FAS: Flat about 1425 (NYT).
The FOMC report is coming up in 15 min or so. More market volatility may follow, including a whip.
If there is an apparent reversal from the current Down trend, my model will probably go from Down to Flat, until it gathers more data on the direction.
If one consistently does the opposite of what he recommends does one win?
Has anyone done an accuracy analysis of his short term prophesies? Does he do any better than a coin flip
Does Robert Prechter make shorter term prophecies, e.g., minutes, days, etc.?
FAS: Continues Down. Off its lows for the day but no signs of a turn.

"Only GOD knows the future."
And based on the world as we find it, She's not tending house, but must be away visiting some alternative Universe or something.
. . .who knows, maybe making Universe 2.0.
Don't know. We'll know sometime in the days ahead.
The clarity of the HURST chart might improve if the lines were thinner. Can that be tried?
Presently, although readable, it's busy with color and thick lines. So it seems to me and my eyes.
FAS: Continues Down trend from yesterday. It looked like a rally might erupt there for awhile. Didn't happen.
Still possible today, since the future is unknown to all.
. . .and there's time.
Yes. That's got to be one of the great business plans of all time.
It will be core material for discussion and analysis in B schools for at least 100 years!
Do you suppose AAPL will hardware update the iPad once per year or more often, e.g., 2x per year?
They probably have the next gen ready to go and will go with it when sales of the present one taper or serious competition appears. There's nothing like either of those likely in the near future.
What must serious competition offer to challenge the iPad? It seems it must be some doable combination of:
1) price
2) weight
3) speed
4) battery life
5) display characteristics, 3D, etc.
6) apps, including a store or the equiv., and/or
7) some wonderful, unique killer App that comes out of the blue.
Here's a revealing comment re: iPad sales from the recent article:
"By PuckPuck Tue Jun 22 09:27:25 PDT 2010
It IS magical. quite a few of my neighbors agreed to give me their WiFi passwords, so when I go over I would bring my iPad and let them play with it.
My son won't put it down, my wife is using it, I want to use it, the neighbors want to use it... I think I might be buying another one."
Yes. Your MACD is certainly worth watching.
So, does it look like MACD comes the closest thus far?
What's not to like?
Apple sells 3 million iPads in 80 days:
http://www.macworld.com/article/152201/2010/06/ipad_3m.html?lsrc=rss_main
That must be a record for a new device, say, a computer.
Interesting. Can you overlay MACD to see how they compare?

FAS: Down about 1245 (NYT).
I've exited FAS here at 24.94 and will not renter until the next regular hours signal.
Futures look too unstable to me.
Flat.
FAS Up, Premarket, 24.80.
FAS Up in premarket.
Drawing price trend lines on live, real time, intraday charts is a lot trickier than drawing on charts after the fact, at the end of the day. The task can be made somewhat easier if the lines are guided, in part, by one or more other indicators, e.g., a moving average, an oscillator, etc.
. . .or so it seems. I'll know more after more practice.
ESU0 has retreated some to about 1120 from a high of 1127.
Acronis Drive Monitor states my computer's hard disk has a bad block:
"The device, \Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block."
The computer is four years old, used every day, defragged, backed-up once per day.
Is there a fix for this that does not involve replacing the disk?
How concerned should I be?
What do you recommend?
ESU0 (S&P 500) futures have gapped up. Now 1126. Bullish move.
An easy addition for this chart is drawing simple support and resistance lines to reveal market turns via higher highs and higher lows or the reverse.
Is one set of higher highs and higher lows sufficient to show a turn or does one need two or even three sets?
How about the time frame? Maybe another time frame chart is better for depicting market turns.
What might that be?
Try it and see if it fits the data.
My impression is long term, over many 30 min chart sessions, PSAR will be more productive and useful than MACD (65,130,1).
Wells Wilder was a sharpie.
Provisionally, "yes" to all questions.
Try this in real time with a live chart.
If there is ambiguity, it's better to go slow and not trade, than to do something rash and end up in trouble or on the wrong side of the market.
Can your chart system draw automatic trend lines?
Can a basic chart like the the following produce formal rules for making profitable trades?
Two components:
1) Parabolic SAR, and
2) Hand drawn rising / falling price trend lines.

Very nice chart and trades!
How does that MACD perform (guide trades) earlier this year, prior to May and June?
