ActiveCore Forecasts Significant Revenue for the Four Quarters Ended June 30, 2008
Last update: 8/2/2007 10:35:00 AM
TORONTO, Aug 02, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- ActiveCore Technologies, Inc. (ATVE), a Company that operates as a payment technology solution provider with online, wireless and POS payment solutions, would like to quantify the projected revenue from the recently announced transactions and issue a statement over forthcoming announcements and bring clarity to the focus of the Company's product, sales and marketing strategy for the foreseeable future.
As previously announced ActiveCore has signed transactions with a number of UK entities over the past several weeks and is in the process of implementing a project delivery strategy, which includes the securing of funding required to support the business and projects necessary for a successful rollout. The first three implementations will be:
-- Young Masters Golf -- Business Scene Portal -- Prompt Payer Register
ActiveCore has also been very active in the Ontario K-12 School market where it recently completed a successful one year pilot of the CyBux School Cash Card System at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute. The Company is in negotiations to extend this considerably further into the Ontario school system and expects to close a number of sizeable deals with school boards prior to the commencement of the new school year in September of 2007. This major expansion of the CyBux schools program will significantly extend the reach of the CyBux product and establish ActiveCore in a market with massive opportunities for growth.
Following is the planned Revenue and associated EBITDA from the abovetransactions and projected School Board business for the cumulative quartersending June 30, 2008: Projected Projected Entity Name Revenue EBITDA Young Masters Golf $600,000 $221,000 Business Scene Portal $866,250 $319,650 Prompt Payer Register $630,000 $232,470 School Boards $5,271,000 $1,945,240 Note: the average EBITDA across all the above deals is 36.9%
The announcements and REVENUE/EBITDA figures listed above confirm the growing trend of consumers favoring pre paid debit card solutions over both credit cards and cash and further prove that the CyBux product is ideally placed to succeed in this rapidly growing market.
Mr. Hamilton, CEO of ActiveCore, stated, "Due to the excellent opportunities that have been generated with the CyBux Cash Card product, ActiveCore has decided to reassess its overall product and go to market strategy and after careful consideration and consultation with UK legal counsel, has decided to abandon the ePocket product set and the associated sales and marketing efforts. This decision was necessary in light of the large debt associated with the purchase of the ePocket subsidiary created by Tower Group's failure to provide the promised funding which was then compounded by recent changes to UK tax laws." Mr. Hamilton went on to say that, "Although the demise of ePocket is disappointing, it has allowed the Company to move forward more rapidly and focus solely on the sale of the CyBux product, resulting in the multiple successes listed above. Additionally, the removal of the ePocket division and associated debt has enabled the Company to approach alternative investors to secure funding and we are currently in final negotiations to secure sufficient funds to support the rollout of the CyBux products to the above listed as well as other organizations."

ActiveCore Continues Impressive CyBux Roll Out in Europe, Signs Deal With Prompt Payer Register
9:47a ET July 25, 2007 (PR NewsWire)
ActiveCore Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets: ATVE), a Company that operates as a payment technology solution provider with online, wireless and POS payment solutions, is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with The Prompt Payer Register Limited (PPR) to provide them with a self branded version of the CyBux(TM) Cash Card for their rapidly growing trading group members. The CyBux(TM) Cash Card will allow members to facilitate payment of all purchases related to their membership in the PPR as well as allow for business to business transactions between members. The PPR has attracted over 30,000 members, partners and associates to date, all who have proven their credit worthiness and want to trade with other ethical companies to show that prompt payment is good for business. The PPR accreditation is becoming a recognized standard across industries with the number of registered businesses set to increase to more than 100,000 by the end of 2007.
The Prompt Payer Register was started in 2003 to address the growing issue of poor payment practices in the UK adversely affecting thousands of businesses, many of which were being forced into bankruptcy and closure as a result. Despite government legislation attempts to remedy the problem, the situation is only worsening. In 2003, the average wait for payment was 57 days and it has since increased to 61. Prompt Payer has partnered with UK credit agencies 'Experian and Equifax' to establish a network of like minded businesses who are proud to advertise that they pay their bills on time and by doing so demonstrate that they are honorable and trustworthy people to do business with.
