Good morning MR. Fivestar,
I wanted to thank you for your all-in-one DD on EXPH has been superbly helpful in catching up on all that I have missed.
But it seems to not contain the most recent updates from the shareholders' meeting, and you have missed a few of the others. There is a lot of great news in those pieces.
Would it be possible for you to update them, thanks so much, you are quite the benefactor!
It seems we are on the cusp of a fantastic win-fall or a possible bust given the two sides of the coin that is being presented here. But if I were a gambling man, then there could definitely be a case made for the great reward vs. risk on the upside!
The fall from here is teensy-weensy compared to the possible run that seems about to happen. The down side is defined as a limited wager and the upside has no limit...what a quagmire of fruitful excitement!
The Dude
Good morning,
Fantastic, you certainly could be considered a true long.
It seems we have an interesting situation today. The volume seems uncharacteristically low volume, and the board is uncharacteristically quiet.
Has everyone taken the day off?
The Dude
Good morning Cookboy,
I am sure JD is wondering the same. He is obviously receiving counsel and not engaging in this process on his own, so the information he has passed on to us was surely passed on to him from those more involved with the process.
In due time, we will have all the answers we desire; but, the question is this, are you the one already in the stock or chasing to get in when the cards unfold?
Christmas seems to have continued into the new year!
The Dude
Good morning Mr. Cookboy,
I am beginning to see this dividend as a win-win situation. There have been numerous posts against the dividend, so those people must now be very interested in the current situation.
If the dividend does not happen, then I think we will see a rush to buy in to the stock, as the perceived value of ETC will be retained.
Yet, if the dividend occurs (for the record, I believe this dividend will occur), then we will reap the benefits of being on the other side of the coin.
When companies carry out an initial public offering, the people in the know are the sellers as all the others clamour all over themselves for the desired ownership of a great, and possibly prosperous company; however, we have the potential to be the holders of the desired as opposed to the seeker in the case of ETC.
What titillating excitement!
The Dude
Good morning Ms. Fourkids_9pets,
Transparency would be a fantastic thing. But people have to understand that the "raw, naked truth" often isn't what everyone wants to hear.
But, on to another aspect of transparency, if I were the CEO of a fast growing company dealing with Fortune double digit companies, then I would want to release as much information as possible and sign high-praise to anyone who would listen.
What JD Brown has done is amazing, and he should be proud of his accomplishments, deservedly so.
So, I think we need to view this lack of transparency as a restriction on Mr. Brown's desire to inform his loyal stakeholders due to NDA's and current SEC regulations, and not due to his desire to do so.
The comment that he released about "being and electively reporting" entity was to illustrate this issue. He does not have to release a single smidgen of information, yet he chooses to for the benefit of the stakeholders and all other potential investors.
He is indeed going the proverbial extra mile for people he has no legal requirement to, and this is again a refreshing take on the current "me, me, me" aspect to the modern business world.
To see a CEO who has a "we, we, we" attitude is absolutely smashing!
The Dude
Good morning GamblerNC,
Fantastic post. It is refreshing to hear that the CEO of EXPH accepted responsibility for his company and his actions and chose to make the best of a terrible economic environment and actually add value (which at the moment seems to be more intrinsic than financial, but great things come to those who wait) to his company and to his shareholders.
As always GamblerNC, your insight are greatly appreciated!
The Dude

The Dude
Good evening Mr. JS15471,
Thanks for that information. It is an interesting topic the 504's.
I would lean towards the opinion that EXPH does not require the crutch of other forms of financing or even the necessity to sell the shares of its own company.
I do remember reading Mr. Springroll's post on the selling of shares at the peak of the run (several times); however, that to me, is just makes good sense.
Anyways, what I am trying to get to is the fact that this company, reputable or not in some persons' eyes, has garnered legitimate financing through the entities of Wachovia (which is now Wells Fargo) and another bank, which has slipped my small mind.
So if these entities place there much valued money, given the tight credit environment that we are in today, doesn't this carry a tonne of weight in how we look at this company?
The financial institutions would have gone through EXPH with a fine-toothed comb before they had granted such a fantastic amount to help EXPH handle, only what I can assume would be massive orders.
The massive orders would have had to have been submitted to prove the requirement of such an amount, so I believe we can argue in favor of the fact that EXPH has orders coming in, of a considerable amount.
The Dude
Good evening Mr. Kapla,
It would be of great interest to me to know what a fair valuation of EXPH would be.
I know that with the financials having not yet been finished, we are lacking in revenue knowledge, but I am curious about the equipment situation.
I have heard and read that the equipment utilized in the production line of EXPH is rather amazing. That component of hard assets ought to add quarters if not halves of pennies to a fair evaluation, regardless of any multiplier.
The Dude
Good evening, Mr. Springroll
I reviewed that 504 and it looks like is was from 2006.
So, I imagine that whomever was lucky enough to get those shares would have cashed in on the past runs and the current scamperings up above the penny mark.
To imagine that this stock ran from triple zero's into multi-pennies is a tremendous accomplishment.
