleader for HENC, where did Gump, I, and everyone else go wrong (besides HENC mgmt)?
purposely not spoken with management.....
Which begs the question, why?
I'm sure anyone who's still here wants to get your take on things.
Gump....you're right, hard to pump it when there's no substance behind it.
Although, Tchauncy was an interesting read.
900k the other day has me stumped. not a lot of money, but still, I imagine the cost basis could have been significant.
Wonder who, why.....?
yeah, i was curious about this.....
I saw over 500k hanging on the bid @ .01 earlier today and have to say that i was dumbfounded.
who is selling and who is the buyer?????
made things interesting today.....besides my ZSAN !!!!!
lo and behold, someone is getting it for a penny.
I invite anyone to try to get it for 1 cent.
total bs going on
Why the sudden desire to cr@p on people??
who's the sadist dripping this down?
just let it lay there.
karma.....karma......karma.....
yeah...
not sure what to say in this news vacuum.
it would be entertaining, at the very least, if we heard from tchauncy....or even from trident, or whatever his moniker is.
hey gump,
Yeah, appears like a complete abandonment by mgmt.
funny how Beach and Senex keep spudding away.....and HENC sits here like it's the end of the world.
well.....200k today. There goes the streak. time to start another one.
Happy Valentine's day......whoooppeeee!
Just thought I'd chime in and say that this is the longest stretch, within at least the last 5 years, of no trades. 11 days in a row.
Keep up the good work!!
