<<It's mostly gunned at the politics boards>>
I know both you and Bob have mentioned that before re: both SI and IHUB. I know a lot of your concern has to do with advertisement folks but... have you ever figured out what posting rates would be during the market meltdown without those boards?
Also..Not quite as sure about IHUB but the most active "stock" boards on SI seem to be the trader threads. I note that Zeev's board here is also one of the most active boards as well. For now the good old days of GO CSCO when are earnings?? are gone. They may well be back at some point soon but who the hell knows for sure?
I'm sure almost 100% of the people reading your post took it for what you intended. There are people out there that have to push this "politicly correct" thing to the limits just because they can. They are a bore and a general pain in the ass IMO.
Scratch that last post. In now but it's been off/on all day.
I have to admit....I can't get inti SI!
<<hey, JMTWO but, sniff sniff... Caveat Emptor>>
Thanks for the opinion.
<<didn't pass the smell test>>
Just wondering something...
I recieved the same PM on Ihub and one a long time ago on SI. Why do you say it didn't pass the smell test? It offered a prospectus and also said it was high risk if I remember right.
If you feel it's too personal I'll understand.
Hi Pat...
Yes it is bob from SI. Glad (as always) to hear from you.
The house is great! About 90% done with the landscaping but that will have to wait till next spring. Like where you are..not a lot grows here in CT this time of year.
Not a lot of time now anyhow. It's getting close to that majic time for kids and we now have 4 grandchildren. You know what I mean.
Btw, Can't answer PMs here, Pat. I'm a cheap free member. lol!
PM on SI if you need to.
You and your family have a great/safe holiday season, Pat and keep in touch.
Bob
<<Hey, where is it? I installed the Google Toolbar, but I don't see it.
If you do not see the Google Toolbar, go to View > Toolbars and click on the Google option.
Be advised that some earlier versions of IE 5.0 have a known problem with displaying toolbars. The Google Toolbar may be listed under the name "Radio" (usually the second such listing if there are two). This may also keep the Google Toolbar from initially appearing when it's first installed. Go to View > Toolbars and click on the second "radio" option>>
Good Luck...
<<My name is not Shirley>>
Phyllis?
Not even close.
That is strange..
I've never had to deal with Comcast support people so I have no clue if they are good or bad.
I'm a little south of you and have had AT&T/Comcast for a long time. Very little down time or problems for me.
Matt, If you should speak to Bob could you tell him SI is dead? Thanks...
Yep...dead for the past 30 minutes for me.
Try NNPP.OB
Got it.
LOL...No wonder the papers are in deep crap as far as truth goes. That little slip-up probably had the phones rocking.
1. Yanks
2. 8
3. 6
4. #2
Who/what post do we log our picks?
A lot of us Yank fans here in CT would have liked a Cubs vs Red Sox series with the Cubs winning...but...once the Cubs were out it was back to the Yanks.
I'll bet it's the green eggs that got ya in such a pissy mood.
Try a few Midol...lol
In the past I traded several penny stocks. Back then there was a lot more mo-mo because of all the pumping slime balls out there. It made making money a lot easier without having to post a thing...Just read.
I'm really hurt about the PM thing. Sure you won't reconsider? LOL!
<<He will scare off the smart people.>>
If that's true then you have nothing to worry about.
Please, no spinless PMs.
I figured he had no spine.
<<you weren't invited into this conversation.>>
And now he is...
<<An intelligent person would listen to the advice given>>
So, you're saying I should waste my time making an appt. with my broker....change to a contract that is just giving me what I already have for (more than likly)more money in fees?
Been at this a long time?
Because I don't listen to some idiot on the internet trying to give me financial advice?
Take a look in the mirrow before you shoot your mouth off....
I agree, Phillis...
I'm easy to get along with....Your choice.
<<And you are not one of my friends>>
You got that right, tough guy...
Any other ladies on the boards you can insult?
Way to go, Phyllis..
Loss? It's up 20% on the year.
You may be correct about the new rule but you can bet it will cost more in fees. The remainder as it stands now goes to exactly who we want it to if/when we die. Wife first and kids second. Why would I want to pay more for what I am already happy with?
I think Bob Z has the right idea.
And what happens to the rest of your cash (if there is any) when you die?
For the guaranteed income for life the company gets whats left of your money. Not a bad gamble for them, huh? I didn't do that. Our kids get the remainder if there is any.
Any other questions?
I believe that is something you decide on (the $ amount)when you know what you will need to get by. I believe it is a percentage of your principal at the time you choose to draw it.(after 59 1/2) I don't remember the exact figure and it's tucked away with all the other junk that I collect.
Edit: Aren't you the guy that Bob Z refuses to answer? LOL..
12/31/2002
LMAO...I hope to be around drawing from that cash for a long time...
It is through my full service broker but issued by the Hartford Ins. Company. It's still 90% equities (I'm not that old) and 10% fixed income.
The good thing about it is every few years you lock in your principal and you can never go below that figure.
When the bubble burst it really put the screws to some folks that would have liked to retire a little early but can't now because of that lose. I don't want to end up in that position. I don't have 40 years to make up a large hit.
