Yeah great job Rocky and everyone else keeping us informed on the specs of the company. Im gonna buy some more while its so low.
Im in it for the long haul. Wish I had extra money to buy more!!
I need to add more. Gotta scrape up a few hundred.
Yep ACTC has filed a patent application for this process as they are the ones that developed the procedure. Once the patent is approved ACTC will control who uses the procedure and who doesnt.
There was an article in the NYT Friday about the ruling. Rod Stoddart who is the executive director of Nightlight Christian Adoptions, who was one of the original plaintiffs in the suit said that "if there was a way of extracting the stem cells without destroying them(embryos), I would not be opposed to it." Come on patent!
So Im guessing this is officially patented now?? If so joy joy joy!!
I bought another $100 worth which is all I can afford every couple weeks but hey it adds up. Just keep buying in small increments and you wont get so worked up. I learned that lesson long ago with this stock.
Im the eternal optimist so I keep buying when I can. This stock although up and down over the last few years is sticking around and the company seems pretty stable. I had always planned to go long with this stock from the start.
Im glad I sold 5000 shares today. I just needed some money and it went through before the mess started. Of course I'll buy it back at some point but vet bills are crazy for me.
Actually I think the NIH can still give the lines approval unless a judge puts a stay order in place until a verdict/decision is reached in the courts.
Welcome to our happy family! You are correct, we arent pumpers or bashers...most of us are pretty realistic and take that approach to the stock. I think I would be safe to say that most if not everyone on this board are long on this stock. Im no expert but it looks like it may trend a bit lower until we get some news from the NIH or FDA. Until then its a great time to buy and add which is what I will be doing. I own around 15k shares and add when I can afford to. This company is set to lead the way in emb. stem cell research.
I sent Melly a note too. ;)
Fox Business just did a bit about how it would be wise to invest in biotech microcaps and stay long with them. :)
I wish I had that kind of scratch laying around where I could get around Louisa's amount of shares. But Im happy with the 15k I have currently...I add as I can afford. Im really nervous that the stock market is in store for a major correction soon as many in the financial circles are predicting. It probably is overpriced quite a bit. Probably only a marginal if any effect on our stock but still..
Im not gonna sell. Im gonna ride it out to the end..whatever the end brings.
Hopefulstem...here's your answer...

I listen to Coast to Coast every night coming home from work and like has been said...yeah there are a few "unusual" shows from time to time but most are very informative shows with good information about different things/issues. I bet Lanza will do a little plug for ACT too. He'd be nuts not to at least give it a mention or two. Any exposure is good.
From reading through the response it seems some of the issues are simply clerical in nature. Wasily remedied. The other rejections will require revisiting by the ACT staff, but in all nothing major to overcome in these rejections from what I could read. Mostly just further clarifications on certain procedures.
Fun would be even a minor rise...which there is no indicator of at the moment.
ok didnt know how long it had been up there. I had noticed that when I was looking at what Yahoo had about ACT and noticed that. I know that its pretty much meaningless but it sure looked good anyway. :)
Great story! Another positive PR story for the company. Im still buying when I can.
The debentures are probably what is holding the price back currently.
My opinion is that NIH will happen first.
Should have no bearing on RPE at all.
Patience is the big key with this one. There may be an initial push in the near future where some may cash out but those who are wise will stay in for a few years or more and watch things really blossom. Im gonna keep adding as I can and then sit back and watch the fun.
Good insight. That makes me feel a little better. I confess I didnt really know a lot about Caldwell's background although I could have researched it I suppose. I was still planning to keep on buying just maybe not as much but maybe now I'll step it up a notch when I buy in the future. I have around 12k shares right now.
Well I bought 2000 more shares. Just adding here and there as I can. The finances sorta spook me but the potential is unreal if ACT can work through the lean times.
yeah glad your safe! Was that the plant in Connecticut your talking about?
zDont worry the worst is yet to come for the stock market.
Wow....that filing really bummed me after reading through it. I may be reading too much into it, but it doesnt sound like the company is on good footing at all.
Yeah I agree..ONLY invest what you can afford to lose. I plan on buying more but only enough so that I dont have to worry in a worst case scenario and things go South. Id like to maybe get around 10k more which would put me around 20k shares and then sit back and wait. I think only positive things will happen but still keep an open mind about things and avoid tunnel vision.
Yeah I wish I had more money to buy with too. I have around 10k shares which is all Ive been able to afford to this point, but plan on getting a lot more when I get my tax refund.
haha...all us ACTCers could go on a cruise and celebrate.
Wow..if that presentation doesnt get you pumped up nothing will.
I know one thing..when I get my tax refund Im gonna really load up on shares.
Volume over 9 million!! woohoo!
Welcome to the ACT family! You can get some good info. by clicking the headlines at the ACT website(Advancedcell.com). But basically ACT is about to be the first stem cell company to begin human trials once the go is given from the FDA. Most of us think the go ahead has already been given but the company is holding off announcing to join it with another announcement..maybe a nice big grant. Somthing is going on because the stock is starting to see a lot more activity than its seen lately. You are smart if you jump in now while the price is so darn cheap cause it aint gonna be that way in the not to distant future.
The volume sure was high today for ACT. Much higher than it has been lately.
ok someone clue me in on the "S-1 registration".
Well you were smart for not selling at .26. Its gonna be worth a lot more than that as time goes by. The price will move up on the announcement of FDA approval but how much is anyone's guess. But Im thinking a few years down the road when the post trial treatment is approved, thats when things get fun for the shareholders.
