One more time and my last. Visser made his fortune from furniture. He has a die cast business.
He's into NASCAR...that takes a LOT of time...he's retired...his love is NASCAR...he jumped into LQMT because of its potential, probably thinking the "die cast" was the way to go. I'm sure he sees the benefits of the ENGEL/LQMT alliance. I'm trying to see the benefits of what's happening...Visser is just another piece of the puzzle...I have no man crush on him...Yes, he's Vietnam Veteran...I was drafted in 1970...that has nothing to do with anything in this stock. It has nothing to do with his capabilities.
Many men that made great fortunes on one area, lost it all thinking they could make another fortune in another area...it has a lot to do with luck..sometimes you roll the wheel and it hits..sometimes it doesn't. I have read many stories of men making great fortunes...and moving into another area, with great arrogance..and losing it all...I'm concentrating on the benefits of the ENGEL/LQMT relationship.
Wanting it to fail, for VISSERS benefit makes no sense..monetarily...but romantically, perhaps.
I took you off of ignore to answer. My term of "cutting away from VISSER" only means they are moving away from the doomed to failure concept of Visser having sole rights to make parts. Visser should be giddy with enthusiasm with the new plan. He'll be able to fill a warehouse full of the ENGEL TURN KEY MACHINES...to make parts for companies that don't want to buy or lease. He can make parts for the
Racing Circuit. His future is unlimited if he goes this new way. There will be room for MANY Vissers.
If he's a smart man..he'll see the potential for himself...if he's an arrogant boob...then he'll miss a great opportunity. And ENGEL knows how big this can get. They have the knowledge of mold machine technology. This new way, every one wins. ENGEL, VISSER, LQMT and MATERION......
if rational thinking prevails...they will all be on board with it.
Its possible that those items could not be produced with a consistent quality. If VISSER was making them...what machines was he using?? Did they have a lot of "re work" to do?? Were they "cast parts" that needed more work?? Remember some time ago, they admitted they had trouble with quality control. Those first springs may have been almost "hand made"...and maybe that will be the argument between LQMT and Visser.... The site I put up a day or so ago..showed how fast China is making "mould machines"..how many they have now...for plastics....I think it said the US only has 3000.
China has about 30,000 and cranking out more. ENGEL is builiding up a support facility in North America..maybe even manufacturing facilities. Who knows..maybe ENGEL may decide to also become a "MOULD MACHINE" enterprise to make parts....No one is going to tell us their plans...there is too much competition...and APPLE sure doesn't want anyone to know if they are ready for an IPHONE LIQUID METAL...all those companies I referred to...NONE of them told investors in advance what their plans were...Just try and read between the lines....they do have plans....cutting themselves away from VISSER was a BIG MOVE...and a good one.
For the weekend. Many companies that have gotten bashed on message boards and in the markets, have fooled everyone and gone in a totally new direction to grow. Its never been predicted. Its always been done behind the curtain. All of a sudden "BAM" there it is. Another way to generate revenues.
Before the new agenda, the CEO's and management were called idiots, etc. Just as has been happening with LQMT. "BAM", LQMT teams up with ENGEL to produce a TURN KEY MACHINE. The "VISSER" plan all of a sudden becomes a much smaller part. If everyone invested had a vision of LQMT metal being used in all parts of the economy, the VISSER plan alone wasn't going to get there. The ENGEL Turn Key machine will, if successful, propel the metal into many more markets than VISSER could have done.
We should all be hoping this works. In the longer term what LQMT is doing now is a much better plan.
I'm sure many were waiting for a big contract announcement so they could sell on the 'pop' and had no intention of holding this stock for a longer term GOOD LUCK to those that have it as a longer term play. Lets all get behind STEIPP and LQMT and hope for the best. The LQMT/ENGEL machine proves they were doing much more behind the curtain than anyone imagined.
I'm holding. Through the grape vine I have heard that those early investors of LQMT after the APPLE
agreements, will be the first ones to take a trip on the intergalactic LQMT Warp Drive Cruiser.
Its worth the wait.
ENGEL also has Financial Support and Leasing options for their machines. I didn't even think of the leasing concept. I AM REALLY feeling good about this. As much as I can with a stock worth 15 cents and the world of Metallurgy to conquer. Just have patience.
