and that's the saddest part. OStock's nss was SOOOOO blatant..yet..nothing to resolve it.
ROTFLMAO :) Awesome. ((hugs))
we need more carriers.
really. :)
yeah..the doggie body language is just awesome :)
Hi gang!! Been gone a while.. work is a good thing..
Here's my girls...doing what they do..
guess we find out next week
between that and the CUSIP cluster...hmmmm
Carbonite is great. And with macs, Time Machine is a simple, automated archiving process. No excuse to not have a backup these days, especially on a Mac :)
wish I was that relaxed ;)
happy doggie. Not mine..
Not sure. Food, inc is a documentary movie.
I'd you haven't seen Food, Inc. add it to the list.
We do what we can. Only buy organic. Only buy local organic meat etc. if its in a package with more that 5 ingredients, I don't eat it. If its got high fructose I don't eat it. We don't eat fast food. When we eat out, we support locally owned. Never eat at a chain place. It really doesn't cost that much more, and we eat way less because it's GOOD food, not nutrient-stripped garbage.
It's stunning how much people don't know how awful that company is.
I'd suggest going to Costco and getting either an 8 gig one, or an external hard drive. I'd you buy a new Mac laptop, the spoke apple store will transfer data.
If you want to get a PC, the new Micorosft retail stores are GREAT. you can get a machine WITHOUT. A bunch of Preinstalled bs on it, and they'll transfer data as well. You'll still have to reinstall apps tho.
It's days are past numbered. Make sure you have Carbonite or some other data backup system, and go get a new machine :))
There's a number if great GMO related blogs out there. Just search for GMO-awareness. That'll bring some up. It's an epidemic that is destroying this country.
Awww..thanks!! We'll get one :))) In the meantime..here's Holly singing for everyone :)
amen :)
so what exactly DO we have, other than a 95% loss of value? infuriating.
ever f'n last one of them should be made illegal.
argh..what a load of crapola :((
I'm glad Anna's ok.. I only met her once, but I liked her. Wonder where/what Pete's up to.
just one guess amongst many. Sure has been a sad disappointment.
looks pretty similar to the Zerona thing. Is Daffy even still in business?
:) The good old days.. haha
ya had to bring up GVRP, did ya?
:))))
TDW pretty much said to take a walk..
"Mr. xxxx
As previously stated, all of our clients' shares are held electronically in street name at DTCC. We are not able to facilitate your request for a stock certificate at this time.
Furthermore, you have previously been advised of our firm¿s position on this matter. In the absence of any change to the current circumstances surrounding BCIT, this issue will not be revisited. If you feel the need to pursue this further, you must do so outside of TD Ameritrade."

imvho.. he DID give up somewhat by NOT doing that little bit extra to keep from being delisted. While I'm an adamant supported of the Carlton effort, it boggles my mind that IF Megas did indeed spend $800k, why not that little bit more to keep filings current???? He basically handed the brokers, SEC, et.al. the PERFECT excuse to ignore us. Had the stock NOT been revoked (YES..I know..it's not that big of a deal, according to some, to get it reinstated), the ball would be WAYYY more in our court.
this is a FUNDEMENTAL issue. The brokers all also hiding behind the 'this stock is delisted' FACT. I really wonder if Megas has any regrets about his 'wanker' letter, as well as giving up and not doing what needed to be done to keep BCIT, at a minimum, LISTED. I think it sure would make the cause a lot more legitimate (not withstanding the 'you sold us something you didn't have' argument).
I got the exact same canned response.
yup..same bs they told me.
at least SEC is doing other stuff...

Ditto.. TD let's you contact them directly when you're logged in.
Thought so. Seems like they really just want to see what kind of response the brokers give.
TDWaterhouse lets you contact them directly once logged in, so that may be an option instead of just an email with your account number. You could always just email that response back to the Brits.
It will be interesting to see what they respond.
Of course, it does seem to let the brokers off the hook for their crimes by simply giving you your money back (with interest, I assume).
been too long :)
from what I remember of the lawsuit, they wanted trade confirmations, which had account #'s on it as well..
as much as I want compensation and the stock to trade, I suppose I'd settle for just getting my money back (with 6 years of appropriate interest, of course)
