Makes one wonder if these people actually have a brain... that exceeds that of a house fly.
She wants to shoot off her mouth?
Yes. He impressed me. Was getting paid just to see me, now he won't. But he is an older man, has been Doc'ing for a lot of years, may be financially comfy. Still . . . rare.
Thanks Larry. I agree. Can't recall the last time a doctor said: "I won't need to see you any more!" My HMO was paying him, not me. But that's one appt I don't have to make or keep.
Thanks Arrow. I can tell a small difference and I LIKE IT.
I'm home from the doctor with a big smile. I was early, doc was on time! Took me in, looked me over. And said: "You did just what I told you to do, and it shows. You are better. Alright, I am not going to make a future appt for you. If you need one, call, otherwise now you know what to do. Do it. No pain. !!!!
It will be. He is not allowed to hit me, only to chat.
Mr. Tree, sir? I do move. But at my age I move so slowly that turtles get in the passing lane to get around me. I do plan to make this appt since it is all talk, no scalpels or other hard devices. I shall return. Slowly.
Larry? Yabbut
Yabbut
Yabbut . . . that is electronics and I don't do electronics.
That wouldn't surprise me, but this morn I slept until about 7AM. No big rush, it is just 8AM and my appt is 10:15. I think I can make it.
Morning Tree. I retired in the last century or the one before that, my memory isn't what it was. I need to set my alarm maybe three or four times a year for early doctor's appts. And it is two feet from my ears and I don't hear it. Too quiet, it doesn't want to wake the neighbors . . . nor me. I may have to buy an alarm that isn't a clock. Oh, well. . .
Good Morning all. My alarm cluck would not frighten Minnie Mouse away from the cheese. Doesn't waken me. I have to visit a new doc this morn. No needles, scalpels, no nothing but chat. I think I can do that.
Annie is totally appealing right down to lovely toes. And she truly can hammer that fiddle.
Sojung is not only totally gorgeous but she has a fine voice as well. Thanks for her once again.
Yeah? What about me?
Hose off, get it on the road. Later.
EZ, you are the best. Thank you.
As usual, did not sleep well. Monday, so I cannot have coffee or breakfast, until after I give blood. Much to do today so I won't be around for long. But I am fine.
so . . . when do the football games start?
I do hope to enjoy it. But it will be far more enjoyable if the Steelers win.
I was in the Army a few centuries ago when the base monthly pay was under $100 a month. Single, lived in the barracks, ate at the messy hall. Proud to have served, got my G I Bill when I got out and used it, lived in my parents basement, used it to go to college. Got my degree in three and a half years, went to work the following week and started paying taxes.
Things have changed. But I got to do what I planned to do, and glad I had served.
I had been warned there was a fork in the road, and it turned out to be true. The trouble was that I needed a spoon, not a fork.
YES STEELERS!!!!
Gray skies again, we get the remnants of whatever SoCal has. Rain predicted but hasn't started yet. We'll take it.
Thanks Marilyn. I'm okay, two football games to watch so I have to get some chores done before noon. Hate to see the football season coming to an end. But baseball will come along soon. Can't watch basketball. Oh, well . . .
Mornin Larry. Two games today for the big screen. I'll get both starting at noon.
Good morning Marilyn
EZ, I bought a 1964 and 1/2 baby blue Mustang coupe for my wife. One of the very first, April production, three speed stick shift and a 260 V8. She still had it when she asked me if I'd mind moving out to give her time to think . . . in 1993. As far as I know she is still thinking. But what she is thinking about no longer matters.
Ks, he is 86. Some old farts decide to retire be that age. I might.
Stock, you are absolutely right. I like it . . . except like the duck, I wish it wasn't happening. Dr. Sowell brought simple understandable truth to the Internet, giving some young minds a chance to read what he wanted them to know. He will be missed.
EZ
that's my motto
Keep my lip mostly shut
Stock, we have been blessed with some truly marvelous cartoonists, Ramirez is a great example. But for simply intelligent writing? Dr Thomas Sowell stands head and shoulders above the rest. He will be missed. He cannot be replaced.
Marilyn, we all should. Although it seems that Obama thinks he is GOD.
Saltyperson, I owe you. Much more than one. Thank you.
I'm not just a snob. Well, I am of course but . . . I am actually older than rock 'n roll. It came out, I looked at it, decided it wasn't for me. Stayed mostly classical. But thanks again. You do me well.
No.
But it might be honest.
Thank you Arrow. My only bro and my (deceased) Dad did the family genealogy back in the 1980's. One person out of the six thousand they listed lived past age 85. I'll be 84 this June. Hmmmmm
But still living alone, driving, shopping, feeding myself. We shall see.
Thank you Ks. I'll try. Had to make it to today, AND DID. You have set my next goal for me. I'll do it if I can.
Snoopy has to dance for me, knees wouldn't allow it. But I'm dancing inside, smiling outside. The Donald might be a disappointment in time, we'll wait and see. But at least
HILLARY DIDN'T GET IN.
Far better than the others.
