if you waited this long one would seem to have to see this all the way to its conclusion... i'm long since 09' made and lost a small fortune along the way but still believe this gets back to 20 based on TAM in Europe
exactly prophylactic .. i am off label and i will pay 300 per month if need be .. my 60 year old friend had a sudden heart attack 3 weeks ago .. no heart beat no pulse no symptoms
because i've been long since 09' i'm thinking barring an illness which i pray is not the case .. something bad coming down the pike that the board is holding him accountable for ? hope i'm wrong but there is too much in the offing to ride off into the sunset just yet .. early 2022 perhaps but this seems fishy pun intended because i've been long since 09'
who would take $18 pps right now for their shares? i am currently long 65k shares as low as 1.6 on some and as high as 23 on some. i've owned this stock since 2009...i've been taking 4 g's of vascepa for several years and fully understand its pleotropic effects beyond lowering tryg's as my A1C is down considerably since about 6 months into the initial prescription. my long winded point is i know the value to the world is well beyond 18 bucks a share but i have a tough time seeing amarin the company navigating the euro landscape let alone figure out its US market niche alone.
Money...they are rolling out Germany first ...nobody will get too excited because the execution in the US has been suboptimal why would Germany be different?
I've noticed :) I've been long since November 09 I need therapy..ptsd
so i've been on 4 g's of vascepa for 5+ years now off label. I just had a friend who had a massive stroke 3 weeks ago type 2 DM .. 50 year smoker questionable diet. He is a VA patient couldn't get on vascepa? Why in the world isn't everyone over 40 years old on Vascepa? I guarantee you my primary who is Harvard trained who did a cardiology internship doesn't know the difference between EPA and DHA regarding CVE. Looks like my UHC vascepa script is going away but i will find away to take 4 g's daily regardless of monthly cost .. why wouldn't I at the age of 60?! the safety profile is placebo ish my word what has Du done?????
Thanks PD that's what I'm thinking no fasting next labs and get my French fry and milkshake fix on ..thanks for the help
That's the problem I didn't have high Trigs but borderline high A1C
No I'm not on a statin..years ago I talked my doc into its pleotropic effects since I had borderline high A1C. I suggested prescribe vascepa instead of metformin and sure enough my A1C is in very low 6s
Thanks PD but how do I qualify now that my lipids are stellar?
Yeah UHC said they will not offer Vascepa for me anymore oddly they will pay for fibrates and generic lovaza...something crazy is going on I've been on vascepa for 4 years
wellness visits are down since last spike in covid around December .. insurance companies not educated to know the difference between generic, lovaza and the real thing ... not surprised by script weakness... lots of headwinds in the US market it is very difficult to alter the paradigm that the generics aren't necessarily a good thing or equivalent. this is all about the insurance companies and doc education
SV spews garbage
Healing prayers Montana for you and your wife
I use optum rx off label
while seemingly everyone is bitching about management, legal system, Niessen, generics, EU timing, GIA, etc i'm buying the hell out of this on the dips under 5.. that's all i have control over today
Well done Pharmacy!
Retired, we have a drug that reduces MACE at least 25% on top of statins and better the longer you are on Vascepa. We have a NNT around 19 .. we know it reduces or at least slows the progression of arterial plaque and also stabilizes it. It is SOC in the diabetic type 2 community and over the weekend we know it at the very least mitigates covid symptoms systemically including lungs. it appears without me being a medical researcher that this prophylactically will make anything inflammation related better not necessarily cure it but it will make it better so i scratch my head as to why it sits around 5? the DCF modelling of any of my other bio's would have this in the 20's today. easy market cap of 10 billion when considering ROW rev's .. its insane yet i stay because i'm intrigued by how this turns out in a couple of years and i want to be interviewed for the netflix documentary :)
I know this won't happen but why isn't vascepa used prophylatically for all hospital workers and everyone in a nursing home given its safety profile?
Just finished watching Kevin Conroy the CEO of EXAS on mad money. For those who haven't seen what a CEO of a biotech looks like with half the the arrows in his quiver that Mr. Thero enjoys yet pounds the table with conviction and passion about his company please watch this spot.
Every doc I know is price sensitive almost apologetic about what a script will cost even though it saves or adds to their life. Unlike most items the average adult purchases or consumes
Next scary month is December when retail and fund investors will dump to offset any other gains against taxes.
At 4 i see people like myself selling to offset gains in another stocks but getting back in after 30 to enjoy whatever ride Europe or ROW takes us ... i sold a chunk last week and will be back in the fray asap jmho .. enjoy your weekend
Combo sounds great! what's the pill burden .. i swallow 4 vascepa's a day they can be a throat full .. how much bigger would they be with statin inside?
So if i'm JT and the BOD i want to explore all avenues to get the best price in a BO/partner.. we all agree on this.. in other words what else is out there for me to use as leverage? can the big name i hired for Europe create this leverage? can i posture GIA and be taken seriously with this big name? is there yet another indication still yet to be revealed soon that creates more leverage i.e. NASH?
The DU process screwed us I'm not casting doubt on JT i think he is savvy now the question is how does he play this hand he has been dealt and still get a good share of the pot?
I just never had the comfort with all the intangibles outside the drugs efficacy. Kennedy was selling stock when others weren't. JZ was a car salesmen. FDA was slow or inconsistent. The DU debacle..the mineral oil ad naseum but I've never been on the ground floor with a better drug. Now I hope it gets the chance globally to minimize pain, suffering and death. I take vascepa so perhaps it's what the plan was along :)
yes i bought in the 4's end of march and love the 5's .. i'm sorry over the panel but believe this has an excellent future ROW.. i own over 60k shares and have been long since 09'.. craziest arse biotech i've ever seen vis a vi efficaciousness; safety profile and population in SOC to PPS
I've owned amrn since 09' and I've been on 4 g's daily for 2.5 years off label my A1C has been the most remarkable difference. Having said this, I often wonder how they arrived at the therapeutic dose? if 4 g's is good is 6 g's better?
Will we know who the judges are on September 2nd? If they are to our liking, wouldn't that in and of itself be needle moving event? Tia
No covid for me 2 years on vascepa...knock on wood
Thanks funny thought I had lost my mind...the quantification is remarkable

holy smokes .. tomorrow may be huge PPS wise
I agree cardio...safety profile on this drug is superb I'm disappointed but that's been my experience with this company lately. It could and should be a better ad hopefully they evolve
HK, I got the PCI cost from researchers at Duke Medical School and the CABG # from AHA obviously these vary by region and hospital but I didn't take the high's... from my research it was middle of the road … the savings could be greater if you factor in rehab for the CABG patients and time off work, etc.. quality adjusted life years is off the charts on this study let alone all the other wonderful RRR's this is such a beautiful drug with a safety profile that allows every prescriber to sleep well at night.
