Thats OK Mide.
Why don't they just buy them all back at one time, and then sell over the next week. Seems its always us little guy's that come out on the loosing end of these mistakes.
Funny how these mistakes always are at the benefit of big money!
Even for GTE, that was the most volitile I've ever seen in so short a time.
I picked up another 1000 shs though at 1.26. I wasn't sure when to pull the trigger though.
Doc, Low, I agree with both senario's.
I think Low is accurate mostly when indicators (MACD,ADX,etc.) show no near term indication of turning positive.
I think Doc is accurate when we have convergence of these indicators like we had today.
Today, early on I posted about the shorts getting their sell signal when -DI crossed ADX. Although I think there was some covering, I also believe today we simply saw some early investors jumping the gun somewhat on the indicators.
Now for Wedn. I think Doc will be dead on and stock will move on up simply because indicators MACD, ADX-converging & ready to give buy signal WEDN, will bring in many new holders & swingers. I think we see primarily what we saw today with some shorts trying to slow it.
However, I hope they will be over run with fresh new money coming in and some old coming back as well.
Either way Wedn will be interesting.
Any opinions welcome.
Looks like shorts just got there exit signal, -DI just crossed ADX heading down at this point. Good time to buy.IMO
Holein, I actually was looking for a retrace from today's high of about 50% (guesstimate) to about 1.21. Figured it may hold this a while then up more at end of day. Just a best guess based on past experiences with GTE.
Nice Link Doc, Thanks. Lets hope more institutions see the long term benefits for GTE.
Looks like there may be a little short covering going on or we have some more institutional buying. Any thoughts anyone.
From other board, Great to listen to about the Hedge Funds.

Design, the credit is all yours, I just figured Huff was tired of being sucker punched after hours and would anticipate something coming from the shorts.
This may have been intended to be a counter to thier move, but either way, the company is fighting back. Wonder how the shoe feels on them now.
Look for the PPS to start recovering Monday. Once you've been beaten down, there's nothing left but getting back up.
Also, Big Credit should be given to Huff & crew for rushing to get this out by the close today IMO. I think today was a great start to building back shareholder confidence.
Very nice observation from Rocky, on his board,
I find it very interesting that Caterham Financial has not sold any of the almost 13MM shares they have since converting them in December, over 4 months ago. On top of that they are purchasing more shares per the latest 8K.
(from 10K)
"In December 2005, the Company entered into an agreement with Caterham wherein all 35,000 Series A Preferred shares were converted into 12,931,334 post-split shares of GlobeTel common stock in full settlement of all obligations of the parties."
I'm just curious who the shorts crony is going to be to announce something after market close today.
They appear to have started the pattern anyway.
Already see they added a couple to the boards here like Fortune.
Who knows, Huff may be ready for them today!
Amazing when the amount of money going into or out of a stock is not what actually controls the PPS!
If this is the case, what chance does the average investor have in the long term if the SEC doesn't step in?
If needed then staff up to correct the problem. Thats what most business owners have to do.
Hell, use the fines to pay your staff.
I see these Hedge Fund operators & big money guys killing the stock market Piece by Piece over time.
This is supposed to be a way for a small start-up company to get some capital to grow thier business.
Now these entities have realized it's the easiest and least expensive way to Kill off thier competition!
I only have to question why the man at the top of the SEC chain is not held accountable for this?
If I didn't do my job I wouldn't be around. All the excuses in the world wouldn't help either, like we're under staffed.
My boss would ask: who is responsible for staffing. and so on.
Got to love that Margin! Nice.
This traffic has significantly increased margins of approximately 7%.
Thanks Design, well now we know whats next anyway. Figured something was overdue.
This should spark some institutional buying, IMO.
Don't know about these people selling here? Not wise IMO. This is still the same company that was $4.00 a share in DEC. before the Russian deal was ever announced.
This stock has simply been manipulated down over the last few months with the short tactics using the same entities they use on many different stocks. They simply used their media outlets to jump on a failed deal that every company has during thier start-up to dis-credit GTE and create dout in shareholders minds. And it works for those who don't look past the PPS short term.
If many would do thier DD and look up the attackers of GTE, and then take a look at those stocks they come out against, you will see the patterns of the short/big money manipulation. My guess is it's probably hedge funds due to the amounts they throw out so quickly.
