That's unfortunate. I hate it when something is impacted because of something like that. That's just not right. I can accept a stock going down on pressure but because orders aren't filling... that's just wrong.
Well... there is quite a bit of awareness on it today. So far it isn't looking that great, but the volume is pretty decent thus far. Going to need to rebound here.
I'm sure the volume yesterday created some of the issues. Do you know what the float is? Must be relatively small if they are holding orders. It is holding up but definitely looked scary for a moment. Always a dip on a gap.
Gapping hurt it a little bit as it usually does, but if the momentum holds during the dip then it could still recover from it.
I'm with you on that one! I hate predictions myself. Hopefully we see some more movement here. It started out the gates really nicely and suddenly stalled a bit.
Hey mkt! Nice to see another steaming board member over here!
I'll be watching to see what happens throughout the day. You have done well with your picks lately and this looks like it has good momentum going into today so there is potential. I'm hoping your estimate is right.
It was called by Oreo over at the Steaming board. He has had a couple of pretty good calls thus far so I figured it would be one to watch. I know several of us have been playing around with energy plays lately so it seemed reasonable.
Really? That's a pretty bold statement. That's about a 40% gain from here after a 20% day. What does the share structure look like?
So far the picks on your board have been pretty good, so I'd like to see this one do well too. What are you thinking? Quick flip or a momentum run?
Yeah... that PR is definitely a little on the fluffy side. Looks like it was put out to coincide with awareness. I did see a lot of that come out.
I will have to check it out. I see that it is being put out all over the place.
Yeah, it started to look a little more positive now. The downturn definitely wasn't friendly, but we appear to be past it now. I finally got out of my position. Made a small profit, but a profit nonetheless.
I was finally able to get out of my trade because of the new uptrend, but it definitely had me nervous for quite a while there. I was thinking that I would be selling the second chunk at a loss.
That's definitely more than some! That's about $15k worth right there at least. Not how I wanted to end my day on this one, so hopefully it isn't done.
And now we're seeing the selling. I may have connected with some highs, but with selling I will be stuck with the rest of my shares. I'd rather not be in that position. Hopefully it was just a few loose hands and we'll get back up. Just need to get out a few more.
Just needs a little bit more to get me to the glory land. Fighting the good fight right now but I need volume to get the rest of the way there.
That would be nice. Right now I'm fighting a profitability border war on this one. It is annoying because I really don't have much to sell. I have more than Don but not really by much. I was able to get out of most of mine in the .68s. Then when I felt secure holding a bit more it stopped completely.
Why do you think I'm trying to find pictures of him. The pictures of Ian aren't so hot. He looks like a crusty Brit. I'm trying to find pictures of the young buck Atkinson to see if there is anything there. I think we need more attractive female CEOs. Just don't see that enough!
Did you really? I sure hope so! Its hard to tell, you could have legitimately done those things. I'm just glad that he isn't the CEO of the company anymore. The current CEO looks a little better. Oh well, it is green today, I don't have many shares left but it is nice to at least make money on it.
hahaha. Yeah, we were analyzing the hell out of it early. I like the tennis professional part the most. But I guess for someone that is 27 years old you have to sort of expect that. I'm just not sure why he would include that as part of his professional resume. I used to pick strawberries when I was 14 but I don't include that.
It has been a pretty good mix from them. Some lose, but the large majority seem to do well. I have been watching a lot more energy plays lately because they have a lot of stability through economic hard times.
New high of the day. If auto is done it could actually do pretty well from here. I see that AUTO is at .70 now.
I think he was saying that they were already out on it so it should have already broken through. Maybe we'll see a pickup into powerhour. Just needs a strong push all at once and it would break it up. Once it gets too expensive the shorts back off.
It has been absolutely maddening to watch it all happen. This is just another sad story in the shorting tale. With volume it could be too expensive for them to continue, but honestly seeing them there keeps people from hitting the ask as hard as they normally would so it makes it harder to get that volume to break it.
Are they really? I didn't even notice. I'm a bit of a momentum chaser too. Don told me to check it out because he heard momentum would be coming in so I came to take a look. I've spent most of my morning trying to dig up the ugly about the company. It has been interesting to say the least, but nothing bad that I can really see.
It seems to be their thing lately. AUTO has been short all over the place the last few months. I'm sure they probably make a whole lot more than they lose on the deal, but it is becoming annoying. Volume is going to need to pick up to make it too expensive for them to continue.
They seem to be short on damn near everything lately. Do they just go around with their buddy VFIN playing games? The two of them have been short much more than they used to be lately.
It is going to have to break through .65 at some point or it will just stagnate. I'd really like to see more action come out of it so that Don can get out of the rest of his shares at the very least.
I don't know. He isn't actively running it right now. It looks like he is just a figurehead more than anything with the company. It appears that the main leader of the company is Spowart, who may possibly be a celebrity, hahaha.
Someone on here called a short by AUTO earlier. The more shares I see hit the ask I more I think that is probably the case. I wonder how long they are going to hold that line in the sand.
There is a lot more to the cost of operating a well than just starting it up. You have to realize they have to find an area, then do the testing on it to make sure there is oil there. Then they have to setup and drill. The whole process could takes years which is why many smaller companies take stakes in other wells. Those companies selling the stakes simply take that money so that they can startup a new well. Pretty common from what I can tell checking out other energy stocks.
It doesn't appear to be the same person based on the employment history. He just had too many things going on while the actor was doing roles. It could be the same person, but I doubt it. They do have a professional tennis player, so you never know.
Here is a purchase agreement for a small ownership in Bulgaria. I thought it was a larger ownership than that. Going to have to figure out what their ownership is on the other wells. Hopefully they own them outright with 200 barrels a day of production.

I keep digging for more information about the management and I can't find anything all that damning. That's a good sign. I'm curious though whether or not Liberty's CEO is the same Ian Spowart that I am finding in movies. I'm also finding one on facebook and myspace but seems too young.
Will definitely need much larger orders to break through and move up. It looks healthy right now but that's about it. I wasn't expecting anything major anyway. But looks like don made a bit of money on it. That's a good thing.
Has anyone been able to find any pictures of Atkinson when he was a professional tennis player? That's what I'm looking for. I'm trying to find the celebrity.
I hope that wasn't the first run. It is going to need a lot more than that.
What makes you think that? I haven't been watching level 2 enough on it today to really know. I've been busy digging in to build the story up.
That's not too bad. You have to look at the bigger picture. You shouldn't be aiming to hit a homerun on every play, you should simply be trying to make a small bit of green on each one. The $20 you made is $20 less that you have to make elsewhere.
