Just want to toss in a whisper here ...
Why is this board seemingly glued to discussions of oil and a few other token commodities?
This company is about safety and trimming a budget. Two huge items for the good of all, including any Upper Mgmt committed to proving their earning of bonuses. No matter the industry.
I, for one, would always support safety and budget trimming. If a company could further that for me, I would invest in its knowledge. Can MTPW do that? It would seem so.
This company is not about oil or water or gold. It's about software engineering to facilitate the achievenment of targeted goals.
It is a programmed flow of decision-making processes.
Click on in, the water's fine.
What he said. <grin>
Thanks so much for these efforts, Piece. It's no quarterly report (let alone an annual) but it does give us a better idea of the company's missions.
At the risk of sitting here in Fool's Paradise, I'd at least like to believe that McK is dodging the shorts, or holding out for good buyout offers following great looking balance sheets.
I wouldn't mind a little quiet disclosure on either one of those.
To quote grantg2's posting of Ms. Sanchez' writings:
The stock is currently owned by 153 funds/institutions... With 45.45 % ... buying shares ... and 45.45 % selling shares.
Talk about walking on the edge.
I have been told, "The sharper the edge, the closer the cut."
I, imho, think ARAY only needs time. We already see the edge.

Big thanks for the explanations. eom
Can't buy online using Scottrade. Got message saying I had to contact agent. It was not this way previously.
Any ideas on why that would be?
Newbie perception summary:
First, thanks to all of you for providing a knowledgeable forum with a variety of good info and resources. (Special thanks to SageWise and JoeSmith) After reading a week’s worth of posts, I chose these three for the whole DeepDown story.

that's why there's not much reason to worry. the bulls are alive and well for fundamental reasons. and those are the best, strongest, longest-lasting reasons. end of story.
mainpulation or trading fluctuation.....still just white noise if the fundies are in place.

in a nutshell cuppy everything at dpdw is fine and there has been NO changes that would merit the drop in price
what we have seen is pert on the tape continually dropping his ask in an effort to sell whatever shares he is holding.
there has been a lot of theory as to what is going on or who the seller may be -my guess is a private placement holder or possibly seidhoff(former director), whatever the case today was much more positive and could be a sign that pert is about done selling(JMHO)
you have a lot of reading to do but imho this is just one more incredible buying opportunity as deep down continues to do what it does best(GROW)!

Tom, yeah it is amazing that last year we hit $2.35 when we were just a little offshore company with potential, and now we are hitting our marks like clockwork, a seemingly unstoppable force in the offshore industry, and we are at .88. And oil is around $140 so that should also propel the price upward. I think some of the selling is due to the massive amount of margin calls over the last month as the overall market pulls back. I can't wait until we are at the $3 level when more institutions can buy Deep Down and the price swings should not be as great. We also would become marginable enabling more shares to be purchased.
Thanks to all !
What is Delba International?
Hi all. I'm new to investigating this interesting stock. And I'm wondering why I can't find anything on this company that has so enhanced DeepDown's future.
"Offshore equipment and services provider Deep Down has received a second letter of intent for approximately $9 million from Delba International to supply and install the deepwater marine drilling riser flotation system for the new-build Delba-4 semisubmersible drilling rig."
Can anybody help?
Can't really translate - done deal.
I apologize if you didn't relate to movie reference.
We're not trying to be a game show.
It's not about the end. It's all about the middle.
I ask too - any help?
Does anyone have the trading transactions for Friday 6/20 -- the longest sun reign of the year?
I'm not ready to give it up, especially in the rain.
I think last chance to buy. And then I think maybe the wrong side of the rainbow. Then I think even bigger ---
Shall we play a game? ...remember the movie?
Sure ....
How about,
"Dump those Nekid S-S-ers."
And then I think some more. What I/we need is some CEO DD.
Disclaimer:
I don't predict. I don't no [sic] ASP's destiny. I just know what I like, maybe against all the rules.
"all depends on ... the sale price of the people that bought at .0002"
That's always my 'grain of salt' -- those day traders who hide a piddly $200 in something they can brag about doubling tomorrow at the dinner table when the DOW has reported a 400 point drop.
GO LONGS ....
Thanks for passing this on for us! I'm eager to hear any more tidbits you might have when you return to your paperwork.
I still don't understand the purpose of Autocart. Is it for reservations?
I thought of a new question:
Did McK ever find a resolution to the naked short violators? Does he have a strategy to keep them at bay in the future? Is that part of the reason for silence?
SLO: I don't have a subscription account here so can't post private replies. So I'll just say thanks for the info and sure hope we get that audited '07 soon!
Slo --
One of those dearly departed.
Nice to see you chime in.
But let me ask --
You still holding?
Or were you folding a few months ago?
Hope it's the former.
I always appreciated your 1-on-1 DD.
Yes, the link did work this time. Maybe trolls under the bridge, maybe 800 lurkers trying to call it up at the same time
I don't doubt McKinney's value or potential. Never did. Just want to know if we have Grapes of Wrath or a Horn o' Plenty.
Same page, Piece.
Or he delegates very, very well.
(glass half full ???)
He has been the Board of that company since Jan. '06.
No salary but a big chunk of shares.
http://www.secinfo.com/dUYgh.u38.htm
And Mecke, the original founder and sole employee in Dec. of '06, (http://www.secinfo.com/dUYgh.uG3.htm) left Sino Fibre two weeks after McKinney took over.
Can't find anything that says that McKinney, founder of API, has left the company.
No, Piece, link doesn't work.
By the way - is this the same DM? Is this the same as or similar to AutoCart and its purpose?

