I would be interested in knowing how a product can fail a beta test and a field test. The product can't go to a field test unless it passes the beta test first.
A press release from 2013 means absolutely nothing if the strategy has changed since that press release.
Some of you think that this is a stupid strategy, but it is in fact the most brilliant strategy that I can imagine being employed.
The rollout out is happening, the revenues there, and the product is a success. Just because you aren't seeing it doesn't mean its not happening
You're right, that is hilarious! You just made a statement that you admit it was your opinion(IMO) and then called my opinion speculation . Isn't that what an opinion is?
Assistive technology runs in the background. Not having an actual visual observation of the rollout does not mean that it's not happening.
In addition, just because the rollout has not been announced does not mean that it's not happening either.
It's impossible to determine the tangible worth of a company based strictly on data when there are things happening in the background that are neither reported nor nakedly observed.
The critical question becomes: have there ever been any companies purchased by major companies that didn't have any revenues or any customers? The answer is yes.
And then it went up 130%, but that's a positive thing. So let's just ignore it.
I derive much confidence from today's close. Just enough to counter my disappointment in the rollout situation. I know we are all clamoring for that news. Hang in there. I get the feeling it is closer than any of us know. That the NDAs are about to fall away.
LTG. Thanks for the quote. Is there any scenario under which keeping good news under one's hat becomes necessary?
There is one such scenario. When you see it, you'll smile. If you don't, you'll continue to shake your head at me. Either is acceptable for me. It's unconventional and I don't expect everyone to get it.
Hohum. Yawn yawn. This really isn't that hard. I can't believe that the naysaying geniuses with all their matrix's, abstract history lessons, baseless personal insults against Bruce, and transparently delivered psychological nudity can't figure out what's really going on here.
In reference to the beta tests: why do you think that they have not been reported as being successful or failures?
Consider this. Why would the recent financiers go to such lengths to obtain preferred stock in this company if it's beta testing and technological advancements were such massive failures? Why? They weren't failures. So, why wouldn't Bruce come out with announcements of massive success? Think. Has it ever occurred to you that he doesn't want potential buyers be privy to his level of success?
Your inability to decipher such a simple scenario is about to crush you. Stop depending on only the research you are able to uncover and start reading the tea leaves.
I'm going back into my cave now. The female Panther I've been shacking up with is getting lonely.
That kind of activity is really annoying. It's almost as if there are Miniature Alliances out there selling back and forth to each other to slowly chip away at the stock price. LOL
That kind of activity will be mostly insignificant if the rollout happens soon. 15 days to go. It's not the end of the world if the rollout doesn't happen within that time frame, but I have to admit that I will be somewhat disappointed if it doesn't. The loyal longs in VLDI need to be rewarded with a timely roll out to further confidence within this group.
share check: just Short of 2 million shares safely put away in my cave
What a great day. Even with some of the older investors taking profits, I'm very encouraged by this. The $0.10 class A shares are a bit of a surprise. When you consider the trading trends of VLDI, those who have provided that kind of financing must have an enormous amount of confidence in the company.
Furthermore, the secured financing of the technology implementation and needed rollout capital is a brilliant strategy and a much needed shit in the arm. IMO we are all about to see a series of news releases related to product implementation and subsequent revenue generation. As these implementations continue to generate populated user endpoint, the value of the company will gain some serious steam into a range that some of us might not have thought previously possible.
Now if you'll excuse me, I shall Retreat to my cave and hibernate
No one is holding tight? That's funny, I haven't sold any shares since March of 2015. Wouldn't you characterize that as holding tight?
Once again, making a truth claim that can't possibly be known. And, in this case, was entirely false.
I'm going with at least 6 billy. I base that on the Candy Crush acquisition.
The 60 Minutes piece about 4 weeks ago was certainly an eye-opener. IMO the next news release should be the last news release. If the technology does what is claimed, it will be acquired. Not just contracted
Bingo! We have a winner! That fits in with my theory on the acquisition and why you don't present this technology at the recent cyber security Symposium held in February. There's more to all this than meets the eye. Bruce expressed specifically a couple of different times that the company is in stealth mode. There's a reason for that and I think I might have an idea of why. This is setting up beautifully and I think along investors in this group are going to be extremely happy
It's impossible to know that nobody is shorting vldi. What the market believes is based on imperfect and incomplete information. Therefore, jmo, what the market believes and the corresponding share price is irrelevant.
