As long as revenues keep growing, who cares. Besides, $5.7 million in new non-Safeend salaries must be building a lot of new business!
So we bought a company without knowing the real numbers?? Yep, time for a new CEO.
Thank you for the gift!! DoD is all that matters, relax.
TheWizard
Where's the 'coming out' announcement from NSA week? I like the Safend news so far but that's not the type of 'coming out' news I was expecting. I sure hope Steven meant something else, with revenues!
Slog on.

Verisign CFO resigns...perhaps he's ready to join the next big up-and-comer company! Perhaps needs to be on-hand before big news in 2 weeks? ;o)
170? Wow. Wasn't it just 135 last quarter, or am I remembering Q4 instead?
Great to see the revs/billings increasing. Not concerned with earnings yet.
Article on .secure, separate internet.....
I read similar article today in my local paper but can't seem to find it fully on-line. This one is the closest. Anyway, thought it was interesting in that it seems like a TPM world where Wave could flourish. I'm sure this has been discussed here before, although I don't remember it personally.

Are info letters to banks, etc a waste of time?
Please see post I'm responding to. Maybe the headline scared people into thinking I was talking about the stock and not to bother reading, ha.
Thx in advance!
Is this a waste of time?
Maybe I'm a bit naive but feel like I need to start pushing information however I can. Therefore, I wrote the below email to my bank, for starters, and as simply as possible. I'm just curious if someone can maybe write a better elevator pitch and the rest of us can start using it in a similar fashion, assuming you don't feel it's just a waste of time. I think we could really start educating in the cracks and holes possibly. Waste of time?

First, forward this to your IT personnel in charge of on-line security.
Hi,
I've been a loyal, and on-line, customer for a very long time. As you've heard in the news recently, large companies and the gov't have easily had their servers hacked into. I'm getting very concerned of my personal information being on-line, especially on your servers, as all companies are ignoring solutions that are already out in the market place. Please take action to implement device authentication with hardware, not software! This can be done by utilizing Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs), which are in hundreds of millions of computers already. I won't bore you with details, but I sure hope you take action soon. Software is not cutting it!!
May I suggest you talk to people at the Trusted Computing Group (http://www.trustedcomputinggroup.org/), or to the leaders in this better level of security, at www.wave.com. Industry leaders like General Motors, BASF, and Price Waterhouse are already using Wave's technology.
Don't be part of the insanity of trying to use solutions we know will never cut it.
Thanks for your time and concern. I will be watching <bank name>'s actions on this closely, and will quickly switch to a competitor that incorporates device authentication with hardware.
Regards,
<name>
ExPat, with my patience wearing down, no, make that beaten down, I'd say my loyalty can bought today for about $6/share. And that's really saying something considering I was a super optimistic one (just ask my friends and family who got invested, ha).
Hopefully (there's that damn phrase again) we'll get some trending of real news and my loyalty buyout can go back to over $10. ;o)
Keep doing what you do. Much appreciated.
D&O, glad to see you still around, soaking up the misery with the rest of us. :o)
TheWiz
Maybe RSA gets so desperate to salvage their reputation, that they announce they are going to hardware security and are buying an unknown company for $10 per share. ;o)
Orda, I agree. Based on the silence in this perfect storm, SKS must be holding back his one piece of news for next week. Give us a bone!
TheWiz
40 million is just the SecureID hardware token users...there's 250 million SecureID software users! As I said in previous post, it's the perfect storm and it ain't gettin' no perfecter! ;o)
With the beating that RSA SecureID software has taken lately, wouldn't you think some of those 250 million users would have bosses that would start calling Wave? or Wave calling them? If we can't increase sales in this environment, we may as well just let someone buy us cheap. It is the perfect storm!

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but the big BASF deal isn't even included in the Q1 numbers, so surely the SP should hold just fine, right?
Interesting NSA article........so they're in the middle of building/revamping 3 whole data centers?? Hmmm, maybe building Wave into the new architecture perhaps?
http://informationweek.com/news/government/leadership/229401971?cid=nl_IW_govt_2011-04-21_html
Very interesting indeed. And let's not forget Wave's current employee Mr. Talbox just recently came from Booz Allen, not to mention the previous dot searching>>>> (I like this one) http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=59068978
Man, it's is friggin' happening! Can't you just feel it?!