I have seen stocks run, and pennies also, but in order for pennies to hit the multi-penny level indicates, to me at least, that they are somewhat in a different class.
I would truly love to see this stock make it up out of the hallowed pinkies and onto a bigger, more reputable exchange.
The Dude
Hey Tuna8377, it looks like I am going to have to review and brush up on my Dude-isms!
Have a great night, The Dude
The great night is also extended to all that read this!
Good evening Oilstrike,
You make the oil, tremendous! I thought you were just an oil aficionado.
Well, I hope that your three wells turn into three hundred wells! But beware of Mrs. Oilstrike, she may have other plans for your bill fold.
The Dude
Good day Mr./Ms. KaraokeSinger,
A fantastic and noble profession full of prose and magic.
You are correct in your assumptions, but at this price acquiring a knee-knocking amount of shares should not be too taxing.
I presume that most see this entity have a run that would dwarf the last run? That would be out of sight, man!
Anyways, thanks again to the fantastic welcome I have received from all of you.
Until next time, The Dude
Good day Mr. Bullheader,
Thank you for you condolences, but it serves me right for trading without a safety net. I also didn't even play that well, gosh!
I like your chart, it has a rather interesting upward aura about it.
Walter is here and we are off to roll some rock, The Dude
Good day Mr. Vulcanized Crawler,
Unfortunately The Dude couldn't pay the bills on hustling at the local Bowl-a-rama, so The Dude became a future/currency trader, a real estate investor and The Dude does sell a lot of his fancy rugs and White Russian recipes on Ebay.
And Skiing, what do I look like a Cossack?
Take care, time to get ready for my Gate-Ball Competition!
The Dude
Top of the morning to you, Mr. Solarflux2
LMAO...I get so many classic quotes from that movie that I think they should offer a curriculum on it in a every pop culture class in institutions of higher learning.
Take care and thank you for correcting my unacceptable verbage.
The Dude
Good morning Mr. Oilstrike,
Growing up to be a dude is definitely not something to strive for; however, growing up to become the The Dude, if I may say so, is quite an accomplishment to pursue!
Of course, assuming your offspring is of the male orientation, yet I have yet to meet The Dudette, so that could be something of a lifetime goal!
Take care and good luck with the oil strike. I have a feeling we will top 100 again this year by summer time.
The Dude
I only have 15 a day, but this post deserves a LMAO!
The Dude
Good evening Mr. BigWill,
I watched that game tonight at the gymnasium. The Eagles sure didn't have luck on their side tonight.
But with the Steelers out, I have lost all interest.
Next year will be the year of the Steel!
The Dude
Good evening, Mr. Tuna8377
The Dude never says no to a White Russian! And I like your style, just sit back and watch the money roll in.
Take care, and thanks for the welcome!
Also, if anyone has seen a Chinese man, tell him I am looking for him. He owes me for the cleaning of my rug!
The Dude
Good evening my good people,
I was told, rather emphatically, to check this stock out.
It seems that there are so few real companies out there, and ones that are actually producing and selling goods are even fewer.
Looks like I have a lot of reading to do in order to catch up and be of some use to the veterans on this board.
I look forward to chatting with you all,
The Dude
Good evening Everyone, My name is The Dude.
I can't believe that this stock is still trading. I have heard of the court battles ongoing about JP Morgan and the all too auspicious take over of Washington Mutual. Yet I never thought that this stock would be trading as it is.
Congratulations to all that have been able to benefit from the current ongoings.
I personally lost several thousand as the bankruptcy and takeover were announced (well I was golfing at the time, so a rather expensive round that turned out to be), but I have lost touch with the stock since then.
I just may have to acquire a stake in this and see where the wind takes us.
The Dude
Good evening Venomen2002,
I haven't had that much contact with JD Brown, well yet. I am sure that we will do a little conversing over the next little while.
It is really interesting that the CEO takes it upon himself to communicate directly with stakeholders. I like that, and I would also hope that he is rather busy and focusses more on steering the ship, rather than talking to the oarsmen.
Anyways, you seem to have a very strong belief in this company, and hopefully all the best to all those supporting the success of EXPH.
Good night.
Good evening Augustfriends,
Fantastic I-Box...the tickers, the triggers and the targets. You should charge for doing all that work.
The Dude
Good evening again, Springroll
That is what I was asking, sorry if I was unable to convey this. I understand that Etrade is not allowing their customers to actively trade through NITE.
I was asking you why, in your opinion, do you think Etrade has prohibited NITE from making a market through their company?
The Dude
Good eve, Mr. JS15471
It is great to hear the hard-earned opinions of a seasoned professional.
For me, I couldn't tell you what the colors of my cabinets were, except for the one holding my rum. It's a fuzzy color, but definitely chrome...wait a minute, that might be the fridge?!?!
Please excuse my ill attempts at humor.
But, again thanks for you opinions on the feasibility and possible popularity of the ETC cabinetry systems.
The Dude
Good evening Homey84,
I like your post. Cold hard facts are definitely what is needed.
We rarely see such forward looking events pr'ed on the big boards, but that is due (in my opinion) to the nature of the pink beast.
