Roger that!!! Ground Control, are we ready for takeoff @ 12:00.
NP. Thanks for the info, Grey.
Got link?
and call it the Lehman estate... sounds good.
Holy Crap. I have my decryption glasses on it looks like it says GO WAMU!!!
I can't tell if it's a buy or a sell.
I respect your opinion and thanks. I see it with pump and dumps all the time... but I don't consider Wamu as a pump and dump. I don't think anyone knows what is going to happen at this moment including the Judge as she has not does not have all of the information in front of her yet. I still look at this as speculative play... it can have several different outcomes.
I just hope everyone is able to make money on this investment and compensate those who lost everything. That's truly all I want in this.
Guys, we should direct all these negative comments to the people who are responsible for this tragic event... (e.g. FDIC, OTS, Blair, Paulson, SEC, JPM, Bush, etc. They are the ones who are guilty, not Jackson. There is no reason why he can't play this stock as he sees fit and post whatever he feels at the moment. That is the beauty of leaving in America... freedom of speech.
It's up to you to disagree with him or not. Do you really think people run out and buy or sell stock based on one person's opinion.
I don't trust anyone with my money, but me. However I do read this board and I take the good and leave the bad information.
and that is fine with me. We all have our own ways of trading, but I think we are all on the same team trying the achieve the same goal;make money.
Aren't you doing the same thing right now? It sure sounds like it.
Lets stick with the topic of Wamu and stop bashing people.
Don't have to. I have been here since the announcement of the BK and Jackson has always provided links to court documents that support whatever he says... I can't say the same for you. Give me some links that support your agenda and maybe I will listen to you too.
Jackson, Good sign. The bashers appear to be on the board tonight. Best of luck to all of us.
Go WAMU!!!
Hi Lifegear, I don't have any experience with dividends. Can you tell me if the dividends will be paid to the holder from the time the company filed BK or does it start from the day of purchase of the stock. I assume it will be the latter of the two. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance.

I would bet my left nut those are not all sells
Thanks for that. Exacta is horse track betting terminology :) I was just implying that Wamu and Lehman are great investments.
JPMorgan Cries Foul At WaMu's Examination Bid
Law360, New York (May 14, 2009) -- JPMorgan Chase & Co. has objected to a request by Washington Mutual Inc. to examine whether JPMorgan sabotaged WaMu before its bankruptcy in order to buy its banking assets cheaply, arguing that WaMu must seek the information it wants in already pending litigation.
In its objection, filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, JPMorgan said that WaMu can't use Rule 2004 of the Bankruptcy Code to pursue discovery...

Are you saying your 1500 share order was filled @ 3.85 today?
That is a lot of cash on hand...
What do you think Biz. Looks like a boxed exacta play to me :)
Lehman today is sitting on nearly $11 billion in cash
And finally, liquidity is king. Looking at the Lehman estate today, we can see how the mentality behind the U.S. Chapter 11 process has allowed the once-venerated firm to rebuild its cash coffers even in bankruptcy, to the ultimate benefit of its creditors. Lehman today is sitting on nearly $11 billion in cash, up from $200 million when the firm filed for bankruptcy. These reserves mean the firm does not have to sell its real estate and other proprietary assets until the markets for those assets sufficiently recover.

I'm putting these shares in my underwear drawer. No one is going to get them from me :)
There are no shares left. The institutions own them all.
Here's proof...
http://data.cnbc.com/quotes/LEHPQ/tab/8
Loomis, Sayles & ... has 2.2M alone, and there are only 4 million shares.
they wouldn't let me fill anything less than the current ask so I filled @ 3.40.
It was very strange experience today buying this stock. I had some delays and partial fills with wampq, but nothing like this. This really tripped me out.
Go LEHPQ!!! After you fill the rest of my order :)
You would think so with the way they are handling my order.
Looks like I was one of them... and I didn't if have my bid that low. Look @ post #584.
After reviewing my 6 partial fills today I noticed they gave me 15 shares @ 2.25 when my bid was at 2.95 a share. What is up with that? They were trying to bring the PPS down. Games are being played here folks. I'm still waiting for my order to be completely filled @ 2.95. I will have to drop it now to try to pickup more shares for the money.
5/12/2009 3:18:26 PM ET LEHPQ BUY 16 LEHPQ @ $2.25 Completed Executed
I will post some interesting news I found once I get completely filled tomorrow as I'm still in the process of loading up the truck :)
And so far 6 trades are partials from me. The shares are really tight. I'm still waiting for them to finish filling my order.
I understand this is a blog but it's still good article...

I think this is JPM equivalent preferred stock.

I must admit if my shares get converted to JPM shares I will be selling them right away. There is no way I will be supporting that company in what they do.
I won't be holding that POS.
LMAO. I hear that...
Throw "lightning" a James Dimon action figure and put it up on you tube :)
oh, got it :)
You might want to inform them the character was superman and not spiderman :) In this case WAMU MAN!!!