Ummmm, odds they are using Wave, or going to use Wave? ;o)
Validation, Validation, Validation!
Sure is great feeling comfortable with this investment, hey jermart?!
TheWiz
Can anyone explain the short 'reasoning' to me? I truly don't understand the risk/reward here. This company is not going bankrupt and will show a profit very shortly just based on current business, imho. So, why in the world would shorts not cover?
Either way, this all stinks of manipulation lately, unless the negative sentiment on tech stocks is truly that bad.
TheWiz
Just thinking out loud for a moment....is it possible Wave was able to wrap up 3 LARGE companies because these companies have many dealings with the govt and they saw the writing on the wall? I haven't looked into their gov't relations yet, but just wondering if that's a nuke behind the curtain and not just a powder keg. ;o)
Validation, Validation, Validation! Nothing else to say, especially from April Jerms.
TheWiz
All I know is this...Validation, Validation, Validation..by 3 LARGE companies! Tip of the iceberg. Sure it may be years, but it's only a matter of time before large companies that are secure require all of their thousands of vendors to be hardware secured, no?
No matter. Great job Steven. Keep the flow coming!
TheWizard
PS. I can't believe this stock is below $3.50-3.80 range. Talk about a no-brainer.
RE: shorts.....Simply amazing, huh?
Geez, they are either riskier than we are, or much smarter, ha. One of us is apparently wrong. ;o)
I say it's pretty darn good too. We've gone from about $3 million to $30 million in 5 years. I'll gladly take $300 million in the next 5! ;o)
When it comes right down to it, I just remind myself that GM AND PWC are each going to do 150,000 units and that's going to cascade to a whole bunch of new sales in my opinion. Validation, validation, validation has always been the key (at least to me).
Let's live long and prosper! (starting soon I hope, ha)
TheWizard
It's amazing how much they can manipulate price so as to give the most runway over the next week to cover. This is an easy 10% gainer in a week. Wish I had some powder!
OT: Hey D&O! Yeah, that sucker moved from like 11 to 26 during a March cruise of the internet bubble (of course,ha). Unfortunately, I've been trying like crazy to get it to duplicate that feat the last 7 cruises, LOL. And now that the wife is sick of cruising, I will need to find other means to make the price jump! ;o)
Hope all is well!

$5.05 on the CNBC Ticker!
Is everyone forgetting that we had a huge day on Monday on no news?
Was it related to the late notice Needham presentation? Was it related to the CNBC invite (and/or deal)? Was it related to the gov't identity link? Was it related to a deal that won't be known for another month?
I sure don't know, but I like the coincidences this week!
TheWiz
Awk...oops! Sorry about that..I later realized I was actually entering annual earnings when I should've been entering quarterly earnings (in my .xls). Silly me.
Projections chit chat.....
I know revs are going to be the most important thing to look at, but let me get this straight, if you will......if Wave has just $4 million in earnings for 2011, with a PE of 50 (easily doable imho), we're looking at about $10/share, right?
Is it just me or do those earnings seem easy based on what we're expecting? Btw, I'm expecting $10/share by summer actually. ;o)
TheWiz
PS. This cnbc thing is very interesting, indeed, especially with the high volume gain on Monday and the late notice Needham event.
Thanks Weby! Yeah, 'unfavorable offer' and 'strong hands' are very subjective, ha. I wonder who is really 'strong' at $10/share. ;o)
Wave B shares enough?.........
.
This topic came up the other day and I couldn't quite remember where it last stood. Meaning, if Spragues et al wanted to stop a buyout, they had enough votes to do so (with B shares included). Is that still a possible case?
Sorry if I'm missing the obvious, but haven't thought or read about this in a very long time.
Thx!

Any chance the Obama team was waiting for the auto 'deal' to be validated before announcing these big id plans?
And if this is a real leak of a true link, this thing is probably going to fly end of day here. Else, the day traders will dump and we'll head back to $4.
But I'm glad following my hunch, like others, that news is/was coming in early January. ;o)

Wave Systems Spikes On Obama’s Plans for a New Internet Identification System
Per the post I'm replying to...shouldn't we possibly get a similar auto-maker announcement with PWC? Afterall, they were only 35k seats into a 150k seat total. Just curious.
TheWiz
Can anyone give me a good reason why Steven would release this news at the end of the year if he did NOT have another major release to follow in early January? Simply to help some credibility on his part of having announcement by year end? I don't think so. I'm almost willing to bet major news is coming, and it's coming early. Otherwise, this seems like bad timing, unless there's a reason I'm not thinking of.
Having said that, I'm kinda hoping we drop below $3.50 to trigger my greed, sell all petty positions, and pick up even more. ;o)
Happy New Year!
TheWiz
I agree. For SKS to release news of this magnitude at the end of the year, while the market is basically sleeping, tells me bigger and better is coming, and I believe it's soon too.
TheWiz
Thx for the birthday present Steven! I think this news of validation is more important than any other, at least to me. We have nowhere to go but up, and makes the waiting an extra 3 months here, 5 months there, much easier for the next news.
Happy New Year!
