These small purchases at these low prices is an insult unless they know it is going down a lot further. This POS is starting to piss me off. So much for not letting my emotions get the best of me. Numbers should be out next week. Hang on to your hats. Once again I can't wait to listen to the CC for all of the excuses they will offer for poor numbers, etc etc etc.
There doesn't seem to be so much enthusiasm on this board now !! Stockhouse is even worse.
I have said it in the past...sometimes it doesnt matter how much DD you do, sometimes you just have to bend over.
BRUTAL
As mentioned the POG has absolutely no influence on the SP ITSELF. It assists our bottom line, thats it, thats all, there is no more. Obviously with gold at higher prices it assists our bottom line and thats what we are concerned about. However, if we don't meet projections as we have spoken about in the past (to death) then we fail.
So, from I understand, the forth mill will now be delayed because of the deal the other day ? If this is true shouldn't they be altering their projections yet again or am I out to lunch. And further, how much more tim will be required to get her up and running????
Just remember, anything under a dollar is a gift...HA ! I wonder how the PP holders butts are feeling right about now. Mine isn't feeling that great. Generally, I liked to get kissed first !
It just keeps getting better and better......brutal
So in other words things are just "on hold" in regards to this issue at best for the time being. Does that now mean that they will bring the "new mining law" that has nothing to do with us back onto the table to be dealt with ? I can't wait for the protests about that !
Yes MJ I am shooting from the hip so to speak. And no I have not heard about the Q3 numbers, but by all accounts I am going to take a stab in the dark saying that they will NOT meet their own projections, estimates or would ever you would like to call it. Everyone knows that they are Not fully operational and I get that....everyone does. It is the point that dates, estimates, projections keep getting bumped further and further ahead.
And please, enough of the cloak and dagger.....what are the numbers that you have heard. I will not any offense if they are not 100 percent accurate, I'm just curious.
And you are right , not to many people are very happy but that is because they are not seeing a return on their investment. And please with all due respect don't tell me about DCA or getting in when it was .25. Sme people bought a lot higher thinking it was going higher after completing thorough DD. JMHO
Have a good day
So much for zacks' projections !
This issue is never ending. Does it / will it ever end ? MJ.....what will happen next as they will never be on the same page with each other. Enough of these barbaric tactics and put thing thing to bed. The unfortunate thing is that even when this is finally dealt with, the Indians will continue to create chaos just to prove a point.
Oh look, the indians are participating in a hunger strike now. Well at least that doesn't effect the economy !!!!!!!
In regards to PDI...I know we all want the free shares but at what cost. Some have mentioned that PTQ will be put on the sidelines after this spin out if and when it actually occurs. Will PTQ's SP take a hit??????? How long will it stay down and as a consequence how long will it take to bounce back????
Gabbs I can't remember are you still invested in PTQ ?? And some people will say "it's sooooo low, you should be buying" !!!!!! I always get a chuckle on that comment.
From one CANUCK to another, Im going to be honest about this spinout. I HAVE NO FRIGGIN IDEA. As previously mentioned I have never been apart of a spinout . Call it lucky or unlucky . From what I can gather PDI appears that with all of the contracts under her belt at this point will do well. Not to mention when INMET gets fired up. I have reviewed MJs comments about "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts" and still I don't know.
For some time know everyone on this board has been salivating about their "FREE" shares and some believe that PDI will surpass PTQ in the long run. I personally hope that both Company's do very well but I can't wait forever.
I wish I could blow smoke up your ass to pump either PTQ or PDI but at this specific juncture I cannot.
I will have to disagree with the latter part of your statement. We might not be hanging around because we think good things will happen as compared to some people may not want to take a loss at this point. If you don't leave while you are under you haven't lost as of yet.(we all know that)
