pretty wide spread atm.
business takes time! They have been around for what? one year this month is it? And look at what they have accomplished so far. Getting contracts is like fly fishing :P.
frankly at this point I wouldn't be heart broken if this was a scam (when comparing the evidence IMO it totally points to real company). But if it was a scam they did put a good effort in lol. I mean it's no Bre-X :P. I don't care if it's a scam really as long as the major of people don't find out and drive the SP down lol. I think this still has big news letter pump potential if anything and then i'm out if I can recoup or come close :p
well, if it was a scam I think their would be more PR effort from them to try and keep the SP high, didn't mm107 go and see everything was legit in person?
Lol I really don't get this stock, watch us have huge volume tomorrow :P
hrmph, the stock is spread more than a local village whore, lol
does anyone know when the reps are getting back from the euro trip?
something is brewing here again.
should be a PR by the end of the week regarding trip progress I assume. Don't expect news asap, they have to accomplish some stuff over there first :P
yeah that makes sense, but I couldn't find a website or anything about the company on the web before, i guess i didn't look hard enough.
i'm concerned on the legitimacy on the last PR.
"Mr. Berlamont founded Geneva Partners in 2002" on the web site.
Consistent with when the site was created, pretty sure it's not a scam..
oh directnic is the web hosting company never mind.
http://www.whois.net/whois/geneva-partners.com
ok so created in 2002, not recently days ago, that's a good sign.
registered to directnic, gunna look them up now.
at least there is volume.
AFPW setting up for huge bounce!
That's true, I don't know about you guys but I work a 9-5 so I only make my post when I have a second.
Lol, it would of been dumb, but at the end of the day I'm i've still got my 10k shares. Just wish I didn't buy at 0.07 when we spent so much time at 0.03, oh well at this point any profit is welcome :P
Thanks... I guess.. Well I was pissed off and almost made the wrong choice. Going against my own signature motto lol.
almost sold yesterday, made a mistake in my limit order price when I clicked sell, so it didn't and I said screw it and kept holding.
see i jumped on AFPW for what I was hoping would be a short run, in and out with profit in 3 months or so, but the stock has tanked since I bought it and now I gotta just wait and wait.
I give up, but I am not selling now, I don't need the cash atm so wtv, see where this goes this summer..
so PR yesterday and an alert today and no volume at all!?
I don't think this will ever explode IMHO, I think we will keep hovering under the dollar range for years. So many good PRs this year and shit all to show for it.
I'm never going to recoup my money..
wow where did this volume come from!?
That's for all your advice it's really helpful, I forgot about the 3 day wait to be able to use the same capital again, I'm thinking, If I had a starting capital of 8 grand, to be able to trade 2 grand worth of stock a day consistently, aiming for a 105$ net profit.
my theory for getting that 105 is basically, if you have a quote like this:
bid/ask: 0.50 x 0.54
Then I step in, becoming the highest bidder at 0.51 for 4000 shares (2000$ worth) via limit order
bid/ask: 0.51 x 0.54
Someone hits my bid with a market order (if all goes smooth). The quote goes back down to 0.50 for best bid, I place my limit order to become the best deal seller at 0.53 for 4000 shares.
bid/ask: 0.50 x 0.53
someone buys 4000 shares at market and I make 120$ minus roughly 15$ commission and I get 105 profit.
With 8 grand I could do this trade once everyday and always have 2 grand to freed up by each morning.
The I keep as much of my profits as I can (need to spend my profits on cost of living too) to save up another 8 grand, and increase my formula by double for 210$ profits and so forth.
is this possible?
Well I have learned enough about day trading to know if I tried with the knowledge I have now I would fail horribly :P. Not sure about the states, as I am in Canada, but why would I need 25k to start? I assume that would be for making trades for symbols with an SP in the 10 dollar mark range for 2000 shares roughly? I am sure I would not want to trade on a margin, I really don't like the concept of borrowing money to trade. Ok so liquidity and volatility play huge factors so it would not be as easy to find stocks on OTC as oppose to NYSE, but it is still possible yes? I don't like touch sub-penny stocks, I would like to stick with SPs in the .10-.90 cent range really. I am not looking for big gains, I would like to achieve 100 dollars profit roughly for each trade, making a few trades a day. I am young and only make 100 bucks at day at my job now so anything more than that is fine with me for now.
My major concern is I can't find much info on how the specialist or money maker (same thing right?) works for OTCBB, I understand how they work for NYSE, is it the same?
My hopes are to make 100 dollar-ish profits off of trades using around 1000-2000 dollar capital. To be able to bring in 1000 dollars a week would be amazing for my current life style.
All I really need is a pro to point out flaws in my strategy :P
Hi guys, I am new to trading and I have been learning about scalping as a day trader. One thing I can't find the answer to is the differences between the NYSE and OTCBB that effect a scalper the most? Does the specialist work any different from NYSE? Is the best route for a new day trader to start on OTCBB before moving up to NYSE? What about the TSX, does that work the same as NYSE as well? I know those are big questions with I am sure, much bigger answers, but I can't find solid answers anywhere. What is the best route for someone interested in scalping but is totally new to the stock market and doesn't have thousands to start with? My initial trading capital would be around 3 grand CND, I am thinking of purely scalping, exploiting the spread on OTCBB stocks, then once I have a larger trading capital move to NYSE or TSX.
20% up! a good start to the day, it would be nice to see some non-fluff PR

well I hope you are right, there are way too many factors to know what the future of energy will be, god knows I could go on forever talking about the political and corporate pitfalls free market based society, not to say that communism is any better, IMHO both systems are poorly designed. Free market society provokes a wide spread of class based living where the poor get poorer and the rich get richer, while communism's ideals go against the very nature of humanity to strive to acquire as much as one can that pleases us... and now I'm ranting...
"petroleum is on it's way out" far far from it.. We are just starting to change, and face it, our economy revolves around oil more than anything else, I hate to say it but AFPW faces the same challenges as the electric car.
Im still kickin' too.
AFPW does business with the military!!!
AFPW setting up for a big run!
mornin' everyone one. Good to see we didn't open red today like most stocks, we should all post on other boards like "the hunt for the next 5-10 bagger" to try and get some new buyers.
well take care everybody, maybe we will have a nice close tomorrow or a nice open on monday, at least with have had consistent high volume this week.
well they didn't say which day... lol, maybe they mean one of these days rofl.
AFPW stock pick alert! just came out 5 minutes ago.