However, these individuals realize they also create opportunity for the reverse to happen.
So if we want to use thier money against them, you must recognize when they start sneakily covering their positions.
My point is the company is as great as it ever was, this is just a minor distraction in the big picture and we will be back to Dec. levels, hopefully in the near term.
As I've said before, watch out when Huff is quiet for a while, because he's usually gathering his ammunition. I certainly wish he had been shooting before now like everyone does, but this company is just now pulling all segments together.
Hope, were shooting back soon?
Anyone know if we're halted or just a late open? Maybe news coming?
Don't know, but can't resist picking up a little more here. Hell, I thought I did good at 1.41. Good luck all.
The way this is going (with no response/support from company) we may be in for lower prices.
If the Russian deal is dead, wouldn't an 8k need to be filed? If so, how soon would they have to do it?
PMTR looking good!
Glow, I was looking at T&S from about 10:00 to where I posted and Buys outweighed sales by about 300k, as it appeared the specialist was holding it back.
Look at 10:03. A 100k block didn't even move the price at all, and neither did all other buy's up though the next 10 minutes.
But soon as a 12k block comes along, bam, down a penny.
Specialist had better make sure his house is in order!
My impression from the response on the lawsuit is that GTE is now ready to deal with this shorting issue.
I believe they will be looking at all area's, not just one.
PPS should be moving up faster than it is. I think specialist holding it back for friends to cover! IMO
Woo-Wee, This Pain is getting a little more intense as the PPS drops, so I guess I'll just buy more.
It usually works pretty well. With GTE, were just one PR away from blast-off!
Just for all to remember:
PPS may have dropped, but the company has just gotten stronger than ever IMO.
Stronger BOD!
More revs!
More projects!
It's all just now about to fit together.
Hey Pit, MF is not to smart. Looks to me like he has to keep telling his readers over & over not to buy GTE.
If his readers listened to him at all, they would already be out of GTE, Right?
Probably they are getting out while he's buying.
So do I Cabvinyard, however it is opportunity IMO to buy when it looks like gloom & doom. Usually thats when you see the best prices long term.
I try to do my DD on the company and not let a few people with access to subscription services or a law firm maybe working for special intrest groups to pull down the PPS sway my DD.
GTE has a product and services to sell, along with the R&D their working on Strat,Etc.
Just look at how far we fell recently (4.50 to 1.34), so yes I see opportunity here.
I believe the next deal we hear about will be signed, sealed, and delivered with money in the bank.
I'm very dissapointed with the Russian default, however as an investor I believe there is a great buying opportunity at this level now that the downside is built in.
Simply buy now and wait for good news to come. PPS will move back up soon.
My only hope is we wait until funds are banked, before PR's on future contracts. We will learn as we go, hopefully.

Here's my opinion,
Anyone can sue anyone for just about anything now days. So, a lawsuit means absolutely nothing in my eyes until I see some proof of wrong doing by Globetel.
Has anyone called Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. The firm handling the Russian deal.
Looks to me thier credibility may be questioned here in the near future if there was a skam. (May be just the firm for a counter suit)
Myself, I don't buy any of it. Its just an attempt to cover and I plan on buying as much as I can afford to Monday or Tues.
Amazing how large buys barely move pps, yet the smallest sell drops pps consistently.
Maybe specialist letting some big guys cover here to set a new base for an upswing.
I never thought we would go below the 1.90 to 2.00 mark because of the support there.
I did add to my position at 1.80 and again at 1.70. Sure hoping we've found a bottom here today.
Looks like they are looking for the 2.00 range or maybe 1.90 before this stops.
I'll add more thats for sure!
While I do swing some once in a while, this is opportunity long term, IMO
Someone please tell me if I'm reading this wrong. (See last section)
The operating loss of 31,442,798 for 2005 is suppose to be a one time non recurring event, however, they say the cost are attributed primarily to increased overall operating expenses and higher operating costs that they expect to continue.
If the losses were primarily operating costs, etc. they expect to continue, where does the one time non-recurring come in?
I need help on this one! Thanks to any replies.