Lets review the SP compared to one year ago. I believe in APRIL of 2011 the SP was somewhere around $1.05(ish)...TODAY, well you get the picture. Since last APRIL we have constantly gone down NEVER EVER to re visit the $1.00 mark again. If that is not called dead money I don't know what is. Look at the chart, it doesn't lie and it doesn't make excuses.
You can't pull a heavy on people who don't think good things are not happening with their investment.
Red.....I don't know how long you have been invested in this company but I have been here since they were given approval to mine. There are others that have been here since the Adrian days which if you dont know was some time ago. Anyhow my point is as follows...we all have hopes based on our own DD that PTQ will do well and you have stated that you believe that the current sp will triple in six months. Maybe yes, maybe no but my experience with PTQ and this board seems to be this......wait for the next quarter....wait for the next quarter....wait for the next quarter. How long does one wait......thats up to the individual. I don't know why we banter back and forth about issues. We should come back say in 9-12 months and reassess production. If the numbers don't support a significant increase then it's time for investors to move on. JMHO
I truly hope that you are joking because as Jal stated if we do not meet our REDUCED PROJECTIONS it would mean that we are stagnant just like the SP. That will just mean more excuses from FIFER during the next CC as to what set of events did not transpire to bump us up to the projections. Personally, I will be disappointed if they are lower than expected, but that's just me. I realize a quarter or two does not make a company but come on already.
Help me out MJ...are you now in favour of PDI or were you being facetious last time the PDI issue was brought up. If I remember correctly you were voting NO along with your friends in Panama ??????????????
I realize that you were just high-lighting the CC but where do you stand today ??
That is EXACTLY what I said would happen...what a surprise. This is comparable to the longest game of tennis I have ever witnessed, and I hate tennis. It is quite evident that the Indians are controlling these talks...or there lack of. BRUTAL
Well Feb 27 is upon us and do you know what that means.......absolutely nothing. Let me explain. The Gov't is going to be back at it with the Indians and the environmentalists for more talks about what to do and what not to do. So they will talk..and talk...and talk...and talk. Then the tactics with the Indians will continue in regards to blocking the the highways, destroying property and disrupting the economy of Panama just to get their points across yet again. Meanwhile all of this talking will accomplish nothing. Thus at the end of the tomorrow these talks will most likely be bumped to another day to continue, therefore no decisions/agreements will be reached
I realize that MARTINELLI does not want to jam this down their throats like he did before but come on already...take a stance and act upon it. "Go hard or go home" All of this talking is making me sleepy.
That is the other issue I can't rap my head around. Why would you purchase shares at $1.00 if in fact they were advised of all the numbers that were going to come out in the near future after the purchase of said shares. They had to have some idea that projections were not going to be met if in fact they did their DD properly...one would think. Maybe Im out to lunch.
Maybe they are aware that the company will flourish in the distant future...BUT WHY invest back when they did at the price they did to have their legs taken out from underneath them. ? I know nobody can predict what will happen in the market but after they looked into PTQ and spoke to the "right" people you would think / like to believe that their money would not have evaporated so quickly to date.
MJ...with all due respect, that was Jals opinion and we are all entitled to our opinions....within reason of course.
If....and I say if those projections are not met that will hurt us big time! People will say WTF ! Short term, long term, if numbers are not achieved quarterly no one will be happy. I am truly hoping to surpass our projections and move forward already.
WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE A DECISION FOR GODS SAKE AND THEN MOVE ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!l

