Hope not !! - I am looking at furthering our retail outlets/exposure prior to what is hopfully an Ad campain leading up to the games. Makes sence to have our product as widely availble as possible when advertising funds are spent. - GL - thebouch
Only Doctor I know that is broke all the time !!! - I'm thinking more on the lines of him selling off now to raise funds to excersise some .45c warrants before Nov 22. JMO though - Paul
Nothing wrong with some getting out of the game early. There is enough support here to keep from any major collapse in S/P. Remember that not all people who bought into RIM at .50c kept the stock untill it hit $100.00 !!! - Keep the faith Surf. - Paul
Another stellar preformance by our favourite growth stock today. Once again volume supporting the rise in sp nicely. It appears that Canada Post (another supplier to the 2010 winter Olympics) is instructing it's supervisors to purchase Alda hand sanitizer as their present supply runs out. Just another benifit of being tied to the Olympics & Canada Post is a rather large company I might add LOL - Paul
I agree... Another +1 million share day IMO - Momo builds - Paul
damn rumours !! EOM
Rumour has it that a deal is done between Shoppers & APH that will place product in stores Nov 23 ---- Rumour ONLY !! thebouch
Don't kid your selves gentleman...the real aim IMHO is NOT T & T but the parent company Loblaws with 1000+ stores - thebouch
Also Surf...the 70,000 bottles for olympics would not be produced this early. Scott Young was asked that a couple of weeks ago and said it would not be prudent to keep that cost on the books for so long when not required till February - Paul
Hey SurfNj... With our contract with London Drugs, the number of outlets is greatly reduced. Shoppers has 1100 outlets nation wide & London Drugs has only 70 or so. With todays' N/R of another 17 outlets to provide product, the numbers are IMO much more managable than a rollout to Shoppers'. Plus we seem to be comming out in the retail end of things in waves rather than all at once. No problem with production IMO - be happy, things are under control.!!! thebouch
As per production concerns... bear in mind we currently have production agreement with Chinese company to supply us with product as required and shipped anywhere in the world at our expence. We also have three different manufacturing facilities we work with in North America. - thebouch
Hey SurfNj ... more & more I read posts that indicate Alda must more or less become #1 over Purell in hand sanitizers if we are to be successful with this product rollout.I read Purell this & Purell that... I don't know if it's just me or if others find this as well ? we tend to forget it is about grabbing market share from this monsterously large conglomerate J& J. Alda is so tiny that even 5% of Purrell's market would mean 8-10$ per/share to Alda. I'm happy with that !! I don't need Alda to come out & be #1 ... Why can't I be happy with being #2 in the Market ??? Go Alda !!! - Let's hope Global BC has as many followers as did CTV BC back a week or two
Have not seen anything on air Canada. May be some one's 'wishfull thinking'. For that matter there was a report siteing APH products being in the Vancouver Airport earlier...but that too was disputed on one of the boards by someone who was there as late as Friday past. On the brighter side of things... T.O. still throwing punches !!! - Paul
My wifes' hospital uses a product called Microsan. Says it is very user friendly, tends to dry the skin though & is ineffective against MRSA.One of the few to use 70% alcohol (no secondary killing agent) Dr T said earlier that it was very difficult to break into the Hospitals supply chain (to paraphrase) I think the hospitals will fall in line after the name gets more exposure & their current contracts expire, we will see. Bottom line from where I sit today....Upward pressure on share price. PS Hi Janet - Paul
Hey MMN good to hear from you ! You must be on a "high" now with both APH and MDG doing well!. If Dr T can come up with any kind of news at all durring Friday's trading session we can take that nasty .55 wall down and head north from there (at least to the .60 -64c range IMO) depending of course on the importance of the news. MMN, I'm not expecting any real value in the sales area for the period ending June 30th as in my memory we had not really turned our attention full bore towards retail durring the April-June time frame. I Believe that is when Dr T attended the ODA confrence in Toronto & Scott was playing down sales as being at least a few months down the road. Timing on the release of the 2nd quarter numbers is anyones guess but I've seen it posted elsewhere that historically it comes out mid October. Lots of other stuff T.O. could discuss if he wants to. I can't believe that a country the size of China, that is up to their armpits in H1N1 trouble, has had any problem at all sucking up 2 million dollars worth of product by now!!! I fully expect news on a followup contract from that country any time. As far as Shopper's is concerned I'M not quite sure Alda is ready yet for that large of a deal, but rest assured that T.O. has a plan in place to sell T36r retail shortly East of Manitoba!! - May take the cash from the Nov 22 warrants to make it happen (Only Alda Management knows for sure I guess) Would be nice to see some follow up letter to the shareholders...It would probably read like a novel with all thats gone on since his last letter- thebouch
