THE ART OF A SCAM
PART 1
2007 Consumer Electronics Show Update: CES A Resounding Success For EGIL As Impressive Highlights Continue To Stack Up
LAS VEGAS & BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Edgetech International, Inc. (OTC:EGIL) is pleased to report that traffic to our 1,000 square foot booth (#12840), located in the Las Vegas Convention Center in between Samsung and Sony, continued to be overwhelming through day 3 and right up to the close yesterday. The response from the crowds participating in live demonstrations to The Edge, a unique, handheld, stand alone wireless unit with a built-in modem and full-screen display functioning at DSL-type speed, has been extremely positive.
The Edge remained victorious for all 4 days in a Speed Challenge offered to anyone with a wireless, handheld PDA or Pocket PC to test the speed of their unit against ours. According to Keith Jones, Edgetech’s Vice President and Executive Associate to the CEO, "If anyone visiting our booth could beat the speed of The Edge for performing Internet functions and accessing Web pages with their PDA, we would give them a free Edge unit. I'm very pleased to confirm, we did not give away a single Edge unit for the entire CES as it simply could not be beaten."
Management has been inundated with requests for media interviews and is taking full advantage of this priceless exposure. Live, on-the-spot interviews have taken place with the CBS New York affiliate, WCBS-TV (Channel 2), for their 11-o'clock news segment featuring hot new technology products of the 2007 CES, BBC America, rawVEGAS.tv, and by Robert Scoble, owner of one of the premier Techno Blogs on the Web, PodTech.net.
Talented recording artist, Jesse Hart, performed live at the Edgetech booth, giving us the distinction as the only exhibitor to feature a live musical performance from a recording artist affiliated with a major record label. EGIL has solidified a partnership with legendary music manager Lou Pearlman and his multi-Billion dollar Trans Continental conglomerate for the purpose of co-branding The Edge with all existing and future acts with Trans Continental Records to capitalize on their long term bankable track record.
As a result of connections made at the CES, Edgetech is currently in preliminary talks on 4 potential distribution contracts for The Edge. Progress is being made daily and contracts are being worked on at this time specifying a minimum threshold of 5,000 Edge units for each of the 4 possible distribution deals. EGIL is also in preliminary discussion on 2 possible corporate co-branding contracts. These contracts would involve Edge units with customized features to facilitate increased productivity for field sales reps. EGIL has begun negotiations with a major consumer electronics retail chain in order to carry The Edge as part of their regular product line. We are both excited and encouraged by all of our potential expansion and look forward to providing updates on these negotiations as they become available
A good starting point would be to ask their attorney and accountant. I think the attorney is a Mr. Valinsky.
I will try to get his name and contact info as well as the accountants information.
Will keep you guys updated.
Hey
It is just a matter of finding how to apply that same Free
Internet Access Model here in the USA.
I'm pretty sure many retailers and businesses would be interested in having ads running on a device that many individuals would like to have if the access was included with the price for one year.
Were is the flaw: the big "smartheads" of Edgetech are missing
in getting wholesale pricing from their carrier here in the USA. This is something that Datawind seems to be doing very well in other markets
CTIA is happening this week in Vegas... Datawind again is there. Lets see how they do this time.
Hey Guys
Although it is from last year, it still gives an honest review
of what this device is. Not bad but still needs a lot of work.
It seems Datawind is doing a great work. However their authorized distributor EGIL fails in every way possible,
over and over again.
Check it out

I.R.S...I.N.S...S.E.C...
They are coming soon
Could not agree more. I do believe somewhat in the potential of the device, I just do not trust the "pumpers -dumpers" in charge of the game in Edgetech.
I did some checking on Datawind and they seem to be a serious company. They are related to a company called Docupen that manufactures digital reading pens. They have been in the market for more than 20 years.
I would definitely start looking that way and leave the bunch of Edgetech on the Edge...
Great to have more EGIL people in this Board!!! !!!!!!!
What do you think guys.
LOL
Go to pocketables.net a very honest an objective review
of what really the PC Edge is.
From 1 to 5 I give it a 3.
Mick...Alwaysright...WTRB...
Very nice crafted up photo of the new Ray Lewis PC Edge.
Wish the same appeared at the Ray Lewis Website. Maybe that
way more Ray Lewis Units could be sold.
All in favor say YES!!!
WHEN?????
They stated that they had at least sold 30 units of the New Ray Lewis PC Edge Unit.
However it seems they spent around 250K for th event
Do the math?
How is this supposed to help?
A trip to the Superbowl... 250,000
25 Ray Lewis PC Edge Units sold...7,500
Return to Investors .... - 242,500
Out for the weekend also.
