at the moment, ariads potential should not be valued at only $6 a share, with some analysts predicting a lower future share price! thats absurd!...but, its loud and clear why that is! investors big and small should start demanding change!
"but I'm not about to be chased out of a stock by the manipulative bastards who control the sp,"
think about it, the sp is being manipulated because of the ceo's "what ever it takes for me to stay in power attitude", nothing else.
i am convinced you are an ariad lifer (you have even stated as much). so what you say is a moot point. i challenge you, or any other so called investor in ariad stock, to debate what has transpired since the crash and up to this point, is not strictly based on burger staying in power. dilute, partner, stay the course for years = all for burgers benefit and not for shareholder value or for patients. a three month slow and steady climb in stock price has been almost wiped out in three days because of this blatant abuse of power mongering. there has not been one press release in the past year, in which the stock price rose afterwards, not one!...stay the course? for who?!...the company needs to be sold for everyone to reap the rewards, not just for burger and his merry men.
"I believe it has the ability to go it alone and beyond with the current leadership more specially now than a year ago."
i believe that you and your compadres would still like the company, if run by different management. the only obstacle dividing the longs (while uniting the shorts) is management. imagine how the message boards and the market would feel towards ariad, if they toss out the veggie burger for some select prime.
"It's just a shame that all or most people here share the same goal but only with a different philosophy to get to that goal…jmo."
sure, sell company now and move on to the next adventure in life, or wait years to hopefully, someday, match that b.o. price.
no one truly invested in ariad over the last year, can say they are fine with where the stock price is today. the not concerned attitude is strictly for the message board and not for the investment. who goes to a casino day in and day out, only to break even or lose money? who would exercise day in and day out, if there were no health benefits to gain? a whole year and we are no better in stock price?
judging from burgers interview, i think even he was having a hard time swallowing the b.s. he is trying to force feed investors with. this three year projection is supposed to be a better alternative than an out right sale of the company?! its 2015 and the stock price is almost in the $5 range again. we can clearly see through your deceit, mr. c e o
what a disgrace of a ceo (and md) this burger is. trying to convince investors that we will make a profit in three more years down the road. sure harv, you can stay on as kingpin for three more years, if thats what it takes. heck, why not say profitability will start in 2035, so you can ride the ship with my money until then? after all, we are not astute investors. what do we know?
although its 2015 and we are once again closer to the $5. range because of management alone (increase shareholder value in 2014 anyone?), its safe to say that in your eyes, ariad has not and ultimately will not, ever do any wrong.
stick a fork in that burger! he's DONE!
again?!
"Before you consider moving on, ask a simple question: what company has
a better chance of doubling this year. What could have been is not the issue
anymore, it's the future that counts."
deja vu? could've sworn you stated something similar last year? hope your not setting yourself up for next year as well.
when its all about the message board for some, three years is to short a wait. as for that three year time line, a buyout today could give us a better return than what the share price may be in three years. a no brainer, unless your a once bullied nerd turned ceo, or in it for the attention only a message board can give
this recent news is typical burger ego and the market knows it. news translation from within the mind of the ceo: "I am in it for the power i command in house. lets drag this power trip out as long as possible. besides, i have no outside life."
"No... you, Jess, SS and me will be the last ones here."
now that is about as accurate a statement that i have ever read on ihub! would definitely not bet against it…really :(
may or may not happen next week. better question, how does ariad finance this so called deity molecule when announced? plus 113, plus pona, plus harvey and his minions salary, etc.?...buyout inevitable?
gotta say, you seem astute in your evaluation for ariad and present a fair retrospect of our investments in it.
makes me wonder...on this message board?!…
one for the ages.
