New iBox is great littlefeets! Thanks for organizing and pulling Bird Gang Stocks together. Not only does it look great it communicate the Important Information.
Congratulations to Doc and Nick on the strategic alliance. This will definitely benefit the site! The Vision and Mission Statement for this board is nothing less than Top Tier results, day-by-day and week-by-week. It is refreshing and motivational, for me, to be a participant in the Bird Gang Stock board!
Count me in.
Tried to get HCKI on Scottrade but it would not go through. This is a monster today.
Here is something interesting from Flying Magazine email this morning. I remember coming into DCA one time in 1978 in a Mooney.
___________
Airport Authority CEO Wants to Ease Restrictions on GA at DCA
Before 9/11, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) was the flagship location for the Signature Flight Support FBO chain. General aviation flights arrived at a rate of approximately 10 per hour. Now, a few general aviation flights in a day is a lot. Last week, James Bennett, president of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said he'd like to change that. He told a forum at the region's Council of Governments headquarters that post-9/11 restrictions on GA flights at DCA should be eased. "That's a very important part of our aviation infrastructure capacity at Reagan National — we'd certainly like to see that returned," he said. GA flights were banned outright at DCA for four years after the 2001 terror attacks, then reinstated with strict controls, including departures from approved "gateway" airports. FAA Eastern Region administrator Carmine Gallo said the topic is generating "ongoing aggressive discussion." Gallo said, "National is an attractive potential terrorist target and requires extraordinary measures."
Fully agree with your assessment. Right now stock is at a strategic resting point.

Princess,
Your concise and lucid State of the Union and State of the World is totally on target and in-focus. It communicates a hard-line reality that few wish to acknowledge and even fewer are willing to discuss.
Keeping these facts in mind, daily, will benefit those who are fortunate enough and educated enough to benefit from the wisdom.
Slowing down is an issue that is difficult for all Cirrus pilots. Absolutely imperative to remember that, with power off, you have to slow down by raising the nose before putting the nose down.
One day I was coming through ADIZ to KJYO or KHEF at 170 KT until almost on top of airport. Maintaining this speed was not a problem that day for me, otherwise I would of advised "unable to maintain speed". It takes time to get comfortable with slowing down. Initially, do not push it. Comfort ability will come with time. Much better to come into pattern at 120 KT that be hot.
One day at KMGW I did have to go around for being too hot. My passenger was totally comfortable with the missed approach.
The SR22 can be a very challenging aircraft for a new pilot. When I bought mine I had been inactive for 25 years. To say that there was a great deal to learn is an understatement. Bottom line is that this is one beautiful and state-of-the-art machine.
You are a wise man my friend in the use of CDM [Critical Decision Making].
It is a whole lot better to be on the ground looking up, than to be looking down and trying to figure out how to safely get back onto the ground.
Flight Into Snow Procedure -- Call Santa or maybe --
If accumulation starts to build then don't have "brain fade" to turn on the TKS (pilots who keep a snow shovel handy probably know the drill). I remember the first time accumulation started to build in flight and being a generally warm weather pilot I went through the decision process and procedure to to activate the TKS system.
Or maybe an alternative is, that with a few more good trades, you could get a new bird with FIKI. However, Duluth is sort of chilly at this time of year.
This should apply to MMUH. It is a significant and import post.
Thanks for the update Doc. I was reading through posts and wanted to get the Monday focus.
Judging from peformance last week and so far today your .10 target might be reached before EOW.
Doc, do you have an update for this week?
Did you go IFR or VFR?
Kastlem, I use the iHub L2. Not personally familiar with TD Ameritrade.
Pauly, to follow up on Bert's straight comment, I expect and agree that the market opening tomorrow on MMUH will be volatile. Level 2, before opening, will provide a factual basis for your entry. If you cannot safely find or execute an entry be patient and wait for the 9:50 to 10 am reversal. There should be a window of calm for a few minutes before the expected run-up.
This parallels my assessment for Monday.
____
i think the gap may be bigger, and may attempt to fill, but the rest of your prediction is in line with what i was thinking.
____
Great post. This is a topic of concern to many. Volatlity certainly makes MMUH unique.
Welcome back: May the Force be with you.
Star Wars -- "May the Force be with you" was a phrase used to wish luck, generally when individuals parted ways or the object of the expression was facing some sort of imminent challenge. The phrase implied the speaker's wish that the power of the Force would be working alongside the addressee, in order that the addressee's goals would be more effectively accomplished.
Plane withdrawal for now. Full motion Cirrus simulator at KRYY [Cobb County McCollum] have you flown that? Entering and exiting DC ADIZ is always interesting, hope you do not have to do that on your Atlanta - VA excursion. Good trip length, ideal for mission profile of Cirrus.
Welcome Linda. This is a dynamic and opinionated place to spend time.
This looks like consolidation. Inexpensive shares have changed hands.
Doc, this is a focused and aggressive group in Bird Gang Stocks. I look forward to following the action.

F.D.A. Can’t Regulate Electronic Cigarettes
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: January 14, 2010
A federal judge says the Food and Drug Administration overstepped its authority in efforts to regulate electronic cigarettes. Regulators began halting shipments of electronic cigarettes last year. The F.D.A. said it found cancer-causing ingredients in the products, despite manufacturers’ claims that they are safer than tobacco cigarettes. The agency argued that electronic cigarettes, which use a battery-operated vaporizer to produce a nicotine mist, are a combination drug-device, and therefore subject to stricter safety standards than cigarettes. But Judge Richard Leon of Federal District Court agreed with manufacturers that electronic cigarettes are “the functional equivalent of traditional cigarettes.”

FDA can't block import of 'electronic cigarettes,' judge rules
By Del Quentin Wilber

A federal judge ruled Thursday that the Food and Drug Administration may not block the importation of "electronic cigarettes," battery-powered versions of conventional smokes.
Two e-cigarette suppliers, Florida-based Smoking Everywhere and Arizona-based Sottera, sued the FDA over its decision to block and confiscate their products.
Regulators consider e-cigarettes, which deliver nicotine without tobacco or combustion, to be unapproved drug devices and has told makers that they must first get federal approval for them.
The FDA believes that electronic cigarettes are a "drug-device combination," not a tobacco product, and are subject to stricter regulations than cigarettes or cigars. For at least a year, the FDA has confiscated e-cigarettes when they reach U.S. ports.
In granting a temporary injunction blocking the FDA from confiscating or preventing the importation of e-cigarettes, U.S. District Judge Richard J. Leon ruled that the devices are essentially a modern-day tobacco product. He found that the FDA had overstepped its authority in trying to block their importation.
"This case appears to be yet another example of FDA's aggressive efforts to regulate recreational tobacco products as drugs or devices," Leon wrote. "Unfortunately, its tenacious drive to maximize its regulatory power has resulted in its advocacy of an interpretation of the relevant law that I find, at first blush, to be unreasonable and unacceptable."
Time on that press release about court review was: JANUARY 14, 2010, 3:16 P.M. ET. Response of the stock was immediate. It is clear that 1) someone read the news wire and immediately communicated that information to traders and 2) some traders think that MMUH now represents a stock to move some funds into.
MMUH will be interesting to watch when the market opens.
