Ambient Corporation Approves Reverse Stock Split; Board of Directors May Implement at its Discretion
Action Expected to Aid Efforts to List on NASDAQ
Boston, Mass., February 17, 2011 - Ambient Corporation (OTCBB: ABTG), a leader in smart grid communications infrastructure, filed a preliminary Information Statement on Schedule 14C with the Securities and Exchange Commissions on February 16, by Ambient's Board of Directors and its majority stockholder of a reverse stock split of Ambient's common stock, within a specified range (of 1 share for 30 shares to 1 share for 100 shares), at any time on or before December 31, 2011, which the Board of Directors may implement (if at all) in its discretion.
A reverse stock split would be implemented (if at all) primarily in order to increase Ambient's prospects of successfully listing its common stock with the Nasdaq Capital Market.
"We believe that, given our current size and balance sheet position, our stock would meet all of the quantitative listing requirements for the Nasdaq Capital Market, other than those relating to the minimum bid price for listed shares," said John J. Joyce, President and CEO of Ambient Corporation. "In all likelihood, a reverse stock split in the appropriate ratio would help us reach and maintain that minimum bid price. We believe listing Ambient on the Nasdaq Capital Market would make Ambient a very attractive option for institutional investors."
Additional information relating to the foregoing is included in the preliminary Information Statement filed with the SEC.
I call 'em like I seem 'em! It's the truth! 10+ years - nothing has changed except the members of this board.
SSDD - Buy out - $1 per share - profits - partnerships - - been hearing this BS for over 10 years now - and what do we have - a 10 cent POS stock. Like I said - SSDD.
Someone tell me why the party is not over....???? Did Elvis forget to leave the building - again! "Give me one reason to stay here - and I'll turn right back around" - yikes - it's Friday already!
Pardon me if waiting 10 years for this so called "BIG JUMP" makes me a bit cynical about this stock! If it's gonna jump - bring it on! Either that or bring it down below .10 and I'll buy even more of this POS - just because - it's pocket change!
Did everyone here jump out of their Wall Street windows! Awfully quiet! Did your balloon get popped - again!
Sprint Networks Link Generators, Distributors and Customers
Connectivity and innovation make the grid smarter
October 18, 2010 7:03 AM EDT WASHINGTON----The electric utility industry is transforming the way it operates. A significant part of that change is to make the electric grid smarter by overlaying a communications system linking generators, distributors and consumers.
Sprint (NYSE: S) is playing an integral role in upgrading our nation's electric infrastructure as it continues to build a smart grid portfolio of solutions that optimize grid performance. Today at GridWeek in Washington, D.C. Sprint announced that Itron Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) and Ambient Corporation (OTCBB: ABTG) have received Sprint network certification. Itron's history of technology leadership in utility solutions, including the OpenWay smart metering and data management solution, along with Ambient's flexible smart grid communication architecture and Sprint's network assets, bring the smart grid promise one step closer.

Hmmmmmmm????? What's happened here? Is the party over and the host forget to tell us to leave the building?
Oh Anna ..... where's your PR email????
Let's see ..... .25 or .10 PPS ..... which way will it go!
It's about time that Anna poops out another press release. Maybe tomorrow pre-open?
And on the same note - let's hope no one is listening to your unrealistic pumping of ABTG. There's an outside chance, if Vicis doesn't pull the rug out from under all of us - that we will - MAYBE - and I mean - MAYBE - see .20 per share. But Vicis has to sit tight with their holdings until something substantial happens with ABTG - oh yeah - like actually being named as a real company in one of the trade journal articles that get posted here from time to time. Do the math! That's 1,500,000,000 billion shares! 83% of which is held by Vicis. Check out all them zeros! Now go look at how much Vicis has invested in ABTG and figure out what PPS would turn a healthy profit for them. It's about maybe .05 cents! And you still think we're going to see .25 to .50 per share??? The ONLY thing working in our favor is that if Vicis tried to sell off their holdings, it would probably drive the PPS down to below 1 cent. Maybe this rise in PPS and its subsequent "consolidation" - yeah right - is just a cool strategy on Vicis' part to slowly ease out of their holdings? JMHO - of course!
Vicis, I hate to tell you, doesn't give a rat's butt about whether or not you and I make any money off of ABTG. You have most definitely hit on a point that's been in the back of every informed ABTG investor's mind - for years now - and that is - what IF Vicis decides to take their money and run? We are all SCREWED! Hey maybe if you hold a million shares of ABTG, you may end up with 6 shares of Cisco or Verizon! Whoopie!!!!!
OK - what do you think is pushing the PPS up? What's so different about this rise compared to the previous increases in PPS and then the eventual collapse. I'm all ears! More coffee - please!
Here's what's going on this week with ABTG. The market maker, slim-balls as they are and always have been, have been creating a false uplift in the PPS so that they can unload their excess inventory of shares. That's all this is. Watch the PPS drop again today. JMHO of course.
Right - and all we've done is make a bit of chump change after years of waiting. Whooppie!
