>>So 227,272 should expect to go from 20/400 to 20/40. Thats without refined injections and some with bettor vision.<<
Agree. Even though we have on record, a patient dramatically going from 20/400 to 20/40 vision , that is not to say this was the "only" improvement in eyesight witnessed. Even lesser improvement in other patients would be seriously successful news. Improvement or even HALTING of sight deteriation for these deseases is MAJOR news. By allowing treatment earlier in the diagnosis of the desease, before serious sight loss, and halting or slowing the progression of the desease, would be a very successful accomplishment since there is NO other comparable treatment for said deseases. Therefore, that is why I feel it is very noteworthy that the trials have been adjusted to allow for less serious patients to recieve cell implantation. Dont forget we are early in these trials with what is still low dosage of cells at this stage. Hopefully with results, we will see higher dosages and more significant results. Remember Phase I is primarily for safety, so caution was practiced with low dosage and more severely afflicted patients. With safety all but comfirmed, certain restrictions should be lifted to hopefully reveal more favorable results with those less afflicted.
Biotechs are always a circus, especially start ups with nothing in the pipeline but hope with "potential" FDA acceptance of new drug/device application. The price of the stock is easily emotionally moved by rumors, news and hype. Its the nature of the beast. So sit tight all, have that antacid at your bedside and rest comfortably. In this circus, we are the high wire act.
If this price rise holds for the day, that to me is a good sign. Seen too many times the price fall at close from day traders doing their thing,
"Somethin's happenin here. What it is ain't exactly clear. There's a man with "sell" over there, tellin me, I got to beware. Everybody stop now, what's that sound, everybody look whats goin round." ---- I'll tell you goin on. Its the sound of the cash register ringing. People are buying and its about time. The upside of .07 is a helluva lot higher than the downside. It was/ is, IMO, only a matter of time before we ascend higher from this dismal price with such an amazing, revolutionary medical breakthrough possibility!
Exactly! That is why I see the allowance of patients with less severe eyesight loss as a major decision by the regulators of this trial and a good sign. The earlier the procedure, the more beneficial to the patients of this trial. To be able to stop the progression of eyesight deteriation is huge and when/if approved, will be prescribed at the earliest sign of diagnosis. This in itself is a home run. --- To restore vision lost is a Grand Slam!
Agree. But I can't see how he would lie and mislead the public on this accompishment unless he was willing to destroy his position and/or the company's credibility. Shady is one thing, but flat out lies are self incriminating.
>>The sooner this gets approved, the better for people in this condition, and the better for everyone.<<
Can you say "fast track"????
The more good news without incidents and the possibility of better results from less serious desease (sight deterioration) could be the formula for this. C'mon day traders, hold this price down a little longer so I can add at these prices.
This investor has never sold a share of ACTC, so I know that I cant be blamed for bringing the staock price down. I have only added when I feel there is an unreasonable and/or executed drop in price from so called traders. Let those prognosticaters do their thing trying to time the ups and downs in the share price. Good luck to them, but IMO that is playing with FIRE, and the real BURN will come if good news hits and they're sitting on the sidelines after a sale. I would much rather buy shares, store them away and wait it (trials) out. To each their own. I sleep at night and let the MMs do there thing. I think all (traders and investors) will agree on ONE thing - that if this is successful it is "BIG"!
I have been following this company for years and a shareholder. I have never recalled hearing that statement from Lanza on such dramatic improvement in eyesight. Does anyone else recall this?
Timing the market is too difficult, I'd much rather hold and add on dips and news. Being "out" when big news hits, hurts more than the daily ups and downs of the stock price. Not to say it can't be fruitful, but also can be painful.
Been there, done that!
I truly believe that the "street" would veiw his replacement as a positve and send the stock price higher. Plus he (Rabin) could devote full time to his real passion: Gambling!
That would be a good thing, at least to this shareholder of years. He did his job -- got the financing to commence these trials. Now, unless he is qualified as a negotiator for partnering and/or sellout to big pharma, it is time to step down and give the reins to someone more qualified in those areas. I can"t see this company going it alone with commercialization, at least NOT with a hedge fund manager as CEO. Fat chance that he'll do this and walk away from his ridiculously high compensation package. Where's our board of diectors?
A forced Rabin resignation would be viewed, at least to this shareholder, as a positive.
>>The SEC thing should have been over by now, but they must have saw
something else in their investigation.<
That is total personal conjecture and is no way close to being fact. Length of investigative time has absolutely no implication of guilty or not guilty.
If he (Lanza) leaves ACT , there is no ACT. HE IS ACT! IT sure as heck is NOT Rabin's expertice that is the future of this company. IMO, if Rabin stepped down or the board made a change in CEOs, there would be a positive reaction to the news.
He (Rabin) is/was nothing but a hedge fund manager. He has NO qualifications to take this company any farther than it is right now. His sole purpose, IMO, was to solicit financing from capital investment firms and get this company financed for trials. Mission accomplished! Now its time to find a nongambling CEO to take this company to the next step, albeit commercialization, partnership or buyout. Right now he IS the negative in my view of this company. From day one of my investment in this company I have always been skeptical of this man as CEO. But because of the science and the potential explosive response from positive trial results, I have held and added along the way. My only concern is that if this was a certain success known by insiders why do we have such a shmuck as a CEO. If by any chance there IS a change of CEO, to one who can run a major operation, credibility can then be restored. But right now, with Rabin in charge while collecting unwarranted compensation and selling FREE shares, a dark cloud will hover over this company. All IMO!
