great level to entice Liberty, Dundee and Wellington to snatch some more shares out of the snouts of the mutts. love seeing more shares go to the long side
As the immortal Grapes would say...." IT'S A BEAUTY!!!! " Many thanks for that first rate news dude. I am more than mildly stoked.
nice score...there's always the opportunity of loading up on days like these wish I had more powder
a little support would be nice...but I'm thinking the current market sentiment's made this play a little too speculative for the sheepish ones until the boogieman goes away :-0
WOW! very nice report...thanks a bunch. very exciting times again, starting tomorrow. really love to get nova and samaria.
deep
so I'm driving my 5 ton up the fraser canyon today and look over the Thompson River and what do I see? CP Rail pulling what musta been better part of a kilometer of JUST Canpotex bins. we all know what's in there. really hit home. they want what we got...they need it. 3 years, other side of the world..same scene, but the cars read: ALLANA. Beauty! Further up the line I saw even more cars of coal, no doubt on their way to China...already cashed in on that one
excellent email u2...thanks for throwing it out there for us to see..going to be a great next few years here.
anyone here know when we hear about seismics? TIA.

Hi Cam,
At this point we plan to truck the product down to Djibouti. We have already studied trucking costs and they are reasonable, about $30/t. We will do more detailed studies at the feasibility study stage.
This Chinese company has never done anything for Allana. STB is in Eritrea and not Ethiopia, and their success will help the entire basin as both Eritrea and Ethiopia would want stability in the region. Roach/Cummings have been in the region longer than Allana, but have not done anything yet.
All the best,
Farhad
good find murrie. never said it couldn't be done, just wanted to know how. any idea how much the fleet would cost and how many rigs and drivers? try and be a little less snotty in your reply.
only one piece of the puzzle remains. how do we move 3000 cubic meters of product per day without our rail line. we really need the gov. to come through with the rail line and cars, or trucking it out at that rate, or even 1500 cube a day, is going to cost us as much as the last private placement. mind you, I'm sure this has been duly considered in the cap and opex estimates. let's see what kind of pull our Chinese pards have with their government, because we dearly need them to make this work.
and the silly dance goes on....
great stuff. thanks for the effort. I think if holes 11 and 13 prove up big like we expect,we drill maybe 15 and 16, and 12 surprises to the upside, we're sitting on a jackpot of over 500 million tons of end product come the NI 43-101. 5 million tons a year for a hundred years! and we haven't even poked a hole in the east yet. once the "smart" money stumbles onto this there will be no stopping it. ahead of the curve here guys. Africa's time is coming, just watching and waiting.
looks to me that maybe we should be only including one hole in the far northwest for the purpose of the NI 43-101. thing is there's not enough radius between holes and our borders to include all of holes 1, 2, 3, and 7 M&I, so it would be more prudent to take the average grades and thicknesses, and roll them into one hole, that being #3. It looks like maybe we can't count the full indicated on some holes through Haro either if the spacing is tight. hate to be a wet blanket, but seems realistic to me. good thing is that it appears we're still well over our 500 million benchmark in the new resource estimate anyways. one I'm waiting for is #11. if that baby sings we got a massive north south trend. and if 12 looks good, we're showing continuity east. in my mind, 13's #'s are a given. come on April!
no problem with any equity I've bought or transferred. also, you can disposition shares from margin account over at the lowest price of the day for the stock.
yes..I meant to say it began Jan/09. got 30000 AAA in mine, and the wife has nearly 14000 I think. we might disposition some from our margin account to TFSA's in 2012 before production. we did that this year and we got lucky with the timing. just hoping the government here doesn't raid the honeypot sometime later
that's a great rule you have in the US. I don't think it applies here in Canada...might make the flippers think twice. certainly helps foster actual investing I'd think. we pay tax on capital gains on only 50% of the gains, and that is taxed at the rate applied to the given amount. not sure of the upper limit. one good thing we've had since Jan/08 is the TFSA, which allows you to contribute $5000.00 per year, invest however and none of the gains are ever taxed. You can pull money out, and return it along with the next year's $5000, and years you don't put in your cap are carried over. good deal, and many of us are maxing TFSA's out. sure wish they'd raise the limit though.
very nice bullish finish there..back on the rails.
thanks aaairmax, I figure we're all on the same team in this forum. no offense taken, and I don't mind being called to task on anything I say, in fact I think we all should have the goods to back our opinions. very happy to post in a forum that knows the game.
sorry, after rereading my own post I noticed I missed pointing out that my hole 9,10, and 11 projections were based on hole 8 results.
As for my numbers, they are relatively close to Karma's. Using measured (750m) and indicated (750m further), totalling a 1500m distance around each hole, I determined roughly just under 500m tons of ore @ 21% grade average. I did not include holes 4 or 7, and assumed we had 1500 meters to run between holes 1 through 3 to allow all their M&I, which may be generous. I also, like Karma I believe, assumed similar grades and thicknesses for holes 9, 10, and 11. I think 12 is still a bit of a wildcat, so I thought it prudent to omit for conservative sake. I believe transpo costs may be a little higher than most anticipate when you factor in the capital and opex numbers of purchasing a running/maintaining a fleet of b-trains to Djibouti until rail is built (possibly 8 years out, hopefully 5), but I'm not hopeful you have anywhere close to the capacity we'd need to move 2 million tons or more to market by road if you relied on Ethiopian contractors. Maybe the Chinese would step up there. Many variables involved, but like I said, Karma's revised estimate is close enough for me. Not that I feel anyone really cares, but there you have it. If anyone wants to call me on specifics I'm fine with that, just too much to post here. Btw, thanks again to U2Bob for sharing the emails. Good news
I checked the numbers, and I'm not going to quarrel about whether it's right or wrong to do it. Jesus himself can give me money, and I'm going to count it. Having said that, credit where credit's due...thank you Karma for the work many of us are just not willing to do. Everyone IMO should be doing their own DD. I always do, and I make no apologies for it. I've said before that my share price terget at production is $20.00. Some think that's hilarious too. I'll be thrilled if this thing's $50.00 3 years from now because I won't need to work another day for the rest of my life. My second guessing has never been directed at Karma so much as trying to wake people to make a determination on their own along with his projections as a good reference. Agreed we're in the very early stages here, and the story keeps getting better.