The bottom line IMO is that the idea of Visser being sole source, was a flawed concept but at the time the only one. Things change. Technology changes. Ideas change.. Not many companies want to make big contracts (especially the government) when there is only one entity
that can make the product. Unless you have a scale like Lockheed Martin. Its fine if Visser stays in the game...but if we believe this metal will be a "world wide use" metal...then Visser can only be one big player of many big players...many "middlemen" manufacturers, like the China picture...of rows and rows of mold machines. Plus machines at some of the end users place. And all this could be more revenue streams for LQMT. I like where this is going...but it will take time...to get those Machines cranked up and out the door...ALL over the world...$$$$$$
Two New Posts on the LM Blog...which confuses the issue a little more..
http://info.liquidmetal.com/blog/bid/313900/Liquidmetal-Spring-Prototype-Test-Results#Comments
Just try to imagine what they may be going through..if we can believe them. The Legal issues with VISSER, the legal issues with APPLE and the CE/NON CE agreement now that the selling of the machines will be priority. Glitches with the "turn key machine". Perhaps new add ons to the machine so it can make bigger pieces. And whose making the pieces for the APPLE PHONES?? If we can assume IPHONE 6 will be "it". Is ENGEL??? Is APPLE now buying the ENGEL machines for the production??
Are they having more breakthroughs in using different combinations of the metal and getting those patented.??? Steipp indicated that. THERE is a LOT going on..we hope....and if pictures are divulged
lets remember the Chinese don't give a HOOT about Patents....one does not want to give CHINA any more advantage than CHINA can STEAL by itself...I imagine China is dying to get their hands on the ENGEL machine plan. One has to decide...there will be more months of waiting...What, you have a bus to catch??? Learn to live on the budgets you have now..just in case we are left high and dry with a worthless stock. I'm enjoying Progresso Soup with many added items...very healthy. Lost 10 lbs in the last few months and hope to lose more.
A picture of a Injection Mold Machine Factory in China..the last two paragraphs indicate
how fast CHINA is building them...and where the US is...this is plastics I assume, but the same will be for metals...I dont know how many of the TURN KEY machines Engel can make each week, but you can see what the pent up demand will be..and how the VISSER plan..could have been left in the dust...
if he kept exclusive rights to producing the liquid metal parts...that was a totally stupid outrageous idea especially if the initial metal patent is over. Unless Visser was prepared to pump most of his fortune into a building such as is in China...this "VISSER" was very likely doomed to failure.
Thank goodness, LQMT and ENGEL went their own way to plan on building the machines to sell.
The goal now is speed. How fast can they get the machines out. Visser's money is as good as anyone elses. Have no idea where China may be with mold machines for metal..or if APPLE will go that way.
But the US IS WAY BEHIND...in this new technology...the mold robotic machines..who knows where that can lead...Car Bodies?? If the Electric car takes hold..and soon the Hyrogen Cars..sooner than many think...those car bodies can be of any design...with no engine compartment to design around.

I'm sure this was posted in MAY, but here it is again, in case anyone missed it..
http://www.themoldingblog.com/2013/05/15/fire-in-the-hole-good-news-for-apples-favorite-material/
"The Molding Blog" dated 13 November...interesting write up on ENGEL...it has to do with plastics, but will give you a good idea on the workings of the company...in one of the segments they talk about an ENGEL VERTICAL machine. The first time it's been shown...I remember a few weeks ago a patent came up that was only APPLE that had a "Verticle" patent for Mold Machines...it wasn't part of the Crucible...
but could ENGEL have the Verticle technology already in this plastics machine??
http://www.themoldingblog.com/
I'm afraid its going to be a long wait, and most ideas of the future have come and gone. We are all in the dark now. The whole game has changed.
Could there be a possibility that things are on hold until APPLE introduces their LM IPHONE??? I'm not sure who would be making the IPHONE parts....would it be the ENGEL/LQMT Turn Key Machine???
How many would they need?? Wasn't the machine shipped back to ENGEL??? Why??? Engel, I believe has put on their web site that they have recently expanded their "show room" area...maybe that's really "manufacturing room(s)". Perhaps that's one of the reasons they are expanding. What better way for advertisement than for APPLE to announce the awaited Liquid Metal Phone, made with ENGEL machines. Engels and LQMT"s phones would be ringing 24/7. Would it be worth a "stall" by ENGEL and LQMT until the LM IPHONE comes out?? I think so. It would be an advertising blitz worth tens of millions of dollars. Just a thought. What's another year to wait??