And that is intended to be "bad" news? Sounds like it would be good news.
I feel the same way. Been in this for about 3 years minimum. The science is what I stay in for, NOT the CEO. My feeling is that "our" man Rabin is here for, and his job is, to solicit financing for this company for these trials. Thus his numerous song and dance performances at investors conferences. Does he have knowledge of the science? Probably not. But thats what Lanza is all about. Without Lanza there is no ACTC. It is his brain that will decide the future of ACTC, not Rabin. If due to Lanza's life long work, these trials are successful, this will be a home run. All the talk of eventual buyout or partnerships will just be additional euphoria. The SCIENCE is what this investment is all about, and if successful Rabin has done his job keeping this company afloat til then. Afterwards if (and thats a big "if) this company is to go it alone, a REAL CEO who has experience running a major business is needed. Does the CEO sale of stock bother me? Hell yes, and that is why I am reluctant to buy more and why the price is buried at the lows. But to leave now and miss out on one of the greatest historical medical achievements and breakthoughs would be disheartening to say the least.
In order for this to be profit taking, there had to be a prior rise in the stock price, of which has not occurred. Sorry can't buy that this is the cause for decline. How about just another "no news" day.
Thanks Rocky for this info. Seemed to have missed this. Hopefully exciting things to come. I know some want to hear updates from the trials more often, but I, myself, would rather they wait after compiling more data and the release the "earth shattering" news all at once. More bang for the buck when news comes out of nowhere. And in the meantime this gives us more time to accumulate shares at these discount prices.
WOW. Great find find Joey. all readers of this board should read this.

I agree, been in this for years, and never thought at this time, with the progress over the years and in these trials, that the price of this stock would be this low. Most stocks trade at "future" expected accomplishments and potential. Not this stock. What greater potential than a cure for the sightless? How about more potential blockbuster usages for these cells, just one of which is unlimited blood platelets. Yet the stock price has declined over time, even after encouraging news from the trials. Manipulated stock price by those with powers? A CEO that is perceived as a joke (and gambler)? Too many financial funding problems created from past administration with bondholders holding us hostage? Pick one and maybe all are the answer as to why we hover this low in the pennies. Oh yeah, SEC problem too. That said, I am not selling but still buying MORE. Go figure!

The last time one of the great prognasticators on this board predicted a demise of the stock price to the fours it ascended to the nines. I hope you are as insightful.
You would think so, wouldn't you? But logic isn't considered when there's work to be done
Thanks Rocky, I also remember a while back reading what Don Yan was referring to of non engraftment in AMD patients. This has always stayed in the back of my mind as a ???, and wanted to hear further confirmation. Thanks again.
All standard disclaimor rhetoric used by start up companies in reports to shareholders. You will find same language in most all public companies.
Repeating the same post over and over does not make it more factual or believable.
Watching Actc trials and advancments is like watching history in the making before it is standard literature in text books for future generations.
--or the season before that and the season before that. That is how long I have been in this stock, never selling a share (not that great of a decision), but only adding throughout time. Price goes down - I add some more, price goes up - I add some more. I have found in the past that trying to time the market with buys and sells can be very frustrating, so holding and accumulating is less stressful. Will it work out in the long run? No one really knows. -- NOT ANY OF THE DOOM AND GLOOMERS who post here everyday OR the pumpers. All I do know is that IF this is successful, it is BIG! It is what every investor is looking for in a blockbuster investment: revolutionizing, historical, news breaking, MEDICAL BREAKTHROUGH. It is a Microsoft / IBM in its infancy. How many would have loved to have bought those at its conception and held. What even makes it better is that it HELPS and AIDS mankind by treating previously incurable deteriorating diseases. And if this works, it is most definitely the tip of the iceburg. The science, once proven, will broaden out to many other treatments and cures. Growing tissue and organs from cells, futuristic as it sounds, can be right around the corner. Nothing can hold this (stem cell research) down if successful. No religious/ ethical activists can beat down its progress. All too many families have love ones suffering from diseases that stem cells are trying to cure: blindness, blood disorders, paralysis, heart disease. There never should be anyone or anything that stifles this evolution. Sad to see some spend countless hours bashing this progress. C'mon people, this is big! --I am NOT a pumper, just a hopeful investor for the science.
>>the best estimate when the SEC will act and finalize this problem<<
Its (SEC) a "government agency"! That is all you have to know when estimating how "LONG" it will take. Kind of like the FDA.
"gizmo"?? I thought this (stem cell implantation) was a procedure. A ground breaking, news shattering, historic medical achievement, procedure. I guess I was wrong. Maybe you have your message boards mixed up and you meant to post on the other message board you frequent: BIEL. That one has a product not a procedure.
YEP, that seems about right. Definitely a probability of what's happening right now. Good news (Europe launch) and bad news (dilution). Thanks for sharing.
>>"We expect that research and development expenses will increase in the foreseeable future as we add personnel, expand our pre-clinical research, continue clinical trial activities, and increase our regulatory compliance capabilities."<<
Thanks for sharing this positive statement again as we (company) must be armed and ready for the "expected" good news from trials.
Please continue posting positve news you find.
GREAT NEWS! All will be necessary when we get the "GO" from FDA. Glad to see they (management) are preparing for the expected. Thanks for sharing THIS!
>>new boys<< ????
I cant speak for others, but I am SO EXCITING and looking forward to it. Please hurry!
Getting everything ready in advance (for PMA) makes all the sense in the world. That is why I am certainly NOT expecting it to happen from this management.
