I've contacted their IR firm, and will await a response from them. Yeah, it looks attractive, but I need something a bit firmer before sinking cash in.
Really? Financials coming? Is that wishful thinking or based on facts?: Not bashing, just looking for any info on the company. Notice the English website hasn't been refreshed in a bit... actually two years.
Hi could anyone direct me to any fresh financials on this outfit? As a pinky, they don't have to file any quarterly reports, and I can't find much anywhere. I just emailed their IR firm for info. At this price it might be interesting. Heck, I'd unload my JADA for this...
That's the big question. I'm short-term pessimistic, long-term optimistic. These companies are going to need to string together a few strong quarters to shake off the negative label. With CSGH, we know they have a plant, we know they are moving into a more lucrative battery market. We know the stock is undervalued. I think if you can afford to be patient, we should eventually be rewarded, but it might take two years or maybe more. I need this thing over a buck to get back into the black, if they continue to post decent numbers, I'll slowly acquire more. Use this window as a chance to acquire, and as the rest of the world is stuck in stagnation and China continues to chug along the reward should eventually be there.
They must be lying about their assets and the amount of cash they have. Their price to book is like 1/10 if they are telling the truth about their numbers, so they have to be hiding something or Fu has embezzled the money and has his bankers telling lies to the auditors and maybe they are in on it, too.
Yeah, that must be it. What a leap in logic. The sentiment to this whole class of stocks is very poor. The whole lot is being tossed into the same sack of fraud. Are all these companies frauds and scams? You have to judge that on your own. A little bit of common sense says no, especially in the case of this company, which we know has tangible phyical assets....
Is there any doubt this facility about to be acquired exists? If not, buying this stock at the current price is a no-brainer, and I'd like to bet the house, as it were, on LPH. This stock should easily double in value at the very least.....
AJGH has been filing regularly; gives press updates; and it won a prize in Australia for its fuel blend. It's just been caught up in the tsunami that hit this sector. Now is a great time to buy in. Just bought some for my son's account, and will add more. In this sector also like CCGY, which announced a share buy back, a growing trend it seems for these Chinese small caps. In a couple of years you'll look back and remember when AJGH was trading for a measly 30 cents!
I'm just not buying that the whole thing is made up. With the bus ads, it's a bit easier to hide what you're doing. With oil drilling, a tad harder. If it takes three years to turn this around, I'll wait. If it's selling at $10 in three years, I have a 50% return. Better than sticking it in a bank or cd... Don't need the money now. Will ride the storm out....
Hit piece doesn't convince me. Used the drop to buy some more NEP.
I thought Motley Fool's very unscientific test with the product very convincing. Again, it wasn't done on a large scale, but the fact it was conducted by Americans, not directly related to the company, was pretty convincing for me. Plus, all the buzz the company has generated in China should indicate there is something going on here. Of course, shorters are going to target this stock now, and raise questions about the product and whether they have as many branded stores as they claim. It's going to be dark days now for the China small cap sector. The fact YONG barely budged yesterday just goes to show how skeptical investors are of the whole lot.
New China Small Cap Flagship?
With CCME going down, YONG is looking like the best of the bunch. Very solid numbers meticulously released yesterday. All, hopefully, carefully vetted by a big four auditing firm. Involved in a core industry: food. At these prices, good time to stock up (no pun intended). However, with overall scepticism hanging over the sector, you're going to need patience, but it should eventually be rewarded.
Good piece of advice. Don't cave to the fear. These are the times when money is lost. Bought some YONG yesterday. Will buy some LPH on Monday. Have patience folks.
Can anyone verify whether the "subsidiaries" subsection of the JADA website has been updated? Although the info seems a bit old, I don't remember the four-bullet breakdown you can scroll thru on the lefthand side. Seems a few new photos sprinkled about, too. Not much, I know, but at least a sign of a pulse at JADA? Any scrap of info, I'd say, is warmly welcomed.