Sure hope they're not back like yesterday!
Hmmmm -
I'm fuzzy on what propeties could be generating income so I went to the website to 'refresh.' Website not accessible. Updating? What's the story there? Obviously still fuzzy. So I guess I'm asking you about old and AP about new.
And, oh yes, another question. What is the intention/plan for AutoCart capability?
Great that you will be speaking with DM.
Will any of ASP's properties or developments be advanced or profit from the Olympics?
Do any of their properties have current tenants? When is such income due?
Thanks --
Katie
Got my order - ask went back to .0003, and now at 2 again. Wild day!
Hi, jp -
I do read that board, but I really swung into this stock (a week ago) with the group at Raging Bull. Some there who are holding GWTR swung into a new thread/group for MTPW.
Can't say I really "live" anywhere, tho. I read it all ... <grin>
Numbers are certainly snug. I put in a order an hour ago for 375K, with a limit at .0002. Still no buy, but one buy of 5K raised the ask to .0003.

Patients Have New Hope
CyberKnife, a revolutionary advancement in non-invasive cancer treatment, is bringing new hope to patients at St. John Medical Center. St. John recently acquired the highly specialized $3.5 million robotic radiosurgery system which targets and treats tumors once considered inoperable or untreatable, including malignant and benign tumors of the brain, spine, lungs, pancreas, prostate and liver.
CyberKnife utilizes a computer-controlled robotic arm to aim highly concentrated beams of radiation to destroy cancerous and certain non-cancerous cells with pinpoint accuracy within the body. The precise, pencil-thin beams of radiation kill tumor cells while minimizing injury to surrounding healthy tissue. In addition to serving as a cancer treatment option, the CyberKnife also gives patients options for non-surgical treatment of spine and brain issues, as well as diseases of the chest and abdomen.
"With CyberKnife's precision, we can treat tumors previously considered inoperable, including tumors of the brain and spine. St. John is proud to bring this revolutionary technology to Green Country and to offer new hope to many cancer patients, said Frederick Willison, M.D., St. John radiation oncologist.
The revolutionary CyberKnife technology provides a number of benefits over more conventional therapies such as traditional radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery. CyberKnife offers many unique benefits for cancer patients and those with other conditions, including benign tumors, vascular malformations and trigeminal neuralgia (cranial nerve pain).
CyberKnife's benefits include:
Non-surgical: Often, there are no incisions. CyberKnife uses the skeletal structure of the body as a reference to track and treat tumors frequently eliminating the use of needles to place the markers used with traditional radiosurgery systems.
Outpatient: Hospitalization is unnecessary.
Painless: CyberKnife is a non-surgical procedure. Because robotic radiosurgery is non-invasive, treatments can be delivered without discomfort and without the risks associated with open surgery.
Convenient: Fewer treatments are required as compared with traditional radiosurgery. Patients require only one to five treatment sessions. Treatments last approximately 60-90 minutes.
No recovery time: Following treatment, a patient can resume normal activity including work.
Frameless: Metal head frames attached with screws are not required with CyberKnife treatment as compared with traditional radiosurgery of the brain.
Accurate: CyberKnife continuously tracks the tumor and adjusts treatment beams due to patient movement. It delivers radiation with sub-millimeter accuracy, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue.
Revolutionary: An option for some inoperable or surgically complex tumors.
St. John Medical Center began offering CyberKnife treatment services October 15 and is the only hospital in the city to offer this cutting-edge technology.
CyberKnife was developed by a team of physicists and engineers at Stanford University and was the first radiosurgery delivery system approved for use by the United States Food and Drug Administration in 2001 for tumors anywhere in the body. CyberKnife is manufactured by Accuray.
Oh my - an even bigger oops!
This was meant for ARAY....
so sorry. But I do own, and believe in, MTPW as well.
oops, not meant as a reply - new post

It might be possible that he needs the 9 mil to cover a corporate insurance bond for some subcontract. He'd have to show proof of the bond at the same time as the proposal, and that could tie up the money for 2-3 months. Add to that the fact that GWTR can't even speak of such a possibility until won. And if won, that 9 mil is "spoken for."
So many possibilities - so many reasons for silence.
I like your post, Piece.
I know that hope should not be a variable, but nor have I seen anything to make me not want to own my shares.
Is it possible that part of the reason for silence is the terrible hit API took from the shorts? As I recall API made an official complaint.
Possible news tomorrow, or at least this week.
From the Yahoo message board:
"I just contacted the company, answered very quickley, spoke with secretary. She advised George working on press release for tomorrow. Keep your eyes open for it as whatever it is is long overdue. Best to all "
Let's hope that time has been on our side!
Thanks, John --
Yes, S-trade did say I could take off the all/none, and if it was all filled in the same day it would be only one fee.
The buy did go through - at 0.0048. Now why in the world would I get that price when I offered .005?
Yes, I do suspect shade trees everywhere.
Is it manipulation or fractions?
Can anyone explain...
I placed a limit order at 1:08 - 60,000 (all or none) at 0.005. Now, an hour later, I've seen 89,000 bought and 100,000 sold. I called broker (Scottrade) and he looked up the 89K - saying it wasn't an open market buy. Then came the 100K.
Is this somehow MM activity or am I being held back for some mini-fractions of a penny? Or does the broker want the buy split up in order to earn more penny-stock fees???
Thanks, Slo
Started out long in early November and plan to stick with it.
Here's to a great 2008!
