I often wonder if the real issue some have with Dr. DeCosta is his comprehensive knowledge not only of mining geology but of the offshore NSS’rs and their minions.
Goldstrike is exactly right. That was the breaking point for me with respect to Chapin. He revealed himself as nothing but a pure bully plain and simple. I don't necessarily believe DeCosta has any degree of rationality or objectivity left with respect to this investment, but given all the time and effort he puts into this he deserved better treatment...Much better, given how in the dentist's eyes the BOD is genius and has never done anything wrong in a 15 year plan of making us rich.
Apologies were subsequently made but I'm certain that was because Greg was commanded to do so. It is unfortunate we have such characters attached to this investment. To be brutally honest it makes me feel dirty.
What good are context and facts when you are attempting to slander a fellow shareholder. The only reason Dr. Decosta is allowed as a topic on this board is because of the excellent research paper he put together for the benefit of the rest of us shareholders which is posted on the MDMN website. If the paper were taken down then any reference would be considered a TOS violation on ihub.
Good points Beth. I found it rather odd that I had to go through the metal detector only because it is Vegas and there are cameras EVERYWHERE. You don't shoot/stab someone inside a hotel and not get caught on video before getting outside.
That being said, there were plenty of pissed of shareholders and trust me when I tell you there were more than one at the meeting that could have cleaned the house with Chapins arse if they choose to.
Fear is a great motivator. Hopefully these jokers understand that.
then I would be questioning the DD by all those shareholders since they obviously got it very wrong.
His source, is your source, is my source...I have no source, you have no source and by following that logic he has no source either. Hope that clears thing up.
that would be a huge blow to the stock and shareholder confidence.
The BOD does not fear the stockholders
Not to mention that the "Insiders", which in this case mean JJ, LP, Chapin and Tenney, wouldn't be hard to track from simple brokerage statements of said dumping. But fear-mongering has always been a tactic of some.
It's going to end with a JV announcement. Now you know.
What is your definition of "Anytime soon"
Good morning Beth. I got your PM, thank you. I don't have that feature but I will answer here.
In regards to the LDM, and I stress that this is only my opinion, there were a number of contributing factors that have played in to the delay of shipping/mining of ore. The first factor seems to be the safety and security of the mine and it's workers. I believe the additional rules/regulations stem from the trapped Chilean miner issue a few years back and secondly the environmental/power consumption issue that the country faces going forward. Inherently the mining industry has massive regulations for obvious reasons.
The second factor that I see is financial. The group that formed CMLDM had a relatively small initial operating budget. They did what they could to set up the mine with the initial funds available but like pretty much any mining company in the initial stages of development there were various factors that required more time/money which slows the process.
Thirdly I believe that the ongoing negotiations with Partner C may be playing a factor. To what extent I am not yet sure but my thoughts are that they want to include the LDM in the purchase of the ADL. It would make sense as this property is essentially the low hanging fruit and could be used to create near instant cash flow while drilling and proving up the ADL.
Hopefully this answers your question. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the issue.
So it's your opinion that they just spent a bunch of their own money and time getting permits and securing the mine for safety sake and contracting with a refiner and hiring a geo and hiring miners and received assay results that were nice then on a whim decided to shut it down? That's your opinion?
Fair and balanced answer Beth. I am on the bandwagon that the 3Q financials will show income which is a first for this company. I don't care if it is a few thousand bucks or tens of thousands. For me a producing mine with a verifiable income stream is awesome after 8+ years (for me) of no income.
Like I said I will take the information flow in any order that it's given to me. Now would be fine.
So you don't see a benefit to having financials SHOWING INCOME available for new investors to see just prior to the JV?
I'm not arguing with you and after 8+ years I am ready for an announcement right now but for presentation sake I disagree with you.
Here is what I would like to see if I were controlling the info flow
1. 3Q financials
2. Announce ADL JV
3. PR Ciclon downpayment
4. PR LDM assay results and shipping tonnages
5. PR drilling program commencement at ADL
6. PR 1st set of drill results at ADL
I could go on but this is how we maintain our focus with new investors. Keep them interested and engaged.
Thanks for the suggestion Focus. I have bookmarked his post and will be sure to put it on the front page when the deal is announced with our JV partner. We can argue the merits of his wisdom then.
Would you agree that it would make for a better overall presentation to have the 3Q financials out which will show income from the LDM then back that up with the JV announcement. I mean after 18 years whats a few more days to do it right...right?
Sorry for that...I assumes that HST was the well know acronym for Hunter S. Thompson. The good doctor will see you now.
If it were in my hands I would wait for the 3Q financials to be released then announce the JV at the ADL. But that's just me.
My opinion is that the deal is already done and JJ is simply doing some admin duties (paper work) at this point. If you can't tell I am in the camp that thinks that the deal is a forgone conclusion. We wait.
Read some HST letters. It's one of his favorite sign offs.
