Not exactly making a strong statement about the history of Drake Gold management...I'd submit many of us could have done better than previous "management", unless of course this was nothing but the revolving shell game that only really pays a couple of people - that, of course, have moved on - apparently like the few supporters that had remained.
Many of us see what this remains to be, which is what it always has been. Nothing but a way for a few people to sell shares of stock, pump it up, sell shares, and move on the their next year - wash, rinse, repeat.
Is Drake Gold still listed as a HOT STOCK on the Millionaires Board? How many millionaires are remaining there, following that kind of vision and expertise?
Considering the financial crisis our country is in right now - this is nothing but a small sad chapter in a few people's lives. A lot of people doing much worse than a mere lesson learned. Cheers.
Um, here's a question. Where is the barge carrying the big scooper thingy? Are we there yet, captain?!?
lol.
"The only thing he said different was; I am reluctant to discuss past management decisions, subcontractor/supplier relationships."
Hmm, I wonder why this would be? lol...
Just a note that I have resigned as moderator of this board. I do not have the time, nor the interest to moderate at this time, with football and work considerations taking over. Good luck to all - I have PM'ed admin about it. Cheers!
Sorry for being absent the past few days. Will check on things and post later - possibly changing moderatorship, or adding/subtracting. Very busy right now, and not doing any good here. More later. Thanks.
I certainly don't take issue with people who believed Clayton a few times, I've seen it happen more than a few, here and before. I did it, more than once. But I do take issue with the few that could not ever allow for anything other than what he said to be possible to the point of ridiculing those with a differing opinion. And now he is officially gone and out of the picture with his poor-me signoff. Too bad there are so many other poor-me's, thanks to his antics in yet another failure.
Of course, the sky still remains the limit for this "company."
You certainly have that right. For many here, we realize how sadly true that is, when you take a look at the performance - or lack thereof - of this company...in all of it's forms and shells.
My two favorite parts of the "new management" blogging...
"At that time equipment was slated for delivery to Georgia in the month of June 2008."
Still NO WORD whatsoever on why they have so badly missed the mark on this - and I'd think it would be clear to most now that this was complete B.S. Perhaps, it was delivered to the U.S. corporate office in the trailer park by mistake?
and this, which could preclude virtually anything for the future -
"CONCLUSIONS
In this vein we have restructured several aspects of Drake’s core business and will announce these changes as they reach their respective stages of completion."
Clayton's tearful goodbye is as much BS as it is ridiculous. Of course, he is now gone, will soon be taking his promotors along with him to his next venture, which will most likely pan out just like the other ones he could never make pan out - other than to print shares, sell them, take a salary, and move on. One would think by all this time, with all his failed ventures, and mistakes made, a few people would get the real picture. Some, sadly, cannot, for whatever reason.
The funniest thing was him crying about all the negativity that came his way during his tenure. I wonder why negativity came his way? lol...
Well, IMO, common sense would tell me that a rising dollar value would mean a negative outlook for inflation-hedging commodities like gold.
The good thing is that this company doesn't seem to be a real gold mining company, and probably will be changing business focus again in the near future, so anything is possible, with or without a rising/dropping dollar.
You can believe this, the people being singled out here over the past few hundred posts are not bashers without cause. It never ceases to amaze me when a new group of buyers flock into a stock together to try to turn a fast buck, and clutter up a posting board by ridiculing anyone with experience in the stock that talks in reality and about problems...then posts about three "Whee! To the MOOOON" posts.
There is far more negative history than positive here, and there is no real proof of anything common sensical about the purchase of another company (with no verifiable patents, by the way) by giving them .001 shares of stock in the company that is buying them - while at the same time saying they are buying back stock to help the outstanding shares. Issuing a bazillion shares to purchase something, while talking about reducing shares seems a little contrary, doesn't it?
At any rate, let's try to keep this somewhat civil around here. Supporters show a little respect for those that have experience here (and mostly have been here longer than you have been), and neighsayers have tolerance for the newly-excited.
Cheers.
Is there any verifiable evidence of anything regarding patents for this company? There really has not been much to see regarding it at all - it would help if we could confirm anything of this nature.
No commentary for quite a while from Pags on the advertising selling for the network airing of the show. I'm guessing there's a good reason for that.
