Lools like Virtra had a total of 5 government defense contracts for a total of just under 1 million dollars in 2011. Maybe we'll get much much more this year. Or maybe next year. Or maybe the year after that. I'll bet 2020 looks promising.

Brown and the Quantico Marines saw immense training value in NSASP's new virtual training simulator. Acquired from VirTra Systems, the simulator offers a highly-realistic, cost-effective way to not only re-enforce law enforcement basics, but also test officers on applying those basic in diverse, customizable scenarios. Comparing the new system to its predecessors is a bit like comparing an Atari to the latest X-Box. Gone are the cheesy graphics and clumsy training weapons, with their attached air hoses. The large, multi-scene display fills peripheral vision and the only perceivable difference between training weapons is the real deal are refillable, recoil-providing CO2 cartridges that fit into the weapons' magazine wells. Instructors can control virtual scenarios in real time, guiding exercises based off things like an officer's verbal commands. Scenarios can be as simple as a simulated range session, or as complex as a raid on a bomb-maker in the Middle East.
"I like this [system] a whole lot better than stuff I've used in the past," said Brown. "The 3-D effect and multiple weapons. I like it."

Sir Felix - Did you retire from this board?
Tired investor
Macd has been going up for a month. RSI is beginning to go down. Does any of this mean anything? I don't know. I'm growing tired of holding. I believe in the company but I think i have to many eggs in this basket. Not going to sell here but if a run happens I just might cut down considerably. I know the whole vtsi story but does anybody else feel the same way?

Sino credit default swaps take another jump
John Greenwood Jun 10, 2011 – 7:18 PM ET
The cost of insurance on Sino-Forest C0rp. bonds is going up. Again.
Credit default swap spreads on five-year Sino debt soared to 2,794 basis points by the close of Friday, up more than 40% from the previous day, according to Markit, a London-based financial information firm. Since the middle of last week the spread has more than quadrupled.
In plain English that means that to ensure $10-million of Sino bonds against default on Friday, you would pay $2.794-million, compared to $1.994-million on Thursday.

I don't understand why everyone says there are currently 11 Gander Mountain Academies. Even the link to the article from post 31504 listed 11 current academies. Where is a link that lists all 11. It's not on Gander's site. They list 4. I would be happy to just see a list of 11 that's planned to be operational by years end.
The only 11's I can find relating to the 2 million dollar order from Gander is it was PR'd on April 11, 2011.
VTSI attention seems to be growing. Docstoc released a report yesterday on vtsi. Although it's $25 to read. This morning financial8 on vtsi is at the top of google.

New Press Release from Virtra
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=47373783&symbol=VTSI
Michael Moran was his name. His # is 973-873-7780. He called my mom and wanted to talk about Virtra Systems. She told him that her son added them to her portfolio and she doesn't know much. She hasn't voted yet so I don't know if that's what triggered the call or not. Have not talked to him so I don't know his agenda.
At about 1:02 of the cc they were asked about a boat gunnery and an aerial system. Bob answered that it is still in their plans but that they have yet to release a product. On Jan. 5 they registered COMBATTRAININGSIMULATOR.COM. Who knows what the timeline for this or what deals are currently in the works. But is it to far out there to guess that they will have enough news to support share price post reverse split without even having to use company money? There has to be bigger things coming in order for them to want to make all these changes now. I know it's all speculation but there are signs of more things to come. I guess without giving us more reasons to see the whole plan they have we are now put in a position to either trust them or not. I want them to continue with their plans. I see more possible upside potential than downside. Just to let everybody know I will not get in a back and fourth discussion with anybody because I'm not looking to change anybody's mind about anything. Just sharing my opinion.
Article in The Street about uplisting seems that Virtra is doing things that should be acceptable. Here is a piece of it.
Fact No. 4 . Reverse splits are a sign of good things for companies on the way up, but a sign of bad things for companies on the way down.
In order to meet the minimum share price requirements for Nasdaq, many companies will conduct a reverse split. This is perfectly acceptable to the exchange, and the post-split share price will be evaluated accordingly.
Using a reverse split to raise the share price and obtain an uplisting is a very positive sign for a company and is much different than companies that use a reverse split to prevent being delisted. Once again, the confusion relates to delisting as opposed to uplisting. Many people who don't focus on uplistings only encounter reverse splits in the context of companies that are trying to stave off a delisting, so in many people's eyes a reverse split is a sign of a troubled company.
For the relative few of us focused on uplistings, a reverse split is typically the first catalyst that attracts attention to the potential uplisting and is considered a very good event.
On the yahoo board someone found that Bob registered a new domain till Jan. 2021. Wonder what his plans are for it?

