either we're the only 30 people who think pphm will be worth much anytime soon, or somebody awfully powerful is pretty damn good at keeping the share price from moving up.
biotech sector is still trying to take a big dump and hasn't been able to follow through yet.... when world situations are are dicey, pros like to take money off the table before weekends... i suspect we'll see that today
wouldn't be surprised to have a very bad biotech day today...
his unidentified investment expert who has heard things...
don't worry, everyone.
hypi's buddy says we'll be double digits by late summer :)
a well-known moderator of another board posted that UTSW is doing a 1B bavi/yervoy trial. he did not trash pphm.
holy smokes.
no, ex, it's more so bavi will hopefully have the immune system ready to go when yervoy shows up...
you don't think it's sarcasm? i'd bet on it.
jake17..
i didn't mean to attack you with my dilution response. i checked your profile, and you have a right to be impatient.... try to hang in there...we may make a good move before the year is out. try to keep in mind that our entry point in terms of share price has nothing at all to do with the market cap and value of the company... PPHM is worth more now than it has been in a while except for a few weeks in late 2012...
krak..
insult over compliment?
thanks?
always had a backbone, just not a nasty/condiscending disposition like you do at times.
doesn't mean i'm not perpetually impatient. i've been in PPHM since 2000 and i won't live forever. sooner than later here would work for me, but i've lost my tolerance for the tired and moronic complaints which take up entirely too much bandwidth here.
Unemon...pphm was one of the best performing biotechs this week. so eat it raw.
although the biotech index is down quite a bit more than PPHM!
water torture.
almost scared to say i agree, Libra
i agree that they're trades from early in the day, but it's pretty unusual for them to come in that late after the close. one of the 'frontrunner' traders must have had a software problem. (NOT was we want to hear!)
no...it's "Peregrine Pharmaceuticals..Keeping Rates Alive"
in which decade will we hold a share price increase?
all you had was negative views anyhow
are you waiting for people here to have an aha! moment and tell you you're right?
really????? gosh, nobody here ever thought of that....
if they had PR'd it this morning, they'd get bashed for trumpeting mouse trials.
at least they got the word out to people who actually pay attention to what they're doing that the science is being bolstered....and rather rapidly.
manipulators with agendas identified this stock a long time ago as one they could play like a fiddle, IMO. add to them the day traders, who also identified this one as a reliable trading stock, and there you have it...
Unemon...
the IBB isn't, by itself, manipulated. PPHM is.
jeez
1.81 in frankfurt :/
1.94 in frankfurt
so do we have any patent??? if not, it ain't ours.
wouldn't be surprised to see the usual suspects putting articles out this week saying what a joke PPHM is based on those paragraphs, while they choose to ignore Dr. Brekken's on-the-record comments last week in New York that the results submitted to the FDA (60% OS improvement) were understated due to the way they had to adjust the arm reporting after the fraud (which i couldn't get a comment on from anyone on this board when i raised the question of whether or not a respected personality such as he would be expected to make such a claim)
so
will we see any pro-pphm articles this week in the business media?
hopefully, they found out the potential partner making the offer was behind Fargo and told them 'thanks but no thanks'
ex...
i think you misunderstand... sounds like first they reversed the A and B assignments, making B the doce + placebo arm and the A the 1mg arm...which is a gross violation on its own....and then they mixed up individual drug/placebo assignments as they progressed.
does not sound good for fargo....does sound good for pphm.
BCS...
no, they wouldn't
your comments are far too appreciated for you to be smacked.
you make this a better board every time you post.
what are some of your favorite snacks?
moderators... leave us alone for a while. we need a break.
irish..
Bukowski's!!!! i feel sad for those who have not been there
....yet!
where's the best chowder in boston?????
my daughters both went to Northeastern, a fantastic school... (Garnick's place, btw!) one moved back to beantown from cali, so i still get up there often..but have not found great chowder yet in 12 years.
gwen, somebody...tell me where the folks-in-the-know go for the best seafood in greater boston, with chowder that isn't 40% flour-to-be-unnaturally-thick. i'm looking for chowders that are a little thinner...and Rhode Island chowder works, too...
No-Name and Legal Seafood are both out, along with the Sail Loft...
suggestions?
cheynew...it's warm in connecticut! 40s! big plans for the weekend up boston way?
i've been here a long time, i've complained about the run-ups never holding up, and so on.
it's a little weird, but i'm at peace today. sure, i could have sold at $5.39, $3, etc...but if i had, sure as shit, it would have gone to $10 the next day and i'd have never forgiven myself. i had a dear friend (super-super wealthy investor) who's told me i'm nuts for sticking with Peregrine congratulate me on pphm's move a couple of weeks ago...then he shot me a note shortly thereafter telling me biotech was going to crash.. i told him i was going to ride pphm back down again, if necessary, and continue waiting for the run that sticks.
i'm at peace because i know in my heart it's being played like a fiddle by people who know it's in play, but it's not going anywhere till their bets are placed for it to do so. they'll churn it in meantime cuz they can.... they have info and resources we don't have, and they'll continue taking advantage of it.
finding out that shorts were up 50% after they already crashed it did no retail customers any good at all. the s&p took a dive the other day after the pros could see that somebody put a multi-BILLION dollar short bet on it...and they know that means there's a good chance some powerful entity will take it down so they can cash in. these guys don't place those bets to give their money away.
i am finally comfortable that the science here will be monetized in the near future. and that means inside 18 months. pinch me.
djohn...please post this on biotech values and point out that lilly is concerned even if the geniuses on biotech values aren't.
do we have to go all the way back to the 1.20s again? how can this science be worth so little with 1400 publications?
biotech index up, without us again
jq... AEs are extremely limited with bavi, and everybody who pays attention knows and accepts that, including the most arrogant skeptics at the Board-Who-Shall-Remain-Nameless. given bavi's minor AEs for years across all trials, you're splitting hairs. trial after trial has associated AEs with SOCs, not bavi, and i suspect you know that if you've looked at all of their trials.
ok, wall street pros..
why are we having AH action tonite at a level, while not heavy, continues, and is up a little?
seems like movers and shakers can't decide which way to take it right now...before it goes waaay up, i hope.
so, jq, are you just plain sticking to the position that the P2 results were tainted and, therefore, worthless, demonstrating nothing? just say it, then.