2015, and the same endless cycle of back and forth bickering that took place the whole 2014 calendar year. no one will ever back down from their formed opinion on ariad. round and round we go.
predictable...and getting boring.
imo 2015 will be a pivotal year for ariad. knowing now that h.burger is solely in it for the power he commands in house, his judgement calls within the company should come to a head. i can't see an investor like denner staying invested beyond 2015. he is in it for the money and not for the b.s. games of a selfish ceo. as a professional investor like denner, i am sure there will be bigger and better opportunities to invest his money in, if ariad continues to dilute this company just to stay afloat.
from post #43245 0n 1-1-14…eerie deja vu
"ARIAD has all the goodies. The momentum is swinging towards north. The FDA just rescinded their dim witted suspension of Iclusig sales and as a result the pps rose and still rising. Add 113 to this equation plus the next highly awaited molecule and the other indications of pona(i.e GIST, RTC). Any investors, especially institutions, would know where ARIAD is heading from this point on."
safe to say, 2014 might as well not have happened, huh jess"pro"?
i can see that most on the boards don't take the financing of the company to serious. like the old saying, you have to spend money to make money. unfortunately ariad doesn't have the money to spend at its disposal. so what happens if mN is a winner? how do we finance its development? or are you stating that it needs to be a big winner for a reasonable b.o.?
"HB needs to go, the company must be sold, get our value out now, get meds to market sooner, everybody wins."
had i been in the same room with harvey as you were earlier this year, they would have probably needed to escort me out. you let him off to easy
i fail to see how a slow and (hopefully some day) steady climb, is better than a buyout for patients and investors.
thats just another excuse! if this was legit good news it would not drop to negative. no matter what the market is doing. getting rid of harvey one way or another will assure that.
for those who are wondering why this bit of news is not helping ariad today, once again…
for me, this latest move by harvey reeks of an old man's desperate attempt to try and stay in power. can anyone explain how a move like this is greater than what a buyout for patients and shareholders would be?…anyone?…anyone?…
when your invested as a long with a dream to make money, the reality of certain (obvious) factors hurt those chances.
"Amp and everyone, please do give "ignore" a try. Life changing."
no thanks, anonymous message boards are not "my life"

5 down days in a row, looks like ariad has been naughty this year.
this game over at ariad needs to stop. i am not interested with objectivity from posters after an article comes out knocking my earnings down 8%. objectivity towards negative articles is strictly for message board attention. i am interested in making money. these negative ads are hindering that process. who is to blame for that? the ceo! what kind of ceo, after the crash and a target for such articles, does not seek help in realizing the companies goal? how can the shorts have no fear from a company with desperate needs to keep functioning? people want to attack a negative article towards ariad, how about attacking the real issue for such negativity towards ariad. remember mr increase shareholder value from last year? even though the company is in need of money, the buyout rumors don't even phase the shorts anymore. no wonder why my earnings are no better now since last year. the ceo is to blame
"This is a rigged market and shorts have incredible control over the pps until material news, such as an earth shattering new molecule announcement or the unexpected early approval of 113 by FDA."
can those examples help a company with finance problems in a rigged market? i know a buyout or even a legit rumor of a buyout could.
but doesn't this price action also indicate that there is only one viable way out of this mess (a silver lining)? after a terrible year for "shareholder value", a buyout should be the only logical exit. who on the ariad team (including harvey) would argue that now?
from post 57131
"There will only be a BO of Ariad when Harvey says so." - really? who's to say that decision is not being discussed by harvey at the moment? just because harvey hasn't said so yet? by the time he mentions a bo, it will be to late to speculate. why? because it will already be a done deal.
"It's just an exercise in futility to mention it all the time." - really? its all speculation, just as any speculation you have towards the companies success. why should your speculation be the only viable thought on ariads future?
you loading up again huh? getting ready for the buyout?

In my opinion these results show there is every reason to believe they are on a short list for potential buyout.
JMPOM
correct! but "potential or it might happen, some time in the future", is not a guarantee in increasing ones financial statement! a buyout is! why is that so hard to understand from investors that want a sure thing?
"they're seeing the potential of ARIA to be traded over $100s range in a few years"
really?!...that statement in itself is absurd! why? because its not a guarantee! if it were that easy to predict a financial outcome, everyone would be wealthy. hell, if that were the case, why wouldn't the whole investing and non investing community take stake in ariad?!?
sign me up for a few more years because a select few on this board can see the future? wow
"I don't want any buyout now or in the near future"
a buyout means a guarantee increase in your financial investment. holding out on hopes that a speculative bio as ariad, will have their share price amount to more than a buyout price, is not a guarantee. what kind of investor does not want a guarantee to increase their financial holdings?…absurd and an illogical investment strategy.