You are right in your thinking Steve. JJ is driving the bus and will until the company is bought out or closed down. Selah!!!
Are you relying on LP to bring the deal forward? If you are then you are seriously behind the 8 ball. JJ runs the show. JJ makes all the decisions. JJ buys the properties. JJ pays the taxes. JJ interviews potential partners. In short JJ does everything. Les is told what to do.
The only thing laughable is the outright fear mongering that is perpetrated by people on this board that have no financial interest in Medinah Minerals yet spend time during their day spreading untruths. Now that is truly laughable...and downright sad.
He who laughs last laughs the best. I have a feeling I will continue to do the laughing.

So, I guess failed deals happen throughout the mining sector? These guys are probably scam artist that bloated their o/s while lying to their shareholder base and lining their pockets. This time the excuse is the fishing industry. What will they come up with next.
We should be outraged. Lets get the SEC involved. Better yet, the CIA and the FBI. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
To answer your question simply Beth I will say yes, this is the one. I have been around long enough to know the whole story first hand and I am pretty sure the ding a lings running the show have finally learned their lessons and will bring a successful JV to light.
I could care less about the other properties. All I care about is how JJ went about locking up the 15K + hectares that make up the ADL. When I bought my first shares the size of the property was much much smaller. I could care less how we got where we are today I am just glad that JJ had the foresight to lock the place down.
Here is my prediction and feel free to mark it then hold it to task later. The JV partner is announced and drilling will commence before the end of the 2013. By the end of Q1 2014 we will have 20K meters of fresh drill cores for examination. By the end of Q3 2014 there will be negotiations with a major mining company to purchase the entire ADL with MDMN retaining a 2-3% FCI.
Then again I may be full of shi* but my opinion is as valid as any others on this board.
So you don't think we are any closer to a deal than at any time in company history. That is strictly your opinion and one that you are entitled to. I and many others however disagree and the fun part will be watching with excitement as the deal is announced, the drills turn and the cores are evaluated.
Oh and then there is the cash flow from the LDM. But you probably don't believe that either.
Hi Beth. One question for you? Do you know the number one reason most exploratory junior miners go out of business?
Answer...because they blow their cash on excessive drilling.
Medinah on the other hand chose to use their cash to lock up all of the surrounding property. This is a similar tactic used in the oil and gas drilling business to great success and was hands down the smartest thing Medinah could have done.
Drill cores are nice, more property surrounding a bonanza claim are better. The best part is that the JV partner is going to spend their money to prove up the property and we will simply sit back and read the reports. Should be fun.
Good luck to you.
There is another poster on that same dividend thread that has a few names of brokers that will take your certs at this level. Otherwise, from what I hear we have to get above the $1 threshold at which time most brokers will take it. Don't quote me on that last bit though.
I would highly suggest you go to the other board and look under the dividend thread. There are many shareholders that have dealt with eturd, myself included, that have had the restriction removed. Look for posts by Karl as he did the bulk of the leg work and I believe copied a letter he sent to them which I used as well. I paid the processing fee as it is not my main account but many others with larger accounts had no charges.
Who is your broker. I and many others had no problem with our dividend so maybe we can help with your problem.
Hilarious. Let's agree to revisit that chart at the end of the year eh? I'll save it for now and break it back out after the ADL deal is announced ok.
I'd rethink the idea that dorklandrr has the money to pay for a lawyer...to funny
oh snap rick...thats good stuff
Can you please provide where exactly this pump brigade is disseminating the pump because i just can't seem to find any paid pumpers.
I strongly disagree but you are welcome to share your opinion. I have been a shareholder since 2006 and am up nicely on my investment. I have sold when I needed to and averaged down when the opportunity arose. I have recouped my initial investment and now play with house shares/money.
The mountain is real. The metals are real. The LDM producing is real. The deal that will be announced for the ADL will be real.
Yes, the men running the show have fallen down on more than one occasion but they weren't trying to become a Goldcorp or Barrick. Medinah is a junior exploration company with exceptional property. There is inherent risk in the junior mining sector and that should be considered when you are investing. I was told very early on to only risk what you are willing to lose and that is what I have done and it has worked out nicely for me.
I believe that we will see measurable price appreciation by the end of the year but then again I BELIEVE!!!
I am with you on that and I await the financials for 3Q because that will tell the story...
unless you think this is a scam and believe that they boys are fudging the numbers...as if.
I'll go out on a limb and say that the 9 million can come from either production at the LDM, upfront money for the ADL deal that is about to be signed or selling a percentage of the revenue stream from the LDM.
Thoughts?
fair enough. Let me ask you then. In general, where do you see the future of the overall company and specifically what would you predict for the value of the one operational LDM claim?
I'm new here. Would you please give me the readers digest version of where we are today vs. the last 5 years? I have not read the updates that you refer to.
Thanks in advance