The Company's operating loss of $31,442,798 for fiscal year 2005, compared with an operating loss of $13,041,451 for fiscal 2004, was heavily impacted by one-time, non-recurring charges and non-cash transactions totaling $18,726,304. Without such charges, the operating loss would have been $12,716,490. Such costs are attributed primarily to increased overall operating expenses, including higher operating costs and expansion of the Company's various programs. The Company expects operating costs to remain high as it expands operations, programs, projects and the staff to accommodate its growth in the US and overseas."
I agree Wolf, All we can do is take advantage of the cheaper prices if they present themselves to us.
I've averaged down many times on this company and come out O.K.
After careful consideration and studying both the T/A and the 10k.
I have to say: “I firmly believe in this company 100%”. I believe we will eventually get were we want to be in the long term.
As of now, I also believe we will drop considerably on Monday and probably Tuesday too. All this reasoning comes from the T/A in that we have watched our price be manipulated down on several occasions without any ammunition to speak of.
Naturally, we will have some sellers as always’s on Monday, but I think that’s when they get the ball rolling (momentum) to pull it down and sway all those undecided in their favor. I think many stockholders are on the fence right now based on the T/a and sideway’s action recently.
Then of course, you have the Seth’s & MF’s out there to further add fuel to the fire. Let’s face it, they now have the ammunition for the short term (Week or so) IMO.
When I say this, I only mean they will use the information in the 10K they want and not show the whole side of things. (Like officers & Directors salaries doubling, etc).
What we need in the near future is analyst coverage. I say that would go a long way’s toward combating the misguidance of some of the journalists. Problem right now is they reach so many people that our shareholder letter doesn’t.
Where will I stand? I’ve been asking myself this question all weekend!
I have decided to treat this situation like I would any business and try to lower my expenses. I am going to swing here (If I’m right). If I’m wrong then I’ll just buy back in higher, but that’s OK too, because we will be headed in the right direction. Best of luck to all on this board and our day will come.
Note: This reasoning is all JMO and barring any PR of course.

I was thinking of all the deals in the works and profitability when I read this off Rocky's board.
(per CEO Huff w/permission)
"Our ability to hit 800 meters is an unbelievable advantage. Every time you double the distance in transmission you cut your network backbone cost by 75%. This is a mathematical progression that is used in RF engineering."
itsjustme, That is a very proffessional observation. Thanks for sharing your insight.
Mide, Is this your opinion or is this from IR? Are you saying- We will see things posted on Globetel's web site before PR's are put on the wires?
I agree 100% Pit, It seems Huff loves suprises. Who knows we may show up with profits, Sanswire successful, Russia a done deal, and new contracts signed. Oh well, wishful thinking anyway.
Based on what Huff said in mid Jan., I say price moves up real soon. Say this week. I like the sections on increasing margins and Brazil as a large scale deployment and producing revenues in 1st qtr 2006.
Huff continued, "All divisions of GlobeTel are moving ahead as planned. Centerline, our carrier division, has experienced significant revenue growth, year over year, and is concentrating on increasing its operating margins. Current carrier based margin has been increasing on a weekly basis as traffic is transitioned onto our internal carrier backbone. The StrateVoIP Division, our SIP phone, is in the final stages of preparation for roll out of its first large scale deployment in Brazil. We expect this business unit to begin producing revenues and margin in the Q1 2006. Magic Money is rolling out several programs here in the US and also with our strategic partner FSS in India. FSS handles financial processing for Visa and MasterCard for 18 of the 20 largest banks in India, with over 120 million cards "on the street" in India, we look for significant market penetration with our remittance and telecom products in India. Magic Money will also add to our top line revenue and margin in the first quarter. As evidenced by the recent Russian announcement, GlobeTel Wireless is inundated with opportunity in virtually every corner of the globe. We continue to work closely with our Russian partners and are confident that site planning and installation will begin as planned and on schedule."
In closing, Huff added, "Sanswire Networks will float Sanswire II, the technology Demonstrator in February. Sanswire II has been equipped with the latest technology and our plans are to break the world high altitude record for rigid airships as we put the airship through its paces in 90 days of testing. Flight schedules over Edwards Air Force Base will be provided after Edward's Test Range approves Sanswire II for flight. This is dependent on approvals from the Range on safety procedures, timeslots on the Range and weather conditions suitable for flight tests. In summary, GlobeTel is moving ahead on all fronts and 2006 is the year that we transition from a R&D company to a sales and marketing company. This is our year to show what we can do."
