Well, in my small little alcove of Malibu were bidding up homes on the first week of hitting the market on $3 mil to $5 mil homes, I know cause I was there bidding too and got out bid each time. And this was face to face bidding. It is like chasing stocks, there is no value in it. Nobody was buying $1.5 million homes in Malibu at the time. So we sat pat. People buying these homes at the time could afford $18,000 to $25,000 mortgages and didn't care about interest rates. I was told by my realtor that credit is king. I told her, I have cash. She said they don't care. So in one way, they wanted to make the vig with the interest rate spread.
That's alright, an $18,000 mortgage was a tough pill to swallow for me.
Poor people will handle products and foods either via drones or delivery services to deliver to well-off people, I don't think FedEx trucks nor Amazon Prime have sinks with soap and water in their vehicles. I see Instacart people at Whole Foods all the time putting their hands all over the food, shopping for the Well-Off.
The problem was, they started the project on the first day of school in September and took down the bridge and made a makeshift bridge, only one lane. And I don't mean one lane each way, just one lane. When the fire came in November, it was in Santa Ana winds, which were hurricane winds. While the deputy sheriffs were evacuating the area, every fire truck from all of LA and Ventura Counties were lined up for six hours on PCH because there was a makeshift one lane bridge. There are multiple fire houses in Malibu and could have prevented it. But some @#$@ head 500 miles away pulled this stunt during fire season? This route was the ONLY way in and out as it is a dead end canyon. FEMA also denied our request, told us to go to insurance, which denied us in certain cases too. All because I left the windows open while out of town. GRRR
LOL, 60 year old trout cannot be very good. Hopefully they took a quick trophy pick and did catch and release.
The ranch has many stuffed animals, but it is not my ranch. I only have one European mount in my home on the wall, which means it is not stuffed. It is my daughter's first kill. She cannot have it at the dorm. Soon as she gets her own apartment, she can have it back.
I agree, most people in the US have to adhere to policy. Dear spouse is fortunate and is flexible, travel during audit and tax season is extremely limited, but from April to New Years usually takes about 6 to 7 weeks off. But spouse works 16 hour days seven days a week between January 2 to April 30, so spouse takes advantage the rest of the year.
$178 in total assets? $755,000 in shareholder deficit? $0.00 Revenue?
And they are requesting to remove "Shell Status"?
Nothing is right about it.
According to Forbes, 78% American workers live paycheck to paycheck. That is a lot of electricity, tvs, and internet shut off in a month. Try not taking a shower or brushing teeth. Cars get repo'd.
As I said yesterday, dear spouse has clients on both sides of the ponds. And never even met them. Citrix, email, cell phones, drop box works just fine.
I don't disagree, dear spouse has a consulate in the building and gawd knows there they have been around the world. Emailed spouse the articles about JPM and suggest the matter to the BoD for the next few weeks. Spouse said suggesting three days a week at the office. With Citrix, iCloud, Dropbox and iPhone, colleagues in Kiwi Land, Aussie Land, Viking Land and down the road are easy to collaborate with, no need for planes, trains, or offices.
Although, I just went to the bank and took out cash, came home with $100 bill short, and didn't go anywhere else. So maybe I got Corona and dropped a $100 bill. I guess someone got lucky.
I watched my and my friends and neighbors homes burned down from the ranch in TX.
This is a gawd....feeling....
https://deadline.com/2007/11/another-malibu-fire-35-homes-burn-4079/
And they got it wrong it was not 35 homes it was 53.
And this was all 'cause some 'crat in Sacramento who decided to fund and start a "trout ladder" so the trout can swim up Solstice Cyn with the help of ladders during fire season on a two lane road in a one way canyon. They took down our bridge and made a make shift one lane, cause some stupid 'crat from 500 miles away never been to Malibu making decisions.