We are in an area of the economy that is uber-growth, almost in the pre-idea stage of development, so the very forward-looking pr's are sometimes necessary.
That does not excuse JD or any other company CEO for manipulation. And no, I am not accusing JD of manipulation.
But I think that the trepidation caused by JD's past PR's in some people's minds comes from the ambiguity of the written word. So much, arguably upwards of 90%, of our communication comes from sources other than the verbage; so the possibilities for misinterpretation are tremendous.
But I do look forward, like you said, to receiving the facts that are about to come forth.
On a side note, I would make a terrible CEO in that I would not be able to sit on big news like big box distributors. I would be blabbing all over the place...laughing out loud.
Hey Springroll, that is interesting. I have never seen a company stop making a market at their own free will.
I wonder what the hullabaloo is all about regarding NITE and EXPH. I have accounts with all the major brokers, and even a big boy bike account (still laughing about that one, Mr. Sykes), so buying EXPH is no problem...
But I am more curious about the reasons why NITE would walk voluntarily or be removed from making a market.
The only other stock I heard of this happening was for the water-absorbing stock that ran like a scalded dog,but if you had any ideas, or anyone else for that matter, I would love to hear them.
It is a tremendously interesting situation that has developed, don't you think. Two major brokerages (Yes, please excuse me for calling Scottrade a major brokerage) disallowing buys on EXPH, and now NITE being removed from making a market on last of the big three...tis rather a quandry
The Dude
Good evening Venomen2002,
I agree that this product is going to have a big impact on the industry, which will in turn have a rather significant impact on the bottomlines of EXPH and ETC.
I have contacted JD, and I, no doubt, believe that this company is rock-solid, but to see a CEO with that kind of forward thinking initiative to develop such a product is very refreshing and not to mention inspiring.
I have heard people say that it was a miracle that they even survived the terrible economic downturn, but for a CEO to develop such a product, bring on new customers while retaining to older ones puts JD in a class of his own.
So I don't look at EXPH's survival as a miracle...but I would use the words more atune to "of course they survived, JD was at the helm.
I really look forward to what JD has in store for his company(ies) in the near and distant future.
The Dude...
Thanks, Gang-star...I like this board...seems like it is just good people with a lot of talent.
The Dude
I was looking over your board and I really liked the charts and aromas of HEB and TGC...so I bought up a little of them.
The Dude
Thanks for the info, and it is good to be here!
Thanks Mr. Augusta...I look forward to watching you wizards weave your magic!
Good morning everyone!
Hey guys...you are highly recommended by my friend...so I just wanted to say Hi, and see what all the hullabaloo was about?!?!
The Dude is a futures/currencies trader, but likes the thrill of the stockies.
I will definitely keep my eye on you guys...except that Golden Z character...he looks like a fishy chap. What's a Golden Z?!?!
Take care and have a great night, The Dude
LMAO...the big boy bike! The Dude loves it!
Just finished reading far too many posts. So D&D displays has developed interchangeable cabinets?!?!? Hmmmmm, I was looking at IKEA's the other day, very interesting concept.
But I was a little confused. It looks like the cabinets are going to save floor space in the big boy bike stores, if I may, which will directly enhance D&D's bottom-line.
Then the ETC company is going to sell the whole-shiz-kazizzle to the contractor/developer types...which will help ETC and possibly D&D.
Can D&D do all of the construction? Or will some be contracted out, if anyone knows.
Looks like an interesting set up going on. Then the EXPH will be the holding company underwhich all the entities will reside. This cabinet maker is buikding himself an empire...one display at a time.
So why is everyone angry at each other?
The Dude thinks everyone should just love each other, man!
You are incorrect again!
You said, and quoted "NITE shut down the retail market for EXPH."
They did not shut down "THE," definitive, retail market. They are shutting down their retail services regarding EXPH, or getting shut down.
The retail market is still live and well, as you proved by buying.
Sorry to argue semantics, but you seem like an intelligent person who would understand the difference bewteen a definitive "the" and a possessive "their."
The Dude
That is 100% incorrect. You said that you couldn't buy through NITE...so you bought through ETMM. You are retail, so the retail market has been unaffected by this new detail concerning NITE.
What an odd thing to say, especially when you yourself provided the evidence against yourself?!?!
Absolutely! Interesting stock though...the story looks good. I am not much of a stock guy (mainly futures) but my friends say trading pennies is like crack, not that I know what crack is like!?!?!
Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome. Talk to you all later!
And thanks to the admins for changing my name. Had a few too many and thought the first one was funny. Sobered up...and yeah, not so funny!
Take care everyone, The Dude
I agree...definitely sounds like an SEC investigation into NITE's activities.
It is a very easy process to investigate the company's end to see if they have been doing anything wrong...which is most likely what would have been done first.
So now it looks like the problems have been created by NITE themselves.
All of this, coinciding with what seems to be a bottom...hmmmmm!?!?!
Is the company investor friendly? I read that some people have called the CEO...maybe I will give him a call.
Thanks...you too! Good luck to you!