Karma has spoken and it is so. Having said that, I'm cheekily going to figure it out for myself, and get back to this board if there are any variations with the "official" version. Folks can then decide for themselves if figures warrant. Hate to say it but it's because $50.00 is just too rich a valuation. I really do hope I'm wrong.
salman partners thinks we're worth $1.65 now? wonder if their brokering of epc/pra to our north has influenced their now grim outlook? hmmmmm. like to see how they've been trading us since they jumped ship. anyone have access to historical house positions dating back to early december?
liberty option a no brainer..now we're cashed up, dilution over, big boys all in, this puppy's ready to roll! how bout them drill results already?
designerguy, methinks yer crystal ball gots a smudge on er. here's a theory...picture this fellow Allunatics...why the PP at $1.55, and why so much? What could we possibly need this much cash for now, and especially when we could dilute for much higher later? property I'm thinking....too much for Samaria...could be Sainik, maybe Nova....but man wouldn't that be sweet if we nailed down EPC. timeline's right...I sure hope my hunch is...fraser's in on the EPC financing, and our's now...any connection there? thoughts?
Thinking of buying us out Silver? I'm looking at $20 a share for mine come production time. Assuming a 250 million float, you can have the whole shebang for about 5 billion. Call us
Thanks to the mods and other contributors of Ihub. After following the posts on SH and coming back here, it's like a breath of fresh air. What a gong show that's turned into. Good day all!
A girl that's cash flow positive is worthy of a whole lotta love!
another 10000 at $1.27....nice
they keep trying to pull her back but this philly wants to ride!
we all knew this was coming but...ain't it sweet?
crazy to think I snagged 5000 shares @.64 just back on Dec. 17. a doubling in SP in just over a month. WOW!
intriguing...where there's smoke...beyond the denials. I asked Mr. MacLean about this, and he assured me he never knew who SBM was, yet was familiar with the piece. My take. Allana's trying to keep secrets on how far along they are, wanting to take back the more prominent position in the basin from STB. I think there's a war going on out there, and Allana's going for the jugular. No more Mr. Nice Guy...too many mutts nipping at their heels and time is critical. STB, Sainik/Yara and EPC/PRA strongly funded and breathing down their neck, this thing is in high gear finally.
Very welcome...btw, I also had a chance to speak briefly with senior vp, business development, Nejib Abba Biya. He spoke of some Ehiopian government initiatives to foster domestic farming and use of fertilizers. Possible potash subsidies, etc.. Somebody called him, so I cut it short, but I was also impressed by his demeanor and enthusiasm. By the time I was through with Peter I was pretty much done anyways. Hope this one stays strong. Crazy volume is giving the Jitneys the jitters no doubt. Hope we shook the mutts loose today. A few more days like these should do it. Cheers!
Back from the show. Spoke with Peter MacLean for over a half hour I figure. Keep in mind, this is ALL off the record. Quick rundown FWIW: agrees we have minimum 500 million tons from holes drilled, without counting hole 4. Solution mining likeliest in NW portion, because water flow could flood open pit ops and would require drilling wells and pumping excess water. Minimum 1 mtpa potash production to start, but may be somewhat less until up to speed. Plan in due course to exercise option(s) on outstanding NSR agreements, and are accelerating payments to settle land acquisition contracts. Confident Liberty is going to step up should additional capex financing be required. Said he has no idea what Shanghai Shibang China is doing saying they are supplying processing equipment, assembly and management. He SAYS he has no knowledge of any orders for equipment as yet. Thinks railway to Mekele may be 6 years out, and they plan to truck to Djibouti until then. He figures opex maybe $95-$100/ton, including buying their trucks, maintenance, fuel, etc.. Geothermal power holds promise, but likely generators initially, due to high initial installation costs. No problem with water supply...abundant. May use naturally superheated water for solution stock to aid dissolution. China Mineral very engaged, Farhad will speak to them maybe next week, but in London at present. Still waiting on BHP to provide aerials that were done in October, but have BHP is still hanging out, talking and covering some of the bills. EPC in the north owned mainly by some South Africans who turn up and bum bunks and showers, but discussions with them regarding the property is going nowhere really, and they have raised around 10 mill to date. NI 43-101 ready in April..Ercosplan still interpreting seismics. Delays for drilling results due to holidays, lab maintenance, and severe weather in Europe. Probably left info out. Let me know if there's anything I never covered. Workshop was cancelled...I didn't care. Would have been repetive at best. Took a snapshot of the booth, but it was nothing to look at really. Peter was really forthcoming and I came away feeling very optimistic going forward, course as we were speaking the SP was going ballistic, and when I saw the numbers on the close I felt this was a great day all around.
Sounds great! Very nice work. Many thanks.
I don't do cameras...wife's department. I'll have my phone though, and I'll snap a few with it if I can remember. Just a matter of transferring them to the computer. Let's see what i can do