Good numbers, decent numbers, heck any numbers would and should resuscitate this stock. Until then, don't expect much movement.
Well put. These are dark days for the Chinese reverse-merger sector. U.S. investors are just sceptical, fearing the whole sector is one big Chinese scam. JADA is at the bottom, and has only one way to go. Announcing an auditor will do wonders, but I'll do cartwheels when they file the next quarterly report, just to show everyone out there they exist!
Thanks very much, Casper. I've got nearly 30,000 shares of JADA at an average price of 42 cents. I'm not selling, but I'm not going to fixate on it, fretting over erroneous phone numbers and such. I'm optimistic that in two years time things will have turned for the better with JADA. Right now I'm very bullish on AJGH, a producer of methanol fuel that is trading for a buck right now and could easily triple in value over the year. Seems to be doing a lot right, including an experience CFO. Also YONG is a big holding, as is NEP.
The Asian Games are over, played out to pomp and fanfare in Shanghai, back in.... late last year. And yes, our brand of jade was used in the mementos handed out to dignitaries attending the games. Said a lot to me, and others on this board....
I think too many active traders have too much time between quarterly reports to concoct all kinds of worst-case scenarios. In the case of JADA, we're fretting over whether JADA, which has filed yearly and quarterly reports at the SEC for over three years, actually exists because a few telephone numbers on the website have not been updated. This is obviously a bad on JADA, but we all know by now the folks at JADA just don't get the I/R angle. For the foreseable future, the only news we are likely to get are the quarterly reports, and maybe, a new accounting firm, and I wouldn't even bet on that. So, JADA exists and is hopefully out there seeking out reliable customers. I'd bet in two years, this stock will not cost 10 cents, 20 cents, or even 40 cents, but something a bit higher, if not more. By that time, all the accounting horror stories surrounding some of our companies will be history or long rectified and investors will finally realize the real growth is in China and many of us will have gotten in at the start.
With all the pumping, dumping and deceit going 'round, you can either believe this or not. I tend to believe it, giving the detail. Anyway, this is a cut-and-paste from the Yahoo JADA board. I hope I'm not infringing on any copyrights or anything:
"I got the cell phone number from the Ad information of XIKAI Minning on the web,her name is Shao Qi,as described is the sales director of the company, when I asked her if there are anything wrong with the company, she said she don't know, and said I may ask MR.Song in Jiangxi. So seems to me it is normal in the field, but the corperate level may have anything unkown. If you have Chinese speaping person you can also check with this number 15849852008, Miss Shao"
No. I saw AJGH signed some promotional deal or some such nonsense. I guess it doesn't hurt their efforts to promote their product. If there's something else, enlighten me.
Well, I think at about a buck twenty, it's hard not to see you at least doubling your money with AJGH. I was sold when they brought this new CFO on board, and after reading the results of the testing of their fuel products in Australia. Plus, the backing they see to have gotten in Harbin. I've got about 5,000 shares, and would like to add more, along with YONG, SGZH, NEP, LTUS, SRRY, and CRTP.
Response From Fuqi IR Department:
Emailed IR asking in terse terms why no shareholders' meeting was held, and why was the companies adding to its woes. Here's what I got back, promptly, I might add:
As the Company is currently undergoing restatement, the Company will release the restated financial statements and its Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q for each of the periods ended March 31, June 30, and September 30, 2010 to the investment community as soon as available.
In addition, the Company will expect to file its definitive proxy statement and solicit proxies promptly upon filing the 2009 Form 10-K and hold the 2009 Annual Meeting as quickly as possible thereafter.
Regards,
FUQI IR
Hey Sirola, any answers to these questions? I've put AJGH at the top of my list of favorite small cap Chinese stocks. Just think this one will be special. Also was persuaded by the appointing of the new CFO, who seems to bring a lot of gravitas to the corporate table. More so, the product just seems to be cutting edge. Also the Australian test results were interesting to say the least. Got about 5,000 shares now, and will add more and more.....