there was a sell of 32K today on the US market ...was that you Surf??? Have not heard from you lately and that would be a tell as they say!! NO harm, No foul every one to their own ... Only I saw it on the US trade side and till now you havebeen a supporter !!!! - Paul
Our rollout in the 4 western most provinces was yet another wise and shrewd move by T.O. Not nearly as expencive as a National rollout with the likes of Shoppers Drug Mart. Yet it allows for a quick cash flow, quick delivery (Close to production) and close to the people most excited about the Olympics (B.C. based Consumers) who may see the Olympic symbology on the product and have a much greater loyalty to it with the Olympics in their back yard this winter. Great Moves T.O. - More to come with the magic .80c factor to concider & the windfall of 2.4 Million dollars that comes with it for Alda. - JMHO - Paul
Reading between the lines SurfNj... There was a conversation between NWO Boy & Diane Mann today that sounded like Alda was trying to put together a National distribution network for the eventual 'release' of their productline. There has also been a recurring theme from various posters suggesting that it is Alda's plan to produce & distribute enough product in order to have it available in all locations at the same time when the retail deal is announced. This could take a while as it would require nearly 60,000 bottles of sanitizer to be delivered to all of the Shoppers Drug Marts in Canada if they were to stock each location with two boxes of 24 bottles. - Paul
with the closing (Finaly) of the PP I think the s/p will almost immediatly start to firm up here. I would be shocked to see more than a day or two go by without some newsworthy release put out. - Paul
I hear you on that point. The company seems to want to keep any Chinese news under wraps for some reason thou. Between you & me (& the several hundered people who read these posts LOL) If Alda's rep can't sell our products in China with the H1N1 problems they are experiencing now....We are in trouble !!! LOL - thebouch
Even Helen Keller could 'see' all we need here is a retail deal to start this s/p. I am certain in the belief that T.O. is producing inventory as we speak. It has been mentioned elsewhere that his aim is to have enough APH stockpiled to fill the shelves of whatever chain he deals with. This makes complete sence to me as impact of the announcement will be felt immediatly & earnings will start to be seen in the next quarter. IMO the longer we have to wait for retail news, the larger the deal will be. A trade off for those who have suffered so long here I'm afraid. P.S to Surf. Hunches & gut feelings are not a "PURE" science but are an "APPLIED" science LOLOLOL - Paul
Hey Surfnj - I have a hunch we will see a N/R at the open come Monday. TD has been far too interested in our APH today with aggressive buying.(they were also buying strongly over the last two months, in the same fasion.) Tell tale sign will come after 3:30 EST IMO. A strong close with him taking out the rest of the resistance up to .48 would stongly signal short term news IMO - GL lad - Paul
The PP closed after hours today.... Let the games begin !!!
Welcome back Surfnj - it has been a quiet board here of late. When the PP is closed I am anticipating a new 52 week high (.48) Much news to come & time is growing short - Paul
I think you just answered your own question DS - It has been said on the BB's that a company with an open PP cannot release anything of any real consequence untill the PP is closed.Doing so would indicate that the participants had gotten an unfair advantage over the rest of the market. There is a short period here prior to the olympics in which Alda must make significant advances. I am of the opinion T.O. will waste little time after the PP closes and he can, I sure count on assistance from the new investors to get thier warrants 'in the money' shortly. - TICK TICK TICK...- Paul
PP was announced on the 17th I believe. Normal course I understand is around 4 weeks IMO. Don't see any reason for a PP that is 20-25% below the current S/P to take long to fill. Also get the feeling that there are very few in on this offering which might explain the ambitious buying in the open market by three houses primarily. "Speculation ONLY"... PP will likly close by a week Fri.(Aprox Aug 7th)-Paul
SurfNj I am of the same mind. The manufacturing company purchace had flaws that T.O. could see. It would have been a mistake to push through with the deal when the numbers did not add up. I said from the point of turning down the deal that T.O. would have a "Plan B". I'm sure his 'Grand Plan' would have include manufacturing our own line for the Olympics by I have faith in the leadership here & know in the long run if another more agreeable oppertunity comes along he will make it happen if it fits. Manufacturing is a great play for your compnany if it works right. Make no mistake even a company like J & J out sources many of thier lines because it makes financial sence, There will still be a large enough profit margin because our ingrediants are quite inexpensive...We should be competative. Stay tuned for the catalist here, that being the closing of the PP - I expect 'all hell to break loose' at that point. - We shall see gentlemen - Paul
Sorry woodstock I think what you are looking for is the signature at the bottom - that can be accessed via the settings key at the top of the page - Paul
OT Woodstock- I don't have private messaging (I'm cheap LOL) but to add quote go to your personal page & access Edit my Profile & it is at the bottom of page under favorite quote.