I realize many of the new people here don't care too much about anything other than a quick buck, but SOME DD should be required to sink in a lot of cash, shouldn't it?
GLTA.
Looks like Mike just took care of a cleaning a few new fish. Should be quite the dinner for him tonight...
Hey, Mark, while you're on that ship, look out over the horizon and see if you can find our lost machinery, which apparently is eternally out to sea.
Thanks in advance - lol.
Would not surprise me at all that management might not know how to spell the company they are supposedly asking us to believe they are purchasing - with shares of our company, of course, when they are supposedly reducing shares.
Ahem.
Sounds like the board will soon return to a more reasonable pace...lol.
I'm curious - has any information from the company been issued that states what equipment other than the Dove machine that is apparently lost at sea is coming to either property in question? If so, where is it coming from and how much does it cost?
Interesting - quick take:
Equipment was supposed to be in GA on June 1. Not here yet.
(Okay...is this acceptable at face value to anyone, with no more explanation?)
They get permit for 20 acres now. (Meaning they have a permit of some kind for 20 acres? Or they are getting one? What kind of permit?)
Hope to have all permits when the equipment gets here (More permits? Why isn't there solid info on when the equipment will get here after two months of tardiness?)
Arizona - they have permit there and are waiting on equipment. (What equipment? Where is that equipment coming from? What are the permits for?)
They are going to keep investors up to date now? (Okay, whatever...).
I'm sure some of this has been hinted at and touched on in blogs past. It just sounds a little blurry at this point. Specifics would be great, but of course there still don't seem to be any.
Thanks for the report, Dragon Man, seriously. I do plan on e-mailing Drake with my follow up questions. Clayton is pretty good at making things sound good in a phone call, no doubt. He has many believers based on just such phone calls. The e-mails? That's a little tougher to massage later.
I have to say, I am pretty skeptical about this Stemtronics scenario. The only references to this company on Google are the PR put out by Pagnano. For a real Stem Cell Research Company that supposedly holds patents, I would think there would be some links other than that. Common sense would tell us that, wouldn't it?
And how did this whole thing come about? The acquisition is being made by giving that company shares in WLE to pay for it, and at the same time the company is trying to reduce shares?
I just don't understand this from a company with so little market value to begin with. I hope things go off, to be sure, but there is much to be puzzled about.
Ok, guys, this is getting a little ridiculous. redfisher, let's hold the postings down a little - I understand your point of making them, but it has gone past just making sure people know what's going on. And I would ask that the new guys/gals that are here hold down the single "whee" type posts to a degree, although I understand why those are being made, too.
The past has been horrible for shareholders here, and who knows about the future? Let's keep this on track and not have this turn into a flame war. I want to keep the posts on board, but we'll have to clean things up quickly if this continues.
Let's calm down, ok?
DRCAL, nobody here or elsewhere was asked to expect any kind of wait for the technology to take off and produce revenue. Quite the opposite, in fact. We were told to expect contracts and revenues to come very quickly - and that was one of the main reasons for the new construction - which cost the company dearly and is still something I (and others) are both mystified and upset about.
The main focus of this company had little to nothing to do with the public, IMO. It was going to be production of product for clients - and was supposed to have happened LONG ago. I mean long as in a couple of years or so, in this case, and definitely within the past year.
And nothing at all has come from it. Nothing. That is either incompetence or an outright lie. It's up to each of us to decide which. And either way, there are many that have lost plenty here.
back2, a sincere thanks for your post. Although I know that most of what I post in this forum is in theory not helpful to my selfish bottom line, it remains what I think is important in the bigger picture. Agendas are not my thing, but relationships are important to me in working to a hopeful successful future. I really appreciate your comment, and best of luck to you - and most others here.
Hey, kids...just added MOMO and brikk as assistants on the board. I have no knowledge of what they are all about, other than they are new on the scene and excited, for what I assume are reasons all about making some coin. I know GoldenZ and his boys were here a while back and wanted to make a run with things - he has been long gone for awhile.
Just keeping everyone informed of exactly what's going on here. A serious wish of good luck to all. Cheers!
Yeah, J...still here, watching the second full group of investors buy into this idea since I've been a long.
Pretty solid organized bunch pushing this one now - should be an interesting couple of weeks ahead.