Welp, just like Don Freddy is no longer an Attorney, and erix cannot use the suffix "esq", Blanton is no longer a CPA with any state in the USA, including the State Board of Public Accountancy. He is expired because he did not do his CPE and pay his dues. Time to call the state of AR and the SEC and turn them both in, you cannot use CPA if you are not a CPA.
TYPICAL erix and key words to sell stock.
There is another bounced check and/or CC declined and subsequent lawsuit.
LOL, yep. One five pound trout can feed spouse and I with leftovers.
JPM telling employees to work from home. I usually pay for exit row, I usually put spouse in First or Biz, but we will not fly in row 34 any further with snot nosed kids.
Read my response to Porgie, I would like your opinion too.
After this dead cat bounce, do you like DAL over UAL? Dear daughter owns UAL. She has stacked her classes on Tues/Wed/Thurs and I always run her trades through her, and she doesn't answer the phone mid week. And where she lives DAL does not fly into there much, she likes to fly outta MRY vs. SJC.
It is always "Next Week" with these penny peddlers.
I like trout, EVOO and herbs on the grill. But that is just too big. That will feed an army.
Yah, it is a good racket. Dear spouse gets emails daily with the are you interested and if not do you have any colleagues you can suggest. I know how much dear spouses recruiter got paid and it is up there, nearly six figures, I have no idea what they got for working the $5 billion M&A, but prolly pushes the # up to about the six figure. I met one of the staff member at the office, she could be my daughter. Chit, I got in the wrong biz, LOL. Shoots, if I can place four C-Suites per year and get a 40% commission, that's not a bad livin'
But they do know their client, what they are looking for in a C-Suite Officer, so they do tweak the resume for each client and groom the interview. Many large corps. looking for a C-Suite wants the recruiter to pre-screen and bring in only 3-5 interviews. The BoD does not have time to interview 100 people. So it is a trust relationship. It is called human capital for a reason.
I hate Target with a passion. But dear daughter bot TGT in her trust against my wishes. As a college student, she said all her friends shop at TGT and none ever go to WMT, so I let her run with it. It is like like the Peter Lynch from Fidelity style.
LOL, there is no such thing as California Champagne. It is called "Sparkling". Champagne is from the Region of Champagne, France only. These producers are crazy.
Just like Brie cheese is only from the Region of Brie France, every Brie "style" outside of Brie is supposed to be referred to as "Fromage". California has quite a few creameries, I don't know what the state legislation is, but they cannot call a local cheese "Brie", just as much a California Sparkler cannot be called Champagne, by law.
Ya know I am a food snob, and I will say, 'dem olives in Spain and Italy blow away olives one gets in the US, they don't even taste the same.
All my old haunts are gone, but you can pop into many spots in Manhattan. Wegmans in Central NJ is a good spot to shop. WTC, you can do wine tasting, I miss Zeytuna in FIDI. That was my go to gourmet shop. Like you, Brooklyn in Park Slope has some great specialty stores. I just don't know the names, I just walk by them.
Yah, but the second you cross the border from VA to MD, you don't have to go to the ABC store anymore, the first gas station in MD will sell you some brand of 151 Rum, and even Everclear while you are filling your tank.
LOLOLOLOL, I didn't even think about that. Good going, spot on.
I get them from him via PM quite often. Outside the handful of us on this thread I don't read PMs, right now I have 2232 unread PMs from over the years. I have already told him i do not nor will read his PMs and if cannot take it on a public thread, then it is not worth the debate, but he is relentless.
That is true. Companies will pay anywhere from $40,000 to $100K just to place a CFO, and they want them to last awhile. That is not salary, that is placement fee.
I wish I got grandfather's 1911 from WWII, but someone else did. I got the Rolex instead. It is in the gun safe and I cannot wear it until the trustee, well you know what I mean. Dear sister who is 15 years my younger got a gold diamond stud Rolex and is wearing it for years. Other younger sis has diamond studs, brother much much younger has a restored 1969 Pontiac GTO, we got nothing, our kids got it all. Dad got multiple boats and C-182 a house, blah blah blah. They just think we are rich and can take care of ourselves, not right. Whatever....Family....grrr
Just don't take your primers through security. If it were not for the fact that a family member was the pilot, it could have been ugly. Lock everything in sep. cases and declare them.