Mark Flower, Managing Director of The Prompt Payer Register, stated, "We have been researching the pre paid debit card market for some time now and are delighted to announce our decision to adopt the CyBux(TM) Cash Card as our exclusive prepaid cash card payment solution for member transactions. Each and every member of the PPR Network shall receive a 'Prompt Payer' branded card as an integral part of their membership. The card will enable them to purchase goods from other member organizations and benefit from discounted promotions and incentives from our growing number of associated bodies. Mr. Flower went on to say, "Late payment affects every company large and small, harming reputation and damaging business relationships, it is our intention to provide a platform from which improved standards across industry will result in tangible benefits being offered to those who meet our criteria."
Neil Fishenden, Chief Executive Officer of ActiveCore Europe, a wholly owned UK subsidiary of ActiveCore, stated, "We are delighted to have secured the exclusive provision of our Cash Card solution for the use of Prompt Payer members and maintain our considerable momentum in winning key strategic implementations within the UK market. Prompt Payer's impressive list of supporting partners will allow members to use the PPR branded CyBux card to purchase products and services from partner organizations as well a number of blue chip organizations and members. ActiveCore and PPR have also agreed to jointly develop a trading platform within which partner organizations -- members and ultimately their employees -- can all list products for sale and purchase online from organizations that are committed to a strict ethical code of conduct for business. Mr. Fishenden continued by saying that, "this is the most significant deal to date for the roll out of the CyBux product in the UK and will open up many new and exciting opportunities for ActiveCore throughout both the UK and European markets. PPR are a very high profile client with a solid reputation, a rapidly growing member base and an exciting business model and we are delighted to be partnering with them in this way."
Peter Hamilton, Chief Executive Officer of ActiveCore, added, "We are thrilled with the reception the CyBux product has received in the UK market. Mr. Fishenden and Mr. Hortop's combined efforts have resulted in us rapidly securing a number of high profile contracts in the European market that will go a long way toward achieving our overall sales targets for the Company as a whole." Mr. Hamilton went on to say that, "In addition to our efforts in Europe, we continue to aggressively pursue a number of opportunities in the North American market, specifically the North American K-12 School System. We anticipate being able to release a major deal for this market place in the very near future."
Prompt Payer is the fastest growing business register in the UK supporting and promoting companies to pay on time. It is the intention of Prompt Payer to work with the credit agencies and UK government to highlight the growing number of issues associated with late payment. It is a little known fact that:
Nearly half of all invoices are overdue. 20 billion pounds sterling a year is lost to late and unpaid invoices. Thousands of companies go bankrupt through late payment. Late payment threatens British Business ... and is getting worse.
PPR can help member companies in many ways and promote member benefits to those companies who sign up to the program, which include:
You will be joining the world's fastest growing ethical trading register. Membership indicates a successful, moral and ethical company. Use of the Prompt Payer logo. Existing businesses will enhance their credit rating. New businesses will immediately obtain a credit rating. Attract new and better customers and preferential terms from suppliers. Improve cash flow, reduce bad debts and overheads and increase profits. Support the Cystic Fibrosis trust.
About Prompt Payer Register (http://www.promptpayer.co.uk)
The register was started in 2003, and was born out of frustration with poor payment practices in the UK, which adversely affect thousands of businesses bringing many into bankruptcy and closure. The PPR solution is to gather together like minded businesses who are proud to advertise they pay their bills on time...who are honourable and trustworthy people to deal with....whose word is their bond...in short. In this short time the register has attracted over 30,000 members, partners and associates who want to trade with other ethical companies and show that prompt payment is good for business. The PP Register has put together a number of products and services for our members which help maintain and promote prompt payment and good business practise. First and foremost, membership will enhance the credit rating of established and new businesses.

ActiveCore Perfectly Positioned as Consumers & Corporations Increase Online & Value Stored/Debit Card Spending
10:38a ET July 19, 2007 (PR NewsWire)
ActiveCore Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets: ATVE), a Company that operates as a payment technology solution provider with online, wireless and POS payment solutions, would like to bring its shareholders up to date on the increase in online and debit card based spending trends of both consumers and corporations in the UK market, where ActiveCore's recent success in securing contracts for the use of the CyBux Cash Card System for online, mobile and POS based payments is set to continue.