Now if you'll excuse me, I will slink back into my corner due to my limited message ban.
I really don't know any more than you guys. In fact, I know less than most of you. Afterall, you guys have been sharing information in this forum long before I came on the scene. But I think there's something more going on here that is being missed. It's just a theory and if I'm right about it, Bruce is a genius. Maybe it takes a total novice investor like me to formulate a different perspective. I'm definitely a novice.
God no! No clue. Not even really sure that there is an acquisition deal. I've been trying to put two and two together on this thing combined with my speculation that the technology does what Bruce said it does.
But I have to admit that I am more excited about the next couple of weeks than I have been in a very long time. I know some of you following the stock have been in this thing longer than I have. Some of you much longer.
I have a certain belief system regarding the non-disclosure agreements and building value within the company. But I certainly can't claim to read the tea leaves any better than the rest of you in this group. I'll keep trying though
Totally agreed. However, if an acquisition is truly in play, there could be a potential bidding war. The company with the most to gain should also have the most cash on hand. At least that's what would help us the most. Plus, I'm just curious as to what this group thinks.
I think lovethatgreen has a meaningful and plausible set of potential suitors with Google, Amazon, and MSFT. I can't make an argument for who would have the most to gain assuming that vldi has the technology it claims. Can anyone lend a piece of expertise?
I'm guessing a buyout. Google is my first inclination
Surwin has done a great job at proving what he set out to prove. The problem is that it's irrelevant. It is always what you don't know that hurts you.
There are reasons that revenues haven't been reported. You seem to think it's because we don't have any customers. You act as though there's no outside interest in the technology. That would be incorrect.
There are reasons that you don't unvail your technology at some kind of a cyber security trade show or whatever. Once again, it's what you don't know that is hurting you in this situation.
Again, get in as strong as you possibly can and stay in. If you don't, you'll be regretting it.
I'm soooo ready. I've been a true believer for a couple years. Hoping for the payoff
Really thankful for a strong week. Sorely needed. Now all we need is a solid piece of news as a follow up. A little favor from the momentum gods.
The stories I read didn't disclose the particulars of the deal. Do you know what the purchase price was?
The last I heard of any timeline, it was 2nd quarter for the application rollout. When has anyone heard something about 3rd quarter grumblings and in what context?
Yes!!! Exactly! That's why I have been saying there's more to all this than meets the eye. Not because I know anything, but because the characteristics of an acquisition quiet period have been in effect from what I can tell. I don't claim to know everything, but this company appears to be going through something that resembles a quiet period.
Every application is connected to mobile and Cloud security. Remember that we are waiting for a global rollout of the messaging application. Read the article again and consider the idea that Bruce has been engaging in non-disclosure agreements.
The press release that is done on a day other than Tuesday would indicate that it's controlled by a larger entity. That's what we're looking for.
No release today is a good thing. The VLDI sanctioned releases are usually of the lame sort.... at least to the casual observer.
Not impatient at all. I was just trying to get a feel for what everyone else thought. I've been invested for about 2 years, so I'm not entirely new.
Okay, so what are the odds that we have a news release tomorrow? I'm laying my bet at 4-1 against. Just because things always seem to happen later rather than sooner.
Lol. Well, if he's collaborating with Google or Amazon or Microsoft, I will certainly give a s... about that. You know what I'm saying. But I get your point. None of us want to see news of a collaboration between Validian and Ted's Crab Shack.
Zzzzzzz....... Lol. It seems as though Tuesday is usually PR day for Bruce. Am I wrong in that assessment?
I think it's important to remember that there have been plenty of tech stocks that have been acquired by larger companies before they even had a single customer. This includes the field of data protection. With any micro-cap it always comes down to one of two things. Do you have a whole-hearted belief in the leadership or do you have a belief in the technology or concept as being so proprietary, that it can't possibly fail. I have about 80% safe and Bruce and 50% safe that the technology exists and works as he says it does. I guess my chances of reaping the rewards are about 65% in my view.
And they'll continue to do it if we give in to the day trading game. They're free to do that if the wish, but I won't part with a single share for that kind of price. It's robbery.
This is starting to look like intentional depression of the price for personal gain.
As Tom Petty eloquently wrote: "the waiting is the hardest part".
Whether any of us are tired of the NDA excuse is irrelevant. What matters is why the NDA agreements have been signed.