I am so in tears. Dear spouse has been so polite. I have to take nearly $8000 today to replace spouse's headlamp assemblies today with a bit of paint touch up. Not going through insurance, cash from the gun safe. Spouses BoD does not want to hear about this.
Welp, we have a date for lunch today at a Brazilian restaurant. Glad I am not in the dog house. Hopefully they the play "The Girl from Ipanema"
I screwed up, some arse cut me off. My first incident. Spouse not happy in the company car, especially in the Co. car. Head down low.
Gilead, Migal, Santa Fe, Moderna are into or entering clinical trials.
FAGI has zero cash and cannot even think about clinical trials. Just a stock printing and selling machine
FAGI cannot even pay their cell phone bill.
The ads have basically rendered this website useless.
Eric is the dumbest m fer of all time. He knows his codes have to be renewed every year. And has no biz uploading an 8K. This person is demented. He also was told by the SEC, he cannot file an 8K even if he had current codes, because he has abused the Edgar system.
I keep telling people, there is a reason why Hawaii is green. If anyone has been to Kona, prolly met my ma, and if anyone flew on Hawaiian Air, dear uncle could have been the pilot. Dear uncle flies on the east coast now, fish out of water. Fist time took dear spouse to Hawaii, Big Isle, we had a full view of ocean, golf course and mountain. Came in at night, Opened the blinds, told spouse to look left at the blue ocean, then said look straight, nice golf course view, the said look right and said "what is that white stuff on the 13,000 foot peak....jaws dropped...snow.
HI is a different story.
I don't disagree. I wash hands all day everyday.
Decent resume, why is there not a recruiter contacting him to sell him for a real job and not a $0.0001 stock with only $1488 in revenue, not revenues since he is the audit committee. I know what recruiters charge just for a placement fee for a C-Suite, dear spouse's placement fee was much higher than that of the average family of four and keeps getting job offers. But spouse does not want to move, I do. But I am not buying his story, embellishment to some degree.
Outside of the NYSE, which is on Broad, and the Fed, Wall St. is littered with gyms, clothing stores and numerous single family rentals including one Wework at 110 Wall with floors of 25 year olds, fat and with beards dringin' beer all day long. Don't worry, been there, did not Google it. Each floor has a different keg. It is not the Wall St. you think of. I lived three blocks from the NYSE for 11 years and worked at 80 Broad on the 35 and 36 floor.. But teach me a lesson.
Welp, spouse and I looked at the bridge in Kingston. NY, after our Faberge were stolen and we did not insure them yet. We had Vera as well as others....
....but life comes back, just we have to deal with it. I get to enjoy the Rembrant, Picasso, and a Dali for a year while daughter is still in the dorm.
I will need to visit her in SFO a few wall showings before she leaves.
Yep, I agree
I cannot buy masks anywhere, but Doc says will provide a couple. Beer will do the trick I guess. Stay safe my friend.
Nobody wants to hold concentrated positions over the weekend. I spoke to dear spouse and daughter, "I don't know whether to buy leap puts or buy stocks" But I did call dear spouse to start looking into calling aunties, uncles and grandmas who are desperate to sell mineral rights at $44 oil and sit on them and nudge your team, which I think they already know that. But the guys need to stop playing golf in Palm Springs and do some financial planing This is a new market place now.
No need for that, and don't even think about it. I was not living in NYC at the time but on the left coast, and saw people on TV jumping out of the WTC Towers in '87. Trust me, it is not worth it, if one is smart enough to do it once, one can do it again. Ive been through '87, 2000, 2008. The 1973 oil did not effect me as to where I lived and I lived on a beach and could not drive anyway.
