If it matters any,
I dropped the DIVECAM.NET web site. I wasn't selling enough cameras on the net to justify the effort, and I wasn't putting in as much effort as I should have. I still push cameras sales for public safety dive teams and send them directly to SEVU.COM. I also purchase cameras for our own dive team. So "technically" I am not a "dealer" anymore but an investor as are most people here.
I'll do whatever the board wants. I haven't seen a post that needed to be deleted since Ole French Fry Frankie left the scene fleeing from the SEC guys chasing after him in the Cayman Islands.
I think Shamus IS rather negative on some issues and not as optimistic as I would like for a moderator, but he hasn't necessarily done a bad job that would justify a re-call election.
BTW- I live in south Texas and nowhere near the SEVU headquarters. Cabos Tacos lives in Florida. I have only met George and Mike once at a ASIS convention in San Antonio and have no reason to doubt their integrity or the positive direction the company is going. I believe SEVU is on the right track for future success and have been impressed with recent developments and press releases.
I suggest you carry a "fanny pack". It allows for easy access and you can carry extra magazines in the pouch. It is a "giveway" that you are carrying a weapon and not necessarily a bad thing.
You may want to look at the glock model 23. That is my off duty weapon.

Why don't you call him yourself?
Or does SEVU have a block on your number by now? When I check my rolodex, George's name and number is not in there as one of my regular contacts. The last and only time I talked to George in person was at the ASIS convention in San Antonio 2+ years ago. Did you think that because I sell some seaview cameras as an internet store front that gives me a bat phone direct connect to George?
I think George has better things to do than talk about the price of SEVU eggs in China, especially to a small time dealer like myself.
Sheeeeee'ssssssssss
Mad,
I hardly consider myself an insider. I have a website that sells seaview cameras and I renamed their product the "Divecam". The only knowledge I have above the average Joe is that I know what the retail and wholesale prices are. Someone orders from me at retail price, and I pass the order on to seaview with wholesale pricing. That hardly makes me an insider.
It doesn't matter what you say Bac,
MadH will always be disgruntled and a complainer. Some people are just like that, need to complaint to add significance to their existence.
I complain, therefore I am.
Bummer to be you..
RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (Reuters) - Finding a job in Brazil may be tough, especially when your records say that you are dead, as 25-year-old unemployed driver Marcio Freitas da Silva discovered.
The problem is that when another man of the same name and age died three years ago, coroners wrote the names of the living da Silva's parents in the death certificate, "murdering" him for official records.
"It's a humiliating situation when others make mistakes and I have to prove that I'm alive," da Silva told Globo television Monday, complaining that he had been told during his ordeal that a dead man "cannot drive vehicles on federal highways."
The civil registry office has already revitalized da Silva, but the new documents, issued late last year, have not reached most government offices. Globo showed an election official eagerly explaining to da Silva that, alive or not, he could not vote while his record said he was dead.
I thought all that was over with. eom
Mad, I think you can see that the
tide is turning for the better. The new management team is pushing hard and getting results. This last press release was very good news and has the potential for huge returns. Companies don't sign 5 year contacts if they think you are going under. This looks very promising.

SeaView's PowerLine Vision(TM) to be Featured at Waste Expo 2003
Thursday May 29, 9:53 am ET
Largest North American Trade Show Serving the $43 Billion Solid Waste and Recycling Market
PowerLine Vision(TM) to be Displayed And Demonstrated by Nine Key Fleet Equipment Suppliers and Integrators
TIERRA VERDE, Fla., May 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SeaView Video Technology, Inc. [OTC Bulletin Board: SEVU] which designs, manufactures and markets, products and applications developed to transmit voice, video, audio and data over power lines, in AC and DC today announced that the Company's PowerLine Vision Systems(TM) will be featured on a variety of fleet vehicles at Waste Expo 2003. This industry event scheduled for June 2-5 in New Orleans is the annual conference and trade show, sponsored by the Environmental Industry Associations and Waste Age magazine and is the largest trade show in North America serving the $43 Billion solid waste and recycling market.
SeaView's PLVS(TM) is marketed by The Tyman Group LLC to waste-hauling, material handling, and special-utility vehicle segments under an exclusive distributorship agreement. According to Tyman Group's President Harold Halman, PLVS equipment will be displayed and demonstrated by nine key fleet equipment suppliers and integrators at the New Orleans show. Exhibitors showing the PLVS(TM) system include Alliance Wireless, ASA Audiovox, E-Z Pack, LaBrie, New Way, STC ProVision, STS Smart Truck Systems, and Wittke (division of Federal Signal.)
"This degree of participation underscores the versatility and value of PLVS" Halman said. "These companies are significant players in the market, representing fleets to small independent users. We're experiencing a sincere level of interest and enthusiasm that's very exciting; both from the standpoint of how many companies are embracing the system, and the reaction of their customers to this revolutionary product."
Leveraging existing patent-protected Power-Line-Carrier (PLC) technology, the PowerLine Vision System(TM) consists of small environmentally-sealed transmitter and receiver modules, which simply connect to a truck's existing electrical wiring harness. Video and audio signals from a side-mounted and/or rear-mounted camera are transmitted using PLC to a receiver and video monitor mounted inside the truck's cab. SeaView's PLC technology is compatible with existing video products accepting the RS-170/EIA standard composite video signal. This compatibility allows the retrofitting of existing rearview camera systems with PowerLine Vision System(TM) capabilities when the existing communication cable fails or breaks.
Scott Faulds, EZ Pack VP -- National Accounts said, "PowerLine Vision Systems(TM) provide an advantage to our customers with the installation as well as overall maintenance costs that directly impact the bottom line of their operation. This advanced technology also allows for key operational advantages with the a reduction of potential down time for vehicles attributed to conventional rear-vision products."
SeaView President-COO Michael Ambler commented, "The product is easy to install and use by OEM's, distributors, and dealers. The waste industry is especially sensitive to controlling costs while enhancing operating safety. This expo is an excellent opportunity to present our technology to decision makers at all levels."

