Remember Bear Stearns? The first offer was $2.00, and the final accepted offer was $10.00. Our case and the damages are worth much more than that, IMO. Many heros here, I and the rest of the board owe them a great debt of gratitude and at least some drinks at our party. I hope now I can keep my house.
I'm not clear if this is a settlement or just a first offer. It seems to me like this is just the beginning and that the EC hasn't signed off on this. To me it is just a shot across the bow and we should be getting a lot more than this offer.
Where is this annnouncement or PR? TIA.
The flippers, momos and day traders are gone, they will be back when the stock moves.
June 11, 33 days from now for the AGM. Can you imagine the number of announcements and new contracts by then? Going to be a real celebration there.
I agree. Maybe the naysayers will return to warn us about the lack of a permit, LOL.
Once it closes at $5.00 or above, it's not considered a penny stock anymore and many more insitutions can invest. Not far away now.
Couldn't happen to a better board! Congrats to all long-term holders. Where are the doubters and naysayers today? Special thanks to Zardiw, Rawnoc, Brig, EP and many others who have stood fast throughout. JB is a genius and a winner. We are finally being rewarded for our patience and faith.
William, the only thing I really know about SG's strategy is what they post on their website. IMO, they are following it to a T. You may be right about Seth Ard's work, but I felt that he did a very good job in one of the recent hearings, and I am confident in him having access to more experienced colleagues in the firm who likely supervise his work. I did not, and don't plan to, vote on this matter. I understand that many posters have grown impatient and have become cynical and untrusting of our advisers and advocates. All I can say is that I retain trust in SG and the EC. PJS has outstanding credentials and a fine reputation. I still believe that we are in very good hands and it is important to maintain a positive attitude.
One thing, I wonder what you and others think about our chance of prevailing in a SH meeting and if we indeed have sufficient votes there.
I wouldn't underestimate Seth Ard. First, he was selected by a top firm to join them, which points to his value to the firm. Second, and importantly, I believe that more senior members of the firm, and possibly SS, are well award of his work, likely check it out, make suggestions and may tweak it.
Do we have the votes in the prospective SH meeting? What about TPG and other large holders who may not support the EC?
Does that mean that no settlement will happen, or that the big number settlement won't happen but a smaller settlement will?
I thought that it was posted in the past that NY was very difficult, if not the most difficult state, to get the air permit. That was supposedly the reason for trying to get the permit in NY state first, then it would be much easier to get the permits in other states.
I appreciate your post as well as those of EP. I'm glad you both post, different perspectives are always welcome and useful.
Interesting theory, I sure hope you are right. I suspect that Tmany on this board also have LEH shares as well. That would be like winning the daily double.
Ilenes, you have been an inspiration to the board and a stand-up woman throughout. I admire your courage and contributions and you deserve the best. Thanks for all you do. We will prevail here, with a lot of credit to you as well as others on the board and Masons, Thomas, and others.
I respectfully disagree, I recall that it has already been postponed once. This is an exciting time and I think that the company has a lot to share. They can supplement the AGM with more frequent CCs.
I thought it was a very professional show, with sophisticated, impartial and skilled panelists. Superior to many of the business shows we have in the US. Excellent exposure, just a matter of time before we reach many millions worldwide. This company should grow like topsy.
Agreed. Thanks for all your posts, very constructive and helpful. I only have one kid and one pet, but like JBII, both are of the highest quality. BTW, I hope each of your X's represent at least $10.00 each.
I hope that she doesn't sign but I think she will.
Thanks.
Are all four hedge funds being deposed? I didn't see Appaloosa as being deposed.
What is your reasoning behind that statement? Don't the 3 objections so far have any influence?
Interesting post on the LEHG$ board. Referred to a Bloomberg article early this a.m. whereby certain preferred holders can get up to a 96% recovery on their investment. There were many demonstrators and protestors in front of the banks in Hong Kong which caused the offer to be raised from 60%. Might we try this here?
Thank you, Large Green, we all deserve such a happening. I find your posts supportive and hopeful, and have also given you a Person Mark for all your contributions. Good luck to us all, I am getting more hopeful all the time.
Thank you, William. Enjoy your informative and common sense posts. A Person Mark for you and keep up your constructive contributions.
What is a Volkswagen Moment?
Looks like we are in very good hands with Peter J. Solomon, his company should do very well for us in court.
How about vert standing for vertical, the future direction of our stock, better than P for parabolic!
Where is sdsun?
Does anyone expect anything but negative articles about WAMU in the FDIC lawsuit? More of the same until we prevail.
This board needs a little humor for what we have been through, this case is no laughing matter unless you are on the billing side.
You are right. Can't afford one due to my loss in this stock, lol. Hope to register at Kumon for remedial math.
Correction, 500,0000 shares at 4 cents is $2,000.00
Thanks again. You are more transparent than our adversaries, lol.
Thanks, that's great, I didn't know that. How many seats are there on the BOD?
Do we have the majority of the votes in a shareholders meeting?
I didn't see any mention of an asset valuation in the Blackhorse objection.
Not easy to catch marlin in Texas.