Well, if ENHD goes private those shares won't be worth the paper they're printed on. If the company is taken private, then the shares won't be publicly traded anymore, unless you can find a sucker to take some of the outstanding ones. And as PT Barnum said...
Well, guess that's a positive. Thanks.
It seems ENHD may have opted the way it did due to costs it would have incurred to meet listing standards. JADA doesn't have any accounting issues.... yet?
Obviously, you can never rule out anything, but I don't see JADA taking such a course. Why? Not exactly dizzy from success right now are they? It's not like its investors are giving JADA management any headaches. They rarely communicate with us, but seem to quietly go about trading jade. Can't deny the ENHD story hasn't spooked me a bit. Hope it is a very unique case, and won't become a template.....
Buidling awareness of this relatively new jade, quartz, whatever you want to call it, takes time. They been in business for about two years, since 2008? (Correct me if I'm wrong) That's not a hellavu lot of time.
Agree. I still think it's early days. Actually, I'd rather have JADA stop shipping to delinquent clients, rather than essentially give it away. It's a signal to me, at least, that they aren't desperate and feel they can be a bit choosier in selecting buyers.
I really can't think you can say that. If that were so, why did the folks in charge of the Asian Games decide to use our brand of jade for the mementos handed out to dignitaries at that event? To me, at least, that's a big vote of confidence in the quality of the stone. Remember these are realitively early days for the company and the rock. If, however, you're looking to turn a quick profit on this stock, you may be disappointed. On the other hand, JADA has low overhead, money in the bank, and, I think, prospects for the future. Like others here have said, patience should be rewarded.
Double? As in from $6 to $12? Good analysis. I'm in long-term and in two or three years I think we're going to look back at today's price and marvel it was once so low.
Taiwanese Buyer? $80 million sale?
Very, very interesting reading:
http://geoinvesting.com/geowire/303/can_customer_jump_start_jade_art_group_
I think we were all shocked. The company should really do more to address investors's concerns, and use the low price to wipe out some of that 80 million bulge of shares....
Hey Alex - This is great stuff! Having someone who can actually navigate through Chinese websites is huge. I assume you think JADA has a bright, if not bumpy, future?
This is the reason I'm not too worried, long-term.
http://www.gczb.cc/news_show.aspx?id=1094
Picked for the Asian Games obviously says a lot.
There obviously is an effort, backed by the top honchos, to promote this variety of jade, or whatever you want to call it.
So, I don't see JADA losing all its business.
Growing pains? Yes. Finding credible costumers? Yes.
But, She- Tai, seems to be on a growth curve, as far as introducing it to Chinese consumers.
I guess you have to ask yourself whether even under the worst-case scenario, JADA will fail to sell a single chunk of this gem, which has just been proudly gifted to dignitaries at the Asian Games?
I'm betting She-Tai is not going away and JADA will be distributing it for the foreseeable future, despite their miserable failure to keep US investors informed.
People gotta eat. Can't really see a country of one billion plus cutting food production. By the way, CIHD had a nice bump up in price yesterday!!!! Woohooo!!!!!!!!
Cool. Well I got in on this one at 0.45. So, I'm not too bothered if this one boobs around a bit. That loan is causing some grief. What a boneheaded move. Gotta get that resolved. Like the cooperation deal with Sinochem. Plus, as you point out, they just posted good numbers for what is normally their weakest quarter.
Hi - got a bit of a stake in this one. Seems a new fire-resistant material is giving the bottom line a big boost. Where do you realistically see this one going over the next six months? Not much volume, but quietly seems to be doing the right things...
Well, the company can throw us a bone here, and buy back a good chunk of the stock when it drops....
Yes, the numbers are shockingly poor. Is there any glimmer of hope here? They were forthright with the news; written off the debt; cut ties to the two distributors. Will we see JADA use this finally to be more proactive in growing there business? I'm in for the long term. Won't add any more, but my timeline is getting longer and longer.