Seems that the party is over! Congrats to those who bailed at .15 - nice move!
There is news behind this rise in PPS - IMHO as there always has been in the past, and, as in the past, as soon as the news hits the wires, the stock will drop like a star ship being attacked by the Dark Side!
If you want out - now's the time! IMHO of course!
I love that wolf-like creature riding that lawn tractor. Excellent!
Somebody, at the close, took their money, and ran for the hills! Wonder who!!!!
My considered opinion is the you haven't got a clue wrt ABTG and its potential, or lack thereof!
"multi-billion dollar company in 3-5 years." Whatever drugs you're on brother - I want some!
If this "push" is enough to get me to my break even point - I will be so far gone from this stock it will take light years to catch me!
Right - like this is going to help our PPS! NOT!
OK - so let's have some serious postings about whether or not this should be perceived as good or bad news. Or is it ssdd? Have at it!
I hope you're all correct - but again - we've been around this block so many times before. If I hadn't written off this stock years ago, I'd be selling into this rise in share price. If I had a buck for everyone who said "this stock will be a buck next year" - I could probably buy that Lexus I've always wanted!
I would not get too excited here folks. Unless we see the volume hit around 25 million - there ain't nothing to be celebrating. This is just market manipulation. Might be in anticipation of some news but again, by the time the news comes out - if any - the stock price will have already been discounted. How many times have we all been around this block before!
I surely don't know - maybe somebody out there does - but - what in the world is it going to take to get this supposedly great stock to increase in value? I've never seen so much good press and positive financial results, with absolutely zero effect on the pps. Very disappointing.
If it goes to .20 by the end of the year I'll surely be a happy seller of ABTG! How about you? If it goes to .01 - I won't have any choice but to double, triple, quadruple or more - down, with my number of shares. How about you? Personally I hope it does go to .01 and then go up to .20.
You are so welcome!
Experience with this stock!
I have to admit - at .08 per share, this is looking like a really good buy now. With the forecast of .20 by year's end - this could be a money maker. I think I'll buy a bunch.
Believe what you will. This company has way too many shares issued and outstanding for the stock price to move upward. ABTG's only play at this point in time is a buyout and I don't even hear rumors of that happening - and I have close contact with this company. With all of the "good news" that's been pouring out of their PR office, the stock has not responded, except negatively. This ought to be screaming at you as a sign of its fate. For all intents and purposes, this stock is dead. If you're holding any profitable shares, now would be the time to cash in as I do believe we'll be seeing .01 very soon.
No matter how you slice it - JJ has been promising an uplift in share value for years now - and it still hasn't materialized due the massive dilution. I have no expectation that this year will be any different. If you believe him, then load up. I don't. The only possible event that could lift the share value at this point is a buy out and only if it's at a reasonable price. Other than that, this stock will sit right were it is - almost worthless.
From the mouth of JJ himself - the notorious broken record - year after year after year!
"While 2009 did not have the growth anticipated, the Company made significant progress with our technology and signed key contracts positioning us for a strong 2010 and beyond," stated John J. Joyce, President and CEO of Ambient Corporation."
If that doesn't mean "this is the year" like de-ja-vue all over again ie like the last 10 years, I don't know what is!
You should read your Ambient emails more carefully.
Maybe you should join the head-in-the-sand club over on the yahoo board. You seem to be pretty touchy about my pointed questions. If you got rational thoughts about why anyone would buy this stock, let's hear it!
Wow! Lost of BS on the Yahoo board - lots of ABTG holders that don't want to see the forest as they say. For the last ten years ABTG has announced that "this is the year" of whatever! Really??? Why should 2010 be any different? HELLO - 2010 is already 1/4 OVER! I'm all ears folks. So they got a few major companies looking at their products. This has been true for years and still - here we sit at .10. I still think there's just too many shares issued and outstanding for the price to move anywhere but down. JMHO! Please tell me why I'm wrong!
What's wrong with this picture?
Revenues for the 2009 Period were $2,193,338, compared to $12,622,353, for the 2008 Period.
Profits for the 2009 Period was $356,792 compared to $2,680,344 for the 2008 Period.
Would someone please tell me why anyone would purchase stock in a company that has lost revenue and profit on a scale of more than 10 to 1 from 2008 to 2009?
What am I missing here?
This stock has been a "big whoop" for the last 10 years! Probably will be for the next 10!
Yep - I've been accumulating this stock for over 10 years now. Have more shares than I'm willing to admit. Still waiting. Still waiting. Still waiting. Hope I'm not dead when this finally pops! I'm still hoping to own a Lexus before I kick the bucket! ABTG is my only chance at that!
And on and on we go!
No matter how you read this, it doesn't speak well for ABTG. This is going to hurt ABTG stockholders. Maybe Verizon will bail us out. UGH...just when I thought we were on a roll here, we learn that we're involved with less than reputable venture capitalists! Nothing has changed.

Good point - as long as that base holds for us - which is seems to be doing nicely!