Did check out Ray Lewis site to try to get the
new Ray Lewis PC Edge edition.
No where to be found
Another desperate attempt to pump it up.
Less talk.. more action
That is what this product really needs.
Nitro.. Fedex
This is the type of information that helps. It is honest and ojective.
Thank You palmtree151
Nitro. I sure respect what you are doing. Dont be fooled by this post. This makes reference to old Pocketsurfer1. Read Below
Yes new Pocketsurfer is out in Germany and England. Yes there are reviews,(www.amazon.co.uk) My intention is not to bash the product. It works. However it sure needs improvement.
LOL

Consumers demand a wireless-web experience that is familiar. Over 8 billion pages of content and applications already exist on the web. The PocketSurfer instantly makes them mobile. Without the need to create new content for the plethora of wireless devices, the PocketSurfer makes your web- based desktop content mobile, and allows you as a developer or content provider to gain additional revenue from the mobile use of such content.
This section is designed to help you
1. Offer web-based content and services to PocketSurfer subscribers;
2. Provide mobility to your web-based content and services by offering the PocketSurfer to your existing subscribers.
While the applications can be as broad as the web, those that provide communication services time sensitive information or content to mobile professionals find the greatest acceptance.
DataWind's PocketSurfer Alliance Program, is a no-risk opportunity for developers and service providers to earn hardware margin from the sale of PocketSurfer devices and a residual recurring revenue profit from the service. As a result of this approach, we enable publishers and developers to create and deliver new wireless data products and services with minimal resource and capital investments. The barrier to entry is low; as is your upfront risk.
This program is designed to support developers that have existing content or wish to create new content, through the entire process of creating, marketing and billing for their services.
Note: If you have web-based content and applications today they already work on the PocketSurfer, you don't need to re-create new content.

It is true that Ray Lewis was on of the hosts of the best damn sports show edition of January 31
It sure would be good to have a video of his presentation of the PcEdge Ray Lewis Edition.
A press release is not enough.
I have to make a correction. Reviews are about the PocketSurfer2 which is the same as the New PC Edge.
To all interested. Here are some reviews of Datawind's Pocketsurfer in England.
Found at
www.amazon.co.uk
Good idea but very frustrating to use, 23 Jan 2008
By Frustrated of Fife - See all my reviews
I've been using this for a while now and I'm getting increasingly frustrated with it. Its good points are:
1) Loads web pages quite fast (if network isn't busy)
2) Free surfing.
Its bad points:
1) Constant 'network busy' messages often leading to disconnection.
2) Pages not loading properly (sometimes only half load)
3) Poor quality display (colour is terrible)
4) Poor battery life
5) Slow scrolling
6) Overall poor build quality
It's a good idea but needs some serious work to make it usable in the real world.

I am gadget mad but this just doesn't live up to expectations. Got if for Christmas and it will back with Amazon in the New Year. As a previous writer has said the article in Mobile Computing is spot on. Read it before buying- I wish I had! Actually I could have put up with most of the points made apart from the screen. It is awful, unreadable, terrible.. I thought my eye sight needed testing. The screen on my little Nokia 6300 is 1000 times better for web access.
Real shame cos a great concept but wait for version 3 or 4 or maybe 5!!
Just to confirm PalmTree
This was a release of EGIL in 2006... Same happened in 2007
with the delivery of 900 Units for immediate delivery in November. We are now close to mid of first quarter in 2008.
I would not say the Technology is that obsolete. What is obsolete is the sales model a.k.a as Keith Jones
Edgetech International Places Initial Order For 500 PocketSurfer Next-Generation Units For Immediate Distribution;...
Publication: Business Wire
Date: Wednesday, July 12 2006
Subject: Wireless Internet access
You are viewing page 1
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- Edgetech International, Inc. (OTC:EGIL) is responding swiftly to market forces by expediting order flow for 500 handheld wireless PocketSurfer Web access devices to be followed by immediate corporate and consumer distribution. EGIL will implement a systematic plan to fast track orders on a continuous basis to achieve its goal of 50,000 units, an end-of-year milestone that
will catapult its global image and market presence, in order to meet overwhelming demand for this cutting-edge technological breakthrough.
Recent meetings with the nation's hottest entertainers, A-list celebrities, All-Star caliber athletes, and leading member-based gaming Web Sites for the purpose of negotiating joint venture partnerships, are highly indicative that the PocketSurfer will take the market by storm. A fury of advertising, promotion, endorsement and co-branding with the revolutionary, wireless portable full-screen Internet device will place the PocketSurfer front and center in the eyes of the public and Edgetech International (OTC:EGIL) squarely on the map of global technology leaders.