Pretty creative way to gain excitement this time, don't you agree? Could be some thick pudding when the proof comes to roost, though, as some of us know. Have to add a couple of the new guys to the moderatorship, so we can really try and run this up over the next couple of weeks.
Cheers.
Wow, have had three people (so far) today wanting to either take over the board or become assistants. Pretty sure that tells me something about the next few weeks (or days) here...ha.
At any rate, I will probably add one or two to help the new blood keep excited about "things." Will be in touch, you guys.
That's ok, let's see how this one goes. I've been around this for quite a while...seen 'em come and go. I'll watch things for awhile, if I get bored and you're still around down the road, we'll see. This is a pretty entertaining game, here, though.
Good luck to you guys.
Man oh man, what a board this is...lol. Mike truly is a master of drawing in new eyes, I will say that. Too bad he has never been able to capitalize on anything solid of a business nature.
At least it's something different, for a while, eh? Carry, on, new board mates.
A gain on five times the usual volume - say what you want but a gain plus massive volume is a positive thing.
I think your opinion is dead on, however, I would add one more group to the mix. I think there are a handful of individuals that are not necessarily "good" people and are in this to make money at other's expense, to the point of deceiving the investing public.
This is nothing new, those that support the company usually only say the naysayers are the bad people, and vice-versa to a degree. I would quite happily fall into the #1 category, I assure you - I just don't think it will ever happen, and I have taken some of the current and past info and events personally. Since I don't dabble much of my investing $$ in penny stocks, my attention can remain quite focused on certain players in my hobby arena. I see nothing wrong with keeping track of the activities of certain people who have cost me money, by leading me (and others) on with promises that have proven time and time again to be at best false, and at worst outright lies.
But again, only time will tell. Cheers to you.
For some of us, it's hardly day to day, and it never mirrors any kind of performance scenario - or lack thereof. Some just care about the antics of others, when continuing on down the path to hopeful financial security, and have an interest in what their roles or reasons are for the posts they make. Much like, I guess, your assessment of why some of us continue to post negativity (more like reality, of course) here after all this time. Yes, some of us continue to hold their empty bags, because they cannot hope to recoup anything of significance at the levels we remain at. Some of us want to keep track of what some people, and the people that support them, are up to, because it makes us better informed investors now and in the future. Especially for those of us to spend any time and money messing around with penny stocks at all, which is another discussion for another day.
It can be as simple as that - it doesn't have to be insidious, or a fearful thing, unless a person has their own agenda and is a part of the issue to begin with.
Mastercraft, for the record, I do not consider you to be one of those individuals.
Don't worry about it, we can only assume from experience that the shell is lurking "behind the scenes," right? I don't pretend to know what these people are up to, other than to know that they have not followed through with anything of substance for a very long time - both now, and in the recent (and long, FWIW) past. I don't remember much of management that is still in place from the establishment of this shell, so I assume, yes, assume, that they have moved on to something else. And I base the shell comment on the performance and history (that continues to be written now) of Clayton Smith. Of course I was speaking a little tongue in cheek, for those that care...
Of course, only a select few here seem to know the true, story, right? And it's only those positive on what COULD happen, that eternal Drake Gold Some Day, right? Apparently, we are now down to mystical secret behind the scenes workings, that can be leaked and hinted at by those same people. Not all the supporters seem that way, but there remain a couple of steadfast ones.
How hot is the dripping wax on that candle, BTW?
"Luckily, the information by a number of posters who think Drake is a scam has been proven false time and time again"
Wow, I had to re-read that one a time or two to see if it was really there. You have GOT to be kidding me. Perhaps - and I do mean perhaps - had the company actually followed through with one thing that that PR'ed that they were going to do, then that comment would have an ounce of truth to it.
The fact is, the only things that have really gone on here ARE behind the scenes, because NOTHING has gone on here in front of the scenes.
It would certainly make sense that a new management group would be taking over, since the old one(s) have essentially packed up and moved on to their next shell. My only real curiosity with this particular chameleon shell company, is what it will turn into next.
It's really too bad that this company had not always been a SILENT, stand still one that was (and is) pumped by a select few with personal financial interest in keeping the story going. That would have saved some people some money, at least.
Heya, zentman, long time no see. Nothing at all has changed here from those days, although Clayton is in the process of moving on, at least in a real role with the company. Waiting to see what new shell company he "invests" in and turns into something else.