I would be completly surprised if we do not have some kind of a major contract or retail type N/R within a day or two of this latest PP closing. Not to allow Dr T an escape clause for some of the things that have not been done in a timely fasion over the last year or so.. but as he has defended himself repeatedly, saying that it has always been "Outside" entities that have been the cause of the delays. Problems that could not have been forseen by the company themselves. This line will not 'FLY' anymore. His back is up against the preverbial wall here. He has the funds available to produce/market/sell all 7 of our current products quickly. His excuse in the past from a manufacturing point of view was, "Our orders were too small to have the manufacturer take care of us quickly, and we had to wait untill they could fit us in somewhere" That is no longer a problem with the size of orders I see coming shortly with both the Olympic needs & that of some kind of retail order.- Good times are now within sight if the execution of the plan is carried out in a professional manner. Lets here from Dianne Mann shortly as we expand into the cruiseline old age home, hospital marketplace., - Paul-
Sorry for the tone in the post makapia...not deserved I'm sure. Just re-read your post as suggested and appologize for lumping you in with Drumstick. As you are well aware, he is quite presistant in pointing out the negatives when APH is concerned. I just felt that suggesting that there was any info out there pointing to the demise of the agreement between Alda & the Olympic commitee was completed fabrication on his part. While reading your post the first time I failed to catch the possitive spin you were writing in. Paul
If you stay up all night with drumstick thinking about every thing that 'could' go wrong in the Alda world you will be certifiable in less than a year!! Lets stay focused on the probabilities here not the "what if the sky falls" senerios that we all could dream up if we let our imaginations run wild.Have we seen even the slightest hint that dr T is not capable here? Remember that we have $1.8M in the kitty and another $1.5M at the close of this PP=3.3M$ with 2.4M$ probable after we surpass .40c per/sh. Don't let it keep you up at night guys!! - Paul
D.S how do you sleep at night?? We are all cognicent of things that are possible that may effect Alda's long term development but you are bordering on psychotic. You can't worry about everything in the world. There has been absolutly NO reason to even consider that the Olympic deal could unravel. Just relax and let T.O. put this next piece of the puzzle together and we shall see some real energy put back into the SP.All we need for the sp to advance is a signed deal with a large retail chain. If for some UNEXPLAINED reason the stock does a short run and then builds a new base all is still fine. The bottom line is that the investment community will NOT ignore APH with a positive cash flow going forward. It is just a matter of time. END OF STORY. You just have to relax and enjoy.- Paul
Thanks SurfNj - Look for some news shortly on retail. MMN was indicating that it may take up to 3 more weeks to close PP & no major news can/should come prior to close. My take is that any news at all may clear out present resistance. In fact it is my view now that "Resistance is Futile" LOL - Paul
Company stocks move in various ways IMO. With today's economic climate still playing havoc with the way investors are backing companies, it may take news of increased revenue quarter by quarter to get Alda to where we believe it should be. We will, I'm sure, keep increasing the level that we 'base' at with each substantive N/R. Don't get discouraged people...we are going in the right direction here both as a company, and seemingly slowly, as a share price as well. We will see this puppy move up the scale once the PP closes & also as news of our first large North American order gets signed. This will be any day now IMO - Paul
Got to get through the 200+K shares in the 34-35c range before we break out IMO. may be a block put up in order to accumulate at .32-34 - Paul
Left a message for him at 1pm pst Friday but no return call. Also left him my cell # and asked him to call while in Toronto. Doubt I will hear as there is much going on there right now I'm sure. Will let you know if I hear anything! - Paul
Sorry SurfinNj -dont have any contacts in that part of the world. In fact if I were at the Olympics this year I would probably be sitting out side the largest venue handing out T36 samples LOLOLOL - Good luck lad. To tell you the truth don't know if sales are brisk or not. You can probably still get tickets for the MEN's ICE DANCING FINAL !!!!LOL (Having a funny weekend - Please forgive & forget) - Paul
The S/P will creap up from here I assume...Expect a N/R next week as they should be more often now. I Think the actual promo plane took off in BC a couple of nights ago. Now to out wait those dis interested and leaving the boat. - GL - Paul
Where do we go from here?... A good question worthy of a thought or two. I'd like to firstly address the declining value of the APH shares. To me, at least, the decline is somewhat frustating however it has taken a back seat to the understanding that better times are truely comming our way. Those getting out are either very long suffering "bag holders" who were collectivly awaiting the first substantial N/R to dump on. Perhaps these individuals were joined by those who felt that the S/P should rocket on this type of news and are now packing it in at the exact wrong time in Aldas history. IMO what we will see is a slight decline or hold at present levels while the exodice winds down, until those heading to other pastures are replaced with smart money with the forsight to see where this company is heading. Believe me when I suggest here that brains will over shadow emotion on this play. Terry has only scratched the surface here. Lunatics on other BB's were suggesting that the reason Alda had been quiet for several months now was that T.O. had been "Working on his golf game ect."The man is an 'OVERACHIEVER' and there will be more surprises & at a greater pace. I fully expect a Regional/National deal to be announced shorty with a company like Shoppers Drug Mart for example. There is absolutly no reason to spend money on the Olympics without having your product line widely available to the general public well in advance of the event. Don't discount the possibility of a JV here as well. These are exciting times for this tiny company who grabbed National attention in BC the other night. For those who frequent the other boards you will have read posts by NWOboy who has been calling for the 'Big Boys" to start buying on just about every post he has made over the last two years.Well...I would think after this last N/R there would have been a couple of Health care Mutual Fund Managers start thier own DD on APH. After two years of suggesting...I think NWOboy will finally be on target. - Paul
