Today was great. Something definitely seems to be brewing here. Nice volume and a beautiful setup on the chart.
I don't think they'll face a very high social hurdle. Their products are all about practicality for the working class. At the right price point I think anyone would be fine with robots taking care of the chores. They also have a strong military division much like Boston Dynamics. I picked some up last year and they've done well for me.
No IRBT on your list of robot stocks?
Do you see a Q on this ticker?
Nice pop. End of the year covering here?
Exactly. It appears that only a few types of spirits have specific requirements for using the term "aged" in labeling.
Whiskey and brandy, for example, have an aging requirement of at least 3 years. While tequila needs only a year to obtain the classification. Vodka, rum and gin have no guidelines on aging but can be aged.
So it appears as though the use of this term is simply to describe the time spent in a barrel with the ingredients that give it the final flavor before filtration. Any argument over the validity of the term "aged" is really a moot point.
Lots of false promises made by this "essential" crew. This appears to be another. It will be interesting to hear if the BK judge calls BS
Does it say how long?
The term "aged" really doesn't mean much of anything. Without being defined it's really just an abstract marketing term.
Do you know they don't have inventory that is already "aging"?
Technically that is true.. but they can be filtered back to clear again. There are plenty of vodkas and tequilas on the market that have been aged in barrels that are filtered clear again. It is not hard to find them.
For example: Qui Platinum Extra Anejo Tequila
"Qui is 100% Highlands double-distilled agave which is aged for 3 1/2 years in ex-Bourbon and Bordeaux barrels before being filtered to white."
Yo SF. I know you had been eyeing up the tvix for a market correction. Seems to be on the move today. Any thoughts on a market correction with the budget deal talks and the Fed mumbling about scaling back on easing? TIA bud
Keep it on OCZ please. I know its a bit dead lately and its a good crowd here so its not a big deal. I just see the conversation taking a tangent toward sports. Talk about whatever.. just throw OCZ a bone in your posts so I dont have to moderate
I hate to be the contrarian but I have a feeling we close at 2.23. That would instill a sense of snafu with a hint of bohica. Keeps everyone guessing.
True. "Not recommended for children, nursing or pregnant women, or those sensitive to caffiene". Which is really something that should appear on just about every soft drink made. But there's nothing about nausia, dizziness, motor vehicles or otherwise on most energy drinks. Some have warnings about limits per day or mixing with alcohol but most don't.
But we're also comparing drinks available to everyone vs drinks available through dispensaries. Seems like a discussion that should occur with the doctor rather than through a micro print warning label. I'm just not sure I see the point of warning labels on the cans.
Exactly. I feel ill every time I drink a Monster or Rockstar yet I don't see any warning labels on those about the potential to get sick from the active ingredients. I just don't drink them anymore.
Reactions to active ingredients happen all the time for a variety of reasons. It's impossible to warn about every possible scenario on the product label and I'd be willing to bet a similar percentage of people have adverse reactions to taurine as they do THC. But people are alright without a warning label on their synthesized bull bile...
You know that almost every company uses stock photography, right? There's a big industry for it because amateur photography doesn't really work well in magazines. Besides, the ad is about the industry.. it's not a product shot.
It's really reaching to point this out as the smoking gun of a scam. Sorry you spent time on this.
Says the guy yelling TIMBER when it pulls back a few pennies...
Guess who just sold and went short.. LOL!
Talk about master of the obvious!
A narcotic with "no medicinal value" is, by definition, an absolute lie.
I would love for that to happen but it doesn't really have the volume to suggest a merger leak. Looks more like 1.50 shorts covering on the pinch. If we get another 2m+ volume day and a close over the previous high then I would agree that this ship is moving to calmer waters but I don't think were quite there yet
Wow Ace. I wouldnt have pictured you to be such a prepper. I would agree with your sentiment though. It seems inevitable with the current monetary policies and political shenanigans. We're just painting a pretty picture and stretching out the timeline.
Nice contrarian rally here. They release absurdly overdue fugly financials that ought to land the execs in hot water with the SEC... and up we gooooo.
Yeah.. that about sums up the market these days.
Well that's always a welcome sight. Any idea on the catalyst?
Well said. At this point I'm inclined to think that a buyout is more likely than getting the house in order but I hope they prove me wrong
Yes. Just waiting for a bit of volume to break this channel one way or the other. This could go either way in the short term depending on what chart you're reading.
Straight vertical! Silver raising the roof today
Buy the fear!
Stuck my toes in the water at 1.38... Still feels a bit chilly. I expected a little more bump from the loading that started in the mid 30s but I doubt they get it much lower.
And I agree. Anybody using SA to time their trades is getting fleeced.
Brutal drop here. The market and the bipolar twits at seeking alpha don't seem to like this deal much. But when they're done loading I'm sure we'll see a followup article about more major milestones.
The bigger the drop...
Good trade. You really think it will get that low again?
I'm thinking support in the high 3.70s to low 80s somewhere. There was a lot of resistance there that just got crushed. Today's close should help set the table.
Definitely appears to be the case. I'll jump back in when this parabolic spike takes a breather. I like how this positions us going forward.
Well that was quick. Hit my target at 4.12 and took me out. Still going strong though. Something happen today?
Nice move. Closing the gap to 4
DIAPER MONEY LOADING BIG>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Guess I should expect by now that a close at HOD gets knocked down in the morning. Seems to be a pattern with stocks these days. Support is mid 80s or do we test the moving averages again?
Exactly. Good trade either way.
Long term I believe OCZ is headed back to 3+ but the trading lately has broken my resolve to just ride out the waves on the way up. It's one of the few that runs up fast and then erodes slowly and many times right back to where she started. I set my limit at 1.97 cause I wasn't here to watch today never expecting it to actually get there. Now I feel like I should've left some on the table. Lol! I want to have my cake and eat it!! Guess I'll be picking a new entry.
Wow. Didnt expect such a strong day here today. Got taken out but if this follows through and holds above 2 then i'll be right back in. The volume doesnt suggest a leak just yet. Any ideas?
Sure looks like a breakout. Let's see if this follows through on Monday or corrects a bit before another push for the 2s.
Sometimes that's how it works. Depends on the terms of the acquisition and the value of the companies. Could be a straight stock swap, a swap ratio, a cash buyout, or retiring the old stock with terms. There are a lot of possibilities on how it could go down but considering the value of the companies that would potentially acquire OCZ I would say it is very unlikely to be a bad experience for OCZ shareholders. Especially from this depressed price. But that's why it's at this price... no one can confirm if an offer is even in the mix.
Boom! Love the movement here today. Close in the 60s and this could be a nice trend reversal.