The Government now proposes that section five of Bill No. 415-that generated the debate, beginning as follows: cancel all concessions granted to individuals or foreign or domestic corporations for the exploitation and exploration of resources minerals and the development of hydroelectric projects in the region Ngäbe Bugle and annexed areas.
The proposed text also includes that: the people Ngäbe Bugle participate in conjunction with the competent authorities in the process for the preparation of management plans of the basin located within the region, surrounding areas. And so will the approval of future hydroelectric projects and other alternative energies within the district and adjoining areas, in accordance with international conventions on the rights of indigenous peoples signed and ratified by the Republic of Panama.
CLAY WHITE POINT OF DISCORD
This Thursday the talks stalled in the case of the only concession that, to date, has granted the Government and which corresponds to Barro Blanco project.
According to the Indian leadership this award is within the annexed areas of the region. However, Government Minister, Jorge Ricardo Fabrega said that this concession is outside the local area.

The Stars (PA) Capital: Panama Approves Mining Study
PANAMA .. Minera Panama, SA reported that the Impact Study

He warned that vigilantes will be kept of the chemicals that the company

Red, so you are of the opinion that the projected SP by the analysts will take two years to accomplish ??? I was of the opinion it was a 6-12 month time frame. Two years at $1.70 is crazy. We should be a lot higher than that more so when we enter the mid tier category.
Are you talking about our own projections or the analysts.?
I think it is safe to say that the majority (maybe I am wrong) of people on this board are becoming frustrated with perhaps not with the fundamentals, but obviously with the SP. I know I am ! The part that really sucks is that no one has a solid explanation for it. Whenever Martinelli decides to deal with this never ending debacle in regards to the mining law can't come soon enough considering the amount of time that had been wasted thus far. Get it back in front of the Assembly and put this thing to rest already.
Comparing this junior to other juniors dumfounds me.....It just doesn't make sense.
If our next few quarters are strong and we continue to flounder then there is more than meets the eye that other people are aware of / afraid of that we don't know. Sometimes all the DD in the world just doesn't pan out well.
Too many questions and not enough answers.
Jal, sometimes people say stuff that other people won't say but are constantly thinking about ! You are not the only one.
MJ, based on the political turmoil going on in the country right now due to the anti mining demonstrations/upheaval , what happens next in regards to the law itself.? Will it ever be dealt with because you know these demonstrations will never stop. Now I see that there are supporters from the bananna industry who are striking in support of the Indians.
Can someone refresh my memory.....heap leaching was supposed to reach maximum capacity as of the end of January ??? I thought Fifer mentioned this during the last PR. Maybe I am incorrect.
Let's talk about what we are all thinking.....are we going to have enough fuel to keep on track? I think it was Octavio that stated we have two weeks worth of diesel. If this debacle persists the remaining days will go by very quickly and then we are dry. Then we will be FUBAR
That leads me to my next point....when and if the fuel runs out how will this impact us financially at the end of the day or should I say for the quarter.
You can't tell me that based on history when this law was going to be dealt with that the Indians weren't going to take a stance..I think we all saw this coming solely based on the Indians actions last time ! Why is it that there are no contingency plans thought out prior to deal with these types of situations briskly and effectively?
Well so much for the mining law being dealt with in an expedited manner MJ. They sure as shit are not going to push this down their throats while this crap is going on. The question is, will it ever stop...the rioting that is? I like to read la presna for updated info and this incident is front and center, over and over again but there is no mention about what the Gov't has up their sleeves nor when the Mining law will be spoken too.
How do these people get away with this type of behavior for this long ?
You can't tell me that dear old Fifer hasn't contacted all of his friends who hold political power, namely the President to express his dislike over the current debacle. They all have their hands in this honey pot and it is in everyone's best interest including ours to have this dealt with ASAP. If the Pres sits on his hands and does not act it will show that he is weak. This truly is a f'n gong show.
Wow , a whopping 37 000 shares traded.thus far on the TSX.......this thing is on fire ! No further inside purchases either according to Canadian insider since late December.
MJ...how much longer in your opinion is the Gov't going to stand by and let these people disrupt other people's lives as well as put a stand still to the economy. This type of behavior is utterly unacceptable considering your country went through this crap last time. Enough is enough already.
Gold is also on the rise.....now only if it had any bearing on the current SP for which we know it does not.
Now I'm thoroughly confused. I thought this was the be all to end all that we were all waiting for. And now second thoughts . WTF. Can we ever have a good day around here?
The mining law will soon be dealt with once and for all. Now only if it had any influence on the sp which it will not. I must say that gold has rebounded very nicely in the past couple of days with a significant gain yesterday and is continuing to make modest gains as I post this morning. Once again....no bearing on the sp of a producing gold mine but will definitely help our bottom line if she can stay the course and by all accounts, the price of gold will only go up, considering current/future world economic factors.
Ok so both you and MJ believe that this stock will "not move significantly" for one to two years. What does significant mean to you guys anyhow, since this word is being thrown around. Mj, I think you have mentioned around $7.00 ish....is that the significant number you are referring to? Just curious because the analysts have almost tripled the current sp level in their short term outlook. And in all honesty I personally would be content with their numbers by the end of 2012.
A little surprised to say the least Jal. I too agree with your thoughts about how PDI will be priced at first, but then through time accompanied with juicy contracts our wings will open. Now back to PTQ..... WTF ......we have gone to the conferences.....we have been picked up by two separate analysts who offer a decent outlook and put us in the BUY category .......things are happening in panama to our benefit (inmet / mining law etc )we are profitable.......we are OUT THERE yet no one is jumping on it. Here is my concern, if we continue to do well quarter by quarter and thre is still no influx of new blood then we are going t be in trouble. Jal I know you say that you are waiting for money to come back into this sector and I hope you are right. JMHO.
I don't mean to be ignorant in regards to the coverage we are now getting but how often do companies actually hit the expected SP that the analysts are advising on. Putting the SP target aside I realize this puts our name out there for all to see and ponder which is great !
Good afternoon Jeff,
My name is Joann Head and I work in investor relations for Petaquilla.
In response to your questions, the company is currently in the process of completing the annual review of resources. We are planning to release the updated 43-101 report in April, which will incorporate the results of exploration done in Panama over the last year. Exploration work done by the company is an ongoing effort and we do not have specific stages outlined between annual updates. If there is a material discovery, the company must press-release it in compliance with TSX rules; otherwise, the results are incorporated in the annual reserves and resources review.
I hope this is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Joann Head

Hey mj....didn't you notice that they didn't say ......."we are pleased to announce" in the latest PR.....this is the second time in a row ! LOL
One year ago tomorrow we were at $1.24. I guess I will never understand the market !
Thanks Loj
