"Just trying to be informed as possible on the future of stems... Has anyone or company proposed the idea of keeping embryonic stem cells at birth and using them in the future for therapies. Doesn't that make sense??? Patient's own cells and pure. Use adult cells as secondary method or for treatments not requiring suppressants. Just thoughts on the future of the science.?
There are a number of companies doing exactly that:
http://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&pws=0&q=Cord+blood+bank
There are others that can go into greater technical detail, but Wikipedia offers the following definition for SX/EW:
Solvent extraction/electrowinning (SX/EW) is a two-stage process that first extracts and upgrades copper ions from low-grade leach solutions into a concentrated electrolyte, and then deposits pure copper onto cathodes using an electrolytic procedure.
Hopefully, the end result will look something like these copper cathodes:

Regarding "Cementation", I found these these:
"Recovering copper by a process known as "cementation," occurs when copper-containing water flows into cells filled with scrap iron. The iron in the cells and the copper in the water trade places. The water leaves with a higher iron content and the copper clings to the remaining iron."
The following example is from a kid's science site:

RDG013, Here is what was reported on his Oct 1 visit report:
"The magnetite circuit was not running, which is presumably due
to the current mill feed being fed with material low in magnetite (OK mine or dumps?)."
The OGM website had 13 docs related to CPRK which all go back to the initial EPA report against them. Did you get to see them all? If you want, email me your email address and I will zip them over to you. stockibot@yahoo.com
Jahuel,
If you know how to use the ibox section, you will find the share structure regularly updated (near the bottom of the section). Here are the last 8 entries from that list.

Trav,
I believe the way this works is a SELL gets recorded when the seller drops their price to the BID Price. A BUY gets recorded when the buyer raises their price to the ASK price. Looking at your line in the tape, it appears that you got the shares at your BID price of .0064, while the standing ASK price was .0065.
If you increased your purchase price to the ASK price, then it would show up as a BUY.
Thanks TM$TOCKS!
Thanks greggor62!
Ally, when you call the TA, will they also disclose to you the number of shareholders within each class?
There is one other distinction... Consorteum's disclosure reports that they paid in RESTRICTED Shares. CPRK's disclosure did not indicate this...
All these Reverse Splits and the AS still hasn't shrunk from ~10 BILLION!
Does anyone have any idea of what the Shares Outstanding numbers will look like, post RS?
Opinion from the Short Squeeze pros would be appreciated!
BBI Blockbuster has >30 mil shares short (~25%) with 10.1 Days to Cover on Shares Outstanding of ~122 mil. Trading is getting wound tight and earnings are due next week. Company is working hard to change course. Seems like this could go either way...

MARKET TALK: Don't Go Short LME Copper, Outlook Firm - Trader
28/10/2009 00:00 | BHP Billiton 0107 GMT [Dow Jones]
Debate about justification about LME copper prices continues to rage, with bears and bulls firmly entrenched. Bears point to rising inventory, OECD demand not picking up where China restocking phase has left off. But base metals trader says to view any short-term setbacks in LME copper price as buy opportunities rather than reasons to go short. Expects supply constraints to keep pullbacks short-lived, citing ongoing strikes in Chile with possibility of more before year end, production losses at BHP Billiton's (BHP.AU) Olympic Dam. Also cites demand side, sustainability of China consumption growth as highlighted in recent report from country's Industry and Information Technology ministry, predicting 16% industrial production gain during 4Q.(EFB)

Seaway Valley Capital Announces Agriculture Venture

As a new investor, I was under the impression that it was intended to add serious value to Seaway. It was even covered by local news on 10/09/2008 -
http://www.myabc50.com/news/local/story/Seaway-Valley-Capital-plans-flour-mill/P5y0eKdFv0WH4PB_xb7MPQ.cspx
So, if you were wondering what happened to that big Seaway venture, which included the following claims-
"At full capacity, the four mill would be constructed to annually mill approximately 85,000 bushels of wheat with output of approximately four million pounds of whit and whole wheat flour and over one million pounds of wheat midds, the press release says."
Wonder no more... here is the rest of the story (printed on 08/18/2009)-
http://www.myabc50.com/news/local/story/New-business-flours-in-Pamelia/tv1O8a06u0-eEhjGp_pRtw.cspx
If you skip reading that article, here is the what you missed:
"Richardson is his only full-time employee so far. That means the product is his, right from the wheat delivered to his mill, to the finished packages he personally delivers to his vendors."
They can't get people to work for them anymore...

OGDENSBURG — Despite a rapidly rising unemployment rate in St. Lawrence County, Hacketts is having trouble getting people interested in working at its Ogdensburg store.
According to Patrick Hackett Hardware Co. President Herbert L. Becker, the company has been advertising for about 12 sales, cashier and clerk positions for nearly a week, but only two positions have been filled.
"It seems so strange. I thought we'd put up a few notices and we'd be overrun, but we're not getting anybody," he said. "Especially now before Christmas I thought people would be looking for anything, but it's been so difficult."

Any bets on how long it will take to fall from .01 back to .0001 again?

In reply to: elysse1kittycat - "Does anyone think there is any hope here and/or is this company going out of business in the very near future?"
IMHO....
ACTC has an incredible portfolio of intellectual propery (which they have hedged to their financial backers to stay afloat). It would be a crying shame for all these resources to fall into the hands of this group.
The entire Stem Cell industry is struggling, and it makes more sense that the industry would want to maintain this technology in their own portfolios, rather than have to license it from the financial groups later. At this point, the big Pharma's don't seem to want to take a stake in such a controversial technology, so if ACTC runs aground, I am hoping that the worst we would see is ACTC get merged into some other Stem Cell company with funds enough to keep them both afloat over the next couple of years.