When the ENGEL/LQMT Turn Key Machine is approved....it seems its very close...you can bet ENGEL is going to go to ALL its customers...tell them all about it...and suggest...perhaps they would want to add Liquid Metal to their agenda of plastics. I'm betting a few if not many of ENGELS customers
may be very interested into expanding their products into metal. All we need is one announcement
of one of those machines going to a customer for the production of Liquid Metal parts. I'm not sure where APPLE comes in to make theirs. So much is behind the curtains...now more than ever. Its exciting and frustrating. But any day...one announcement could set us on our way.
Wonderful...hopefully the human race will take flight before it goes over a cliff.... and won't the 1% have a good life??? YES....lol. Lets hope LQMT takes flight to get us up into that category.
And thank GOODNESS VISSER is being moved somewhat out of the picture...he was an albatross to speedy fielding of the LQMT metal...and hopefully, and It has to be that way..because of the dual patent...LQMT will be making revenue from the machine sales..and any "patents" to those machines if they are involved in that too, and patent revenue to new variations of the metal.. ..which I assume they are...its a new and good revenue stream coming...
if they can get past VISSER..and I"M SURE Visser has the brains to see..."his plan" wasn't going to work.
Some days this all looks so bad even for a hype poster like myself. OH GAAD the shares..for crying out loud. And at this stage, it seems anything can happen. But as I drank my coffee..and the caffeine started its work...I thought about the ENGEL machine, the Lockheed Martin possibility, the just recently found patent drawings, that indicated Liquid Metal for IPHONE 6, the new strategy of getting the Machines out into the market place, thus securing a locked in user base. That is SO Much better than the VISSER plan. And Barney, if he uses his fortune to buy his own machines, he can be a HUGE supplier of companies that don't want an on location machine base. And all the smaller companies that will want LQMT metal products. And from Steipp, they are working on other iterations of the metal, which WILL be patented. Those are a LOT of positives for potential, against that gawd awful amount of shares. But they did find investors. At least its a less stressful way to go instead of continually dumping shares into the market. So, I feel better. Yes, we may have MONTHS to wait for anything to happen. But each week something manages to happen to let us know they aren't just sitting on their duffs giving themselves bonus packages. And we are dealing with a metal that can "take over the world"..the potential uses are beyond imagination, in every aspect of the economy.
I'm ready for the worst, but I'm held here because of the best that may happen.
GOOD LUCK.
I can't figure out what is going to happen to the CE/Non-Ce agreement for the patents under the Crucible. Maybe that's why the last patent the "verticle" patent. Didn't have the "Crucible" name to it.
APPLE knew about all this VISSER and ENGEL machine issue... So, they kind of lost control when LQMT decided to go with selling the machines. Would that CE/non CE agreement also have covered the BAsic Metal that lost its patent??? That would have worked only until another company created a machine
that could make CE parts....and now that company is ENGEL. (perhaps) We may as well face it, we have lost all the vision we had before...because with VISSER and the Crucible Patents and the CE/NON CE agreement, it was all in a nice package. Now that package is torn to shreds.. Talk about a conundrum. I'm holding...but now I'm not sure what I'm holding...what is LQMT NOW??? And APPLE buying LQMT..that's another can of worms...is APPLE going to be working with Lockheed Martin??
Even if APPLE buys LQMT...ENGEL is part owner of the "TURN KEY MACHINE" that may be able to make parts with the basic metal..so the cat seems to be out of the bag no matter what...
I believe the Engel Turn Key Machine was described as a dual patent with LQMT, LQMT's and ENGELS scientists working together to develop it. Im sure Engel has the funds to distribute it, to make more...
and I cannot see LQMT not getting part of the profits from the sale of such machines...becasuse along with the machines will come the patents LQMT has with APPLE...but right now..we have no clue on how that's going to work... And there are more patents in for approval, and STEIPP said they are working on different types of the basic metal. It all sure seems so much better than just a few months ago. LOTS of potential now. All we can do is wait and see what happens. Glad I'm in...I wouldn't want to be sitting on the sidelines, worrying that a big positive PR may come out AFTER the markets close....GOOD LUCK>
Perhaps ENGEL wants to make sure it works, and LQMT"s legal entanglements are resolved, so their reputation isn't blemished by a penny stock companies patent and agreement disputes.