The latest research shows: -- total online spending has topped pounds Sterling 10bn, while online revenues for retailers tipped four per cent of total retail spending -- both for the first time. Online spending in the UK is predicted to reach pounds 28.1bn by 2011. -- card-not-present fraud losses have increased by 16 per cent in the last year and now account for just under 50% of all card fraud losses and this is driving consumers and corporations to use more secure pre-paid private labeled cards (such as Cybux) for online buying. -- Plastic spending has tripled in the last ten years and private labeled debit cards (such as Cybux) are more popular than ever before.
The following initiatives highlight just some of the activity that is happening with gift and prepaid cards in the UK market- the market that CyBux will compete in:
Vue Cinema Gift Card launch
Fifty-eight cinemas across the UK will offer Vue gift cards, which are useable towards the purchase of cinema tickets, refreshments or any other goods on sale at Vue cinemas. This prepaid technology is fully integrated into Vue point of sale machines and is very similar to the Cybux POS integration that we have spoken of in earlier releases. (Source date: 1st July, 2007)
Virgin Money to launch pre-paid Card
Virgin Money is to launch a pre-paid Card in the UK this summer. The Virgin Money pre-paid card is not attached to any bank account and can be loaded with cash through 34,000 PayPoint and Post Office outlets across the UK and can also be topped up through wage transfers, credit or debit cards online and bank transfers and shares many features offered by ActiveCore's CyBux Cash Card System. (Source date: 4th July, 2007)
Vodafone offers direct access to bank accounts
Vodafone is to offer subscribers direct access to their finances through a link with a mobile banking network. The service allows mobile banking customers' to check their balance, request a mini-statement and top-up their mobile phone accounts. This application is similar to the recently announced "CyBux Mobi" product. (Source date: 9th July, 2007)
Plastic spending rising in UK
Debit cards accounted for 61 per cent of the plastic card spent (pounds 195 billion and over five times that spent in 1996) and credit cards 39 per cent (pounds 126 billion and over twice that spent in 1996).
The total value of plastic card payments received by UK merchants, retailers and service providers has more than tripled in the last ten years, according to a report by APACS.
UK consumer spending 2006 1996 % change On plastic cards pounds 321bn pounds 87bn +269% On debit cards pounds 195bn pounds 37bn +427% On credit cards pounds 126bn pounds 50bn +152% Automated payments* pounds 272bn pounds 101bn +169% Cheques pounds 164bn pounds 172bn -5% Cash pounds 274bn pounds 235bn +17%
*Automated payments include direct debits, direct credits, other automated credits, standing orders and the same-day CHAPS service. (Source date: 3rd July, 2007)
Recent announcements by ActiveCore confirm the growing trend of consumers favouring pre paid debit card solutions over credit or cash and prove the Cybux product to be ideally placed to succeed in this emerging environment.
The CyBux Cash Card offers a prepaid cash card payment system that gives consumers a risk-free solution for both online and POS shopping. Unlike other systems, the consumer does not need a credit card to fund their account, nor do they need to disclose any personal information. ActiveCore markets its technology in the form of two programs.
The School CashCard program offers public and private schools an automated method for accepting payments from parents and/or students that will significantly reduce administrative costs. Uniquely, the program also creates a new and perpetual revenue stream for each participating school and ease of use for parents and students reducing bullying and misuse of funds.
* See press release 'ActiveCore Completes Extensive Pilot of the CyBux Online Payment System for Schools' dated June 13th 2007).
The Merch CashCard program offers online merchants a self-branded e-payment mechanism that eliminates consumers' two greatest fears about online shopping -- use of credit cards, and disclosure of personal information -- and significantly reduces merchants' transaction processing costs. Unlike competitive systems, the program enables merchants to tap into the teen and young-adult market segments, most of whom don't hold credit cards.

Mr. Neil Fishenden, ActiveCore Europe CEO stated, "The recent CyBux successes in the UK reflect the trends discussed in this release. The way people and companies want to transact their purchases is changing and the demand for CyBux type solutions is increasing rapidly in both the UK and around the world." Mr. Fishenden went on to say that, "Our CyBux Cash Card Solution is an excellent product that meets the needs of this new and rapidly expanding market and we believe we will continue to see tremendous success with this product in the both the UK and European markets."