SeaView designs, manufactures and markets products developed to transmit voice, video, audio, and data over power lines, in AC and DC power environments.
The Director of the Institute for World Commerce Education at the University of Tampa, Dr. Corinne B. The graduate student team is competitively selected each year.
Four MBA candidates--Anika Laracker, Lynn Lewis, Caglar Kanzik and Natasha White--will focus on two of SeaView's products while abroad: PowerLine Vision(TM) System, a rear- and/or side-mounted video camera system for the trucking industry; and SecureView(TM), an easy-to-install home video security camera. Both of these products are currently achieving success in the US marketplace and, based on the students' initial market research, are marketable in Mexico and Brazil.
"This program is close to my heart," Dr. Young said. "It's a wonderful, cost effective way for the business community to benefit from our very talented MBA students; and it offers the students an opportunity for practical application of the business theory in a global environment taught in the classroom."

After 19 years, DNA set to free rape convict
Wed Apr 2, 9:36 AM ET
By Dick Lehr, The Boston Globe
Convicted 19 years ago in the rape of two women and attempted rape of a third, Army Sergeant Dennis Maher stood in full uniform at sentencing and called the verdicts a travesty. And he has been saying the same ever since, even after the convictions were upheld on appeal and he was incarcerated for life as a serial rapist.
Justice is finally coming Maher's way. Newly discovered DNA evidence has cleared the way for his exoneration tomorrow, prosecutors and his attorneys said. The former soldier, who was 23 when he was convicted in 1984 in trials in Lowell and Ayer, will be going home.
''The nightmare is almost over,'' Maher, now 42, said in an interview at the Massachusetts Treatment Center for sexual offenders in Bridgewater. He said he couldn't sleep after getting the test results last week.