The real mistake is that they sold what they did not have in the beginning. Real final product was ready just a couple of months ago and by that time competition already had alternatives out there.
What have the players in edgetech done all this time. Get funds and spend wildly on big parties and luxurious trips, just like they are doing right now with the pretext of selling pc edge units for applications like fantasy sports
during an event like the Superbowl.
Who is going to buy a device that does not have video streaming , or sound for a fantasy sports application and also during a superbowl after having paid at least a couple thousand for some tickets not counting hotel and airfare?
Not me.
This is the famous celebrity cafe article. Nothing new is said.
According to the article it should not be neccesary to carry a black berry ?
Also check last part of the article. Bummer. There are other devices that although not so fantastic in Internet , are fantastic in connection alternatives for the user.
PC Edge
Written by: TheCelebrityCafe.com Staff
Are you looking for a super lightweight computer that has the same
You'll want the new PC Edge, which is the world's first palm sized computer that provides mobile high speed Internet access at any time and anywhere.
For less than a dollar a day you, too, can access the World Wide Web from any place on the globe thanks to PC Edge's free GPS location based service. With the PC Edge, there's no excuse or reason why you can't access your desktop, laptop or server. Even if you are on vacation on a deserted island, with the PC Edge you can chat, IM, send and receive e-mails and do everything that you can normally do over the Internet. PC Edge's high speed Internet service delivers Internet pages to the palm of your hand in just 7 to 9 seconds.
The PC Edge is perfect for the working professional of any field. Realtors can use full HTML access to consult the latest MSL data, property listings and GPS locations and maps. Traveling executives can make and change flight reservations in an instant. Stock brokers can check real time trading. And students can create and save documents, use MySpace and consult transportation schedules for the vacation trip home.
The PC Edge can support almost any type of application. The next generation in palm-sized computers features a 640 pixel VGA quality screen, full QWERTY backlit keyboard and five hours active usage and five hours standby battery life. Plus, the PC Edge is a feather light computer that weighs only six ounces. It features a slick, thin design that is slim enough to fit in your pocket. For just $299 from The PC Edge, you too can have high speed Internet access in the palm of your hand. The only down side is that without a signal, it's lost. Trying to access any form of data in a basement is a hopeless cause. If this had a stand alone application and built in wifi we'd be in love.
Same happened last year., party....party... party...
And sales ? And real Product?
Not only attend the Superbowl. For you who might want to know lots of shares are being given out in the millions to some celebs under the promise of endorsements.
Wish I could have gotten my shares for free.
To all of you hopefuls
I got a bit of interesting details in reference to a past press release were the boys of Edgetech announced having passed the technology delay... NOT
Reality is as follows
Edgetech had an initial order for units branded as the Pocketsurfer2, original brand from Datawind.
Order then was changed the to brand the devices under the name The Edge.
By the end of the 1Q of last year, Edgetech decided again change the order, to now only have some original EDGE devices and the rest of the order would be with a pending new design in the make for a newPocketsurfer-2, which Edgetech called The PC Edge
Thats why it took 6 months more,
HA Ha
You go Nitro!
Im with you on this one
Best of lucks in your meeting. Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones that has ever met him.
This a product that has had already since its first inception(2004) as a unit that required to link to a cellphone via bluetooth. It sure has evolved a lot but still...
Others are out there with very similar devices and trend is that by the end of the year big names like MS, Nokia, amongst others wlll have fully mobile integrated devices that will allow you to do voice, internet, remote access to desktops as these devices will be able to connect to different networks at any given time (GSM. Wi-fi. CDMA.)
It will be a new day and we will see.
The story seems to repeat itself. Same happened last year..
lets hope this time they get the R.O.I and units are actually sold.
As per the initial 900 , I can say that they have not yet sold them; Why... a quick pass by their new offices in Lauderdale by the Sea.
If the company signed 1 Million subscribers in one year... maybe
That is my prediction
It is good to know what is really happening and not all the fabricated Press Releases.
This is how I see it.. Given that since almost a week ago it is impossible to reach Jones or the office... supposedly they are all the time in meetings and or a conference call
All becuase of a superbowl launch!!! They did this last year and the year before.. party ...party...party
With mobile office integration already out there and devices that yes are a little bigger in size and price but that can connect to several networks ... The PCEdge is dead and our hopes of making something out of it also dead.
Hey ... just check out the site www.pocketables.net
Great coverage for the PCEdge in CES
I guess .... maybe. Just check this video posted on the net
Hey are you one of them
You really seem to know a lot.
Hmmm.....
No connection at all. I just put some dough on it and am waiting .. and waiting ... and