Operate with two directors
Bob said that was a clean up item suggested by their lawyer based on the size company they are. Its not their intent to reduce to two. If one becomes unavailable they would like to be able to continue operations without being forced to fill the position and start paying stock options regardless if they were qualified or not.
This does not seem unreasonable to me. Again anyone can pick apart anything said and start including intentions that were never stated. I say let them continue their plan. Also Bob has 6.6 million shares. He's considered the risk of a $8 stock price being driven back down lower. With the company's upward trend and Nasdaq inclusion looming he feels Virtra can overcome that. If he feels his 6.6 million shares are worth the risk for the benefits of what the Nasdaq inclusion would mean for the company then I'm on board with my shares to.
Thought I would have to wait for the ask to come down to .072 like every other time I buy.
I put a buy in at .072 for 50000 and it's filled 28000 in many many chunks at the bid price of .072 and not the ask of .074

If Bob does check out this board I hope he doesn't call in sick tomorrow. He's always kept company info pretty secretive and tomorrow will probably be no different. Personally I think he has done a great job turning this company around. He's got a vision of what he wants and my money will stay put unless he gives me a reason to leave. This split isn't it. I don't know what he knows. If I wasn't comfortable with him and Don running this business I wouldn't be a shareholder. I will give them the benefit of the doubt on the split because I like what they have done so far.
I like the $50 Gander Mtn. gift card to anybody that completes a class at the academy. I think that's a great hook to pull in anybody that might think it's a little to expensive. Get them in so they can tell all their friends and co-workers and anybody else.

I've been thinking about what Bob said in the last pr.
The land was purchased to permit expected expansion, however, the unexpected Gander Mountain Academy rollout required VirTra to obtain a larger facility in a short period of time, rather than having time to build on the land.
Seems to me they have a lot more going on than we know. Why the immediate rush to the larger facility just to supply one store opening with another four or so opening this year. Seems like they should of been able to handle that easily. So that leads me to believe they have only just began to tell us what's coming down the road. They're working on many big deals.
Virtual Range Purchase Time $40 for 30 minutes
GM-300 Instructor Assisted 300 Simulation $70 for 30 minutes
GM-300 Marksmanship 300 Simulation $55 for 30 minutes
GM-180 Instructor Assisted 180 Simulation $60 for 30 minutes
GM-180 Marksmanship 180 Simulation $45 for 30 minutes
Just in case people wondered about prices this is from GM Academy website.
In my scottrade elite I have an available buying power number for buying marginable stocks. Right under that I have a available free cash number that is exactly 1/2 the total available buying power number that I can use on anything. And believe me that number is not at the moment any of my cash sitting there. I'm in the hole. I'm using their money on safer stocks like apple and lvs and crm. My available free cash number increases daily(depending on market). Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.
As far as money deposit I can deposit money and it might have to clear for stocks under $4 but I still have that available free cash number I can use.
Apply for a margin account. You don't have to use their money (but it's hard not to) but they give you instant access to your money. At scottrade with a margin account I can buy and sell as many times as I want with no waiting for settlement dates.
Lockheed Martin seems to be a logical candidate for the material contract with a customer who they wont disclose. They made five or so purchases and they witheld information then. If Lockheed liked what they tried out enough time has passed for them to figure out what they want to do with it. I guess time will tell if the big time is upon virtra now or this so called material contract isn't even worth mentioning again. This stock is tough because everything looks so promising but they leave so much to speculate on. It's also tough to watch the market rally while this position keeps taking a step forward and then a step backwards. Will continue to hold and hope for the best.
Maybe a simpler question for them to answer would be
Which Christmas can I expect to buy my wife a new car?