Hmmmm...another clue possibly, as we try to put together this now tangled web of intrigue.
Just wondering...I'm sure its been posted before. If the basic LQMT metal has lost its patent...and the ENGEL/LQMT machine can manipulate it...not using a Crucible Patent....what's going to prevent ENGEL and LQMT from selling it to companies to make CE parts??? Or are there other variations of the metal that will be used on the IPHONE 6 that are patented. This all has gone from an inch worm to an octopus. IMO. It seems many things are progressing...but in so many more directions.
Yes. Indicates just how big the amorphous metals are going to be. And who knows who else is working on the technology. This makes ENGEL getting out the machines that more important.
If a company has a good idea....its useless if they take so long a similar product takes the lead.
That's why the VISSER plan was headed to disaster. There is no way his "production" could have expanded enough to become leader. LQMT is not in a vacuum. They know they have to get the metal out to consumers as fast as possible. The basic metal has lost its patent. And the time is ticking for the others. The machines were the only way to go. Get the machines out, the Materion metal, and let the companies make all the different parts they want. LQMT seems to be on a much better road than before. Visser has to know this too.
Perhaps with the issue of Visser, they don't want the angry fires to get too hot until its all resolved.
And there may be an issue with the APPLE CE patents..and how that's going to be resolved if the machines are being sold...how will it all be controlled....this is all very complicated....just relax and see where the train takes us.
Have fun...I'm holding long term.
It doesn't make sense...especially if they were going to make more of the PHONE of liquid metal in IPHOHE 6....when they do, they will make a HUGE noise about it..because it will be something no other competitor will be able to do...of course this new ENGEL machine initiative puts a new crinkle in everything...things sure have gotten complicated recently.
Its not the "pumps" here you need to be thinking about....its the other web sites describing the new APPLE patents, and the ENGEL MACHINES, , etc....some investors are going to be taking all this in...
and soon perhaps they may start to decide its time to BUY..because the risk ratio is pretty good.
So, you have to decide..are you in or out...because when the right decision is obvious..some big gains will have passed.
Good Find!!! So, we have the "Patently Apple" article that came out on the weekend, and now this.
The rumors are starting early for the IPHONE 6 and Apples recent patent disclosures.. Hopefully more legs will grow on this. We have months to wait (perhaps Aug. 2014?) for the phone, but things sure seem to be popping already with LQMT. Wouldn't want to be a sideline sitter at this point. Any day
some "big coin" could decide.."nows the time to take a chance and jump in."
GOOD LUCK LONGS.
Very interesting observation. I think at the CC, Steipp indicated both situations could exist.
And I think that's the big point. To have VISSER have exclusive rights to making parts of LQMT for other companies...its amazing how logical it all seemed before. How we all seemed to buy the concept. Even when ENGEL was involved to make the machines. No One here, if I remember correctly, suggested..."what if ENGEL develops a machine that they can sell just like all their other machines...to the companies so they can make whatever they want." We all just bought the original concept...now it all seems so lame. There is no way the VISSER manufacturing concept on its own, could have expanded fast enough. I imagine at the earlier CC's...Steipp and his scientists and Engel were working on that "turn key" machine...because they knew that was the fastest way to get the product out and take a big share of the marketplace. Message boards can be helpful..to find information...like the Patents..etc...but I think big credit is due LQMT and ENGEL
for going this way. VISSER can still be involved. He can still fill a warehouse with machines to make parts for companies that don't need the ENGEL machine in place. I just hope his ego allows him to see it..usually people with that kind of money, are more concerned about status and being right....than doing what's right for a company. Some will even take a company down instead of admitting someone else has a better idea. But I don't think VISSER is in that position to do so. I'm excited about the prospects. FINALLY there is a BIG VISION to all this.
So many positive things have happened these last weeks. TURN KEY MACHINE, New APPLE Patents that seems to show a LIQUID METAL Iphone is soon to be a reality. Entities that are buying the extra shares, instead of selling them on the market. Someone(s) taking a risk. Lockheed Martin perhaps in the future. And possible separation from the limiting agreements with Visser..We are FAR beyond what we were all contemplating at the first of the year. Don't look ahead to days...look ahead to months....the company is transforming from a very limited endeavor that was doomed to failure, to Selling Machines all over the world that can make their own pieces of Liquid Metal product...with royalties coming back...and if the LQMT/ENGEL machine is a joint patent..which it is...LQMT will be getting revenue there too. ITS ALL GOOD..but if you're not patient now...you'll be one of the first ones to sell your shares without stepping back and taking in the big picture.