As of now, we are awaiting word on whether some Dove heavy machinery is going to be delivered to a trailer park somewhere...lol. Sad laugh, believe me.
Any updates on the delivery of the machinery, that was coming over a month ago? Never mind...
News: Ballard and IdaTech Sign Supply Agreement for Extended Runtime Solution in Backup Power Market
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (NASDAQ: BLDP) and IdaTech LLC today announced they have signed a three-year supply agreement under which Ballard will provide a fuel cell product for integration into IdaTech's next generation of ElectraGen(TM) system. This will create 3kW and 5kW methanol-fuelled backup power solutions offering days (rather than hours) of extended runtime capability, suitable for a broad range of sites within the wireless telecom industry.
"This supply agreement for ElectraGen(TM) enhances our position as fuel cell supplier of choice in the industry," said John Sheridan, Ballard's President and CEO. "And, integration of our fuel cells into higher power backup power products will help accelerate adoption of fuel cells by wireless telecom service providers."
The ElectraGen(TM) product has been in trials with several wireless telecom companies having a need to deploy backup power solutions in remote locations with extended runtime capability. Following validation of product performance, Ballard's fuel cell product will be integrated into the next generation 3kW and 5kW ElectraGen(TM) units, with commercial release scheduled for 2009. Ballard and IdaTech believe there is potential for up to 5,000 product shipments over the full term of the agreement.
A key to providing long runtime capability is the use of an alternative fuelling approach in which IdaTech's reforming technology generates on-demand high purity hydrogen from liquid methanol. Backup power solutions utilizing this fuel cell technology deliver a number of significant advantages over conventional batteries and diesel generators, including: higher reliability over a wide range of operating conditions; lower maintenance costs; longer operating life; reduced size, weight, installation footprint and environmental impact.
Hal Koyama, IdaTech's Chief Executive Officer stated, "We are witnessing substantial interest in a fuel cell solution addressing extended runtime backup power requirements within the wireless telecom industry. The decision to use Ballard's fuel cells in higher power backup products demonstrates our confidence in the associated technical performance, reliability and cost advantages. This contract also builds on our prior commitment to use Ballard's fuel cells in our 250 watt iGen(TM) power supply product for backup and auxiliary power solutions."

Yeah, it's the Market Makers that are holding down the progress of this "company"...lol.
Guessing Clayton needed lunch money today.
While your point is well taken, NP, MDSO was never planned to be on a CBS prime time lineup. It was only reported to be shown on Saturday (or Sunday, I forget) afternoons before the PGA events each week. And it was only in some of the major markets, which was dependent upon selling advertising in those markets, I think by the national rep that was hired to fill the time.
Again, not saying any of it is true, just what has been reported. And we all know the story there, or some do, at least.
Another topic he responded to - my ongoing questioning on the CBS "deal(s)". He said that they have sold 60% of the advertising to date, and are still selling the rest. When it is all sold, they will move on airing the show. He maintains Sept/Oct is a better time for the airing - which I don't necessarily understand, but that's what he said.
Again - I have no direct pipeline, nor am I representing any of this as factual. Just passing along info he responds to.
Cheers.
According to Pagnano, the buy back started yesterday - 100M shares. I have no verification of that, just reporting what he communicated to me. Looked like there was more volume than that on the chart, so I guess it's possible.
IMO, there is an obvious reason the supporters (or whatever they really are here) blast everything negative or honest about the company, and scream about people calling IR for their info. IR is nothing more than hired hands who have been paid shares of stock for their efforts, and will not get paid anything unless the share price holds long enough for them to cash out. These people were the biggest supporters and pumpers of the company early on, making outrageous claims and predictions, very little of which ever happened. Of course they will tell you something promising, there's no reason for them not to, unless they can't even make something up.
I always get suspicious of those that are SO against anything negative, and refuse to allow for anything bad to be talked about on these boards. To frankly discuss issues, and hold company management responsible for the good and bad can only help a real company in the long run. Most here, at this point, can now see what is really going on, both here and with the "company."
Seriously, we are purchasing a company by selling the worthless shares of this company, to facilitate an equity stake in repurchasing shares of this company.
That seems pretty far-fetched, even for this company.
