An interesting theory... but I don't think Exxon is that foolish.
Or that interested in carbon capture...
Purely a publicity stunt.
THE TRUTH:
What I said: "CLNE's share price has little to do with the price of oil or the weight of EV's... "
What PACK said I said: "pps of Clean isn't at all effected by the price of oil / diesel."
And the correct term is "affected" not "effected"
Just protecting the truth and proper English.
ZEUS , That would be a great idea !!!
Let's use what little money we have left to get into a business we know even less about. BRILLIANT !!!
That's why FORD, GM, TOYOTA et al are in the retail gasoline business too.
(sarcasm)
Ha Ha Ha EXXON is expanding their research facility because they just closed a major facility in Texas and are moving their research to one location.
NOT REALLY AN EXPANSION...IS IT?
Toyota is pushing Fuel Cell Vehicles...
BUT NOT FCEL.
Shub... there are so many ZEV options out there ...H-2 is just one.
And since the only real market for These and NGV's are municipal buses and garbage trucks, they don't really care about costs...if they did, Wrpt would be gone by now.
The size of the molecule doesn't matter...
Near-zero is not the new standard..
ZEV's and no FOSSIL FUELS... are the new standards.
ANOTHER Truth Teller.!!!
I post what ever I want and only the truth.
If my DD finds out the truth about Fuel Cells in boats, or the USPS decision making criteria... I like adding that information to this discussion.
Ha Ha... funny!!
Exxon is spending more on advertising their ONE-OFF CC Science experiment, than they are on the project itself.
Purely a publicity stunt, great PR.
"We are sooo green."
That's not what I said..
Try quoting me correctly...
I concur , but lots of vehicle buyers make uniformed decisions which is why EV's are selling like crazy.
Your points will affect repeat buyers decisions more...
Or those who make the decisions, but don't use the vehicles, like the USPS and Muni's.
I got lots more Pack.
Oil ain't goin nowhere unless there is a war...
And you may remember I said CLNE's share price has little to do with the price of oil or the weight of EV's... But you just keep focusing on THOSE IMPORTANT METRICS...and I will keep watching ROI's and ROCE's...
Here is why the USPS is going ELECTRIC / HYBRID !
http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1113175_electric-cars-win-on-energy-efficiency-vs-hydrogen-gasoline-diesel-analysis
The infrastructure is already in place.!
IN THE MEANTIME...
I am covering some of my shorts I got in the $3.90's, but I am waiting to cover the rest in the $2.00's
Hey Boys, Here's another nice article...
http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1113175_electric-cars-win-on-energy-efficiency-vs-hydrogen-gasoline-diesel-analysis
ARE WE UNDER $2.40...AGAIN ????
Why??? I thought that there is a backlog of trucks somewhere???
I guess that those are diesel trucks.
GOOD DAY !
Here's another nice article!!!
CUMMINS IS GOING ELECTRIC... Cummins doesn't care if one state has a problem with their grid... 49 other staes don't.
UH, OH...CUMMINS IS GOING ZEV !!!
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/cummins-cmi-power-gillig-apos-134401577.html
Boy, Have I been wrong…
WPRT has gone from $0.82 to $3.75 in less than a year, on very little news.
BUT…, am I really wrong?
Exactly why has WPRT’s share price increased by 4-X on little meaningful news?
Why has one of the largest individual shareholders DUMPED his shares in September?
Why have there been $0.20+ swings in the share price day-to-day?
What happens to the WPRT share price after the lock-up period ?
What would be the WPRT perfect storm?
1.) The share price crashes after the lock-up
2.) The Q financials are flat, mixed or bad
3.) WPRT needs to raise new funds at the lower share/strike price
4.) A reverse split or convertible is needed to accomplish the raise
Adjusting for a reverse split, we could be back below $1.00 in no time !
Really Zeus??? What is the name of the electric car company that Shell is acquiring? TESLA? VW? KIA? MB? VOLVO?
I read a story, yesterday that Shell was buying an electric car CHARGING company... I wonder if those two headlines are related?
I wonder if one of us is WRONG !
Soooo.... you don't know...
So why did you post? Just to make noise?
FULL ZEV's will be the big winners for the Ports in LA.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/toyota-fuel-cell-big-rigs-130000639.html?exp=vv
Does this test vehicle have ANY PLUG parts?
No this is not the low...for the new lows we have to wait until the quarterly "earnings".
Yes I did look at the requirements...
and here are the answers to your questions in BOLD:
YOU: Did you notice the requirements?
Must be able to carry 1500# and 155 cf of cargo space. The vehicle is rated for 1,600 pounds and 160 CF
Those are two very important features. I wonder what the cost is? $25-$35 K depending on features.
YOU: Did you also read they are evaluating alternative fuel vehicles? YES; EV's ; FCV's; H-2; NGV's and Hybrids. Hybrids are leading because of the lack of infrstructure for natural gas and Hydrogen re-fueling.
With NO major retailers rolling out natural gas or Hydrogen, there is insufficient re-fueling capacity in most postal territories.
Having multiple vehicles with differing fuels would greatly limit inter-changeability, so the test vehicles with the largest supporting infrastructure are gasoline and diesel hybrids.
ZEV Trucks operating in LA PORTS !
Seen on Yahoo.
https://www.theverge.com/2017/10/12/16461412/toyota-hydrogen-fuel-cell-truck-port-la
My opinion and your reality.
NGV's time has passed. ZEV's are the solution, NGV's don't qualify.
The USPS has given natural gas several years to get up to speed , but the growth has been less than stellar.
With no major gasoline retailer adopting widespread CNG, Natural Gas Vehicles are not a viable option for the USPS.
Why not post a link?
Pointless Banger... the EV is a one-off vs two stock Vehicles.
I am not impressed.
Banger, no stock postal vehicle will out perform an i-8.
And standard, stock, run of production EV's ought to beat a hybrid, for about a 1/4 mile. Think TESLA's Ludicrous Mode. But kiss your range good-bye.
For normal, everyday driving, the i-8 ought to be the winner for performance and range... although the mail trucks will beat my trunk space.
Please post the link of an EV 18 wheeler beating a Ferrari, I have never seen such a demonstration or video.
Let me give you all a clue about the USPS decision.
NOT NGV ! Think hybrid. The infrastructure is already in place.
Lack of fueling options has eliminated NGV's from the competition...
More FACTS to follow.
Here is another interesting article:
UH OH... Look at what the USPS is TESTING !
https://www.trucks.com/2017/10/09/spy-shots-postal-service-workhorse-electric-mail-truck/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
Gasoline hybrid
NEWS about the USPS TESTS.
https://www.trucks.com/2017/10/09/spy-shots-postal-service-workhorse-electric-mail-truck/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
Gasoline Hybrid !
They know it is a BMW system because Workhorse said so.
Workhorse is providing the powertrain for this vehicle and they use a system similar to the one found in the BMW i-3.
I have the i-8 version which is amazing, but I doubt that the USPS is looking for i-8 type performance.
Yes...Fake news on both sides...
Either way it hurts the stock.
WRONG AGAIN ..
This one is too easy...
I like H-2 and fuell cells... But not this stock.
Does anyone think we are about to get some BAD PLUG NEWS?
It is business ... it is a small niche business and shrinking...
Because ZEV's are here and soon buses and garbage trucks will be ZEV's as well.
There will always be NGV's (until ICE's are banned), just not as many as you are hoping for.
AND DON"T FORGET CUMMINS !!! ZEV's are the future.