Juror removed from cops trial
BY LARRY LEBOWITZ Posted on Thu, Apr. 03, 2003
Miami Herald
In a rare move, a juror was quietly removed Wednesday during the seventh day of deliberations in the federal conspiracy trial of 11 Miami police officers.
With the female juror gone, the 11 remaining panelists appeared to be making significant headway in reaching verdicts. They sent U.S. District Judge Alan S. Gold a series of questions that suggested they may have reached unanimous verdicts for some of the defendants charged with planting guns on unarmed suspects or lying to cover up the misconduct.
''If we arrive at a unanimous verdict for some individuals and cannot come to a unanimous decision on others, can we submit the unanimous verdict forms?'' the jury asked in a note.
Gold responded that they could turn in a verdict on any defendant at any time, as long as it is unanimous. What he did not say was that he would hold off announcing it until jurors have decided on all 33 counts against the 11 defendants.
Verdicts by 11-member juries have been upheld by federal appellate courts in special circumstances. Legal experts also said it would have been much harder for Gold to replace the juror with an alternate at this late stage -- 45 hours into the deliberations.
In 1998, U.S. District Judge William Hoeveler removed a Miami juror who refused to deliberate in a racketeering trial of two Cali cartel lawyers. She spent the time working on her nails. Hoeveler kicked the juror off the panel after she told other jurors that the judge's instructions were advisory and ''reality'' should play a role in deciding the verdict.
The 11 remaining jurors convicted former Justice Department extradition expert Michael Abell and Miami defense attorney William Moran on money laundering and racketeering conspiracy charges. Both men appealed.
The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Hoeveler's decision, saying a district judge should not dismiss jurors too lightly. But the judge has ''just cause'' to remove a juror if they refuse to apply the law or to follow the court's instructions.
On Wednesday, the reason for Gold's decision to remove the juror remain shrouded in secrecy.
Gold ordered the press and public out of the courtroom while he consulted with prosecutors, defense attorneys and the defendants during three closed-door proceedings.
The lawyers, defendants, federal marshals and court personnel are under a strict gag order barring them from speaking about the case.
Later, after inviting the press and public back into the courtroom, Gold threatened to jail any reporter who attempted to contact jurors while the verdicts are pending -- including, hypothetically, reaching out to anyone who was removed from the panel.
Over the objections of lawyers for The Herald and WFOR-TV CBS 4, Gold placed two jury notes and the transcripts of the three closed-door proceedings under seal. All of the material will become public after the trial is over, the judge said.
Gold said the constitutional rights of the defendants and the ability of the jury to deliberate without external pressures outweighed the public's right to know.
At the end of deliberations Wednesday, a beefed-up crew of marshals changed their usual routine of escorting the jurors to a waiting van, where they are driven to an unspecified location where they park their cars.
After noticing that reporters were camped out in the hallway, trying to see which jurors were leaving for the night, the marshals cordoned off two hallways, blocking the view of a secure elevator leading to the basement sally port where the van was waiting.
Deliberations resume at 9 a.m.

Girls Shot in School Crossbow Attack
2 hours, 51 minutes ago
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Two Australian teenage girls were shot and wounded with a crossbow at their school on Thursday, with the arrow passing through the chest of one of the victims and into the legs of the other, an ambulance official said.
The girls were attacked by a teenage boy who was tackled as he then tried to light a petrol bomb, a witness told a Sydney radio station.
"One young female was shot in the left chest, the arrow exiting her left shoulder," the official told Reuters.
"The arrow then went into the thigh of the other female and then into her other leg. Both legs were impaled by the arrow."
The girl shot in the chest was in a critical condition, the other in a serious condition, the official said.
The caller to a radio station said the girls were chased around the school, Tomaree High School in Salamandar Bay on Australia's mid-east coast, before they were shot.
The student "tackled this offender while he was trying to light a petrol bomb," said the unidentified caller, who said he had a nephew at the school. "It could have been horrendous."
Police said they had arrested a teenage boy over the incident, but no charges had yet been laid.

Judge Sentences Former SAPD Cop
A judge sentenced a former San Antonio police detective to six months probation Thursday for soliciting an undercover officer for sex.
Javier Garcia (pictured, left), who was found guilty in late January, was also fined $1,500 and was ordered to perform community service. Garcia was also terminated from the police force.
According to testimony, Garcia's lawyers argued that he tried to wage a one-man war against prostitution in his mother's neighborhood and didn't realize he was dealing with fellow Officer Terry Neil during an undercover sting in February 2000. He was caught on tape and arrested by his colleagues after offering Neil $25 for sex.
Garcia said he is ready to move on with his life and is thinking positive.
"I'm gonna move forward, be with my family," Garcia said after the sentencing. "That's the best thing that I have in my life. And I'm just gonna continue (to) be a good father, good son."
Prosecutors said they were happy with the sentence because Garcia is no longer a police officer.

Women Sue Balcones Heights Cops For Alleged Sex Assaults
16 minutes ago (Texas)
Five women have filed a lawsuit against the city of Balcones Heights and two former police officers on sex allegations.
The lawsuit claims Officers Rolando Treviño and Dwaun Guidry sexually assaulted the women after they were arrested in the early hours of Nov. 24, 2001.
The women were sexually assaulted at the Balcones Heights Police Department, the lawsuit alleges.
Treviño and Guidry are also accused of taking "compromising and inappropriate photos" of the women, the lawsuit claims.
Guidry, who has been on administrative leave with pay since being charged with aggravated sexual assault in December, is accused of raping a woman in his patrol car following a traffic stop in a separate case.

Safety has also been given much attention. The 30,000 lb. forklift has CCTV cameras with monitors to ensure boats are moved safely to and from the racks. Four standard underwater cameras from Seaview Video Technology, Inc. are also fitted. "This is an effective and relatively inexpensive extra," Emmanuel admits. "The cameras are totally waterproof and give the operator, who has monitors fitted on the forklift, extra security. The cost of the cameras could be more than covered if just one boat was damaged."