GOOD LUCK.
Considering that LIQUID METAL is for the world, not regional businesses, it should be obvious
to VISSER, that this new plan is the best. There is absolutely no way Visser could have gotten cranked up in production enough to become "el primo" manufacturer of parts for the world. If his ego isn't blown totally out of proportion to his accomplishments in selling mattresses....he'll wise up and accept this new plan for distribution. If he can't see it...he's a total dullard. He got lucky..in making his fortune. But many that do, think it was all their doing..and eventually want to do it again in another area...and lose everything they had.
Recent surprise announcements by LQMT have drastically changed the dynamics. Sharp turns from where we thought LQMT was going also were not predicted. New Patents were not predicted.
The Turn Key Machine patented by Engel and LQMT was not predicted. The fielding of the machines
to customers with a technical team to offer support was not predicted. The challenge to Visser by LQMT was not predicted. And just yesterday, more APPLE patents posted on a site, that seems to indicate a Liquid Metal APPLE device is close. How close?? No one knows. An APPLE commercial
on a now selling PHONE, shows a "liquid metal" flowing around an APPLE IPHONE...is that a "hint" to
APPLE NERDS as to what's coming?? Why else would they design the commercial in such a way.
Knowledge of past history of APPLE or ENGEL, OR LQMT, is useless. Enormous Egos will remain on the board as they do on all boards. But each one of us has to determine the risk/reward of holding this stock. Absolutely any day, an announcement could come that propels the stock at the open, to double, perhaps triple its price. You either want to get in to catch any wave, or you want to trade, and try and influence investors to benefit yourself...Holding means you feel there is a good chance
we are nearing success. For me, recent announcements and events have given me even more rationale that this is a good risk.
GOOD LUCK LONGS.
They would have announced it with big bands and rockets... But wait until the next phone...
I think that "liquid" looking metal in the commercial..was a hint of what was coming next...
and of course we have these new patents...I'm waiting for other sites to post the same APPLE patent info..to get this going.
Over a million shares at the open?? highly suspicious. Probably Barney...throwing a tantrum.
The patent Liquid Metal news has got to catch fire next week.....all the APPLE News sites will grab onto it and the rumors and speculation will start and not stop until the phone comes out....Glad I'm a "Long Term Holder"...at least now the rumors will have something very big to back them up.
YAHOOO....
I think Reuters left out one item..hopefully that will be leaked later...
(Reuters) - Apple Inc is developing new iPhone designs including bigger screens with curved glass and enhanced sensors that can detect different levels of pressure, Bloomberg reported on Sunday, citing a unnamed person familiar with the plans.
With screens of 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, the two new models would be Apple's largest iPhones, the person told Bloomberg.
The new handsets are still in development and plans haven't been completed, Bloomberg said citing the person, adding Apple probably would release them in the third quarter of next year.
Two spokeswomen for the Cupertino, California-based technology company did not immediately respond to requests from Reuters seeking comment.
(Reporting By Dhanya Skariachan; Editing by Sandra Maler)
WOW...excellent find......there is sure to be a lot of "chatter" on this next week...Now we have this....plus the news of the ENGEL/LQMT Turn Key Machine...many things lining up. If APPLE comes out with a LM Phone, while the TURN KEY machine is being fielded, LQMT is going to get front page headlines....Some need to start making the decision if they want to remain on the sidelines..
Nice write up. Yes...things are getting very complicated...and very interesting. May we all come out of this smelling like roses....
Note: Posters you don't want to read, you can just skip by...its very easy...just as good as "ignore".
unless its a poster whose prose, you are infatuated with..and the poster does have good ideas...
then yes, you will be forced to read..lol...
ENGEL/LQMT patented Turn Key Machine. Its hard to fathom LQMT not getting some profits from the sale of the TURN KEY MACHINE all over the world...when LQMT owns part of the Patent...and also, perhaps some royalty agreements with the machine buyers on items produced...if Crucible Patents are involved.
again..its an example of some seeing the glass half empty...(perhaps traders) and some seeing it half full...(Holders).
