Starzan...the NUMBER of shares wouldn't matter....only the value of each of your shares. Granted, with the increase in O/S expected, the PPS will likely be lower than it is now. But based on the current (P/E) ratio staying where it is (and I'm not saying it will), there would have to be 4x the shares for them to dilute it to breakeven ( based on a .001 buy into JPHC).
Moby...vol indicates interest....if we were allowed to trade right away, the vol would increase dramatically as everyone would be in a rush to sell and take their gains....and the price would obviously fall.
Could be that the co will restrict these shares to prevent just that, as they probably would like "investors" as opposed to traders....which is mostly what JPHC has. I'm not saying this will happen, but what if...in a year ( or whenever the restrictions are removed, APOA is actually higher than it is right now? You would be making more than selling JPHC right now at .005 if that happened. ( it's not likely, though, just a scenario to consider)
But what if APOA is worth half what it is now?...You would still have an equivilant price of .0025...still a double for you.
These are just things to think about, I'm nor advocating either to sell, hold, or buy...just talking.
Another Question: IF one was planning to hold through this orderal, does it even matter what JPHC share price does between now and the "merger"?
The buyout price is adjustable based on the ave price of the acquiring Co to equal .005/share for JPHC shares payable in however many new shares it takes to equal that figure, but is not based on any price JPHC may go to from now on.
If APOA averages to .02, we get 1 share for each 4 of JPHC.
If APOA averages to .01, we get 1 share for each 2 of JPHC.
If APOA averages to .005, we get 1 share for each 1 of JPHC.
Etc, etc.
So, unless you want to sell ( or buy), JPHC price has no bearing on the value of your new shares. The next year for APOA will tell the tale for how much the deal is really worth.
Example, if you bought JPHC at .001, APOA would have to fall 75% from it's current value (.02) before you would lose money.
I realize a lot can happen in a year, this is just an example, to put into perspective a different way of looking at this deal.
By the way, I see a different group of posters here now....what happened to the one's who swore JPHC would go to .005, .01, .02 etc? Bigdogs, ...I can't remember the other names...but no sign of them since the announcement.
thought you were on the raod today...heh heh!
Couldn't stay away, huh?
I'm thinking any PR might come after close.....JMHO
I filled at .001 in only about 2-3 min...
only 500k shares, though.
Ameritrade
Just me averaging down a little guys!
LMAO!
Any time...now let's go play golf!
Call me "pull hook" LOL!
It's within Ameritrade's website ...visit the "tax center" link from the menu under "account" in the dark blue bar near the yop of the page... ...on that page you'll see a link under "schedule D" that says "gain/loss tracking tool.
Hmmmm I just clicked on it and it shows me current year...and I haven't subscribed for this year yet....hmmmm
Well, I never heard anything about a limit. They report everything I buy and sell throughout the entire year. Last year I'd estimate I had about 400+ transactions.....
I use Gainskeeper, through Ameritrade.
Subscription is about...uhhh...$39 per year, I think? It downloads to a file, or if you do taxes online, downloads directly into your return.
Legally, they are not supposed to be, due to the "full disclosure" law passed recently. That being said....they probably are anyway. Stock market is very biased and crooked, despite any laws......
Bigdogs....why is everyone saying the evaluation was .004? We don't know what it really was....just that the Co said they expected it to be no less than .004. If it happens to be .005 or .007 (or more), then everyone's base for where they think it will go would have to be re-evaluated higher, no?
By the way...my total is now 3.p mm shares....if you're still keeping up with it.
Thanks,
No leaks on that so far, but, ....who cares?
If we make money, I don't care who it is...LOL!
Yeah...it was only another $160 worth...but if I can 3x or 5x that...why not? LOL!
ced70.....I said I wouldn't, but......
I bought 500k more today as soon as the news came out...at .0008
Sure it does! If news happens, or anything to make people start buying the stock, of course the shorts will want to come out ( or they lose money as the price goes up). So the covering simply adds fuel to the fire as a short cover is simply a buy ( same as a regular long buy). Imagine a large volume day of upward movement, people, institutiions wanting in, then add on several million (legally shorted shares)of buying on top of that for short covering. Not to mention the naked shorts covering also, and I'm not sure if that number can be determined.
That's why we get such an explosion when there is really good news out.
It's no problem at all. Just sharing what little knowledge I have, that's all.
I was just trying to explain that comment " I thought naked shorts didn't have to cover" from Design.
Design.....naked shorts will cover just like legal shorts....if they didn't, how would they ever make any money?
Naked just means they were allowed to short shares without the true shares being available to short.....thus illegal.
Mighty quiet here today....what happend to all that enthusiasm?
Yes, I've been following it for about a year now. I'm aware of all that's going on, all the news and pps projections, etc. Just haven't posted much here. That .004 value isn't official yet, but I'm hoping the real number comes in even higher.....
I'm not saying I'm selling when I break even, just stating that's my break number.
I'm hanging. Still need a double from here to break even, that's how bad it was....including averaging down a few times!
No thanks, LOL! The only reason I'm here now in this one was a green mistake from a looooong time ago! Decided I'd just hold till I break even, or until it was worthless, whichever came first. Looks like I may get lucky this time, but in general, I don't play pinks at all any more.
Not for me because I can't always watch, etc....
Social...I think Ced mean that it was not his intention to manupulate the stock downward....that he was just reporting what he knew,
That's how I see it also.....
23 min without a single trade?
stopped on a 4000 share trade at .0007...what kind of trick is this?
hahaha....and the one's that bought more
(like me) feel lucky!
Take everything you hear with a grain of salt, including how high everyone says this will go.
bid/ask back to .0008 x .0009 now
panick is over
Yes, unless they change 70 years of tradition, they will halt the trading and report a few minutes after 4pm eastern.
Phisherman.....can't reply in private cuz I'm a free member...
no I haven't met him. I'm just speaking from over 2 years of observation.
Pinks are what they are....pink turds- all of them. Money can be made, but it almost never has to do with a "good company" or any business reasons.......
He's not a P&D artist.....he's telling you what the news is before it's officially out. I haven't seen him call it wrong yet. He doesn't control what the news is, though.
He's been around a long time....me too.
BigDog........added 500k
at .0007
IBM at noon? I never saw them report before 4pm eastern.....are you sure?
I saw the .0009....5k shares?
some kind of mm trick, I guess. That's $4.50 worth not counting any trade fees....
Woof Woof...pant pant.....
LOL!
Excuse me! meant .0075
If your personal tax rate is 15% or less then it doesn't matter, long or short term.... But you will still pay the tax at whatever your personal tax rate is......Uncle Sam will get his.....
Yes he was wrong. Hold for at least a year and you pay "long term capital gains" as opposed to "short term capital gains"...a lower tax rate depending on your personal situation, financially.
I'd rather make some money and pay short term gains than wait and pay long term gains on much less profit...or worse...have all the gains disappear.
How long did it take for the rebuttal last time? Anyone?
You would be assured of not losing anything....but it would make a difference depending on when you sold those - if you want to make any money.. These pinkies don't stay up....they pop and they drop...till the next time.
Sad but true.....but money can be made for those who know how to play them.
Good luck with your plan, though....I'd rather make bucks, sell too early......and whine about it later if it keeps going! LOL!
Really? So at what point would you consider selling that half?
